E & H Roofing was one of three highly rated companies on Angie’s list that I requested estimates from for replacing our roof. I chose E & H Roofing because I was impressed with Edgar’s punctuality, professionalism, knowledge about roofing, and excellent follow-through. The E & H Roofing estimate was also very competitive. I have several large trees next to the driveway and surrounding the roof and Edgar and his crew were careful not to damage the trees. The crew was efficient, hardworking and did a great job installing the shingles & ridge caps. The roofing materials used were Owens Corning True Definition Duration shingles with the “Decoridge” ridge cap. Our roof is small and was installed in one day! The roof looks beautiful! In addition to looking great I discovered that it functions well too because the next day (7/8/15) we had a very heavy rainfall between 0.5 to 1 inches in Boise. I am very happy with our new roof and definitely will recommend E & H Roofing to anyone who needs a new roof! - Susan Schneider

These guys are a joke and not professionals at all. They are in it for the money. There is no quality of workmanship. Or just being a man of their word. Let alone returning calls after the job had started. They are by no means certified and if they are it's a joke. Had a roof replaced 10/2016. They tried to cut corners and pull a fast one thinking I would not check their workmanship. Not to mention took three different attempts to try and make it right. Still was not right but every attempt to try and fix only made things worse and more stressful for me. Here is a list of things wrong: Old vent holes covered with thin sheet metal. Too long of nails used on ranch style home. The fix was grind the nails off and re-paint the soffit (eaves) half ass done. Not to mention damage to all my eaves from grinding and nails coming through. Also damage to the siding from their ladders when doing this. The valley was done with a cut style and is 3-5 inches from the actual valley and it's not even straight. 50 plus (too many to count) of exposed nails on top of roof. Attempted to hide them by putting silicone on them. Ridge vent was uneven, not nailed in some places. The cut in the ridge was 1/4 of inch to 2 plus inches. Later found out neither was right according to install instructions. Where my roof transition and needed flashing they cut the siding 4-5 inches above roof deck and it was so uneven and looked like a kid with no experience cut it. Bent the gutters and did a half ass job cleaning them out. Roof underlayment hanging out and not cut off. I have pictures of all if anyone is interested.

If you are looking for a roofing company with integrity, E & H Roofing is the one. They put a new roof on my home about 2.5 years ago. They did an excellent job then. Today with all the rain, we did have a small leak develop. Edgar came out within 30 minutes of my call, and found the problem. He gave me an excellent explanation of what needed to happen and promised the repair shortly. A crew came out the same day to repair the area of problem. Danny, the project leader, did a great job explaining what they would do. They were finished in a short amount of time . I was impressed with how clean they left the area, both times, once finished. Danny then showed photos of the work done and they emailed them to me too. So impressed with their professionalism and competence.

From the start I worked with Mandy and Edgar at E&H Roofing and they were professional, thorough, and customer service oriented. They arrived on time for the bid appointment, spent a good amount of time on my roof then printed a proposal on site that they reviewed with me before leaving. They addressed some concerns I had with a recent leak as well as answered questions about the current ventilation system in our roof (which I knew before the appointment needed to be updated.) I was left with a detailed bid, brochures on the types of materials they proposed to use and a very good impression of the company. The quoted price was almost exactly the same as another bid for the same work that I received so I felt they were competitive in the market. What sealed the deal for me is that I work nights and sleep during the day. Edgar and Mandy went out of their way to schedule the roofing job so that it wouldn't interfere with my work schedule and even when we had to postpone the job start date due to bad weather they brought over a large crew to make as much progress in one day as possible so the work wouldn't run longer than planned. On top of the schedule accommodations we initially planned to do the job in May, about 6 weeks after the initial bid but some new leaking occurred after an early April rain storm so they moved the job date up and started the very next week. From bid to completed roof was something like 2 weeks and there were no surprises in the final cost of the work. This is my second experience with a complete tear off and re-roof project and I was expecting my landscaping to be trampled and to be finding nails and roofing debris but the first thing the crew did when they arrived was lay tarps over areas where roofing materials might end up on the ground and at the end of the tear off process they cleaned up every scrap and nail including thoroughly checking and rechecking my driveway for stray nails. They brought a portable restroom for their crew and other than the beautiful new roof - left no trace of having been there. When payment was due Edgar explained each step of the job to my husband, reviewed our warranty and assured him that if we had future questions not to hesitate to call. I have been through multiple remodels, a demolition, and exterior home work with various contractors over the years and this was by far the best, least stressful experience from start to finish.

