I recommend that you call JP Carroll first. They will provide you a quote with all the components required by the shingle manufacturer. I was surprised at how many contractors price shortcuts into their quote often with a higher price. JP Carroll's team was fast and thorough. Hire them and stop worrying.

I contacted JP Carroll Roofing for an estimate on some roof repairs and the installation of a roof-top attic fan. They were communicative and responsive before, during, and after the job - thanks John! In my experience, this alone sets them apart from most roofers in the area. Most importantly, the roofer (Carlos) that performed the work at home was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable! He went out of his way to explain the finer points of my repairs because I had questions, and it was clear he was a seasoned pro. Additionally, he was a pleasure to meet and everything about his disposition gave me the confidence I'd hired the right company for this job.

I dealt with several contractors when deciding who to use . The JP Carroll team was the most responsive . Getting back to me promptly on any Questions I had regarding their bid . The house is a one hundred and twenty year old victorian with a turret several Dormers and flat top . On the scheduled day the crew arrived and completed the job in 2 days . After they performed the clean up you could not tell the roof had been replaced. I added gutter replacement after the job was complete and that was done within a week.Our neighbors commented as to the great job they did.Could not has asked for more

I would fully recommend JP Carroll Construction to anyone who is looking to replace their roof in Connecticut. I did not take the task of finding a company to handle my roofing needs lightly and did the majority of my due diligence by researching companies online and asking residents in my neighborhood/ town for references. JP Carroll was the favorite for my business at this point in time based on that research but I ended up choosing 3 companies to come out to my house and put together price estimates. This is where my mind was made up as they not only had the lowest overall cost but also the quickest timeline for completion. Throughout the actual process of tearing out the old roof and installation of the new, all of the workers were very respectful of my family and I and made sure to leave the site spotless at the end of each day. I must admit I did some snooping on the workers from afar throughout the project to make sure they were staying on task and was very impressed at their work ethic and apparent lack of fatigue. It was clear that these guys a) knew what they were doing and b) understood that any breaks they took throughout the day would only delay the project and ultimately delay them from starting a new one. I'm not sure how long the crew had been working together but the efficiency and teamwork was truly eye-opening. The project ended up being right on budget and completed a half day earlier than projected. The post installation process went just as well as the rest of the project as the site was left looking the same as it was before they arrived (just looking a lot better with the new roof!). There was quite a bit of debris that had collected in the attic and the crew made a point to remove every piece before they departed. I've said it before and I'll say it again, JP Carroll Construction is simply THE BEST for roofing in the greater Hartford area. Family owned, family operated, and a company you can trust as a member of the Connecticut Roofing Contractors Association.

We are THRILLED with JP Carroll's roof replacement on our home in Avon, CT! Estimation Process- Estimate was requested and received within 24-48 hours of request. Of the 3 estimates we received, it was the mid-point on price, but included the best materials and warranty terms. The JP Carroll Team was highly responsive throughout the process with any questions or add-ons we wanted. Installation Process- This crew worked hard! They completed the roof over 4 days the first week of Sept. There were some very hot/humid days, but they never slowed down. Typical the crew arrived by 8:00 and ended their day by 4:30 with only a brief lunch break. They were professional in their dealings with me and respectful to our home and kids. Each day they cleaned up their work and checked for nails to ensure kids wouldn't step on a stray. And at the end of the process, they cleaned out all gutters too of any debris. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with their work! The Roof- I chose GAF's Timberline HD series in Appalachian Sky (part of the Harvest Collection). It gave me a "basket weave" look in a black and brown palette that is still very classic. I am thrilled with the look of the roof!! Given that the roof has only been on for a few days, the integrity will need to be proven over time; but the installation process gives us great confidence it will be fine. JP Carroll roofing cared about making sure we have a quality roof!

They came out to review my gutter issues and proposed a solution. I said to go ahead, but never heard from the firm again. Multiple phone calls to follow up were not returned.

Present well, when selling you their services, but not at the time of installation. I'm not sure the workers worked for them or were contract workers. They did not speak english and showed up in an unmarked van. Work needed repair several times after installation and there were several problems with the job. I would avoid at all costs.

JP Carroll went out of their way to stay on schedule even though several Nor'easters had pushed things out a couple of weeks. I was only going to be in town during a certain week and they accommodated my scheduling needs. The roof came out beautifully and only took a week, as was expected.
