Wonderful experience. I had a lot of damage to my concrete tile roof in the June 2018 hail storms. My insurance company was only willing to pay for 1/4 of my roof to be repaired, but the first 3 contractors I called came by and said they would only take the job if I could get 100% replacement from my insurance. After 6 months of that fight, I called J&K. They took my job and did a nice job matching the 12 year old tile, completing the job in a timely manner, and even taking care of the gutters and decorative flashings. I highly recommend them, and would use them again.

I was looking at removing a wood shingle roof and replacing it with a stone-coated steel roof. I obtained quotes from 5 different roofers, and selected J&K Roofing. Here's my experience: (1) Chris provided many useful advices, and walked me through the whole process; (2) J&K's quote was competitive. Their proposal was detailed. (3) The company didn't require upfront payments. The company provided all the necessary documentation (e.g., certificates of insurance) and did obtain the necessary permit. (4) The crew showed up per the scheduled we agreed on. (5) The crew was fantastic! Everything was cleaned up daily, and complete cleaning was performed upon completion. Everyone was friendly. (6) The work was performed to my complete satisfaction. (7) J&K organized for the city inspection, insurance inspection, etc. My new roof looks great and I can recommend J&K Roofing without any reservation.

We are very pleased with the service we have received from J&K Roofing. They replaced our roof four years ago and everything was wonderful until the very destructive hail storm in June 2018. After the storm our insurance adjuster documented significant damage so we contacted Danny of J & K Roofing. He agreed that we needed a new roof so we scheduled a convenient time for the work. The week before we were scheduled Danny called us and said, “We can be there on Monday.” We were expecting them to deliver the shingles and then do the work sometime that week but we were pleasantly surprised when they delivered the shingles at about 8:00am and a crew of 7-8 roofers set to work immediately. By 4:00pm we had a new roof and everything was cleaned up. We’ve watched other roofing companies do work in our area and sometimes it takes them more than a week to finish a job and they leave a mess behind. We can only offer high praise and our thanks to J & K Roofing!

Our area was hit hard by the July 2014 hailstorm. Chris Stevenson from J&K was great. He came to the house very quickly and came up with a proposal to fix a broken window, replace gutters, replace the shingles and paint the house. Their was no pressure to sign the proposal. After reviewing it along with other proposals, we decided on J&K due to their longevity and reputation. The damage was repaired quickly and efficiently. Nails were not left on the property. The painting was excellent. In fact, several neighbors gave unsolicited comments on how much they liked the paint job. I was impressed by Chris's attention to detail as well as his visiting the house on several occasions during the process. Even J&K's owner came over several times. Chris was the go-between with the insurance company, making that part painless. I wholeheartedly recommend J&K Roofing and Chris Stevenson in particular.

Without going into too much detail, the experience with this "business" was the worst I've ever had to deal with. We closed on our house June 23rd, previous homeowner arranged with them to have roof replaced, the job was finally done by october 13th. During that time I was harassed and threatened by the sales person to even put a lien on the house if they weren't paid. Well having not received an invoice/bill and the job they did failed inspection with the city 3 different times, I finally released the checks when they fixed everything including the damage they caused to siding blaming the house for "dry rot". Out of the many harassing phone calls from the sales person I asked for him to stop calling me and to have his boss directly contact me, it never happened. This is just bad business and customer service at its worst.

Although it took several months because of solar panels, J & K Roofing did a wonderful job with an insurance claim caused by a nasty hail storm. Painting, garage doors, window screens, siding, down spouts, gutters, solar panel removal and replacement as well as the roof shingles, were all done professionally and within budget. Nice roof, shady contractors, bad communication. The roofing contractors used my water hoses without asking. In fact they used them once they saw me leave. I'm not a jerk or anything, the problem lies in my backyard hose spigot was broken which was very clear as soon as you turn it on. Instead of turning it off they flooded my basement and ruined a mattress. Then we were not told when the gutter crew was coming and I had scheduled meeting away from my house. So they see us leave, we were gone for approx 45 minutes. Upon return our back door lock was broken, key would go in but would not turn. We would have been there the entire time had it been communicated that they would be there that day. Then randomly without telling us about 2 weeks later they sent someone to "fix" our lock, not sure how they were planning on fixing it without us being there. I saw them on my new security camera while my husband was sleeping and called him. Um, we already fixed the lock the day it was broken, which was communicated on my part. After all this headache they tried charging me tax twice. Then offered to take $300 off the bill, ouch. Bad business

