My oven caught fire on Wednesday July 3, 2019. I called ServiceMaster by Smith that day and never heard back from them. I called back on Friday July the 5th because of the holiday and an agent Mary called me back and we set up an appointment for Monday the 8th at 9:30am. Mary called at 9am on Monday, the day of the appointment, and said she was going to be a little late, that she hadn’t left Benton yet, Oh she said by the way did I mention to you that there would be a service fee to give us an estimate and I said NO she said it would be $187. I asked her if insurance covers that and she mumbled and said she wasn’t sure but if they do we would have to get it back from the insurance because we would be responsible to pay it that day. We said no thank you and cancelled and she said ok and
hung up!!
I had also called SERVPRO and they called immediately right back and came Friday the 5th, arrived before time, took her notes and is also dealing with our insurance. Oh and by the way they didn’t charge us a service fee for their estimate!!!
When your going through something tragic kindness and compassion goes a long way!!
