Do you like calling customer service three or four times only to resolve an issue that a month ago they told you was resolved? Do you like attempting installation two times and having strangers in your home that they cannot trace or tell you who they were later? Do you like technicians putting you on hold only to accidentally hang up on you and never call you back after a 45 minute phone call? Do you like spending an hour and a half just to argue the new $20 charge on your bill? Or maybe spend two hours just to request the $50 credit they told her you had on the last two hour phone call ? Then century link is perfect for you. If you enjoy customer service fair billing communication easy to access troubleshooting or technical support, I advise you to seek Internet elsewhere

Customer Service is a joke. The actual internet you pay for is a joke. I can’t wait for one of these billionaires to come around and make internet freely available to all for a reacting of what these eye gouging companies charge for.

Customer service is atrocious. Reliability is bad. They've lied to me, lost my payments, hung up on me, cursed at me over the phone, and just generally made my entire experience with them super frustrating from the getgo. But, they know they're the only ISP in the area without data caps who can service the whole town, so they've pretty much got us by the balls. If society collapses, burn CenturyLink first.

If I could rate negative stars I would. CenturyLink is a dishonest company. Under no circumstances ever sign up for their service. IT IS NOT WORTH IT! I called to cancel my service and then 2 weeks later got a bill for another month of service. When I called back to correct the issue they said the note on the file said I would call back. That was after they used deceptive sales practices to cheat me out of $455. When deciding whether or not to go with CenturyLink, punch yourself in the face and then go with another company, you will have a better experience.

Yes everyone’s internet is down, so naturally most CenturyLink employees will be busy. However, this is not any different than when the internet is working and you need to get a hold of someone. Always dead-ends, transfers, or you do get hung-up on. As soon as it’s possible to actually talk to a person, I will cancel my internet. If you have better options, take it. I have had century link for almost 5 years, due to it being the cheapest option in Idaho Falls area, and I have almost never had a good experience.

I see a lot of negative reviews. When people are unhappy, they are far more likely to write a review. To be honest, I have not had problems with Century Link as of now. I guess that the future could bring something bad, but for now, if I respond honestly, I have not had major issues.

Slow speeds always. Internet connection spotty at best. I had called three time to get a repair agent to come fix a broken internet cable outside and all three times they came, charged me, and didn't fix the wire. Finally called again, disconnected service, and customer service told me that I was disconnected then billed me for an additional two billing cycles. I then called back and they won't drop one of the billing cycle fees even though I disconnected before the billing cycle began. Horrible service through and through.

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. After assurances by customer service that my Internet install would take place as scheduled, the technician just didn't show up. My phone number was on the work order, but no call. i was told that the new install date would be in 2 weeks. So because the tech did not show up, my order had to go to the back of the line. Unfortunately, CenturyLink is the only ISP in my area. This is what happens when there is no competition. I long for the day when I have options, so I can fire CenturyLink!

Get tired of paying 55 a month for no speed and a connection that goes out if I have my phone and playstation on the wifi. Don't even have to be using both devices. Just one other device connected to my wifi sends it out of wack to the point I disconnect everything and my playstation still can barely buffer anything. Pretty sad when you watch everything on low quality. Definitely will not use again. Soon as I can I'm disconnecting and changing providers.

Service is spotty. Response time? Horrid. When the service goes out and the "reset" doesn't work on your router, you call for repairs, right? Well, when you call CenturyLink and work your way through the menu, and finally arrive at the correct option, they just hang up on you. Sadly, they're STILL better than Cable One.

CenturyLike is the best for internet service. I left my old company due to their price gouging, and charging for services that were never received. CenturyLike like has awesome customer service and a price for an internet package with the price locked in for life. Have been through some pretty bad storms with no internet service loss or interruptions. I am very satisfied, and so far this company has stuck 100% to the agreement. Have highly recommended to all my friends and co-workers.

I give this company 1 star because I cant seem to enter anything less. Overcharged for 2 years, opened additional accounts instead of regrading, lied, were always late, wasted hours and hours of my time . I guess this is as good as it gets around here. I'd look for another provider right now if my intranet worked.

This is now Thursday and we have had a work order since Sunday to have our phone service repaired. In otherwords no phone. We live in an area with no cell phone service, there fore no way to call 911. My wife is a severe asthmatic and has gone into respiratory distress which required an emergency room visit via ambulance. We currently have no means of contacting 911. Centrylink doesn't care. We have no idea how long we will be without service and they will probably charge us for the time of no service.

Didn't order their service, had my dogs in the backyard while showering. Come out and see this guy just putting tools away. When I asked what he was doing he not only had the wrong house # he wasn't even on the right street. On top of that he had let my dogs out of the fence and I got to spend a 1/2 hour rounding them up. MORONS!

I honestly wouldn’t even give this company 1 star. For the last 7 months my account has been mixed up. For some reason they keep assigning me with different account numbers and now I can’t pay my bills online. Every time I have tried in the last 7 months it says declined due to risk management. I have called time and time again and it still has not been fixed. Every time I call to pay my bill they charge me a fee to have them take my payment!! I DO NOT recommend CenturyLink to anybody. There is so many different numbers to call for certain things and the representatives are Rude! I upgraded my internet for a faster speed and pay $25 more and I see no difference in speed at all! One time I called to pay my bill and they asked me to verify my account by telling them my past payments. Going off my bank statements I recited past payments..they told me that’s not what they have in the system!! HORRIBLE!! I will be cancelling services.

Update: tried charging me for services I never got because they messed up. Talked to two people who said I wouldnt and could charge it back. They never did talk to a man who says they actually cant and the system will zero it out, false, and was absolutely disrespectful to me. Talk to more people to find out only a supervisor can and they tried saying they would email them and I wasn't having it. Finally spoke to someone who took it off my account. I'm not dumb. You're trying to get money from me for "late charges". liars beyond belief who just want to steal your money. More to the story below. Stay as far away as possible if you can. I had disconnected services since my current place at the time needed a line drawn and it was winter. They never sent me a return label for the modem as they said they would. Find out you can do it online....months later. I called repeatedly for the label and they never mentioned getting it online but kept saying they would send it to me. Try to start services again on Monday. Took over an hour to do so because they couldn't find my simple address. Say services start Wednesday. Plug it in and nothing. Call and find out they opened a new account for phone and not internet. I literally spent an hour telling this woman I wanted internet and I already had the modem since they wouldn't send me the label to have it sent back. Decide I want to cancel at this point. Another 1 hour long call because they cant find me again somehow. Now I have to pay for the equipment because its 30 days past due and was told at the start I can bring it in person. All the addresses I found didnt show an actual store front. Call again to find out they dont take it in person. This company lies and breaks contract for the purpose of stealing your money. Called and told the woman I wasnt paying a late charge because they lied to me and she was basically like oh well, dont pay it then yet if I dont it goes to collections. Finally got some help from an understanding gentleman and send my equipment back. Dont trust this company. They lie and lie to you and mess up on everything. Not worth the time and cheaper costs because in the end you'll be paying more out of pocket for their stupididty.

If I could leave negative Stars, I would. They have tried to get me to pay twice for the same month, outages every other night, and when I try to get help I always hear that it's my modem and that I need to pay for a new one. This isn't hard. I pay y'all, you provide the internet. The internet has been going out constantly as of late. Y'all are just a bunch of crooks. Taking the $ of your customers and then having constant outages so we get nothing but excuses. You should be ashamed CenturyLink
