Not sure what the last 2 reviews are about but we've had Meridian Fence do several projects (aluminum pool fence and vinyl) and both times we had no issues. The quote was as advertised and the install was seamless. If you want a fence installed in 2 days you're most likely going to have to do it yourself. Plan ahead....

Beautiful workmanship, high quality craftmanship and materials, and competitive pricing. Lasting value/built to last (metal posts set in concrete, screw fasteners rather than nails or staples, etc.). Workers are thoughtful and polite, service is prompt, and communication is great. Best fence company in the Treasure Valley. Ours was a combination of horizontal cedar planking (part of which was located on a very challenging steep slope in the foothills) and wrought iron. We started receiving compliments on it the day it was put in. I highly recommend Meridian Fence!

If I could give negative stars I would. It was an absolutely horrible experience. We were sub-contracted out and the guy sent to do our fence let us know we were "just a weekend job and he had other customers in front of us". The workers refused to listen to anything we wanted and did things the opposite of what we asked. The fence was hung six inches off the ground and my small dog could just shimmy under, the tapered corners were not leveled with the cross fence, the gates have large center gapes because the latches were just hung in the middle and not cut our, the gates were made out of scrap lumber with dry rot in the boards. By the end it just felt vindictive. The final act was to open the gate into the 4 lane road we live on instead of the yard for safety as we asked. We had to call the owner repeatedly to fix item after item that was done wrong, done crappy, or just not done. Even with all our complaints we kept getting the same unpleasant, incompetent crew. I was extremely disappointed. It took 8 weeks to do less than 300 sq/ft of fencing. Then we were double charged for items. I had planned the fence in two projects, but at this point am not even considering having the rest of the fence done because our experience was that horrific. I can not and have not recommended Meridian Fence.

Took awhile to get on to their schedule but they were right on the money when they said they would be available to complete the work. I had a small job to do and in Mountain Home so was very happy they were willing to take my job. Some companies would not even return my calls. Workers showed on time, did an excellent job in putting up the fence panels and gate, and they left the project area in an exceptional condition. We were able to have Jesse come out pretty quickly to measure and provide a quote, which was pretty reasonably priced. We were able to get an install appointment for quicker than the stated timeline, probably because our job was somewhat small. Seri has been great to work with in the office. Dave our installer and crew were the nicest and most professional team you could come across. They were quiet, efficient, and made sure the fence was as sturdy as possible. They answered our questions and gave really good suggestions and the reasoning behind them. We are extremely thrilled with our fence and our experience with Meridian Fence. We have already received compliments on our fence and recommended them to neighbors!

I was totally impressed with the work crew that installed our 6 foot vinyl fence. We live on a half acre lot and 2/3 of the back yard had a concrete mow strip that had to be broken up and removed along with posts from previous chain link fencing. These guys removed it in record time, showed no negativity for how hard they had to work and worked hard and steady all day. Total time for removal and installation was only 3 days, positive attitudes at all times, very courteous and respectful and the finished project was beautiful. I couldn't be happier. I'm sure Meridian Fence is fine if you need a large new fence. The short version of a long story. I need some fence repair. It's actually a fair sized project and involves some new fence installation. I wanted to hire it out so I could focus on other project for the summer. I called Meridian Fence in the spring of 2018, they were too busy but suggested I call back in the late summer or early fall if I still needed to complete the work. Upon discovering most of the fence companies were already booked up for the summer, I had to just let the project go for the summer. I called Meridian Fence back in the latter part of October. The office manager Yvonne, asked me to send an email detailing my project needs, and advised me they are booked into the last of November/first of December. I let her know that was OK because the project did not need to be complete until the end of May 2019. I sent the email per her request but heard nothing back. After several days, I emailed her again asking if my request was received. Yvonne did reply to the 2nd email, she told me they were booked into January or February and instructed me to call back in December. I emailed her and explained the situation as I have here in this review. Yvonne's reply, "There is a high demand for large scale projects that involve new fencing". She went to say, "they try to anticipate a slow season where they can help customers with small projects" etc., and she ended with, "Sorry we are unable to help you at this time." Yvonne could have saved us both time and frustration by telling me during the spring call that they are not interested in my small repair project. Good luck, I'm glad business is that good ...

