I had researched for a fence company adding both quality and a fair price. I was having a hard time with other companies until I heard their radio ad on KTIK. I decided to contact them. Keith, one of their sales guys came right out. He was timely, socialable, knowledgeable and honest. He discussed all my options and gave me a timeline. We decided to hire them. We chose the vinyl. He gave us a timeframe and discussed each of the steps. We were counting on a week and to our pleasant surprise, it was done in 4 days, counting the time the cement for the posts had to cure. The material is quality and the install workmanship was outstanding. Keith was good to communicate with us. The invoice came in right to the penny they quoted us. We highly recommend Boise River Fence !!!

Everything was great at the beginning until the last part of the fence install (The gate) when one of the fence workers hit a pvc irrigation pipe and tried to put a bandaid on it by wrapping the hole with electrical tape, meanwhile the tape came off and a steady stream of water was spewing over to the neighbors yard. I wrote to the supervisor who was in charge of the project who said he would forward my email and photos to the owner. I never heard back. In the meantime I had it fixed.

No Way! I called Boise River Fence on Monday morning at 9am. I was directed to a receptionist via automated system. I asked for a residential sales rep. They forwarded me to Keith. Keith didn't answer so I left a message. Then I waited. I called back that afternoon around 3, I told the receptionist that Keith didn't call me back... so she forwarded me to his phone again. Voicemail. I never got a call back on Monday. Tuesday I called and asked for someone besides Keith, I was forwarded to a very nice gal named Cindy. She told me that the lack of response was unacceptable for their company. She told me they had eight sales representatives. I told her I wanted a bid and was not in a huge hurry, but did want someone to return my call. Even if they were calling to tell me they were busy and would get back to me, just some acknowledgment. I then suggested that I work with someone besides Keith to get a fresh start, she agreed. Then she told me that I would get a call back by end of day. I did... it was Keith. He proceeded with the bid, it was $3700 to build and install 30' of 3' tall black powder coated fence with two gates. He didn't even come to the site to look at the job. Just threw out a really high price and put at the bottom of bid a statement that said the price is subject to change. Very unprofessional in my opinion, and that is my only opinion in this review. The rest is fact.

Boise River Fence installed our back yard fence about 5 years ago. They did a fantastic job and it looked great. I give 2 stars for follow up and customer service for the following reason..... We installed a pool over the summer 2014. I have called BRF over 2 months ago to fix our fence where we had to remove it for the pool install. They kept telling me they'd fix it. Never saw anyone come out to our house, never heard back from them after multiple calls to their offices. Today called to see what's up. They said they are too busy to take care of a good customer, one that had them install a fence enclosing over a 1/3 of an acre. They told us to call someone else. Poor, poor, poor customer service. Why would I ever want to use them again knowing they will install but not repair? I encourage anyone thinking of using BRF to reconsider based on my experience and go with another company, one that cares about their customers.

I have not personally had them work for me but my neighbor has them doing a project now. They drove a heavy duty truck and trailer across the corner of my lawn. When I approached the driver he was rude and belligerent. When I told him he does not have permission to use my property to access the work site for the next day he was also rude and told me to take it up with his boss Mark claiming he 'got permission'. I plan to. I'm not sure who he thinks he got permission from since I am the homeowner. I will certainly not patronize them in the future. Very unprofessional.

BRF installed my fence two years prior and out of the four companies I called to get a bid, they were not only the fastest in response to my inquiry, but also the fastest in ability to get it fixed and least expensive. For starters I can say everyone I dealt with was very nice. Now if you want something out of their normal everyday production I would be hesitant. I sent them a detailed drawing of a gate I wanted built and was told they could not do it. I was open to building it the way they normally do, the problem was when they came out to install it. The way it was built the gate would only be able to swing in if it was to be flush with the fence. For it to swing out it would protrude from face of the posts by approximately 4". I showed my original drawing to the installer and he said they could have built it no problem. They took the gate back to the shop and modified it almost to my original design (FOR AN ADDITIONAL COST). It could now be installed so that the gates would swing out, not interfere with the trailer to be parked behind the gate if it was to swing in, and be flush with the posts. The vinyl they used on the gates looks like it had been sliding around in the truck for a few weeks, it's all scratched up and looks like it was recycled from another project. One of the gate posts was short and an extension piece needed to be welded to the top which is clearly visible, once the weather warms up I will need to fill the low spots near the weld, sand and repaint the post. In the end depending upon the project I would consider using them for basic fencing, if it is out of their everyday scope I would more than likely look elsewhere unless they really convinced me they could perform the work as designed and with a higher quality of workmanship.

