I hired G. Fidale Roofing and Siding to redo the whole roof of my home in Middletown, Delaware on July 16, 2015 and replacing the old attic fan. G Fidale Roofing and Siding did an awesome job by redoing a large steep roof in one day. They removed the old shingles and installing new shingles and clean up the yard from falling nails and old shingle after the work was done. G. Fidale Roofing and Siding removed the old shingles and replaced them with new 50 years GAF shingles. All the workers on site are polite and cooperative. I am very satisfied customer for a great job G. Fidale Roofing and Siding did and I recommend them to any customer looking to have roof/siding replace and I will rehire them in the future in the event if I decide to have my siding and all windows replace. We recently had our entire roof and three sky lights replaced by Fedale and could not be happier with the entire process from consultation of what was needed through installation and after sales service. We had been plagued by a roof leak for several years and had others try to fix it to no avail. When we sat down with the sales rep from Fedale we were presented with a range of options each with its price tag and likelihood of fixing the problem. This in itself was very helpful. When we finally decided on replacing the entire roof and the three sky lights, the installation process was swift and professionally done. It has rained hard a couple of times since we got the new roof and no more leak! G. Fedale did the roof & skylight removal where i am staying. Jake was great dealing with for getting the estimate and scheduling me in to get the roof replaced. They got my project in fairly quick. My project manager was Jesse who was very professional and was helpful with any questions or concerns that I had throughout the process. I'm a middle unit 3 story townhome on a side street with allot of parked vehicles around. The work crew that showed up did a outstanding job towards debris protection with the neighboring properties. And i was really happy with that effort. After completion, the new roof looks fantastic. The clean up was top notch also, as they left no debris behind whatsoever. Overall I was very impressed & very pleased with the quality of work i recieved and would recommend to anyone. Thank you G. Fedale Roofing for an A+ job!

I don't understand the hype. Maybe it's their personalities, because they were a pleasant to speak to... before the job. I paid ~$20k for a TPO roof, 21 square. The drip edges were NOT installed properly, and I cannot for the life of me get them to admit this fault. They're supposed to start from bottom of the slope on each side and work up towards the apex so that the drip edges overlap. Instead, they went from one side and continuously installed up slope, and then downslope. The downslope regions have exposed flaps, which allows water to roll right in. I told them that frost wedging will pop this out, and they insisted they did it correctly. After the first snow we've had, sure enough, the drip edge gap started growing. You could fit your hand in between the gaps. So what did they do? They agreed to use a flexible seal over the overlaps to prevent water from rolling in, but instead they used a cracking caulk. They promised to replace that, but they didn't. I had to call them over to address the ever growing gap between the drip edge and the fascia. The guy used really short fasteners that didn't fasten anything; I had to tell him to switch to a longer fastener. The guy tried to leave after installing like 4 screws, and I held him there to finish up the job. He had to install screws basically along the entire front and back perimeter of the roof. He started to blame my fascia for not being straight instead of admitting their fault of incorrect installation. By the way, they teach you about frost wedging in middle school geography so this is not rocket science. Furthermore, a week following the snow storm, the chimney flashing popped off. An inspection reveals that they installed the fasteners with little to no edge distance, which means most of the load was carried by their sealant which eventually failed. I have to repair drywall damage due to the chimney leak. It took them over a week to come over to fix the chimney flashing. Would you pay $20k for headaches? I wouldn't. Biggest regret in my life yet. All of these troubles emerged within the first 3 months of the new roof.

Worst experince a customer could have with a company. The operations manager lied to me for the last 2 months when they agreed to have siding replaced due to a wind storm. After 2 months ,they still have not ordered the siding. They kept pushing up off. Mean while the sie of our house has had tarp on it for the last 2 months. Do yourself a favor and NEVER use this company. The Operations manager (Andy),who owns the company, can NOT be trusted. They are a joke of a company!!