Meridian Fence knocked it out of the park with our install! Scott came out to do the estimate, and I had some concerns with the multiple elevation changes from the top of our property to the bottom. He walked me through their process, and made sure the final product was what we had envisioned; we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. They installed over 200 feet of 6 ft. privacy fence on our property line, and will definitely use them again when we are ready to fence the rest of the property.

NEGATIVE 10 WONT ALLOW NO STAY Meridian Fencing company where to start.... Honestly I am lucky enough they are so unprofessional they did not earn one red cent from me! It all started April 10 when I called to get a bid on new fence, The soonest I could even get a quote, April 25th at 1 pm. Okay I too an extra long lunch to wait 16 minutes for the estimator to show up.. Meridian fence and the estimator had over 2 weeks to be on time, this should have been the warning to run. We walked the fence line I explained what was required and what I wanted for fence, gate and HOA requirements. He measured everything and said he would email a bid the next day. I asked for a "ballpark" estimate and informed him it was a bit high. He said he could fall within my budget. I asked about timeline and he said 14th -16th May, insuring me he would put the project on the schedule.. I asked if he needed a deposit to secure the dates and he said "nope, as soon as I send you the bid and it is approved we will have it done for you. I received the bid with in reason, and the representative scheduled the 14th of May completing the 16th of May, requesting conformation the timeline and approval of the bid. I emailed him the same day and stated everything looks great see you on the 14th. Received email "Here the quote for the tan vinyl fence we talked about yesterday. I was able to lower the price a little bit to help. I will get this on the schedule and will get you start date later today. *** if you have any questions or need to me to make changes to the layout please let me know" I have you install setup for May 14th finish up around the 16th. ***** if those install date do not work for you please let me know? Replied: Yes, that will work.. I called Meridian Fencing Representative on May 9 to confirm everything was set to install the fence and ensured "everything looks good see you Tuesday." On Friday the 10th at 415 pm I received a call from .Meridian Fencing office demanding 50% deposit AND if it has to be paid with credit card 2% additional cost. Wait what???? I have been in the construction business in the valley for over 30 years !) 50% never 10-20% reasonable.. I informed the lady on the phone I was at work and could get her a check 830 pm when I am off work or Monday morning 7 am before work, I have a job. I told her how unprofessional she was for calling at closing of business less than 6 days prior to beginning demanding money or charging additional money for credit card. at no place, time or even in writing was a deposit (especially 50%) ever requested nor mentioned. At the bottom of the signed bid it does state " Required deposits must be paid 2 weeks prior to starting job." There was NEVER a mention of some deposit. I told her how unprofessional she was being and she hung up on me, emailing me this letter: at 356 pm. Hello, We have your start date as May 14 - 16; Our records indicate that we have not received the required deposit of 50 percent of the estimate. Please be aware that your project start date may be pushed a few days or weeks out until the deposit has been received. Please bring in a check to our office at 702 W. Franklin Rd, Meridian, or call the office to pay with a credit card (2% fee applies), no later than Monday, May 13. Thank you! ~Yvonne De Witt BEWARE of scams and unprofessional companies. do not do business with Meridian Fence company. I will continue to notify every contractor and realtor I know in this valley with copies of the unprofessional tactics these unethical people attempt.

The reason I initially contacted Meridian Fence is because a number of rod iron fences in my subdivision, the ones the developer used for a cheaper price, are fading and look awful. However, there are a few that after 10 years still look the same as when they were originally installed...crisp and dark. These few that still looked new were installed by Meridian Fence. Don't take the risk of using anyone else. The owner and salespersons at Meridian Fence are experts in their craft. I own my own law firm and timeliness is a huge issue. They were punctual, responsive, and oh by the way, did an amazing job. My vinyl gates are level and stylish and the rod iron looks awesome.

