DESCRIPTION

Here you will be able to see the reviews of people who are using the services of BluSky Restoration Contractors (Contractor) near to the state of Colorado.

Currently the business has a rating of 2.5 out of 5 and that rating was based on 24 reviews.

As you can read, the average score it has is scarce, and it is based on a high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the rating is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.

As you know, we do not usually bother to put evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

This Contractor corresponds to the category of Water damage restoration service.

I wouldn't recommend this company.... my complaint is that we had a condo below a condo where there was a water leak... the management company for our building called and had us speak to the restoration company, they painted a picture of disaster - cabinets needed to be removed, drywall pulled and replaced, painting, etc., etc... so we drove 300 miles round trip instantly to check out the damage... and there was barely any water to be found. This was so frustrating. The restoration/remediation world is an interesting one. My suggestion for everyone would be to ask an hourly rate and how long it'll take for restoration efforts. Keep in mind that many restoration companies give pretty high kickbacks for referrals, often $500-750 per referral to a plumber or property manager (I know, I used to manage the Arizona Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association)... so if you're going to hire someone, do it directly and write an addendum to the contract that they aren't paying referral fees to anyone.

Not very transparent on how they price the work they do. I'm still in evaluation mode of these guys and we will see if I move forward with them.

I originally contracted with Blusky, at the time the company was called Disaster 1, in May 2013. Blusky was hired to repair several townhomes after a fine At the time the we're in the Nationwide insurance vendor program because the provided a 5 year warranty on work the performed on insurance claim. Blusky is no longer in this program because of results like kind I'm experiencing. After 5 years of terrible work, several BBB complaints and constant fighting with them, and after I had to threaten to contact the NC Attorney General and hire a lawyer they finished a punch list, collected the remaining fee and issues me a 5 year warranty effective u til mid 2023 (not sure of the exact dates at the moment). I have been calling and emailing them since Feb 23 2019 with no response. I have emailed Jon Easy and Tim Lednum. I called to confirm I had the correct email addresses and that they still worked for the company. I sent emails on Feb 23 2019 and March 27 2019. I called the Greensboro office and the Denver headquarters and haven't received any return correspondence. I need some work done on the townhomes and they won't respond

Terrible work, They were recommended through my insurance, They bid a water leak job for about $4500.00. They were never allowed to finish the job because they were not showing up. However billed the insurance over $20 k . After a long drawn out process they ended up with $1400.00 for actual work that they had done. STAY AWAY!

Was driving in front of one of their vehicles that was listed as “Blusky Environmental” except that it was a giant truck that was tail-gating and also had their high beams on. So not only are they making people feel insecure on the highway, but they’re also blinding 90% of the drivers in front of them. Not a good way to represent a company. I’m writing this review so that I can remember their treatment of strangers.

My experience with BluSky has been a mixed one, which is why they received a 2 star rating. When we had a massive water leak above our condo, BluSky was there to act quickly. They suggested we vacate our condo immediately and had dehumidifiers and fans in the condo within an hour. Other restoration contractors said they would be back the following day because there was nothing to be done. I think their quick action likely saved us lots of additional costs for drywall repairs. The drywall repairs were done about 10 days after the flood and the clean-up was acceptable (I don't expect our condo to be immaculate after having drywall repairs done). We did have the drywall contractors come out to do some minor touch-ups, which was not a hassle. With that said, it was after the restoration was partially complete that repairs began to drag on. We had our entire closet strewn about our living room, so delays and lack of communication was not acceptable. Countless times we would go days without an update from BluSky. On several occasions we scheduled to get our carpet replaced only to have the appointment pushed back the following week. This likely added an additional week to 10 days to the restoration time frame. Regarding the carpet, we were assured a comparable quality carpet would be installed to replace our old, stained one. BluSky even came over to get a sample to try to match. I was mildly shocked when I came home after the new carpet was installed to see a dark tan carpet installed in my closet. It's something I will have to live with, so I chose to not complain. Now, a few months after the restoration I'm seeing significant lifting in the carpet around the entry way and on the outside wall. Pieces of carpet are coming loose and littering my floors. The say this carpet was cheap and poorly installed is a big understatement. All-in-all I would not recommend BluSky for restoration and instead use another company to do the repairs.

So I'm a bit upset I agree with Dtc central if it wasn't the for Anthony nothing would get finished he kept working nonstop as making it a team effort my company had an emergency flood and we then carried on requesting Anthony for the job apparently he's no longer employed ... so good luck with future service these stars are for Anthony

BluSky is doing abatement, restoration and rebuild project for our commercial property. So far, I have been very impressed with everyone I have worked with from BluSky. They are very professional, efficient, courteous, real great communicators and do excellent work! I would strongly recommend BluSky for any restoration projects. I have had used similar services from other contractors when I used to live in Georgia and BluSky is far superior! BluSky billed us for the first portion of work only and was willing to give us extended time in paying the first bill in case the insurance company was not timely with sending out the check. BluSky waited until the abatement work was completely done and we were completely satisfied with the work before billing us and gave us additional 30 says to pay. However, we did get the check from insurance three weeks prior to the bill being due! All this happened because the BluSky estimator was great working with our insurance adjuster for getting everything rolling as soon as possible.

Did trust this guy. Doesn't pay his bills and stiff you in a second!

glenn beaton

These guys are grossly incompetent, uncaring, unreliable and borderline criminal. They literally did more damage than they fixed. They demolished tens of thousands of dollars of property on their untested theory of what the problem was (a theory that later proved wrong) and they damaged art work and then tried to conceal the damage rather than report it. I would not use them again under ANY circumstances, and would not trust them near my belongings.

Richard Koss

They don't pay their subcontractors, we did a job for them in July, it's now November, no one will return my calls, have to file a lien against the homeowners property we worked at. Stay away

We went with BluSky because they were the preferred contractor for our insurance company. We had a 1,300 foot rental house that had water damage from a broken line to the swamp cooler. The entire ordeal of having Blu Sky do the restoration work lasted six months. Kemper ended up paying us 3 months of rent/utilities as they agreed six months was an unreasonable amount of time for the work needed. I leave you with one question. What would you think of a company brought in to repair damage from a water line leak, but 'forgets' to repair the broken water line?

Doug Gray

After doing a large scale job$40,000 for Blu sky over 4 months ago I am still not paid , The response from them is to hang up the phone on you . Do you really want to use a contractor who does not pay their subcontractors? There are many good companies that do pay their contractors go with another, big company big budget big talk NO MONEY! Just a bunch of crooks in new building with a lot of new trucks ! How do you think they pay for that? with the little guys money they don't pay them?
