REVIEWS OF Connecticut Basement Systems IN Connecticut

Gavin Duffy

Bruce Toth was the Service Technician that came to our house. He called twice to give the time of arrival which was appreciated and was right on time. Bruce demonstrated a strong understanding of the work to be done. He was personable and willing to re-educate me on the inner-workings of the pump and the ventilation system we have installed. He was meticulous, asked questions for input and answered all my questions. I was impressed and eager to write a review.

Jonathan Licciardi

Incorrect over-billing issues were finally resolved after weeks of going back and fourth with several different departments. I was hoping for a better experience but I appreciate them working to get the issue corrected.

Art Crane

Cisco and his partner just finished installing a sump pump and water guard system in my basement. The installation was complicated when they hit Connecticut ledge rock and had to jack hammer it out for almost 2 whole days. Throughout the process, they were positive and informing despite the amount of work they had to do. The installation is impressive and considering all of the potential for dust and mess, you almost can't tell what went on. Excellent service, customer relations, value and result. I am so pleased and impressed. Thank you so much!

Diane Salmeri

I had a great experience before, during and after my work was done. Everyone I dealt with was professional and answered my many questions. The install crew were clean, neat and so polite. I'm thrilled with my decision to use Ct. Basemen t systems and have already provided referrals.

Purchased a house with a Connecticut Basement Systems Sump Pump installed and intended to stay with Connecticut Basement Systems. The pump was services regularly under previous ownership. First unsuccessful try to schedule servicing came in the middle of a few days of heavy rain when the pump appeared to be overwhelmed or at least taking a short break and the water came to the top of the basin. Tried to schedule by phone and online, naturally we were told there is currently high volume and there might be a delay in getting back to us. They never got back to us. Second time I tried to schedule a regular service thru the web portal. They never got back to us. Third time I called and was successful, the pump was serviced this year without any issues (and this is the sole reason why I give two stars instead of only one). Fourth time, and that's when it gets really bad, is when I contacted them, again thru their own web platform, to inquire about an additional, compatible battery operated backup pump. I explicitly asked for my options and a quote by email, not phone, as I rarely have time for that stuff during the work day. I also left my cell # on the web form. Instead, they call my wife, whose phone # they must have had in their data base. I call the guy back and only get his voicemail. I leave my number and ask to call me back. Have not heard for way over a week. Now really annoyed, I leave a voice mail on their main # and ask why they put so much effort in fending a guy off, who already has the wallet in his hand, knows what he wants to buy and is only waiting for a quote and scheduling. Never heard back. Called another company in the meantime, received quality advice and had a battery operated back-pump installed within a week after first contact. Since Connecticut Basement Systems proved so unreliable, I had their pump replaced at the same time, as well. If you put so much effort into pissing off existing customers already willing to buy, how high must be your budget for new customer acquisition??? What a waste.

Dan was superb! I had not completed service for two years and he very clearly explained why annual service is a must! He also let me know I could tie my sump pumps into my alarm system. The original sales person and installer never let me know that was an option. I will be asking for Dan with all subsequent service sessions. Thank you Danny Oestreich! Ed James

OK - sat around all afternoon today (Saturday) waiting for the service person to arrive between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. to fix the sump pump pipe which was installed by this company. The pipe is leaking and dripping onto some electrical wiring. No service person showed up and, of course, there is no one at the office to answer the phone. This is so unprofessional and unacceptable.

We live in Armonk, NY and Chuck Stofko and was incredibly helpful, working with us to find the best solution for our basement and within our budget. He assigned an incredible crew of men headed by Kryz Wilk (Senior Foreman), who were diligent, respectful and clean. I am extremely happy with the work and the results and no water in our basement.

John Bodnar

Denise is a smart and caring person.

Jace Colaneri

Connecticut Basement was very accommodating about squeezing our project into an opening they received in their schedule. They arrived on site with a full complement of tools and equipment to not only address their full scope of work, but also with some additional equipment that we needed to utilize to address an unforeseen scope change. Chris the foreman was knowledgeable and patient trying to work through the best solution to our unforeseen problems and was able complete the entire project in a timely manner. The whole crew was fastidious, and clean.