Go to Meridian Fence or Frontier Fence. That's literally what Anthony told me to do for a simple residential project. My experience here was unhelpful and strange. Boise River Fence put in our iron fence and small entry gate years ago. Our gate rusted, broke, and is now unusable. I contacted BRF to ask about either gate repair or even simply replacing the gate entirely, and I was clear I expected to pay (I recognize it's been years and these things happen). I had to call several times. When Anthony got back to me, I was simply told that they do not repair their fences beyond warranty period, and that they could not help me -- not even with a new gate installation. Honestly, it actually felt Anthony was disinterested in my business. Apparently they're not in the business anymore of installing residential iron gates. I was literally told to take my business elsewhere.

We just got a dog and wanted a fence that matched the Highlands area of North Boise. Wrought iron is the only way to go up here. We like the distinctive style and long lastingness. No maintenance either. Classy look. We looked around and they had done most of our neighbors work and Crane Creek Country club , so these guys know the territory. Lacie was the foreman on the job and Mark and the rest of the project leaders took time to listen and follow through. We got the fence we wanted on time and it happened much faster then we anticipated. We wanted to change a panel or two and add a gate once it was up and they handled it with no sweat or hassle. I like that . They are high volume and growing and its important to me to have someone to call if I ever have an issue or want to make a change. They will be there. I guess they treat the iron themselves, so no middlemen is great. They need to be on your call list IMHO.

They actually showed up when they said they would and took the time to get my order right. Then the crew arrived quickly to get the posts set. Then they remeasured twice again. The panels we constructed in their own metal shop to my custom specifications. The fence was then finished off by the same crew. Beautiful results!

This company is responsible for doing the fence on Cloverdale during the road construction. They left a note on our door letting us know they were going to work on my section of fence the next day or the following day and wanted us to call them and let them know which day would work for us to keep our dogs inside while they worked. We called and let them know we could do the next day. They said they would keep in touch if anything changed. Never heard from them again. Not once. Day came and went, no work was done on the entire street. Following day, still no work. Following day, same thing again. Now my dogs have been inside all day 3 days in a row. Two and a half weeks before they finally started on it...two and a half weeks! And then they only did half of the fence and didn't finish the other half for another 2 days. There had been a temporary fence put up farther inside the yard while the permanent fence was removed for construction. Part of it is still up because there are gaps under the fence where the dogs can still get out. The part that was on the back side of my shed has been removed (without letting me know) and there is a giant hole under that side of the fence where I was just informed by a stranger that my dogs had gotten out of. My dog was found down the street just wandering around. This is the worst run company I've ever had the displeasure to have to deal with. And unfortunately I don't get the choice to FIRE them because the city is paying for the work. Now my dogs get to live in their kennels while I’m at work until who knows when they decide to do the bricks that go between the fence and sidewalk.

Poor workmanship. They put a very big hole in our main 1” sprinkler line while replacing fence post. Pretty obvious they knew they did it but instead of an easy fix they just poured concrete around and buried it. Now I have to dig the whole area up and replace a much larger section. What a waste of time. I won’t be calling them back.

My experience with Boise River Fence has been pretty good. I think there could be better communication between the guys working directly with the customer and the guys working the job. The entire job I never knew when things were going to be done until it was already done or they showed up knocking on my floor to do the job right then. Initially, the posts were set wrong so I had to have them redo the posts. Then for the final install, the gate was still installed in the wrong location as discussed. But I was satisfied with the end result regardless so I'm still rating them 4 due to their professionalism and quality. I would definitely refer them to friends and family because they are responsive and professional. I love love love the end result.

Paul from BRF was very responsive to my needs regarding my fence project. The price beat one of their competitors by several hundred dollars. The only real problem I had was having to repair my irrigation system myself which, although it is stated in the fine print at the bottom of the contract that BRF does not do, came as a surprise when the crew augered through the pipes in six places. I was compensated for the cost and more; however, I would recommend that BRF make this fact more obvious to unsuspecting customers like me with apparent reading problems (perhaps bold type).

Paul is great to work with. We ordered a second fence for the back after the front was finished. There was a problem with the back fence after installation. Paul came out personally to inspect it. Instead of a repair, he replaced the fence and fixed the problem. This kind of service is hard to find. We will definitely hire them again.

I would recommend Anthony Price - Boise River Fence for any of your fencing needs. He does all fencing types, reasonably prices and excellent service. The same week I contacted him; he was out to explain the process and services, we walked the property and discussed plans. The next day I had quote in hand. He is honest, respectful and stays on top of the job, Communications were replied to within the same day or next. His crew was amazing and very detail oriented. They were efficient, great communications and were very respectful. I was truly amazed at how fast the fence went up! I was extremely pleased with the professionalism of Anthony, his installers, his scheduler and financing and would not hesitate to recommend them. A very pleased customer who doesn't please easily!
