I would highly recommend HomeStar Remodeling for your roofing needs. They did an excellent job installing my new roof, sky light, and they did it for a fair price. I initially wasn't looking to have my roof done this early but after sitting through their consultation , these guys know their stuff and I decided to pull the trigger early. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of and they were able to answer all the questions I had, in depth. Everything from prep, to install, to clean up was finished in a timely manner. The installers were right on time for both days of the installation. The installation took two days, on the first day they worked until the sun went down, which was about after 13 hours of work and came back on the second to finish. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure to get the nails and debris off our lawn. Rodolfo who was the project manager has been great and very detail oriented. We would definitely recommend HomeStar to anyone looking to get a roof.

Overpriced with pushy sales people. They require spouses to be at home when making the sales call. This will be an automatic red flag for me from now on. A "kid" with minimal experience will provide a quote on the spot with a standard work sheet. They will push for a commitment for as long as they can. Our roofing estimate was twice the price of competitors for the same products. We had them replace our gutters to "lock in" the roofing estimate. Huge mistake. Way overpaid. Live and learn I guess.

Don't use this company. Bait and switch. Used them for our windows. Sales person came and promised, different colors/and payment would be upon us being "100%satisfied" with finish d product. Asked them specifically when final payment would be. "When you are happy with our work" Guys we're putting in our last window, and the foreman came up to me and asked for the check. Point 1. They only had 2 colors, white and grain. (Guy showed us a ring of about 10 colors) Point 2. The selling point was we could pay, when we were satisfied, meaning specifically, we could see how the windows were after a couple of weeks. 2nd occurrence, now is we called them to get an estimate on a door for our second house. Made the appt. called the night before, to confirm. They called at our appt time the next day, and informed us they do not come out for 1 door. 2, they do not do rental properties. ??? WTF! No one said it is a rental property.(single family home) 2. Never was told that that was their policy, not to come out for 1 door. 3. Had to wait 2 weeks for this appt, and even calling the night before to confirm appt! Called and complained, to a rep. But no call from any owner or mngt. Positive: the window products are good. But their sales tactics, are horrible. HORRIBLE!

When they knocked on my door I was very skeptical, I usually don't respond to people selling door to door because we've had issues in the past but the salesman was honest and kind. Their prices are super competitive and their service and end product is impressive (I bought a front door). I would definitely recommend this company.

A young man knocked on my door offering me a free estimate on my windows. Keep in mind I did not seek HomeStar when you read the rest of this review. He scheduled an appointment with a sales guy for a few days later. The salesman was very knowledgeable, and made an excellent presentation. The product appeared to be high quality. Here is where as a fellow salesman things went off the rails for me. He showed me a very high price as my guaranteed for one year price they advertise. Ok I get it. They have to cover themselves. Then he offers me a 40% discount and I only get 3 minutes to decide while he puts his stuff in the car. If I do not schedule an installation with him before he leaves, I pay 40% more because his boss says they need to be efficient, and he is being no nonsense. It could cost them a sale by seeing me twice so they offer this big discount. No pressure though. Windows are not a small investment. If you are everything you seem to be HomeStar, then your real price will stand on it’s own. No need to coerce a sale. If you are going to charge me punitively now, why would I call you? Your salesperson guaranteed me I will never get the same price from HomeStar again.

Our experience with HomeStar Remodeling has been pretty good. This is the second project we have had done by Ross and Steve, and we are just as impressed this time as we were last. My wife feels comfortable leaving the home with them here and knowing nothing bad is going to happen. We were also impressed that the project (replacement of 8 windows) was done so quickly in terms of contract initiation to completion of install. The originally estimated date of install was 6-8 weeks after contract initiation, but per our request (due to scheduling conflicts) they were able to complete the job just 3 weeks after signing. We were very appreciative that they were able to expedite the order due to time constraints and work on our time line. For both jobs (first project was replacement of 4 windows last spring), they always went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with the final product. The only part I felt could be improved is the lack of communication between when we reached out to the company and when we actually got someone out to start the process. However, once the contract was initiated, the job was done amazingly fast and with our timeline in mind. I would recommend this company to others, as I plan to use them again in the future to complete the window replacement on my house, and perhaps even other services in the future.

