Hawaiian Roofing was excellent to work with. Answered all of my questions and concerns immediately and without making me feel like the inexperienced home-owner I am. I was quoted from 2 other local companies (one who had allowed their business license to expire and the other who had not pulled permits with the city for other roofs in my area). Hawaiian was able to provide me proof of insurance, proof of permits and proof of their current license. Their work was quick, clean and I am left feeling confident in working with them.

Here are the facts: The roof leaked twice during construction and has now leaked again 2 years after completion, ruining the dry wall and wainscoting of our front hallway. The leaks during construction were repaired but they refuse to repair the current leak. They will not answer phone calls or respond to emails. Additionally (and embarrassingly), during construction the police were called due to a confrontation between this roofing company and another company working on a roof down the street. I would not recommend their services.

Overall we were very happy with the service from Hawaiian Built Roofing. They were courteous, friendly and the job was well done. They beat the other bids and did quality work. It did take quite a bit longer than we expected and were told initially, but the job was done well in the end. Each day, they cleaned up and they were fair when some unforeseen costs arose. Apparantly some of our neighbors got a little upset because the port-a-potty was parked in the street but Sandra called us as soon as she received the complaint and we worked out a solution quickly. I would recommend this company if you are more concerned with quality and price rather than getting it done quickly.

She worked with what my insurance company was willing to pay for the project. The work was professional and well done. Good roofers was just a little turned off when the owner told me anyone that signs up for military service basically deserves to die because thats what they signed up for!!! But the truth of it is they sign up to keep honest good people safe and ward off all enimies foreign and domestic.

We were in search of a roofing contractor to not only do a standard reroof, but replace most of our plywood decking which was warped, had moisture damage, and no H-clips. Since a roof is a huge investment, we would only go with a roofing contractor that did a high quality and dependable, professional job. I received a handful of names by top contractors in the valley. Out of those bids, I chose Hawaiian Built Roofing and am very happy that I did! I've remodeled/built homes for over 20 years so I know what to look for when deciding on a sub contractor. Hawaiian Built wasn't the cheapest (which you should never go with) but they weren't the most expensive either, they were right in the middle. Their CertainTeed warranty and professional bid is what made them initially stand out. And I really appreciated the time and attention given to my questions and the knowledge of details/codes to accomplish the final product we were looking for. With Hawaiian Built, the communication was available throughout the whole project and so was the knowledge and expertise. The aren't the fastest (which they'll admit themselves), but they are perfectionists which means I will get a high quality job! I wasn't looking for speed, just a job done right. Also, they supply their own porta-potty which is very considerate. When I had questions, they addressed them promptly and when they ran into issues (insulation problems, poor framing/structure concerns, exhaust pipes and incorrect roof penetrations) from the old roof, they contacted me and explained the details clearly so we could make informed decisions together. Again, I'm so glad that these guys did our roof and I highly recommend them! You won't be disappointed in the job you get. Very honest, high quality, and a job well done!!!

Unprofessional, unethical and untrustworthy. Called them to fix patio roof, they never answer phone calls or responded to communication in any timely fashion. We were strung along for two and a half weeks, four no-shows and no call that they weren't coming. When they did finally come to the house they told us that the roof project was bigger than they estimated (which they misdiagnosed) and didn't have time to fix it. Basically they bailed on the job two days before we were to close on our house (which they promised would get finished for the seller). Then they proceeded to lie to the people who bought our house, telling them that they rebid the job (which they never did), instead I received an email that they didn't have time to do the job. DO NOT waste your time calling these people,

In april 2016 a windstorm blew a bunch of shingles off my 18 yr old roof. Hawaiian built roofing sent someone out to meet with the insurance adjustor and provided me with a very reasonable cost estimate. They were polite on the phone, and showed up on time for everything, and returned calls and emails quickly. I ended up having them do the work as well, and I was pleased with the result. They were thorough and polite and cleaned up everything well. Due to on and off rain it took them an extra day to finish, but they were very careful to keep the house waterproofed, and they worked on the weekend to finish the job in a timely fashion. I would recommend them.

I was also asked to wait three weeks before they could start on my small/medium project. I was sure glad I did though. My neighbor had his roof replaced during that time and he nor I were impressed with their clean up or overall appearance of the roof. Im glad I waited as my roof looks great and their clean up was great. They even took out some of my rubbish that I had laying around in the back yard for me at no charge since they had a big truck that could haul it off. They guys worked hard everyday and were always cautious about us.

I didn't even notice they were at my house except for the Beautiful new roof. They would clean up the trash/paper & even use a blower to clean my entry way everyday. I really appreciated how effecient & how they take pride in their work. They also cleaned out all my rain gutters & raked up the mess. They reposition my Dish satellite as well. We recently had our roof replaced by Hawaiian Built Roofing. They were very professional and wonderful to deal with. Sandra answered all of our questions and kept us informed throughout the entire process. The job was met with challenges from the beginning, because of the weather. The first day, when they tore the roof off the house, they worked until dark getting the moisture barrier on because of expected rain. The rains came, and kept coming off and on all that week. When it did not rain they showed up and worked, all the while we were watching the skies and the weather radar. Kenny, Mark and the rest of the crew were really wonderful. They did an exceptional job and we are very happy with our beautiful new roof on both our house and shop. We can most certainly recommend them to anyone who is needing a roofing company. As a Real Estate Professional it is of the utmost importance to have inspections done almost immediately, and Hawaiian Roofing has always come through with same day or next day inspections. The inspections are thorough, and repair costs are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them and will use them for all my future roofing needs.