The rep, Tony Van Deusen, was great with me and my husband. I understand building, but my husband doesn't. Tony was equally comfortable explaining everything to both of us. For my husband to actually feel comfortable with knowing what is going on, and why is priceless. The materials are high quality and worth the money. Definitely recommend Tony and CT Basement systems.

This is not a favorable review. We had a sump system installed last August. I now have a swamp on my lawn and my neighbor's property. Ct Basement systems seems not to be interested in getting involved. My town's building inspector is coming out next week. What do I expect? I expect I will have to pay over two thousand dollars to fix a problem that should have been addressed when my pump was installed.

John Lewis Sr

How they left my system after maintenance and battery replace. what else was not done?

Renee Burger-McMichael

Kryz and his crew with Ct Basements did a great job on waterproofing our basement. They were professional, courteous, and very hard working.

Brian Kazmierczak

Installed french drains and sump pump in half our basement. The gentlemen doing the work were very profession and did a great job. We have not have water in our basement since. That being said, we had the work down in March, and the ground was still hard, so they installed the discharge line above ground "temporarily". We've called a couple times since then about it, and always get the reply, "they will come by and bury it next time they are in the area." Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that they've been "in the area" in 6 months. Looks like you really have to keep on them to come and finish their work. Unfortunately, they already have our money. If they finally do come out to bury the discharge line, I'd likely revisit the # of stars we give them... UPDATE: they did come out not long after I wrote this review and called, so I've updated my rating. Had some decent rain last week, and had some water in the section of the basement where the drains were installed, so not sure what that's about...

kfowler5 .

I picked them because of their reviews. However they came and quoted me a price to steal rail system. When crew got there they told I needed plumber to come move main water line to have rail system installed or I could go with carbon armor instead. Even though steal rail system is what I wanted because wall would be able to be moved back in place. However with carbon armor wall would stay as is. Is was no where in proposal that water lines had to be moved or I had to pay to have plumber to it.

Excellent and Professional ! Justin J was very professional and prompt and knowledgable about the products. He provided a complete and thorough service (in West Hartford) on 4 pumps.

Max Biga from Basement Systems was very friendly and professional. Thank you.

Ed Wrobel

Very happy with the service and with the system itself. Our service technician Daniel was very knowledgable, professional, and explained all that was done.

I signed a contract with them and gave them a deposit. I needed to cancel the work. They were good enough to refund me the entire deposit which I appreciate. They handled the situation with class so I give them 5 stars. I cannot personally speak to their quality of work but I know they have an excellent reputation.

If I could give zero stars, that would be my choice here. I hired CT Basement Systems to do a $10,000 job. The salesman and techs turned out to NOT DO WHAT WAS AGREED TO when I signed the contract. I trusted that what we agreed to verbally and shook hands on it when I handed him (salesman) a check for $3,000 as deposit was what was going to happen. The agreement was that I would have the Concrete slab cut into a grid 16” sections and they would remove the entire patio when they installed the structural elements to bring the concrete wall back to 90 degrees and close the crack at the corner of the wall. I suffer from a visual impairment, so I could not read the contract myself because the print was too small. I TRUSTED THESE PEOPLE AND THEY MISLED ME AND DIDN’T DO WHAT THEY AGREED TO. It gets better....(NOT).... I happen to have been in the hospital (unplanned) when they showed up to my house to do the work. When I heard from my wife that they weren’t going to remove the slab sections, I told her to tell them to get off my property IMMEDIATELY if they weren’t going to do what was agreed to. Some office guy called me in the hospital and said they had a 5 yard dump truck on site (a lie, they didn’t) and would remove what they could fit in the truck and come back for the remaining material. The salesman also assured me when he sold the job that they would “right the wall” to 90 degrees and close the crack and seal it with some caulk like filler. — another lie. I still, after the job was done have a wall with a 3“ wide crack 8’ tall at the corner where it had split. I am totally disgusted and feel like I was completely taken advantage of, especially while in a hospital bed!! My wife regrettably wrote the check for the balance of the job and these crooks were off my property in under 4 hours. The only thing they could do to make this right is do what was agreed to, nothing less. Job date 12/12/2017. Salesman: Matt Rese.

