Tobin is the most honest, reliable and responsive HVAC service company I have ever worked with. They responded same day to my call about furnace problems. They diagnosed the problem on my 6 year old furnace as a pressure switch, replaced it with a new one that they carry on their truck, replaced a suspect hose, cleaned things, tested it to make sure all was good and were on their way. Their charges were unbelievably reasonable! This is a family owned, second generation business with great ethics. Could not recommend them highly enough!

We were so happy we called Tobin. We had several quotes on a new two stage furnace and chose Tobin because their pricing was so much better then the other quotes we received. We were even happier after because of how clean and professional their tech's were. They had to retrofit the new furnace to our old ductwork. They came as a team and removed the old and installed the new furnace the same day. Our energy costs went down significantly. We had a 20 year old furnace that was not near as nice as the new high efficiency one they installed. We recommend Tobin highly!

Last winter our furnace decided to go out on literally the coldest day of the year, and within a few hours they were able to come out and diagnose the problem. Even better was that they figured the part was under warranty and found it in stock on the same day. Needed line set for my mini split gauged and checked as you do anytime you set one up . Pre charged unit . No need to add any refrigerant . APPARENTLY this isn't something they do ???? You're an hvac company . It's exactly what you do. I was specifically told by the manufacturer to call and hvac technician . I guess I'm not understanding why.

There is a reason this company has a unanimous 5 Star rating...THEY ARE GOOD!! My A/C wasn't working (due to something I thought I did) and I needed it up and running. I called around to 6 companies, 2 of which I had used before. No one had an opening sooner than 4 days out...most were a week plus (It's summer and understandable). The receptionist at Tobin, however, offered to put me on a list in case there was a cancellation. I said "yes", but held out little hope. She called me the next day and said she could have someone out the following day between 1 & 4 pm. FANTASTIC!!...For two reasons...I had taken that day off for contractors to come out, so this worked out schedule wise, but more importantly...She actually watched her cancellations and waiting list...She called back and totally saved me a week of no A/C and another day off work. The tech who came out was friendly, approachable, listened intently to my explanation of what I thought was going on and then went to work. He checked what he needed to, then explained what he found. The compressor breaker was tripped outside and the unit was low on Freon. He discussed the price of the R32 (I have an older unit), my options and possible causes for the breaker tripping and low refrigerant. I chose to have him charge the system. Once he did, it worked like a charm and the house cooled down pretty quickly. He made sure I was satisfied, wrote out a service ticket and was done. Thanks Tobin, not only for the professional and expert technician, but also for caring enough, to WANT to fit me in to a pop-up opening in your schedule. I'll be calling on you again for my rental and primary residential HVAC needs !!

My furnace went out and I called up Tobin to get an estimate. I had three other estimates for similar furnaces and the other companies wanted $1000 more. I hired Tobin and had a high efficiency Amana furnace installed for much less than the other companies. I was very happy with the two service technicians who came out. They had to do some additional piping to vent the furnace and everything looked neat and clean when they were finished. I highly recommend the professionals at Tobin.

We used Tobin for a/c install 5 years ago - EXCELLENT JOB. So we called them back to do the same at our new house last summer. The gentlemen who showed up wasn't very professional and didn't take many notes/measurements/etc. He explained that the father (whom we had dealt with on our first install) had passed away and now the next generation was running the business. Sadly, we never received a bid or any kind of follow-up. This is one of the most frustrating experiences - you set aside time from your busy schedule to meet with them, and they don't even provide the courtesy of a bid or a follow-up. We were repeat customers (or trying to be, anyway). I'd hate to imagine how disrespectful they are to people whom haven't already given them thousands of dollars worth of business.

I use Tobin for my home heating problems, so when the heater went out at my school, I immediately called Tobin. Phil was there quickly and diagnosed the problem right away. The owner of the school had two other people look at the furnace before and they were not competent. He was extremely happy with Phil and Tobin. Phil recommended some future repairs. The price and quality are exceptional! Don't look anywhere else for heating and air.

We had two different HVAC companies came by to look at our AC unit and tell us the freon was low and it needed to be either recharged with R-22 to the tune of $1300-2000 or replaced to the tune of $6000-10,000. Tobin came and said not only was it fine, the freon level was slightly high and it was blowing 47 degree air. I still can't believe we had two different companies come and lie to our faces, but I'll be recommending Tobin to everyone I know and I asked them for a quote for when it does finally fail.

I have called Tobin now on 3 occasions for various issues with our furnace and our water heater. Phil Grippi, a service manager and I believe one of the owners of Tobin, came out each time. He gave me solid advice and saved me thousands of dollars when another company, Applewood, suggested total replacement of my furnace and water heater. Not to mention, had those items actually needed total replacement, Tobin's estimates were half of what Applewood wanted to charge us. I would also add that the office staff at Tobin are responsive and courteous, and they will do their best to get someone to your house the same day. Phil Grippi is professional, trustworthy, and always provides a variety of options rather than insisting on the most expensive fix. If something is wrong with your heating, air conditioning, or water heater, call Tobin first!!
