We were thrilled with the work done by everyone at Homefix. Griff has assembled a very professional crew, staff and sub-contractors. We would hire them again if we needed additional work. They completely remodeled our master bath, did interior painting, and managed to replace most of the flooring in our home. EXCELLENT CRAFTSMANSHIP!

First job we hired them for was exterior repairs following hail storm. Good experience. Second job we hired them for was interior remodel of the master bathroom. Worst experience ever. Terrible communications, could not get them to communicate with us. Terrible quality, had to point out problems that even people who had no clue would have noticed. Several things had to be redone multiple times. 5 week job took more than 8 weeks. Nothing but excuses. Just terrible lead foreman, totally incompetent workers, no oversight from the leadership. Regardless of what you read on other reviews, I'd strongly recommend you run, not walk, away from Homefix.

Never received my service. Seeing all the wonderful reviews I decided to contact them about my damaged walls. I contacted this company a couple of weeks ago regarding holes in my walls. They gave me an estimate and we schedule a date. We mostly communicated through email which I didn't think was very professional, however whenever I try to call no one answered. The day prior to our appointment I got another email saying they had to reschedule. I didn't check my email until the end of the day that day and had already arranged my morning for them to come in. It would have been a lot nicer to receive a phone call. I just wanted the holes in my walls fix but sadly it look like I will have to start my search all over again.

I hired Homefix to renovate two bathrooms. They submitted the lowest bid, half that of one other contractor, and I was a bit leery, but I had met and liked Gino and Griff, so I signed the contract. I could not be happier. Every workman who worked on the project (and there were a bunch of them) was on time (or called to say they'd be late), professional, polite, diligent, and cleaned up after him or herself. They did an excellent job communicating with me throughout. They finished on schedule and for the agreed upon budget. Their quality control process was thorough and impressive. If you have a home project, your first call should be to Homefix.

The work their subcontractors have done so far is fine (they're still not done a shower remodel after 7 working days), but the office staff seem pretty disorganized. I had to contact them on four different occasions to get my shower remodel back on their schedule. First, they forgot to put me on the schedule. No big deal. Everybody makes mistakes. Then, they successfully scheduled a plumber after demolition. Hooray! Things are moving forward! After that I had to contact them to get a tile guy scheduled. They still weren't done after that and have to have a plumber and a drywall guy come in to finish things up, so I had to contact them again to get this scheduled. Their project manager sounded surprised when I told him they weren't done, but scheduled them while I planned to be on vacation. That didn't work so he said he would call me back to reschedule the Monday after I returned. The call never came. So I contacted Homefix yet again to get back on the schedule. Finally back on the schedule to get things done after blowing this whole week with no work done. Disappointing. I expected better. Still, I let them quote a couple more jobs I needed done as their work has been good. They quoted one and never sent me a quote for the other, which is a project I needed done quickly. So, I had to hire someone else as it took them 2 days to get back to me after I told them they didn't send the quote I needed. Everyone is nice and professional, but the experience has been disappointing. I don't think I'll use them again.

I needed tile installed in my living room and bathroom (about 350+ sq ft). I made some calls and either I found "tile guys" that were not licensed but would still charge premium, or other reputable companies that would give me a date months away just for estimation. Homefix was here on a Friday for the estimation, just couple days after calling them. I was super happy with their professionalism and hired them right away. We also got the material same day. Work was complete next week. I can't imagine how one can do a better job than what Homefix did, no complaints from me. Job well done, honest and good communication. Definitely recommend.

So much for that 5-year warranty. I had Homefix come do a few renovations in my house. This was my first time doing any kind of renovations and dealing with a contractor, but was it a mess. I hope this is't the norm. I felt like I had hired a friend as a side job, there was no time line and poor planning. After receiving bids from a couple of companies, Homefix came in cheapest. With being 'Best in the Springs' and having top rating, who wouldn't choose them? I found out why they were cheapest, it's because they underbidded and it actually came out at the same amount as others. Now, 6 months later they are not returning my phone calls to fix my hand rail that wasn't installed and the iron balusters that spin around. I had knee surgery and actually put some weight on the hand rail and it came off the post. Luckily I didn't use all my weight and was able to catch myself and not fall down the stairs. There is only 4 small nails holding the handrail to the post, doesn't see very sturdy. So much for that 5-year warranty.

Called in May to get a quote to redo the bathroom. The office staff was really nice. Jerry came out to take measurements and said we would receive a quote within a few days. 3 weeks later we get an email stating he can't do the job as he is too busy. I understand being busy but say so in the first place as it was a waste of both of our times. Am taking our bathroom and now kitchen remodel to a place that actually wants our business.