I usually do not take the time to review companies, but as a truly satisfied customer who has shopped around many of the roofing companies, G. Fedale roofing was by far the best choice due to many factors. There are cheaper roofing companies, and more expensive roofing companies. G. Fedale puts an absolutely high quality roof, ridge vent, and a whole roofing system, and backs their word with a warrantee. Further, the roofing consultant Rob was truly a class act. Besides walking me through every step of the project, he was paramount in providing additional assistance to my specific roof case, which I was litigating the roof with the previous owners of the house. Whenever someone asks me where to go to get a roof, I always tell them to go to G. Fedale. They will absolutely give you a quality product, they back their warrantee (yes, Rob has visited my house months after the roof install to check on things), and you will not be disappointed in anything that they do.

Hi we had damage to our house and had all new siding ,windows, roof and gutters put on esentially everything. There were several problems. They put the roof on and didnt account for width of siding. Our roof had to be fixed. Roof too short to cover siding.There are nails everywhere but in the studs. They used silver flashing under dark siding. Our house glows in the sun. The seams. Manager hardly came. No supervision of workers. I still have no shutters.But at the same time they did my daughter's roof which is leaking and they have not fixed it. Ruined drywall etc. Upsetting that they are ignoring her.

After reading my original lengthy review posted below, I received a call from Adam Fedale, Owner/VP of Sales. We spoke for about 40 minutes and he was receptive to the feedback I had to provide regarding our disappointing experience with his team. I reiterated that the work his technicians and laborers completed was well done and we were happy with it. I appreciated that someone from the organization finally really cared to understand the issues we faced and I hope it helps to change the company from within. However, for me, the bottom line remains the same: the egregious lack of communication from the Scheduling Manager, Project Manager and Vice President/Residential Production Manager; poor planning and even complaints to us as the home owner about how “challenging” this small project had been, prevent me from recommending this company for their services. ^^Above Amended on 9/7/19^^ We contracted G. Fedale in late June to air seal around penetrations in our main attic that were allowing cool air to escape (ceiling fans, recessed lighting, etc.) as well as increase the amount of total insulation in the space, along with roof ventilation work. Additionally, they were contracted to install batt insulation in the attic in our garage where the garage wall meets the master bedroom. At the time we signed the contract and provided a sizeable deposit we were told the project could be scheduled within 3-4 weeks. Several weeks later I reached out for an update on the status of the project. I was told by the Office Manager it was 5-6 weeks from the time of contract signage to job scheduling. When I questioned what I was previously told I was informed that I simply was misunderstanding their process. Finally, on July 25th we received a call that our project will be completed the week of August 12th and the office would call the day before the project to give us notice. Fast forward to the week of the 12th. No phone calls had been received and by Thursday of that week I had to call and inquire. Our Project Manager, from whom I had never received any communication regarding the status of our project, didn’t even know we were on the schedule for that week and suggested I call the Office Manager. The Office Manager told me that due to rain the project was bumped to Monday the 19th. I was told to expect the crew to arrive between 7:30-8:30am. On the 19th, I received a phone call at 9:05am saying they couldn’t do the roof portion of the project that day because the previously ordered shingles had not arrived at the distribution location. Due to travel on our part the next available date for the work was August 26th. At this point I sent a lengthy email outlining my frustrations to Allen Fedale, Vice President of the company, who’s contact information was provided to me when we signed the contract and we were encouraged to reach out to him if we were not 100% satisfied with our service. To this date, I have not ever received even an acknowledgement of that email from Mr. Fedale. The roof portion of our project was completed on the 26th however; while completing the work one of the workmen accidentally put it his foot through the ceiling in the master bedroom. This required additional drywall work and painting on the part of G. Fedale. Coordinating these repairs with completion of the insulation project is the only time in our entire experience that they pro-actively reached out to us. It’s also important to note that it was never made clear to us that the roofing and insulation would be two separate jobs, on two independent dates, nor that a subcontractor from Georgetown, DE would complete the insulation portion. Each of the technicians or skilled laborers who worked on our home did a nice job. However, given the egregious lack of communication from the Office Manager, Project Manager and Vice President, poor planning and even complaints to us as the home owner about how “challenging” this small project has been, I would never recommend using this company for any of their services.

It took over a month to schedule and the day they come out they are running behind an hour to an hour and a half. They could have at least called and said they were running behind.
