Recently we had our driveway replaced by Flat & Fancy Concrete. This is the third driveway in 15 years at this residence. Eight years ago, we had another concrete company replace our original drive way because they were the low bid. Flat & Fancy Concrete was the high bid. We chose the low bid, which was $800 less than Flat & Fancy. Now we are paying twice what we paid eight years ago to get it right. Flat & Fancy does what they say they are going to do without cutting corners. They used re bar and quality concrete because they knew we had expansive soil problems in the past. There was three minor issues after the job was completed that I wanted to have them address. The owner Ray Beresford responded as soon as he could and quickly resolved those issues to my satisfaction. You cannot ask for better customer service. Ray oversees everything and follows up on his employee's work by personally contacting his customers after the job is complete. I have learned my lesson when it comes to using the low bid contractor. I would recommend Flat & Fancy to my friends and family. That says a lot about Ray Beresford and Flat & Fancy Concrete.

Wow! When Flat & Fancy was asked to exercise their artistic skill they knocked it out of the park. The old orthogonal (90 degree structure) was transformed into a driveway with flair complemented with a serpentine walkway all enhanced with a 3D effect... using a dark gray border. Stunning!

Flat and Fancy concrete is top notch in quality, customer service and getting the job done right. We have used them twice this year. Ray and his crew really pay attention to detail and work well together to provide great results. Our first project was a stamped concrete patio under a pergola. The second was custom built forms with rebar and concrete for a wall. I dug under my crawl space to make it a basement. A lot of concrete companies would not consider doing that. Ray and his crew made it happen. They also poured a new basement floor. You will not be disappointed in the workmanship and quality of Flat and Fancy concrete. I would recommend them to anybody. Outstanding service and a high quality outcome! We had Ray replace our 850 sq ft wooden deck with decorative concrete. We did the deck removal and some prep work ourselves and he was very easy to coordinate with. His prices were fair and we ended up replacing our deck at less than the cost of premium composite. Ray's team is friendly and hard working. He was on time and on budget. He communicated in a clear and timely manner. Customer service proved to be a high priority for him. We could not have had a better experience!

In Colorado Springs, Flat & Fancy is second to none for craftsmanship, durability, aesthetics, and professional service. I requested three quotes for a driveway and front stoop overhaul. Of the three quotes, Flat & Fancy was the highest by $550. This did not deter me from pursuing Flat & Fancy, however. My primary concern is durability, longevity, and prompt customer service. After reading several of the reviews for other concrete companies, it become clear that Ray (the owner) and his crew operate on a completely different level. Having personally worked for a concrete company in the past that prided itself on the same metrics as Flat & Fancy, I can honestly say that Flat & Fancy is an admirable business that prides itself on customer service and craftsmanship. Leading up to the project, Flat & Fancy kept me informed of possible weather-related delays and project related information. On the day of the project, Ray arrived promptly with his crew, briefed me on the project, then oversaw the operation. Ray and his crew are consummate professionals. Ray's crew were courteous, respectful, and extremely hard working. My expectations were exceeded. To summarize, Flat & Fancy should be your #1 choice if you desire quality work and professional service. Sure, it's slightly more expensive than the competitors, but in my opinion well worth it. Read the reviews of the other concrete companies (especially as it relates to customer service) and you will likely come to the same conclusion as I did.

I called and set a date to have part of our driveway replaced. It was crumbling due to water erosion. The owner came out and talked to us about what he thought was needed, gave us a reasonable written quote along with a bit of info about his company and their goals. The company came when we expected them, replaced the concrete as expected. The work was done quickly, professionally and very well. The company also followed up because we had really bad weather moving in and the work needed to be covered and uncovered properly. Left us with the product needed to protect the work. Followed up again and answered all remaining questions. I would highly recommend them and would use them again.

I initially had high hopes that Flat and Fancy's concrete work would turn out great after numerous conversations with the owner about our needs and expectations. Sadly, the quality of finish has fallen far short of expectations. The finish work is sloppy in places, water pools in random locations and runs back to the the house in other locations - this was the whole reason we tore out the existing patio and replaced it! I was told that getting the water to run in the correct direction would be easy, and it should be...basic physics! Numerous cracks are showing up after only a year. Very disappointed!

On this last job, even though they state in their contract they are not responsible for damage to existing sprinkler systems, they came out and repair some minor damage.