I had used Connecticut basement to install a radon mitigation system in 2001 and thus called them when the sensor indicated that the fan no longer worked. The new 2018 experience was... well, you decide . 1. The appointment was for 930 am, and they didn't arrive until 1050, never called. 2. The fan replacement took 10 minutes. 3. The fan is less than $150 at Home Depot or Amazon. 4. The charge from Connecticut Basement was $476. Is this remotely fair?

I had 9 support posts installed and the "airtight" basement system. Total cost $18,000. True value - near $3500 - really, have a local guy do the same things. It is not rocket science. Then, if they were really good - it might be worth it to spend a little more to have someone else take care of it, but they are not thorough, or caring. They rushed in and out in a day for the airtight system and a month later, it is already not airtight, they never explained how the system works, they refused to give me an owners manual for the dehumidifier, and then they came out here and lied about the efficiency of the system (He claimed that the humidity in the crawlspace was "low" - when pressed he said "40 to 50%". But I saw his gauge - it read 58.6%... in the winter!!!). I understand there are temperature limitations to when a dehumidifier can work, just say that and make sure the system is airtight, and give me the manual so I can understand how the system should operate. But instead, they blow smoke up you butt and tell you fairy tales. The system is not airtight, the plastic along the walls has fallen down less than a month later. They indicated that they will charge me for a visit to fix their mistake. I am still not sure that the dehumidifier is working properly. I have heard it turn on only once in 3 months. I strongly recommend that you hire the local do-it-yourselfer who you trust. Have him search the CT Basement system web site and copy what they do (Or do it yourself). You will save nearly $6,000 on the airtight system.

This is the first negative post I've ever put online, it's really not my style. I had a top of the line system installed in late 2016 including entire basement/garage perimeter trenching, (2) Triple Safe Sump Pumps and gutters extended 20 feet from house. My newly finished basement was dry until the FIRST time the power went out last Thursday, the day after the storm in Westport, CT. It was not raining that day, just snow melt. BOTH of my Triple Safe battery backups failed to pump out the water and flooded my entire basement and garage. I called for same day service the next day and granted it was a busy day for CT Basements, but they didn't show within the time window and I never received a call from them saying the original tech was tied up or late. So I had to call to have another tech come out, which he did within 30 mins. Tyler was VERY nice and seemed embarrassed that the battery back up pumps had failed. But all he could say was "sorry, these things happen. Your water volume was probably too much for the back up pump" I have a hard time accepting this given the way CT Basements markets the Triple Safes, especially given I have TWO of them. I called The company Monday and left a message for the service manager to discuss and get more perspective on the issue/incident. It is now Wednesday I have heard nothing back. On top of it, I was charged $166 for the service call only to be told their product couldn't do what it promised it would when sold to me. It's really a shame.

Attended the Leadercast program in the auditorium. Wonderful site for the event!

Davina King

Great experience with Max Biga as the technician for our annual maintenance.

William Coleman

I spoke with Brian Hammoc today about water in our basement and he was very helpful in getting Dan an excellent technician to our home promptly to evaluate the problem.

Jon S

The crew was very professional and did an excellent job. Basement is nice and dry now.

Robert Baran

Just had basement waterproofing done by Connecticut Basement Systems. If you need waterproofing two words.HIRE THEM! There crew was outstanding. From initial contact to final install. I had project foreman Chris Wilk. His crew was great I didn't catch their names but they worked hard efficient and clean like a well well oiled machine. Chris recommended an additional drain around well storage tank. Glad he did. The system install went in so smooth. With the exception of drying cement you could not tell they were in my basement. Tidy efficient. I wish all contractors were this way. Thank you Larry for your wonderful employee's.

Highy ethical and experienced company to work for and do work with.

Bill Hause arrived right on time, and introduced himself. We wanted to know if there was any sediment that needed to be cleaned out, and he was happy to show us. He was knowledgeable and after discussing with him how frequently the pump has been running (and we supposedly are in a drought), he suggested a back-up pump. His explanation made sense and we asked him when he could install one. To our surprise he said he could do it right then and there. This saved us from having to wait and get charged for an additional trip out. It was installed efficiently and provided us with an understanding as to how it works and what to look out for. Bill's customer service is impeccable and very much like the same excellent experience we had with the company when they originally installed the system a year ago. A very reputable and customer service staff and company. Thanks!