Wild experience! I called to get an estimate on 8 windows. The salesperson asked if I was available a few hours from when we talked and I was. He then asked if my wife would be home with me. I told him that she was not and worked late. He said they can come out on Saturdays to which I replied that I’d prefer to keep the time in a few hours. I got a call about 15 minutes later from a woman confirming the appointment. She asked if my wife would be at the appointment. I again told her no. She asked what my credit score was. I told her that I’d be paying cash. She then insisted that my wife be home for the estimate and asked IF I were to finance, what my score would be. I told her to cancel all appointments. What a terrible way to start a business relationship. To add to the hilarity of this company. I just received a phone call to “schedule that free estimate”. I informed them that if they continue to call me that I would issue one star reviews. Also, check out the Yelp reviews on this company. I think they tell the real truth!

Overall the process was excellent. Everyone in the company was nice and professional throughout. The installers were very hard workers, they didn't even take a break. They were professional throughout the whole installation, except for the hammering you would have never known they were even here, which was great. The installation of our roof took 2 days and the installers cleaned up after themselves after the job was completed. We are very pleased with our new roof. We will definitely be recommending them to friends and family.

These guys really know how to do it right. When Chris first knocked on my door i was skeptical because i usually don't answer the door for solicitors. However he was so professional and really showed me how HomeStar could help out my roof. I had already gotten estimates from Power and PJ Fitzpatrick and was aware of roofing pricing. Wow was i impressed by HomeStar, these guys are quality all around from the GAF product to the material. My estimator made me and my wife comfortable with everything and we ended up going with the company. The roof was installed quickly and professionally with no hiccups. Communication was great and gotta give a big shoutout to Justin who addressed all of our concerns and was also loved by my dog Biscuit. A few months ago a handsome young man named Eric approached my home, and informed me his company was doing a roof installation down the street. I've lived in my home for over 20 years and never once though about doing my roof, but he was very informative and knowledgeable and really worked with me through the process. Me and my husband's schedules are tough we both work opposites and Eric took the time to find a way that would work for both of us.anyway 6 months later and I'm writing this under the comfort of my new ROOF! The installatioon was great the company does no subcontracting so the guys were professional AND CLEAN. We had the kitchen done a few years ago and I won't drop any names but it was the worst experience of my life. Homestar was friendly and helpful the whole way through they even called to check up on us after the job was done I've never met a sweeter group of guys. Since I've done the roof I've noticed my energy bills gone down as well I guess thats a bonus huh :). I'd recommend this company to any and ALL of my friends you will not find work of this quality for a better price

The install was good, they did mostly everything that was promised; we were under the impression we would be getting new trim but since it wasn't rotten we did not. The installation went quickly and the clean up was good. There was no broken glass, and they made sure to vacuum all of the carpets. The few mistakes I did catch before the installers left, were fixed right away with no problem.

Horrible company as far as honesty, integrity, being transparent with employees. I left a job to start there as an in home consultant. On the first day I find out I have to get in a van, work 3 hours longer per day, get dropped off in random neighborhoods and go door to door ringing doorbells trying to sell cheap, short shelf life vinyl (aka plastic) windows . I do not recommend anyone works there without asking about this. Also the office is not in king of Prussia like it was advertised. It’s 20 mins further away on route 76, which is horribly filled with traffic. A bunch of young 20s guys in the office talking inappropriately.the owners, 3 of them ,aren’t even 30 so it’s hard to believe they have enough experience. Andersen windows have great composite windows that have never failed, deteriorated since 1978 and have been in business since 1903. I would highly recommend Andersen over Homestar every time.

There is nothing bad I can say about the job that HomeStar Remodeling did. The installers came out on a Saturday and were here by 8 AM to start the work. They were gone and done everything by 12:30. They did everything in their power to stay out of my way during the day and cleaned up after themselves. They actually informed me of some rotten wood I have on my upstairs deck, so that it would not continue to rot without me knowing. They were great with explaining everything they were doing and let me asked any and all the questions I had, without seeming annoyed. I have already started recommending them to friends and family.