I took a day off for an estimate, and apparently I didn't hear the guy knock at the door. 12 minutes after my appointment time I called and found out the guy had been here but couldn't come back today. I'd have to take another day off work. I didn't even receive a call, despite the guy saying he could hear someone inside. I don't know how this estimate was supposed to go down of the guy is so tightly scheduled that 12 minutes makes the difference.

Led me to believe they would be providing an estimate on handyman work; and then said after two working days they were too booked to actually bid on the job. This is interesting since they are still on Angie's List offering a general contractor for a day for $599. Instead of just initially telling me they're not interested in doing the work they had me wait for them to come by for an estimate when they apparently had no intention of doing the work. When the estimator came by I told them there was no rush on the estimate since we were in no hurry for the work and had two time frames in mind; sometime before July 7th (which we doubted was possible) and then sometime after 1 Sept 2016 which we thought was most probable. Today (June 21, 2016) they told us they were too booked to take on our job. Logically that means they won't be able to do any jobs until after August 2016. What this means for anyone purchasing their deal through Angie's List is an interesting question. Basically, they appear to be a company that is not honest with potential clients and I'm amazed Angie's List still lists them.

I have used Griff and Homefix many times. As we built our house, we used them to finish up our trim work. Just last week I had him repair some drywall that was damaged from above, and you can't even see where the holes were. It's hard to match texture on drywall. And he can do commercial renovations as well. This summer I had him remove a doorway, and add a new doorway in my new Farmers Insurance office. Not completely terrible. I hired this company to do several repairs on my house; a fence extension, simple drywall repair, and install a new screen door. The estimation was 1 day for everything, it took 6 days total. The fence is phenomenal but they never informed me of the extra money to stain the fence. The technician simply asked what color I wanted. The invoice had a very large charge for the stain. The company did not call and confirm digging locations and cut my DSL cable on the first day of the job. The dry wall is "repaired" but wasn't blended well and you can very easily see the outline of the patch. The screen door was never replaced. The technician put new screen on the old door and put that up. Which is great for the screen but half the problem was that the screen door didn't slide. So I have new screen material but the door still doesn't slide so it's useless. I'm not sure if I would use this company again. The fence is great, the estimator was incredibly prompt and polite. But the quality of work left a lot to be desired.

I have known Griff/HOMEfix for the past three months and it is based upon my relationship with him and his team through multiple home improvement projects that I offer my observations. A wood-pecker damaged the siding of my house leaving a significant hole. I called HOMEfix for a solution, and they came to my residence the same day for an honest and fair estimate. Within about a week's time, the hole was repaired and looked as if nothing ever happened! A job well done!! We obtained bids from four contractors. Homefix was not the cheapest, but they were the most professional and impressive from the start. They made a HUGE project as painless as possible. We primarily worked with Bryan Munson, the production manager, and Ben Wilder, our project foreman. They were both outstanding! Ben managed the daily work and kept everything running very smoothly. He and every worker were respectful of us and our home. When everything was completed and Bryan did our final walk-through, he noticed the smallest things that he wanted touched up or corrected. Very impressive! In approximately three months, we had great new living space in our basement and two beautifully updated bathrooms. Even with a few change orders, the project came in at budget also. We are so glad we chose Homefix and we highly recommend them to everyone!

They retiled my laundry room and installed electric floor heat, repaired a section of my bathtub wall, and installed some flooring in my garage attic so I could use it for storage. Homefix completed a major kitchen renovation on our home earlier this year. They were great to work with, from start to finish. We needed to keep the cost low, so they worked with us, allowing us to do some of the work (demo, painting), as well as suggesting lower-cost options for material and finishes. Of the three estimates we got for the work, theirs was by far the lowest. The completed project looks terrific. We are very pleased with the result. It was done on time and on budget. There were only a few minor hiccups along the way, which was less than I expected. The Homefix personnel were prompt, professional, courteous, and easy to work with. We would recommend Homefix without hesitation.

The work was done in a timely manner and the Handyman doing the work was knowledgeable, efficient and wonderful to work with. The work that needed to be done was accurately visualized at estimate and was accomplished exactly as estimated with quality materials (pressure treated lumber & flooring material). Interacted with Gino, Chris, and Rachel. (Sorry if spelling is off) In that order. Gino did the estimate, Chris did a lot of follow up and the actual work, and Rachel I spoke with on the phone. All three of these folks provided a positive experience and demonstrated professionalism and a strong desire to connect and make sure good work was getting done, in a timely manner. There is a minimum fee for work which they work to make sure is met with actual work and not just the fee itself. It was 500 and may be 1000 now but I could be mistaken on both those numbers. But i do believe this does establish you as a "regular" and may not be the process every time you have work done. (Not sure though) They worked with my insurance claim to make sure I wasn't getting screwed by my deductible as well. Work done over the last year or so by Chris: -Interior fence rebuild and paint -Range vent exterior vent installed -Exterior fence posts and rails replaced -Two door exterior fence gate re-secured -Other misc. items. -Ryan (My goal as a reviewer is to provide folks that are just coming into town a place they can trust with their business. Ive already experienced some of the good, bad, and ugly in this town, and homefix is the excellent.)