Donna Ortoli

This is my second experience with CT Basements. Both times they proposed extensive (and expensive) work that ultimately was not the problem. For a basement concrete floor that had erupted, they proposed inserting piles every 4 feet around the perimeter for a cost of $32,000! Instead, I paid $1,500 for a structural engineer to do an analysis and there was NOTHING wrong with the supporting structure. Had I not done my own research and instead relied solely on their reputation, I would have spent all that money and not had my problem fixed. I had a prior experience with a basement water problem. They proposed an inside drain and 2 sump pumps for about $12,000. The problem was actually cracks in the cement on my outside hatchway door and a bag of cement fixed my problem for under $5. I am sure they do great work but do you need it???

Don Burns

We had Ailton Dos Santos come out earlier this month. He did a very thorough job and we are very satisfied with the results. Highly recommended service. Thank you so much.

Roger Wassmuth

Kryz Wilk and his team were very professional and performed an outstanding job with the installation of my basement system. They ensured that my basement contents were protected from the dust and they cleaned up the area after the job was completed. He also informed me that if I had any issues that basement systems will take care of it. I do not anticipate any problems and feel much more protected with my new system installed. Great Job!

My first impression of these people is ambulance chaser's. My wife and I recently purchased a house and just received a notice from these people it was time to service our radon system. Funny thing is we had it serviced when we moved in by the company whose sticker was on the unit. So I call this company up and find out the only involvement they had at this address was to give an estimate years ago to the old owner. The price on the letter sent was three times what we paid the other company to service the unit. Ambulance chasing scam artists. Be careful people, they are out there, and they do walk amongst us!

Cyri Carifa

Chris Will and his crew did a great job installing our backup batteries and new pumps. They worked quick and efficiently and were very polite and clean.

Vedran Tomic

Great company!

Paul Baker

Reached out several times with no reply. Move on...

Brittney Griffy

Awesome company. Awesome network! They truly love what they do

Daniel Oestreich installed a new pump and completed the system's annual service. He is reliable, experienced, hard working and honest. Fairfield, CT

Mike Depasquale

Joshua Levitt

Chris Wilk and his crew just finished installing a new TripleSafe sump pump and Sani-dry dehumidifier system in our basement. After three years in the house, I finally feel like I have a safe, solid, reliable system down there. Chris and his crew were prompt, tidy, courteous, professional, and quick.

William Gauthier

Alberto Vasquez(Service Technician)came today to service my system and I am very happy with the visit. He is very friendly, professional and answered all my questions that I had. Alberto is a nice guy and I enjoyed talking to him. Very satisfied costumer.

Stephen Boatti

CT Basement installed a dehumidifier and waterproof flooring in our basement in Essex. The crew, led by Krzys, was careful and thorough. The flooring looks great. We had a small issue with removal of some previous carpeting, which was promised but could not be done after all. Mike McCarty, sales manager, was very helpful in resolving this issue to our satisfaction.

Henry LaPaglia

Dan Oestreich was our technician today. He introduced himself and described what he was going to do today. Besides the regular maintenance to my sump pump and Sani-Dry Dehumidifier, he replaced my battery and one of my three pumps. He was very professional.

kimsue Chin-Clennon

Very good customer service. The service technician Ailton Dos Santos was very courteous, knowledge and professional.

Michael S Lanzo

Great service, Thank you

Marylee Kelly

The absolute WORST company I've ever encountered. I was told my system was under warranty. It is NOT, supposedly the equipment that comes from Basement Systems is, but this company said it is up to Healthy Spaces if it is warranteed or not. They charge a yearly fee and claim it covers the work. Well, just how many customers are able to jack hammer up their basements to get the equipment out for them to repair? B Dry, came to my other home even though I wasn't the one that dried the basement. The warranty was transferable and I paid ZERO. Go to another company!!!!!!!!!!!

Christopher Barbuto

Great company that goes above and beyond.

