I had a problem with my heater not working and Fredrick & son made a ernest effort to fit me into the work day last minute , It was cold and calling to get colder & snow over the next couple days , the tech came out and diagnosed the possible problem ,ordered the parts and returned a couple days later once the special order parts arrived and he installed the necessary part and things have been working fine ever since . It was nice to hear " we can fix this " ... AND NOT " your going to need a new heater " ........ would recommend to anyone --- yes

The beginning of Summer woke up and had no AC. Have 94 year old Grandmother living with us. Called 4 "24 Hour Service" companies. 2 left message no answer never heard back, 1 called back next day and Joseph Fredrick & Sons I left message and had a return call in under 10 minutes and Tech was at house in about an hour. He was able to fix problem unit was frozen up. Had to let unit sit to defrost told me to turn back on when defrosted and if any problem call him back. Was very impressed when I got a follow up call from him latter that day to make sure unit was back on and running OK. A lot less then I expected to pay for a Service call on weekend and Tech was top notch. Last Night had no hot water went to water heater and it was leaking on floor. Call Joseph Fredrick & Sons 7:30 in am spoke to very nice lady that said she would put me on the schedule for today but not sure when they would be able to get out due to call volume and they would call when on their way. Got a call at 9am saying someone was on their way was there a few minutes latter. He wrote up an estimate for new water heater and install and started job immediately. Excellent Customer Service and Workmanship will never use any one but Joseph Fredrick & Sons in the future. Great service for a very reasonable price.

I had sparks coming out of a light switch panel, so I called and found out that their electrician was on an all day job. Their electrician, Steve, came out to my house after his work was over for the day, replaced the broken component causing the sparks, and got all of the lights in working order. He was at my house late, missing time with his own family. I've always had great service with Joseph Frederick and Sons.

I called Jos. Fredrick & Sons for an emergency electrical problem on a Friday evening. Steven O. returned the "on call" message and was polite when I spoke to him on the phone. He was upfront with pricing and made sure I was clear about how the emergency service call would work. He arrived within 30 - 40 minutes from the time I spoke to him on the phone. He was able to find and fix the issue without it going to a "next level" service call where he would have had to run test to find the issue, which would have cost more money. Steven was professional, polite, keep me informed and fixed my problem! Thanks Steven for a job well done!

DO NOT USE. RATES ARE COMPLETELY UNREASONABLE. CHARGED $600 TO SWEAT 6 INCHES OF COPPER AND REFILL THE LINES WITH WATER. NOT EVEN 3 HOURS OF WORK. THAN ADDED $79 FOR A DISPATCH FEE. THE TECH DIDNT EVEN SWEAT THE COPPER RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. TOOK ADVANTAGE OF MY HONESTY THAT OTHER HEATING COMPANIES TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR THE BASEBOARD COPPER PIPE. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN.

Our heater wasn't working Wednesday night. I had called 3 other "24-hour" service places. The earliest they could come out (if I talked to anyone) was the next day after noon. I called Joseph Frederick and Sons, spoke to an operator who took my info and I received a call from the technician on call, Aaron, within 20 minutes. While on the phone he walked me through some troubleshooting and sure enough, it was a just a switch on the furnace that needed to be turned back on. Aaron took the time on the phone and saved us the huge expense of an emergency visit just to flick a switch - and as a bonus, he was very kind and pleasant! We have had a service contract with another company in the recent past; however, we will not be going back to them. We will be using Joseph Frederick & Sons from now on! Thank you for the great service, Aaron!

Tim, from Joseph Frederick & Sons, and his partner, Dan, where courteous and great listeners. They quickly got to the root of my problem and solved it within a few minutes. Sadly, there was water damage, but they set my mind at ease by providing a referral to a company that will mitigate the damages while working with my insurance company. Dan took it upon himself to make the referral and I had the next step to solving my longer term issues scheduled before he left. PS They remembered to put on their booties - which is helpful given the dirt and pollen outside at this time of year.

Excellent experience. First Bobby came to service my furnace. He was friendly and courteous. Given the age of my furnace, we discussed installing a new one. No pressure. After poor experiences with Horizon I took the suggestion of Nextdoor reviews and went with J Frederick and Sons for an Hvac issue. I have now used them for 3 separate repairs/maintenance in my home including Heat, AC and Plumbing. All have been speedy, extremely reasonably priced and accompanied by polite knowledgeable service providers - Sean (HVAC) & Justin (plumbing). I am usually a do-it-yourselfer and hate spending money on repairs (especially when I am getting ripped off) but the service and bang for your buck with these guys is undeniable.

My 15-year-old AC began to fail just before the beginning of a predicted long and severe heat wave. After doing some quick but extensive research into repair vs. replace, and into the various makes, models, and installers, I decided ultimately to purchase a new Carrier AC from Jos. Frederick & Sons. My decision was based in large part on my having had the pleasure to work with Mr. Bud Thompson, who I found to be very professional, knowledgeable, and forthright. I felt that he was truly advising me rather than just trying to sell to me. The AC was installed in just a couple of days and it has performed flawlessly since. Thank you Bud, for all your advice and help, and thank you Jeff and Rudy for doing such a great job on the installation!

They are just the best. Why? First their prices for skilled labor are absolutely fair and the time estimates reliable. No surprises. They don’t jack up the prices when your sweltering or freezing and everybody else’s units are breaking down too. Second, they are honest and stand behind what they sell. My unit 9 years old and needed a fancy new DC variable speed blower motor, read expensive almost $1000 just for the part. It was even my own darn fault for not changing filters often enough. One call and all taken care of under warranty, when another company was quoting me over $2500 to replace motor and Fredrick charged me just $571 for the labor part, which was out of warranty. A 5-10 year warranty that I had forgotten about. So the other company was quoting me double on a fair price for parts and labor if out of warranty! So yes, Fredrick is honest. I don’t know why I didn’t call them first. You think it’s because they don’t spend a fortune on advertising, so they don’t have to charge twice the fair price? Thank God I had that, I rarely buy warranties, but expensive high tech units I used for the top floor of my house I did. Gas furnace and single speed AC for main house, heat pump with variable speed motor for top floor since air handler in attic space. That unit you can set not only temperature, but humidity too. This is great because humidity wicks through your whole house fast. Controlling humidity makes for greater comfort for less energy. That’s why some AC’s can make you feel cold and clammy, you dropped the temperature, but still have too much humidity. Instead, the unit will run at an optimum rate to drop the humidity without over cooling. Like a giant dehumidifier, you are more comfortable at a higher temperature. Third, they know what they are doing and are at the top of their game. This is so important and getting harder to find in businesses. The system they sold me 9 years ago is still tops for efficiency and high tech features. If I replaced it today, the latest and greatest wouldn’t buy me much extra efficiency. The units, most advanced at the time, have stayed up to date. I can run the bedrooms and shut down the lower part of house at night saving me huge in energy cost. We spent extra money for these features, but we spent it where is counted and made economic sense as well as high performance. Very pleased with the system they put together for me. I’m an engineer, so I know what I’m doing too. Forth, they are all very nice people! From the phone to the service techs, they are warm, friendly, cooperative, skilled and willing to work with you. You can tell your dealing with a family owned business that has happy employees.