Our basement flooded in early spring. From repairing the dry wall, to texturing and painting the walls, the team was professional and did a fantastic job. Overall I am not thrilled with my experience. The job got done but there were some hurdles to get to that point. There are still some paint issues that need to be handled, but to be honest I just don't want to deal with them so I never informed them of that, I am going to do it myself. I will be going to another contractor when I get to completing the remainder of my basement.

HomeFix did an incredible job updating my home, The major components of which were a full master bath remodel and a stacked stone fireplace. The quality of the job is outstanding. Every individual who came into my house was friendly and professional. In fact, they left the house neater and cleaner then they found it. Home fix is professional, efficient, timely, and quick to acknowledge if they cannot repair an item evaluated by the estimator. Jessie was simply terrific, and on leaving a parking area, could not have seen a neighbor's low-lying driveway light; he repaired and replaced within 24 hours, doing so better than the initial installation. Our neighbor was most impressed and hired Homefix for her projects. Homefix may not be the least expensive option for home repairs, but they surely are the best.

Renovations and repairs are chaotic. There are no two ways around that. So, that’s why my husband and I decided to do several projects at the same time to minimize the disruption to our home and lives. Homefix was our natural choice to rely on to oversee these projects. We have worked with Homefix many times before and we knew we could count on them to use the time efficiently and to get the multiple projects done as quickly as possible and to our specifications. When in the midst of doing the projects we decided to “add-on” some additional requests, they worked with us to quickly revise the price and estimate the timetable. Bryan Munson and Bryan Bunting were always quick to answer my questions and get me info. But all of that would have been forgotten if the subcontractors they used had not been excellent. Luckily for us, they were! Jesse Lynch (St. Joseph’s Plumbing) was super impressive. He removed all of our Polybutylene piping in the house and replaced it with PEX and ran a gas line to our kitchen all in two days. Bryan, the incredible third-generation drywaller Homefix uses, patched all the holes made in our walls so the PEX could be connected as required by code. He, with help from his nephew, completed and textured the new wall built to enclose our loft. Kevin and Steven from J2D Electric Inc. installed outlets, lights and smoke/CO detectors around our home, even though they had to climb around in our attic, blown with insulation. Kevin installed a new panel to our home so that we now have enough power to someday finish our basement without causing blown circuits, etc. He was an expert problem solver and his expertise gave us complete confidence. I was nervous that our electricity would be out overnight, but Kevin stayed well past “normal duty hours” to get the panel up and waited until Colorado Springs Utilities had juice flowing to it again. Lastly, Chris from Limitless Painting, made our walls and ceilings look fresh and whole again. He was not satisfied with just throwing on a coat of paint, but went back over it several times to make the patches blend away and have the lines run straight and clean. He was great about asking for daily feedback to ensure he was making our home look exactly as we envisioned it. Not only were these professionals knowledgeable, and hard-working, they were personable and friendly. We truly felt we could trust them in our home. We really enjoyed getting to know them and they almost made us forget about the chaos, dust and insanity that goes along with renovations…almost ;-)

These ranged from Fixing up the insulation in my basement, repairing a ceiling mounted light, masonry work, tile re-grouting, to drywall repair. Homefix recently helped us remodel the upper level of our house. Griff was incredibly professional and I was very impressed with how flexible they were. We wanted to do part of the remodel ourselves, and they worked with us to let us do the parts we thought we could handle and they also jumped in and rescued us when we decided we didn't have the skill we though we did! The work was done fast and very good quality. We will use them in the future for any of our construction needs! Update 6/11: We had our home inspected this week and the home inspector said our exterior paint job was one of the best he’s ever seen. He said typically house painters just don’t take the care and attention that was taken with our home

Their employees are the equivalent of children with daddy's tools. Multiple projects had to be redone because the workers simply did not have the knowledge of the work they were attempting to do. The people you deal with initially (Griff, Brian) sell you on this amazing work and make all these promises, but the supervisor was rarely present, there were multiple days when NO ONE showed up. They were unresponsive and when they did respond they were less than pleasant to deal with. They say they guarantee their work but every time they "fixed" something, first they tried to cast blame on us, but if they did fix it we were just left with another half-finished result. Ultimately we were just sick and tired of dealing with them. We will most likely end up spending thousands more (paid ~$20k) to fix the work they attempted. Also, they say they'll clean as they go, but they made a mess even on work they had just completed and we ended up having to do most of the cleaning ourselves. Pics show their awful trim, grout, and spackle work. Save yourself a lot of money and frustration and look elsewhere. Edit: Had them in my house more than once to fix things they did wrong. Griff offered to come by yet again, but I would not trust this company to set foot on my property again nor would I recommend this company to anyone for any project ever.