Pat MacCarthy

We had CTBS come in and jack up the concrete floor in our 10,000 square foot manufacturing facility. A section approx. 20x25 had sunk a couple of inches. A section was beginning to crack. They came quickly, reviewed the situation, forwarded a quotation in a day or so, I agreed to the work, they scheduled the work, did the work in a very quick and professional manner. It has been about 1.5 years and the floor is absolutely perfect. We drive fork trucks weighing 10,000 pounds over the area every day. I was, and still am amazed at how well it worked and how painless it was. A+ in my book.

Michelle Herter

Extremely professional and very nice work done on time, great work crew!

corliss scott

Allan the foreman and his team were very professional, efficient, performed all the task required and finished the job in one day. I was inpressed, they started working in the am and did not stop until job was completed, they did a thorough job of clean up and explained in detail what the job entailed as we went through the process. we would recommend this company based on this team of workers.

Michael Muscaro

Outstanding Customer Service and Craftmanship.

Mary Garrett

Danny Oestreich was our technician for our annual service for our sump pump and battery backup. Danny and his partner were very professional and courteous. Danny gave us some feedback about our system and gutters. He took care of things quickly and upgraded our pump and battery backup. I’d recommend CT Basement Systems.

The worst company ever. Please do not waste your time with this unprofessional, horrible company. I set up an appointment for them to give me an estimate on waterproofing my basement. This guy (chuck) shows up and was here for less than 10mins. During those 10 min, I show him the basement and explain to him what I want done and he starts going on about the history of the company and how they are the best company, which is ok if you can back that up. He never pays any attention to the basement at all. He tells me all this info about the company hyping them up then hits me with we are booked until September. You have got to be kidding me, I could have been told that over the phone instead of sending someone out to waste my time. I tell him that’s not going to work for me, he tells me they could push me up the list which I thought was great, but then he tells me they are not sure when they could do that. I told him I’m looking for someone to give an estimate and a start date. This guy proceeds to tell me “well I guess it was nice meeting you.” I said I guess not and escorted him out of my house. What type of company does that??? I guess they didn’t want my business and I felt it was so unprofessional. If I could give this company zero stars I would. If all their employees are like chuck, they need to go out of business. Again don’t waste your time calling them, spend your money else where. I’m pretty sure you’ll get it done cheaper and treated much better.

Thomas Oberholtzer

Jorge Rodriguez did a thoroughly professional job in servicing and upgrading our sump pump. He is knowledgeable and personable and reflects greatly on the profile of Connecticut Basement Systems .

I would like to apologize to Connecticut Basement Systems since I did not give them the opportunity to remedy the negative experience I had with the installation of the system put in my basement. Their workmanship is superb. Very quick, neat and efficiently done. I was very impressed with the installation and professional job that was completed. I was contacted later on to try and resolve my displeasure with some issues I had brought up. I believe that the solution agreed upon was fair and reasonable to sway my judgement of the project as a very positive experience. My basement is no longer a threat during inclement weather. Again I want to apologize for my quick judgement. Thank you for your concern about getting things right.

Kyle Warner

Awful service go elsewhere. Plus can't fix it right the first time.

Walter Foery

Been with CT Basement Systems for many years and am glad of it. Everyone they've ever sent to our house has been professional and efficient. Dan Oestreich was likely the best ever. Explained everything he did clearly and concisely and was very engaging. As soon as we're ready to replace the pumps I'll be sure to ask for him.

Kyle

Excellent Service! Max Biga was very thorough and professional.

Toni-Ann Vittoria

Jeff Allen did an excellent job today! He called in advance, came on time and did a fantastic job changing the motors on all our sump pumps. CT Basements and Jeff Allen are great!

K Wolfe

Daniel Oestreich serviced our system today. He was friendly, polite and efficient. Every interaction we have had with Connecticut Basement Systems has been a positive one, from the initial estimate, drain and sump pump installation and servicing. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

Sandy Andstrom

The crew wanted to tear down an area as large as a closet that had a sink and cabinet. I told them no; after calling the company they suddenly had the necessary room and the area with the sink stayed. They did tear down floor to ceiling shelves that I wasn't aware of until after they left. The cement they used to cover the trench was so cheap it cracked around the entire perimeter of the basement. So now I have to disconnect the dehumidifier unit because all the water is not draining - it's all over the basement floor! However, the wall cover looks nice, so I gave a star.