I called them and was told they would contact me within a few days to follow up for an estimate. I never received a call back. I then called back a week later and was told the same thing and again they never made contact. I called a third time, leaving a message for a third attempt and never received a call back. I was surprised they had good reviews about customer service when all I got was lip service. Very disappointed. They must be on "island time".

Awesome experience! I was in charge of replacing our old roof on a two building 16-unit condo in the Boise east end. Working with Sandra and Kenny was great. The communication throughout the whole process was superb and they were true to their word on all aspects of the job. We had a very poor quality roof that was dripping tar everywhere and they presented some very innovative, cost effective solutions. All condo homeowners are now proud of their new roof and very satisfied with the whole experience. I also used them for a small repair job on my Meridian home. In my opinion they have the best quality vs cost in the area.

Hawaiian Built Roofing just finished up our flat patio roof (60 milt TPO) and new covering on our 3 large skylights.New skylight covers really let the light back in! They provided many pictures when finished, and from the ground eye view it looks fantastic.They worked their schedule with my needs and i greatly appreciated that! Had reached out to many roofing companies and this company was the quickest to respond when some did not respond at all. They even came out same day to do the job (same-day was not expected from us) and did great. They sealed up a few roof openings and fixed some flashing and none of the work leaked one bit during heavy rain. Using them for my personal residence and will continue using them for years to come!

Everyone that works there was extremely nice and helpful. They did an amazing job on my roof. My mom went with a cheaper roofing company and had a leak right after they installed. (( she regrets going to them and wishes she went through Hawaiian built roofing )) They did a poor job. I had no problems with Hawaiian built roofing. They redid my roof , and they also redid my grandmothers roof. We both had no problems and were extremely happy with how well they did

I wish I had an option to rate higher than 5 stars because there's not a more deserving company. We have a quality roof with a guarantee, installed by the best in the business. Remember the customer service we used to get 20 years ago? They're still here, and they're at Hawaiian Built Roofing. The entire process went smoothly, quickly and professionally. I loved the color suggestions and they matched perfectly with our home. All costs and variables were discussed upfront, so there were no surprises. Construction was completed by the deadline they quoted. I don't want to get into the details of how they bent over backwards for us in case the offer is not extended to everyone, but I do want to mention that I was stunned and immensely grateful for what they did extra for us. I confidently and proudly give them my highest referral.

I've had the pleasure of doing business with Hawaiian Built Roofing twice now in the last 4 years. My first experience was while building a new shop. They were clearly the lowest bid and were more than happy to meet several "special conditions" I placed on the job. The job was completed in a very timely manner and roof looks and has performed great. My most recent experience was a couple of months ago when I noticed during a hard rain storm that terrible "drip, drip, drip" sound on the kitchen ceiling. I called Hawaiian built to ask advice. They showed up the next day, completed an inspection and we decided that all my roof vents needed replacement as well as the collars the around bathroom drain vents. The job was completed the next day in just a few hours. There was not one scrap left in my yard from the repairs and it's been a "drip-less" winter. Don't hesitate to give them a shot at your business ... you won't be disappointed.

When I got home from work the day of Tear off I couldn't even tell they had been there my yard was so clean they even took the leaf blower to my porch and cleaned it off completely as well. These guys do great work. Things took a little longer than expected, but I couldn't be happier with the end result. They really know what they are doing and will bend over backwards to answer questions and to make sure the work being done is what you expected. I had a couple minor issues that I brought to their attention and they listened and fixed the issue right away. Great people, very helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about their craft. A house I am selling needed roofing repairs. I contacted one roofing company that wanted me to replace the whole roof even though the inspector only said a few minor things needed repaired. That's when I found Hawaiian Built Roofing online. I contacted them, and they were able to repair the roof quickly. Not once did they ever suggest replacing the roof. I contacted them on a Friday. They did an estimate that Monday, and the repairs were done by Thursday morning.

After researching several roofers in Boise and getting 3 different bids, Hawaiian Roofers was the quickest to respond and actually took the time to explain what was causing my leaking roof into the house. On top of that, their bid was substantially lower from the other big name guys and were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain how my houses “California weave” and lack of proper flashing and underlayment was causing the leak. They did a fantastic job and were quick enough to beat the next storms last week. They even recommended a sheetrock guy to repair inside who also did a fantastic job. For anyone overwhelmed by the hardache and stress a leaky roof can be, don’t be.. these guys will take care of you and i would highly recommend them to any of my friends or family without hesitation.
