Only good things to say about working with Design Trends Construction. Thank you!

My old kitchen is nothing but a distant nightmare, now that DTC has finished my kitchen and bath remodel. My new kitchen and bath are wonderful! Brenton was the only designer who was willing to work with me up front and figure out how to get an island in my kitchen. The project was not without some issues, as with most if not all remodels, but the DTC team provided viable solutions and resolved the problems conscientiously and creatively.

I am nothing but thrilled every day with my entryway, kitchen, and bath remodel. Every other contractor said "too customized and complex." DTC said "Can do" and did, more than I ever envisioned. Their suggestions from the first visit blew me away. Every industry supplier I spoke to praised DTC, as well-- that is major. Total professionals. They communicated with me all through the process from the first appointment set up to the end of the job.

Great people, great business!

I couldn't be happier with the services of Design Trends Construction. We did a pretty big remodel of our kitchen and bathrooms, and it turned out great! We had some trouble with the flooring product that was used, and Brenton and team made it right, even though a significant amount of time had passed since the job was finished. I think most contractors would have tried to avoid responsibility for the situation and tried to get us to work directly with the vendor of the flooring. But in our case, the DTC team handled it all with no cost or effort for us. It means a lot to me that DTC stands by their work. I feel they are very trustworthy and do what's fair even when it might not be a cheap or easy fix. I strongly recommend DTC.

I am starting my 3rd phase of renovation with Design Trends Construction. Eleven years ago (phase 1), they built a kitchen that is a beautiful today as it was the day it was installed. Why do I keep going back to DTC? 1. The people-Greg and his son Brenton really listen to what you want. I trust them. The people in their crew were respectful of my home and time. I never had a concern about leaving them alone in the house. They came when they promised, knew what they were doing, and left the place clean at the end of the day. 2. No problem- Brenton has clearly inherited Greg’s honesty, ethics, and ability to look at architectural/structural quirks and instantly come up with solutions. My kitchen is about 8.5 x 11 feet with a 4x12 beam and a window over the sink. No problem! Box the beam in, face it with veneer to match the cabinets, add a few lights and you’ve got soffit lighting and a seamless look. Another one over the refrigerator, perpendicular to the 1st? Build deep cabinets on both sides of the beam! 3. No mess-On installation day the truck pulled in and offloaded the cabinets in the garage. The crew tore out the old kitchen, threw the scrap into the truck, and drove it away. This job was small enough not to need a dumpster. So efficient! 4. The cabinets- DTC builds cabinets like no one else on island. The base cabinet boxes are flat on the bottom, no toe kick. After cleaning the space, they create a 2x4 frame on the floor where the cabinets will be installed. They make sure the frame is level, fix it to the floor, and place the cabinet boxes on the frame. This protects the boxes from swelling if there’s a water leak on the floor and makes it easy to install level countertops. Finally, they cover the framing to match the kitchen. 5. Customized- I wanted my cabinets to be beautiful on the inside too. No white lined boxes. I still love to open them and see the wood finish. The frameless custom corner cabinets hold so much, and I have complete access to everything. Having choices of different hardware for hinges and drawers kept me within budget. 6. General contractor- No need to coordinate multiple vendors. They do it all. How could I even think about using anyone else when I could welcome these old friends back into my home with complete confidence that everything will be done beautifully and done right!

We've had Design Trends Constuction (DTC) do several jobs at our home. We first contacted Greg and Brenton Liu to submit an estimate for a complete demolish and renovation of our kitchen. We received 5 bids. DTC was not the lowest nor the highest bid, but we thought they had innovative ideas and we were comfortable working out plans with them. The work they did was exceptional. Their employees were friendly, courteous, and respectful. They always left the work site clean every day. DTC made excellent suggestions to save us money on materials and fixtures. Their customer service is the best. We've found that DTC will do the job to the complete satisfaction of the customer. The end result is a beautiful kitchen that everyone who visits makes positive comments about the renovation. Since then, we've had DTC work on two of our bathrooms and we will use them again for future home projects.

Very disappointed with Design Trends Construction. An appointment for an estimate was scheduled two weeks in advance. Cleared my schedule for that day and I get a call that morning from the estimator saying he could not make the appointment. Rescheduled for the following week and after 2 months not even a phone call or email to let me know about my estimate. Hope other people had a better experience than me.

I had Design Trends Hawaii do a major renovation of my town house. Their quality of workmanship was excellent, and if there was something that was not up to my standards they fixed it right away. At one point in the construction I had family coming into town and they reorganized the project phasing to make the residence more livable.