K

Mike Mcarty (not sure of the spelling) thank you for helping me out today. I just wanted to relate to folks that even though I did not use your services due to issues out of my control, you took care of cancelling my contract and refunding my deposit without question. You just wanted me happy. I appreciate your kindness. I think your awesome. And Will gave me a call just to assure I was getting a refund with a follow up email. Thank you both.

Chris

Zero Stars. Do not have this company quote your job! They just quoted us $40k to put in waterproofing system, for a home that has a minimal amount of water coming into the crawlspace through the foundation. The work they quoted was so ridiculous that it scared off the buyers for our home. They were clearly trying to take advantage of new homeowners.

Doug Jacob

Paid them 18k to put down the dry system and new pump. 1st day staying in the home, I wake up to standing water and an alarm from the sump pump. It is Sunday and they have no emergency line so I wait until Monday morning to call. When I call, the representative asks me what day this week is good for me. I explain that I need someone today and that I just spent all this money and they left me with problems. He then tries explaining to me that I will be charged 165 dollars for a service fee! I ask for the manager and didn't get him. I'm now waiting for someone to call me back. I don't review things so this is rare, but what a joke.

Joe Frutuoso

We had the pleasure of having Allan Guglielmoni and crew worked on our basement yesterday. They did Great job and completed it in one day. The basement looks great and completely dry. I love it. Thank you Allan and crew!

Kevin Kelleher

My daughter is getting married this week and we have a house full of guests from out of town. It would not be a very good time to also have to deal with a flood. Bill just left. He was pleasant and clearly knew his business. He did a professional job of cleaning out the sludge, showing me the workings of the system and letting me know realistic expectations on the motor life. That said, I decided to err on the side of caution and replace the motor which he had with him. He finished up and cleaned up everything – then last we walked outside to be sure the ejection area was in order. I can rest assured that what was a panic situation just a short time ago is dealt with.

Jesse Coull

During our estimate from Connecticut basement systems, my wife and I discussed our concerns that we would have to have an asbestos abatement performed before the work could be done. Their representative told us that was not the case. We paid a substantial down payment and booked the first available appointment, for over 3 months later. When the laborers arrived, they told us the work couldn’t be done until the asbestos had been abated. I was pretty angry. We heard from no one from the company until the next morning, when I reached out to the man who had performed the estimate. He didn’t even know the work wasn’t done, and the electrician was still trying to show up (to wire the work that hadn’t been done). Two days later, I am even more angry because I am clearly not a priority of theirs (my voicemail to Ferdinand has not yet warranted a call back, and I am spending my morning on an issue that should already be resolved). What a colossal waste of time, in that we would’ve had the asbestos abated a LONG time ago if their representative hadn’t explicitly told us we did not have to. I don’t usually post reviews, but based on the lack of response so far, I don’t see how else to proceed.

Reva Slasky

Great service today by Jeff Allen and George. Serviced multiple pumps and SaniDry. Totally professional, respectful and competent and knoweledageable about all their systems and products.

Claudia Bilotti

What a pleasure it is to have a service person call & say when they will arrive & then he arrives on time! Bruce was very communicative about what he would do, how long it would take & the results of his servicing. Excellent experience!

CC Marsh

Thank you to Bill and the rest of the CT Basement team for your responsiveness! Bill came out Friday night at 6 pm, in a driving rainstorm, to work on our sump pump. He got us up and running again with a new pump! Great guy!

Eddie Ibanez

I give CT basement systems 0 stars. The salesmen are great. The delivery falls far from the sales pitch. I was ok paying above market because of good things I have heard. 1) they did not complete what they said they would and jack-hammered wrong places in the basement. 2) they said they would tape off their work to alleviate dust. They diddnt dust (like an inch of it) got everywhere on even on my second floor ruining items and furniture in my home.

Lynn Wytas

Basement Systems treated me very fairly when I needed to cancel an install at a property I own. We are a privately owned LLC and decided that we simply could not afford the system and called them to cancel. They were extremely responsive and understanding of my financial situation. They very quickly returned the deposit and did not even charge an administrative fee. I believe that Basement Systems is a fair and honest company and was very grateful that they understood the situation our small company's cash flow issue.

denise godin

we had basement systems install their basement waterproofing in 2008 from the 1st phone call, to the appointment, quality of work including battery backup sump pump and clean up was fantastic. we have not had a drop of water in our basement/family room since. we have and continue to recommend basement systems to all that have this problem. one of the best decisions we have made. thank you Basement Systems

Alex Schnell

Paul Zambrano

Eberhard Gaebele

Professional company - nice people - but once you have an emergency please do not expect them to help you fast.

