500 square feet of pavers, a French drain, and short retaining well - the final product looks great. This took 5 months from February-June 2019. Luckily we were not in a hurry. Everyone working for Dakine was friendly when I went out to talk or ask questions. Workers often came and left without letting us know beforehand or knocking on our front door. There were several details that would have been missed had I not spoken up. Those heading up the project didn’t always communicate details with the people doing the work. Customer service improved towards the end with a switch to Donovan managing the job. We had a small drainage issue a month after the project was finished. Dakine came out to fix it within a couple of weeks of me reaching out to Donovan and Robert. I really appreciate a company that stands by their work.

DaKine Custom Landscaping came out to my house to redesign and landscape my front yard. Donovan was filled with inspiration and expertise as he imagined what could be. When his crew was sent out to the house they were very friendly and professional. They answered all my questions and did not hesitate to ask me questions as it pertained to the job they were performing. Within the course of only a few days we watched our front yard's complete makeover unfold as it turned into something beautiful ... something we could be proud of. I asked for few plants, lots of rock and a total budget of $3,500. Dakine walked the yard with me, then sent a proposal for $9,441 that included 121 plants and oddly, a stone walkway that I did not request. The worst part? I sent them a respectful email with corrections (suspecting a mistake) they did not respond. I called to say I would consider a revised plan and they offered a vague explanation--but they never sent a new plan. Cricketts. Guess that's their way of saying they don't want my business.

We contacted Dakine Landscaping for help with a rather large project - new sod (front & rear) 12 new shrubs, mulch (front & rear) and a flagstone walkway install. Robert gave us a great design for the backyard sod and walkway. He suggested a gorgeous flagstone that we chose to use. Dakine’s crew took care of all this in a timely manner (one week) for removal & install. The crew – Ryan, Miles and a few others were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Did I mention HARDWORKING? I was amazed at the pace they kept and the clean-up was perfection. Throughout the project, the owner (Donavon) was eager to see that the work was satisfactorily completed. They used top grade materials and installed a drainage system for the new grass that we didn’t even know we needed. The finished product is amazing. We are very happy with the work that was done on our front & back yards. We would use DAKINE LANDSCAPING for our future needs.

Dakine's work, in my opinion, is less than professional quality. We found it to be very costly when one pays Dakine's original construction costs and then consequently have to pay another contractor to fix the prior landscaper's (Dakine) work. The fact-of-the-matter is Dakine did not follow Eldorado Stone's installation manual or adhere to masonry professional standards during construction process. Dakine constructed a 6' CMU/manufactured veneered stone privacy wall, fire pit and seating area around the pit. They constructed the privacy wall without first obtaining a soil's test or a structural engineering report to assure the stability of their 6' tall CMU freestanding wall. According to our structural engineer, the wall lacks appropriate footings to support the weight and height of the wall. Additionally, the wall was capped haphazardly and the flagstone used was not evenly placed across the top of the wall as to display a flat finished professional product. Furthermore, the stone caps on the top of the wall were broken during the construction process and left as the finished product. Currently, as the photos display, water is now moving through the CMU and degrading the mortar used in the construction process. Finally, the structures were erected without proper drainage figured into the mix. When we confronted Donavon and Robert about the named construction issues well before Dakine's one-year warranty period expired, they refused to honor their documented work guarantee. These photos were taken less than 6 months after Dakine Landscaper Contractors completed our project.

Robert was super nice and knowledgeable and immediately had design ideas. There estimate was fast and affordable. We had an Italian slate stamped and concrete patio installed along with a stone fireplace and fire pit with a paver patio around it. There pricing was right in the middle of the three estimates we got but we choose Dakine because of there professionalism and constant communication. Through the course of the job the foreman and Robert stayed in constant contact with me to ensure everything was progressing and the finished product was even more beautiful then I expected. I would recommend Dakine to any and everyone for any type of landscaping.

When I moved into my new house in January, the front landscaping was literally just dirt. I had three companies come out to give me an estimate. The only guy who actually had an immediate vision was Robert at Dakine. He was instantly giving me suggestions while listening to what we wanted and didn’t want. Dakine not only had the most creative design but they were also the most reasonable quote we received. We signed the paper work and it was done 2 1/2 weeks later. Really friendly hardworking crew who was always transparent with what they would be doing that day. It looks amazing! We’ve received countless compliments from neighbors who had to stare at dirt for the past however many years.