Exceptional company! I was introduced to Randy James and J&K roofing through a neighbor. After arranging a meeting, Randy went over the roof with me showing me the hail damage and explaining my options. He was extremely thorough, professional, courteous, knowledgeable and he patiently answered all of my questions. He was never pushy. Randy also offered to be present for the insurance inspection which turned out to be a blessing as he pointed out several items that the insurance appraiser overlooked. At my request, Randy assisted with having some of the other damaged items repaired by providing referrals and also acting as a GC for some of the smaller repairs. After several conversations, I was confident enough to ask them to perform the work while my family was out of town on vacation. Randy kept us informed through the entire process and we returned to a beautiful new roof and a clean nail-free yard. In the months after, I contacted Randy several times to ask questions. On more than one occasion, he happened to be in the area and drove to my house to speak in person. During one of these visits he noticed that the painters (who I’d independently engaged) had done extensive damage to the roof with their ladders. Randy worked with me to get the damage repaired. I would strongly and confidently recommend J&K Roofing to anybody in need of their services. They will be the first and only call I’ll make should I need roofing work in the future.

The communication between the "salesman" and workers was not concise. The overall experience was negative, the only positive thing that came out of the experience is a good quality roof. The process of scheduling and going over money details was disappointing and confusing. Having homeowners insurance cover the entire process should have made it easy, but payments came to us at different times through insurance, figuring out what amount was paid and owed was not clearly explained. The biggest "uh-oh" or lack of communication was regarding the swamp cooler. We had removed the non-working swamp cooler and let the salesman know to leave a hole where the ducting is so that the day the roof is complete, we can install the new swamp cooler. We were not able to be home that day before the completion of the roof, and the workers covered up the swamp cooler access with shingles! We were not able to schedule a time for them to come back out due to weather and it being less important for us to be squeezed into their schedule since we had already paid and the job was complete. The new metal vents on the roof were supposed to be replaced and instead were painted, so I had to request the company to come back and replace with new items like we paid for. Again, this was not a priority due to the job being complete. The job was done promptly and cleanup was sufficient, but overall the experience was not worth using this company again or recommending them.

Dealing with J&K was a miserable experience from start to finish. I only hired this company due to Tim being friends with my buddy. I was told my buddy would get a reward for bringing my business but to this day he hasn't gotten a thing so the lies started day 1. I felt like I was constantly lied too and in the dark this entire 6 month process. From the second I signed the contract and got the insurance check I basically never heard from anyone. They do not schedule anything and will not work with your schedule. When I signed the contract they didn't even cover the hole in my skylight for me. A month later the roofing materials were delivered at 10pm on a Sunday without notice. I was sitting on my couch then bam, house shakes and alarms go off. I called Tim and he apologized then said work would start at the end of the week. 24 hours later at 6am it was complete construction mayhem. Zero notice given. My car was stuck in the garage getting rained on by debris because it was blocked by their dumpster. The skylights were all removed so no family member could use the bathroom. My wife had to call off work and my brother had to cancel his visit because of his young kids. The roof crew threw away my rain sensor costing me $230 which I wasn't refunded until the end. They removed my swamp cooler but since I had no notice I had to call out an emergency electrician and pay more to shut it off. J&K does not work on anything but the roof so I couldn't have areas fixed causing one corner of my house to now be busted through. All of this could have been avoided with proper notice of when they were coming. After they left I never heard from anyone and waited a month for gutters. I called Tim and was told gutters were scheduled for the end of that week. 1 hour later 4 Hispanics in a rental truck show up with a work notice and no English skills. It was the gutters. J&K seem to have zero clue of who they hire or when they are showing up. They didn't replace the downspouts as I was promised. Tim apologized and again promised to let me know when things were going to happen. Few weeks later a random guy shows up and complains to me he was told the wrong skylight size. I had no idea who this person was. Four days later guy shows up while I'm at my doctor, cusses out my wife, installs the wrong skylight, sets off my alarms, and throws the old one into my yard. Tim once again apologized and threw the trash away. A week later I got a call, had a time scheduled, and another J&k guy installed my new skylights. That was great and I thought things were getting better. After awhile a guy showed up from my insurance to inspect for additional things as requested by J&K. I was never even told they were going to do this and just wanted to be done. I got an additional $500 for my shed that's gonna cost 3k to replace and more money for a back part of my roof. I was continously asked about this additional check by Tim and didn't want to tell him the amount. I felt like they wanted to pad the bill. They never did the work on the back part of my roof. I found out everything was finished by coming home to discover the roofing sign gone and inspection paper removed. Nobody ever calls you. I called the office multiple times and wrote multiple emails to no replies for my bill. When I finally got my bill there was zero break downs on cost or any paper work. The bill was given to me 5 days after the due date shown. The bill had been generated over a month before. Not to my shock my bill was the exact amount insurance gave me plus about $5,000 out of my pocket. I was charged for special shingles but I have no clue if those were actually installed. I have to have someone now fix the broken part of my roof, someone replace a shed with zero funds, finish the gutters, and drag myself out of debt for hiring this company. I had hoped hiring them would relieve stress but their lack of communication or scheduling caused more. I really wished I had hired a different company. I only paid my bill because of fear of having a lein put on me and wanting to just be done with it.