Initially were pricing windows but we were persuaded into upgrading our old, energy-inefficient glass sliding door (which frustratingly opened left to right). The installation was completed in one day. The contractors were polite and arrived on-time and didn't make a mess. The end result was exactly as described. I was very impressed with the initial consultation process...the representative walked the gutters, roof and siding and honestly appraised each. I knew the gutters needed replacing (badly!), and was told that both the roof and siding were in great shape. We set a date and the worker's came on time, were prepared, work quickly and efficiently, then walked the property with me to answer any questions. Two young men came to my door (in the pouring rain) and as I limped to the door ( I just had surgery on my knee) I informed then that I would like a business card and I would get in touch with them. The main salesman (the pushy one) kept pushing that they would only be a minute and so then 20 minutes later, I told them I had to start dinner and needed to wrap this up. I agreed to the "free estimate" and then had to wait another bit of time for the young lady he called to make my appointment. WHY DO YOU NEED TO KNOW IF I HAVE A SPOUSE???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????? The whole time, the two young men are looking around at my place. Made my mother and I feel REALLY uncomfortable. NO THANK YOU..... CREEPY BUSINESS TACTICS ..... PUSHY AND RUDE.

The communication with HomeStar was great! The company made sure that we had regular contact and were aware about where our project was within the process. When an opening came up earlier than the original install date, they gave us a call right away to see if we could do that date. Once the install was scheduled and started the timing was extremely fast, it only took about 5 hours!! We were extremely impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the company. We have dealt with companies who have not had great communication with us and we greatly appreciated that. We have already noticed a difference with the heat that comes through the windows and cannot wait to see how well they work in the winter.

Home sick and needing to work in the evening I hear loud knocking on my door. I get to the door to see two solicitors walking in my neighborhood. As they are leaving my street l stop them asking them if they have a solicitation license (which only one seems to be displaying). I asked them who they worked for then asked if they could read, yes they say while standing next to my mailbox with two "NO SOLICITING" signs.. They said they didn't see it until leaving after waking me...I guess they didn't see the other "NO SOLICITING" sign on the front door they banged on either! When this is posted its against the law! Probably shouldn't buy services from unprofessional people who can't read!

The installations and quality of work were great! We had three installations done by HomeStar; our roof, skylight and windows. The communication could be improved from the management end of thing. Our pre installment inspection was supposed to be a specific day and time and they did not show up and we received a call a few hours after the project manager was supposed to arrive. The roofing crew did not finish in one day and did not come back the next day, which we were under the impression that they would be. They skipped a day in the installation and showed up at about 3 PM on a Saturday to finish the job. Our skylight installation took place at about 5:15 in the evening which we were under the impression it would be earlier in the day . The window installation was great . The main room for improvement for HomeStar we would say would be to get better on the communication end when we the timing of the project changes. The installation crews did a great job at cleaning up and getting the jobs done. Overall we would say our experience with HomeStar was good.

Were looking to replace our roof. Had a door to door salesperson come by who was polite and not pushy though we knew we wanted an estimate before he came. The estimate took about an hour and the salesperson explained the options well. Estimate was significantly less than bid from a competitor and included attic insulation which wasn't in the competitor's bid so we agreed to let them replace the roof. Work was scheduled promptly and the crew showed up early on the day of installation. Crew worked hard and efficiently and completed the job in one day, including cleaning up the yard after the work. Reasonable care was taken to protect foundation plantings.

I decided to do the project with HomeStar because Kyle, my sales rep, told me that they will take care of everything from start to finish. While this was true and HomeStar took care of pretty much everything, they did not put my blinds back up, which I was under the impression they would. Also, there was a bit of miss communication with the first installer who did not feel confident is doing the work. The second set of installers did all the work with great work ethic. The installation did take a little bit longer than I had expected. There were a few caulking issues, which will be fixed in a timely manor. After agreeing with replacing our windows, we worked with Alexis with scheduling the replacement. She was great and accommodating. They had to come out a second day since one of the windows was damaged when they received it. I find it interesting that I'm reading a ton of review written by employees of the company... That's a little shady. I started reading the reviews because of the experience a co-worker of mine had, where he was offered a discount for writing 5 different reviews on here. 5! Funny enough, he said that they took great pride in their 4.6 stars out of 5 for their reviews. I also noticed that they have a 2.5 star rating on Yelp which means those are honest reviews. Be careful what you sign up for. Read the fine print people. That sounds like a dishonest company to me.

Homestar did a great job with our new roof. The crew was very efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and took care to be aware of our property and not cause any damage from falling debris. Our only concern was the large waste container that was outside of our home for a few days. There was a series of bad weather days which postponed our installation. Luckily we live on a wide street so it didn't cause too much trouble but something to think about moving forward. Perhaps the container could be delivered once work begins so to avoid it being outside the home for song long. In the end we would absolutely recommend the service and company to anyone moving foward.