Michael Russo

very professional at both sales and install level, they know what they're doing!

Ronnie Esquivel

Amazing company. Larry is a truly an expert and has created an exceptional team. For the company to be as large and diverse as it is, the owner is still involved and knowledgeable with even the smallest of details.

Thomas Tesla

They did a great and timely job, cleaned up asked me if I had any questions and all the crew was polite. This is the place to do all your work.

Jay Abraham

Great installation. Basement is extremely dry now. I opted for just the standard Zoeller sump pump and installed a battery backup system myself which I bought from Lowes.

Louise McMinn

Max Biga was competent, quick and personable. He arrived promptly on time at my Greenwich home. He assessed the problem with my sump pump and serviced it immediately.

Michael Field

Quick. Great service. Very trustworthy. Thanks!

Jim Kelly

Service and Scheduling were great. Scheduling for me, like for many of us, can be challenging. Both appointment coordinator and technician worked with me to shuffle my appointment to meet my availability and did so while still be appreciative of my business-- really impressive. Connecticut Basement Systems are the go-to in the industry.

Krzys “Chris” Wilk was professional, thorough and easy to work with on a Basement waterproofing job in Larchmont. They communicated updates on their arrival time, explained what needed to be done and even troubleshot Pro-actively when we realized a lining would be needed that was not on the original estimate — with an understanding that isn’t want a last-minute upsell but rather genuinely ensuring we had a durable, permanent solution to our water issues. They completed the job on time, and took care to line the entry and exit routes such that it was clean when they left.

Kryz Wilk and his crew did a great job. They arrived 1/2 hour from the earliest arrival time, and continually worked until the job was done. They did an exceptional job with some of the finer details and cleaned everything up really well. They were courteous and answered any questions I had. The electrician that accompanied them was also great.

I would like to give them no stars. As far as water treatment goes .....Service is terrible and installation even worse. They put in the Bubble-Up system and the UV light was installed improperly 3 times with major leaks. When they came back for the annual service, it turned out that it was still improperly installed. Exactly 2 weeks later the Bubble Up system wouldn't turn off. Had to put it on by-pass. They told me they would call me first thing in the morning....I had to call them mid-morning. Earliest date to fix it would be 9 days later. By the way, they said that they would come out to test the water one week after it was installed. They never did. They then charged me over $500 for the "annual" check-up which included water testing. Yet to see those as well. So the check-up cost me and I guess he broke it as well. Nice, they generate their own income stream. Go to someone who specializes in this instead of "all things in the basementy". They are interested in selling.... not service and they can't seem to install either. To top it off, they are NASTY.

Had yearly service on pumps and dehumidifier performed by Daniel O. He was professional, courteous and clearly knowledgable of the equipment he was servicing. He arrived on time and was thorough. A nice experience.

After looking at many waterproofing companies, we always came back to Basement systems. Our salesperson, Todd, was great. He was patient and always available to answer our questions. The install day went great also. The crew arrived and within minutes were already working! They tarped everything in the basement before starting! They worked quick, efficient and clean! My only two complaints were that cleanouts were not installed around the perimeter and my cellar door threshold plate was broken. I was given a reason to why the plate was broken, but I am skeptical. I can live with it, and make it work, but an honest answer is always best. As for the cleanouts, I mentioned to the job foreman before he left and he offered to put one in before the cement dried, but I had no idea where to put it and felt rushed. It is a decision that should be made ahead of time, I shouldn't have been the one to notice there weren't any. Overall, we are so far (Day 1 after install), happy with everything. Max arrived on time and was extremely efficient and professional. He conducted his inspection, installed a new pump and presented an invoice. I hardly knew he was here. I rate Max' at the highest level.

Daniel was on time, thorough, efficient, courteous, and personable. I've already made my appointment to have him return in 2018.
