Our roof was so bad that our insurance company was going to cancel our policy. I called Acumen and spoke to Rick. He walked me through the options available and gave us a very competitive price. We had our roof done in 2 days and the clean-up was great. We love our new roof and have been getting many compliments on it. I would highly recommend Acumen to anyone.

The only reason there is one is because it won't post u unless you chose at least a 1 . Not at all happy, will not recommend to anyone we know, Did not put up the drip guard, even after being show and told what we wanted they did what they wanted, guess the customer does not come first with them

Rick did a fabulous job in finding and repairing a leak in our sun room roof. We had been struggling with this for way too long - Rick came by, assessed the problem, waited for the rain to make sure he found exactly where the problem was - repaired and coated the roof. He worked quickly and was always on time. So glad to have that checked off the list of things to do and should we have any other roof issues - I wouldn't hesitate to call Acumen or to recommend them to friends and family. Great work at a fair price

They took care of all the details,starting with dealing with the insurance company to finding the right materials to complete the job. They kept us updated on the status of the work and completed all the repairs on time. It was a pleasure working with this company and I can’t say enough how thankful I am for all the work they did for us. I have been telling all my friends and neighbors about them and I’m sure if we need their services again in the future, I’ll be calling them to work for me again. I would recommend not wasting your time with this company, all I got was empty promises. Caveat emptor. I contacted Acumen Contracting for some roof repairs and Rick Poe showed up on April 16th to look at the work I needed done and give me an estimate. After a few minutes of talking Rick appeared to have a good understanding of what I wanted done, I gave him my insurance claim estimate, and he left with the understanding he would get back to me soon with his repair estimate. By this time, after talking with Rick, I had pretty much made up my mind if his estimate was reasonable I would probably go with him because I liked his approach to the work. I gave him a couple of weeks to work on the estimate as it was going to require some outside resources. I called him on April 27th and inquired about the estimate status. He informed me one of his contractors hadn't submitted a bid yet but he would get it to me early the following week. May 18th I called again to inquire about status and only got a voicemail. I left a message inquiring again if I would get an estimate soon or should I just cross him off the list. I ask for a return call either way he decided. It's May 30th and I still haven't heard from Rick and am very disappointed as I thought I had finally found a stand-up contractor. Acumen missed out on this job because they didn't have the professional courtesy to treat their customers respectfully and courteously. Acumen was definitely the lead contender on this bid, I had cash in hand for the job, all it would have taken to get the work is a little communication and respect.

This company replaced the roof at our house. FIRST, the did not do an accurate assessment of the job prior to installing the roof to notice a piece of flashing missing so when they installed the roof, they ran a nail right through an air conditioner hose in the middle of summer so we were out ac. Then, when called, they came and checked it out and we had to pay for a new hose because they didn't notice the flashing missing and said it was our responsibility. Fast forward to a good storm, and we notice the fireplace leaking a substantial amount of water. Call them again, they sent a guy out, he looked at it and said we had to screw it down although it did not leak before they did the roof. So, the old man climbs up there to look and notices they never even sealed it back down and there is no telling how much damage has been caused now. How can you tell a customer that they have to screw something down when it is your fault is leaking? Had the home owner call this time and some one is supposed to be out tomorrow to "inspect it" again. We shall see!