Door to door salespeople need turn it down a notch. Let one come by about 6 months ago to give us an estimate. Took their business card because it just wasn't in the cards right now. Now, less than a year later, they're making more rounds. Gave this pair the quick story and yet he just keeps pushing. I have no problem saying "no" 20 times in a single conversation. I know however, my wife typically is not and can made very uncomfortable by this. Needless to say...Just ripped up the contact info I'd previously saved. Not a fan of this kind of business practice and would rather reach out to their direct competitors who aren't shoving themselves down my throat. If somehow I change my mind, I'm sure I'll see the next group of them 6 months from now anyways.

I had new windows installed in February and was concerned about the weather. They assured me two installers would remove and install each window separately, so I would not be uncomfortable. Although it was the coldest week of the winter, they were true to their word. The job progressed smoothly and efficiently. They cleaned up after themselves daily and, at the end, removed the stickers and cleaned the windows. I got a call each day to make sure I was happy with the work. The Windows have performed as promised. When one developed a crack, I called the office. Mandy had a new one ordered, called to schedule an installation, and Justin was there when promised. When I have a need for another project, there's no doubt who I will call. It's the best home remodel experience I have had in 45 years of home ownership.

If I could rate 4 1/2 that would be my rating. The guys you have to get are Steve and Ross. They are the A+ team. You can tell guys are great at what they do, when they can talk to you and you become more knowledgeable about something you don't know. The crew will replace wood trim that is rotten (Big Win, most will charge extra upon seeing that), they even painted the trim inside the house window with no extra charge after one of the representatives said they couldn't do it (BIG WIN, nobody else does this...very big, even though it seems small) Ross knows what he is talking about..... The only knock on them is the scheduling, it's not because of lack of organization, but I think because they are looking for more guys like Ross and Steve, they just fall behind because they do the job right. Justin and Mandee did a good job with calling and letting us know about not meeting the scheduled time, so I would not be waiting in the house not knowing what is going on... In addition, with a lifetime guarantee on the windows, that means a lot. Now going back nearly 2 months, when my wife and I initially accepted HomeStar's offer, we had two guys name Brandon (Owner) and Brian, they helped me move in items from my van after the 1 hour presentation. To me, that shows the willingness to go the extra mile. (Mind you, regardless if we made the decision or not to go with HomeStar, they would have helped.) Lastly, was HomeStar's way of looking you into your eyes to show fidelity and trustworthiness. You might think initially that HomeStar may not be the way to go, but I implore if you are going to get windows ask for Steve and Ross. That's a must. Nice job, HomeStar!

I researched a number of companies before deciding to work with HomeStar. They weren't the cheapest in town, but I felt that they offered the best value and were most likely to be around in 50 years if I ever have an issue. The project was done on time as promised, and they even did some extra work for us at no additional cost. I was really pleased with the job overall but did have some damage to my powder-coated porch rails that had not been covered properly before the old roof was removed. What followed, though, truly impressed me. Brian D, my roofing project manager, must have called me a half dozen times to check on the status and walk me through the next steps with a railing contractor. He even called me twice to ensure that I had received their check for the damages. Customer service like his are rare to find, and he is a tremendous asset to the HomeStar team.

I've been working here for a few months now, and the company as a whole is very well rounded. The employees are treated with reapect on a level I've never experienced before at another job. We're a smaller company on the verge of expanding, and the opportunities for current employees is endless. We're given options and are actually pushed into the direction of moving up in the company. These people have absolutely no idea how to work in center city Philadelphia. I signed a contract in January, asked for the work to be done in March, was completed on April 28. 2 walls of siding and 8 windows took 19 days, a work that they promised could be done in 3 days tops (including windows, siding and roof). After telling the sales person to come to the house 2 times to make sure everything was included on the contract price, they called me and charged me and additional $1800. Not only that, they called me several days after the installer ripped all the siding from my walls, so I couldn't refuse. even thou the contract said all labor and materials included. I was so disappointed that cancelled the roof work. First windows installer threw a tantrum because he could not park right in front of the house and he could not work in the house because the plumber was doing work in the bathroom. I told the scheduler couple times the plumber needed one of the window frames needed to come out so the tub could come in. Plumber had to do the windows guy work because the windows guy walked out on me. Super professional. These guys are used to suburban homes with double garage driveway, come to the city and don't know how to handle it. Second installer was very good but I had to accommodate to his schedule. If it wasn't because I work from home this would have been a total disaster. Scheduling is a mess. 4 of them came to my house prior to start the work and still they were clueless. Save money and frustration and call someone else.