Meridian Fence built our backyard fence in 2009. This is a solid fence and I had no problems until recently. I had a stringer rot out and they sent a service rep to come out and investigate and fix it. The root cause was termites who had chewed through that 2x4. The service rep replaced the stringer, re-assembled that section of fence, and did not charge me a dime. This is on a fence that is 5 years old! I highly recommend this company if you are considering a new fence. Give them a shot at bidding it and know that they will deliver an excellent product and stand behind that product in the years to come. JNL

We thought we were getting a professional fence company. After the job was done (and paid) we were made aware that they did not put the fence on the property line. When we called the owner about it he said that they did that on purpose and that we should've known that's how they were going to do it. What?? It would have been nice if they told us this ahead of time. In addition, the owner called us liars and was downright rude to us on the phone. This is no way to treat a customer.

No need to worry; from estimate to completion, Nate and Meridian Fence Co. personnel were honest, reliable and on time, and did every thing they said they would. I had a great experience working with Meridian Fence for my fence installation. I had over 400 ft of 3 rail vinyl fence installed and I was impressed by the entire process. I was able to get a fair estimate on the front end and then when I was ready to schedule they were able to accommodate my needs. They even were able to move up my schedule when I needed it. Their installers were very professional and were able to line up the fence posts perfectly. They did not leave big dirt piles for me to clean up at all of the fence posts either.

Are you a Hindenburg buff? If you want to experience the administrative equivalent of this disaster, try to accomplish anything at all with Meridian Fence. The writing on the wall showed up there early: after a significant waiting period, I was sent the wrong quote. The second quote I received omitted the gate I had asked for; when I brought this to their hapless salesperson’s attention, he said he would throw it in at “know [sic] charge.” This might have been fine, if it had ever happened. And don’t even get me started on trying to establish basic information such as when the job is expected to take place, what time of day, et cetera. You may as well ask them to enter Heaven through the eye of a needle. For the record, I wasn’t asking for fun. My neighbors have a militant dog and I was trying to coordinate with them. The fated day of the theoretical fence installation rolled around (a month after the initial quote). I received a voicemail around 12:30 that the fence crew would be by in the afternoon. Okay. I called back around 3:30 to verify whether they still planned to be by. “Yes, Ma’am!” 5:30 rolled around. Meridian Fence did not. When I called the individual I’d spoken with on the previous occasions, he assured me that he was on his way. Well, maybe he was. Maybe, on a long enough timeline, so is the Apocalypse. It’s safe to say that I’ll probably be dead by the time either the fence installation or the end of the world transpire. Or, at least, it would have been safe to say that if I hadn’t cancelled the job. It took this much for me to cry “Uncle!” but I finally did. To be fair, they are exceptionally efficient at one thing: cashing the 50 percent deposit check they require in advance. What are the odds that this money will be returned within the ten business days their website indicates? I’m guessing that before this ordeal is over, I will be well-versed in the particulars of smalls claims court. I’d compare this debacle to the Titanic, but that was over a whole lot faster, and at least there was a power ballad backing up the cinematic adaptation of that. Unless you’re looking to achieve Maximum Zen, my advice is to stay far, far away from this confederacy of dunces. Unreal. 6/22/18: ETA: The owner's response is an outright lie. I was called once in the middle of the day on the day of the scheduled job and told only that they would be by "in the afternoon". Any subsequent communication occurred because I had to follow up—repeatedly. Nobody ever showed; therefore, no one was ever told to leave. Apparently, the owner inhabits a world in which the use of polysyllables constitutes great effort. So, check this. Meridian Fence is owned and operated by unscrupulous prevaricators (ooh, feel the effort!). Or, liars, if you prefer (effort lite). I am admittedly not in a position to comment on the craftsmanship of the fences themselves, since the massive administrative ineptitude of this “business” prevented this job from actually happening. May your karma be swift, liars. Your best is piss poor.