This is a dishonest company. Just prior to doing my re-roofing job I got a call from them saying they had made a mistake on their bid and was increasing the bid by $1187, more than 20% increase. They would not honor their original bid and would not negotiate a compromise. Bait and switch. Don't do business with them!

WoW! I just had my renters roof completely replaced by E & H Roofing, and I couldn't be more thrilled! The professionalism displayed by Edgar & Mandy and their entire crew is, by far, the best I have ever experienced. They kept all their appointments scheduled with me, were always on time, and outlined exactly what they would be doing over a four day period. Work was completed as promised, workmanship is excellent, and follow through outstanding. Obviously the guy who wrote such a nasty review of E & H Roofing is an idiot. He has an agenda, must be miserable and unable to conduct HIMSELF in a professional manner. With the reputation E & H Roofing has around the valley, I would not believe a word this guy says. HE obviously has issues, and I will hire E & H Roofing for ALL my roofing needs, and I recommend everyone else to do the same. THANK YOU E & H ROOFING!

In review... An E&H estimator returned my calls and showed up on time and prepared. A little back and forth to get the details worked out and we had our quote. It was summer but we only waited a week or two for the work to begin. The crew showed up with a debris trailer and a porta-potty. Each day they cleaned up and patrolled the perimeter with a large magnet to hunt for far flung nails. I've had many roofs installed and this was a pleasant and smooth experience all around. I plan to use E&H again on future projects. Edgar is my new roofer.

Edgar is kind and professional. This is not my account so he may be confused by the name but he will know who I am. A lot of contractors around here are building houses fast and looking towards building the next house and don’t want to follow up on warranties or just simply ignore you. E & H roofing does not do that. I had some concerns with some schingles lifting up on a roof they installed on my home. Without hesitation Edgar sent his crew out here and fixed the issues. They were very minor and understandable and he made it right. If you want a reliable contractor who’s going to build you a good roof and address any concerns you may have along the way contact e & h roofing. There are way too many shady contractors out here but I can say first hand e & h roofing has been the best experience of my home. Polite, professional, easy to contact. They will take care of you. E & H Roofing replaced our roof this fall due to hail damage. My wife and I were very impressed on how everything went and the care that they showed in our replacement. Our roof is fairly big, steep, and cut up. So I was happy to see that our yard was cleaned every night and any material on the roof was secure when the crew left. Especially for the fact that we have toddlers running around. We also had a record rainstorm this October for two days when the roof was torn off. We had ZERO leaks! So, so impressed with E & H Roofing's efficiency and customer first attitude from the start all the way through the completion of the project. We hired them to do a basic shingle overlay. I thought about doing it myself, but decided against it, and it was the right choice. E & H listened to us, they asked great questions and their recommendations made a lot of sense to us. Mandy and Edgar stood out to us as being very reasonable compared to two other highly rated local companies we were considering. One of them, which will remain nameless, sent a salesman who didn't care to listen to us and pushed his agenda while taking up an hour of our time, only to hit us with a haymaker figure that was WAY out of our budget. I've done enough handiwork to know when someone's trying to rip me off, and the red flags were flying. Nobody should have to sit through a long, drawn out sales pitch just get an estimate on a BASIC roof job. Good news is this: there's a roofer out there who actually cares about what makes sense for you, and if they can help you save some money, they'll do it without hesitation. Have used this Contractor for a couple of roof projects, commercial and private home. Always done very well, arrives when he says and completes on time. Cleans up, takes care of all little incidentals and has reasonable pricing for unforeseen items that are required. On last project for me he had to schedule a crew on Saturday and Sunday in order to get our house done while keeping up with other work previously on his schedule. Recommend without reservations.

E & H Roofing, LLC replaced two roofs for me on two of my rentals that had both hail and wind damage. I met with them over at the rentals (I have 5 of them and they checked all 5 roofs for me at no charge) and they were very honest and professional and told me that there was only hail damage on one and wind damage on the other one, but the other 3 roofs looked good except for some minor repairs. I'm a realtor at Remax Executives in Nampa, Idaho and I've been in the business for over 12 years and have dealt with many different roofers and I can honestly say that this company has been by far the most professional and friendly one I have ever worked with. They met with my insurance adjuster and walked the roof with them and helped do all the paperwork. The roof's were replaced within a few weeks and everything went very smooth and no headaches for me. As I mentioned before I have been a realtor for over 12 years and if I'm going to put my name on the line by referring someone they have to have proven their selves by doing an excellent job and being very professional and I can honestly say I would have absolutely no problem referring this company to my clients and friends. I actually just told them that they are going to be the # 1 referral for roofing companies on my database.