This has been a wonderful experience, working with HomeStar Remodeling. The only complaint I have is that at my initial appointment, which I made in February of this year on the same day that a salesman came to my door, I was informed that I would only get the discounted price that he quoted me if I signed up on the spot. I do not recommend this business practice. Especially when I did not initiate the appointment. I was not even in the market for new windows until a very nice gentleman came to my door and gave a very good sales pitch. Your company should recognize that people need to shop around and compare your prices with others. I am happy with the price I was quoted, but I'll never know whether I might have gotten a better deal from another company. Things I AM happy about: I was given the privilege of paying for these windows one year after the date of installation, so I'm able to self-finance by saving a little each month until my bill is due in July 2017. On the day of installation, 2 very fine gentlemen accomplished the job in about 5 hours. They were very neat and cleaned up before they left and for that I m a happy customer. Two days later, Mandy came and cleaned the windows, to make sure all the sticky residue came off, and that was a wonderful unexpected treat. One thing we have left to talk about is the capping on the outside of the windows. Other than that, I am as happy customer.

They (or at least the 2 men who came to my home today in Bear, DE) are a harassment lawsuit waiting to happen. We met with Tim the remodeling consultant and he went through the process in great detail and made it easy to understand. You get the feeling that she works for you – the customer – with her scheduling. I knew the exact timeline of the roofing project as soon as I spoke with her. Cori in Finance is immediate with her responses. More importantly, she was accurate since it involves money. When it came to the roofing project, Brian “Demp” Dempsey is the kind of guy you want to hang out with. As the on-site project manager, he provided clean measurements and thoroughly inspected the job while the roof was being installed. George made pre- and post- work pickups. We talked about our kids for a bit. The roofers were excellent. They left my property spotless, were polite, efficient, and friendly. They completed the work in one day and were flawless. Quite impressive watching them work. Joe S. came about a week after the roof was complete to inspect the job. Not every company sends someone for a follow up to make sure the job is done correctly. Joe, my wife, and I ended up talking for a few hours. We moved into the house literally a day before Jack visited. We knew we needed a roof eventually, but did not intend on buying one this quickly. The price was right and the products are the best of class. One’s house is the biggest investment; it’s important to have a roof that will last. We knew that by going with Homestar, we could put one roof on our “forever home” and never need to worry about it. The sales representative was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about their product. He gave a good presentation and discussed the Slocomb Protech window product in great detail. The 4-man work crew (headed by Phil) installed my replacement windows in one day. All of the workmen were courteous, and hardworking. They arrived on time, replaced all of the windows by the end of the day--and they left the house cleaner than when they came! Phil did a walk through with me at the beginning and end of the day to make sure that I was satisfied with the work. I'll give homestar a 5, I am absolutely pleased with the work, I had done on my house, I had windows and siding replaced, but disappointed with the treatment, I got from Corey and her manager, on January 18, 2019, had appointment with Andrew, we discussed replacing two more windows in my house, when I called corey and discussed financial arrangement, I told her I didnt want a separate loan from the current loan, I have, she got rude with me and said I will see what my manager can do and rudely hang up on me and than got a message later that day, say thst the manager cancel the project and said if I wanted anymore windows replaced, my current loan has to be paid off, what a why to treat a customer, so I called Andrew back that day, to date I have not heard anything from Andrew, there are other remodeling companies around.

The whole company was very good. Andy, the roofing crew leader, not only went above and beyond the call of duty by helping move the 6 pallets of supplies from the front of the house to the back but also made sure the job was exactly the way we wanted it. The crew worked for two long days to finish the job. They also followed all of the notes that Rodolfo, the project manager, gave them. Also the roofing crew, who are not painters, painted our valleys to match the trim of our home. The company walked us through the process and with all the rain in the forecast, made sure we were all on the same page. For example, they dropped the dumpster the day before the job was due to start but due to the rain we had to delay, and they not only picked up the dumpster right away but were completely understanding with it not being able to leave it on a state highway. Jeremey, who knocked on our door to see if we wanted the estimate; Kyle who came to show us the products; and Rodolfo the project manager and Mandi the operations manager were all great and very helpful. Great company, great products, great people.

The crew cleaned up everything and left our patio and down stairs spotless. The speed and good communication both stood out to us. We got estimates from other companies who said they would order the product and it would take about 2-3 months to come in, HomeStar ordered the product quickly and it only took a few weeks for it to come in.