They handled everything flawlessly: quote, revisions due to four layers of old roof, insurance, and spotless clean up. They protected all of my young plants and even arranged to have my trim painted, etc. One stop shop. So many roofing companies will contact you when a huge hail storm hits. Ignore them all, and call Brent at J&K. I'd never use another company.

J&K Roofing was just out this morning to do a Free Roof inspection as we had concerns that we might have had some roof damage or leaks from recent storms. Their rep (Brodie Bronson) was extremely friendly and professional, and listened to our entire slightly complicated roof history before doing his inspection. Everything turned out to be fine, and he gave a good explanation of what was going on up there, since we couldn't really see. Also, when he was up there he did noticed that some of the seals around the pipes were not properly done by the home builder, so he sealed them up, free of charge. Their communication throughout the estimate and scheduling process was also excellent. We really appreciated his customer service, and would definitely use or recommend these guys.

Over all the experience was good with J&K Roofing. Started off a little rough and they had some stuff that needed to be fixed when they left but, after coming back numerous times everything was fixed and my roof looks nice. Just my opinion but I think there needs to be better communication and if the crew would slow down to look over the roof before they left it would eliminate come backs to fix little things that were over looked. What a fantastic roofing company to work with. We were nervous to work with a roofing company due to never using one before and not knowing who to trust for such an important job. We are so happy we found J&K Roofing, Tim came out right when we had scheduled to check our roof after the June storm. As we expected it was time for a new roof. Our insurance wasn’t easy to work with and was fighting even on things just to bring our roof up to code. Tim worked very hard going up the ladder with our insurance until he found the person to make it right. He got the supplemental claim processed. Wayne assisted us with any questions we had and signing the contract as a tag team effort with Tim so that we never had to wait to be taken care of. We got in the “queue” and other than weather everything ran on schedule. The crew that came out to replace the roof was super nice and were very professional. They kept the surrounding area as clean as possible even during construction. I was super pleased with all the tarps they laid down to help keep things clean. They were even able to take an old swamp cooler off the roof and redeck the area so the roof is whole again. They cleaned up very well at the end of the job and we barely found any overlooked nails. If a friend or family needed a new roof I would definitely recommend Tim and Wayne with J&K Roofing and will use them again if we find ourselves needing a new roof on a house in the future.

We had a fantastic experience with J&K Roofing. We replaced 3 layers of asphalt shingle with Decra Shake metal roofing. We searched two years for someone who could install a metal roof with a batten system. Most roofing companies had no idea what we were even talking about. J&k not only knew what it was, but had a Decra certified installation team to do the work. We no longer have the huge fluctuations in temperature on hot days. We hired JK Roofing after getting a few other bids after the recent hailstorm near Louisville. Although JK's bid was higher, we had a seamless and easy experience and the roof is fantastic. We think their higher price is definitely worth it after seeing how quickly the team replaced our roof and gutters. They also coordinated an outside gutter company to do the gutters and that was seamless as well. We've had our roof on through 5 snowstorms now and it is looking and working great so far. Our salesperson worked with our insurance company on a few extra items (additional cost for steel gutters) and that portion was helpful as well.

Dustin McIntire was our rep, very professional, honest, and on top of things with our insurance company to make sure we got paid for every little thing that had hail damage, even non-roof related items. The crew worked very hard, getting our huge roof done in one very long day. They cleaned up the yard amazingly well (as one other reviewer said, not perfect, but much better than I expected--a few nails here and there, a couple of small bits of shingle left behind). The whole process was seamless, and the roof looks beautiful!