Great business. Home fix remodeled my basement this fall. They did a wonderful job. They were responsive, Timely, respectful. Every day they showed up on time, and if someone was running late they always give me a call or text. Jesse was the foreman and he was very respectful, cleaned up everyday, did preventive maintenance to make sure things are clean like putting rosin paper down, and putting up plastic so the whole house did not get Dusty. I would definitely hire home fix again. And luckily they finished ahead of schedule. Plus, when I got crazy and decided to put a rock wall in my basement they more than happy to get crazy with me

Had a hole in the dry wall above a sliding glass door. Homefix came out and did a free estimate and was by far cheaper then the other alternatives. However, cheap work is last thing I received on the work. The work that was performed was done PERFECTLY!!!! The drywall is perfectly done. You can't even tell where the hole was except for the putty. (painting it myself). I would highly recommend this guys for anything that comes up. Would give them more stars if I could.

Beautiful design, wonderful shower pan, shower tile was set on gypsum board instead of the industry standard concrete board. Unfortunately that last fact blows the whole deal. Be sure they include a supply list with the bill, also an industry standard they neglected. Fine for slum lords but if you want a truly good job go someplace else.

House was reproofed before I bought the house in September and failed inspection. The only reason I know this is that I was home when the inspector was here. After a couple of months I checked the permit and it had not been fixed. When I called them they had no idea that it had not passed. About a month later a person came out and worked on the roof. It is March and I just checked the permit again and the roof has still not been inspected. They did react to my call but no one called me to tell me someone was coming out to work on the house, and I am still not sure if the gutters were replaced. No one seems to know or if they do let me know. Still waiting!

Short review: 3 appointments made, 3 appointments missed, no calls received. Long review: I called and explained my need for an actual cash quote as we are in a unique insurance situation. I was assured that they would be able to do that and an appointment was setup. Dennis showed up, but did not perform the quote. I again explained the situation, and that I would need an ACTUAL dollar amount quote for this. He assured me that they could do that and that he had a ladder with him. He then proceeded to walk around the house, get on the deck and look at part of the roof, and told me I should just call the insurance adjuster and have whoever I was going to go with show up at that time. I explained, now a third time, that I needed an actual dollar amount quote. He told me he could do that, but would just have to come back the next day. Extremely frustrating, but fine. Next day comes, no Dennis. No call. I finally call and see what happened. Not even a decent excuse, just got busy and decided to not call to let me know and instead left me hanging... for a week. I ask again, can we get this done, and again he told me that he'd show up the next Monday. Again I wait on Monday and again no one shows up. Again, no one calls. While I could continue, it boils down to this... I'm just really disappointed in the entire thing. The positive reviews here show that they do good work, but the negative reviews are spot on... appointments don't seem to matter. I don't get it, how do you keep a business going when you are actively refusing to do business with people? For what it's worth, I hear the owner is extremely nice, and if I put forth the effort to escalate this up to him, chances are it'd get taken care of quickly. I shouldn't have to do that though. Time to continue searching for a reliable roofer.

We have used HomeFix for two large projects - first, to replace roof/skylights and make repairs to other exterior damage from last year’s monster hailstorms; and more recently, to replace several windows, tear down and replace a wooden privacy fence, and tear out an old wooden deck and replace it with new composite materials. That’s a wide range of projects but HomeFix handled everything in an extremely competent, timely, and efficient manner. Everyone we encountered was friendly and responsive; calls were returned promptly; workers showed up on time and ready to work; minor issues or concerns were taken seriously and addressed very quickly — great service all the way, from the first phone call to the final inspection. I recently had Homefix blow in insulation to the R-60 rating in my attic in a tri-level home. I knew that I would save money just by increasing the amount of insulation that I had because the insulation was very shallow and in some areas it was nonexistent. In the half a month that we had the insulation in our ceiling, we saved about $50.00 off our expected $280 - $300 bill. I was very please with the saving and expected to save $600 over the period of a year. When I got my most recent bill for utilities, which was for an entire month I was totally shocked. For the month of February out utility bill was $159.00. That is almost half of our expected bill. Needless to say, I am a firm believer in adding insulation to an attic to R-60. It will save you a lot of money. The team of installers are extremely professional and will work around your schedule. They won't tell you that you will save this kind of money, but I will tell you that you will if you have little or no insulation in your attic. It is money well spent and will pay for itself very quickly. We are now very comfortable in our home and have no cold rooms. I highly recommend adding insulation to your home and using this very professional company. Homefix is the best!.
