Highly disappointed! The tech that came out (Ron) was amazing. His customer service, thoroughness and professionalism was impeccable. As for the company, we feel scammed and taken advantage of based upon what we were charged. I called to get an itemized receipt for accounting purposes, I was told they couldn't provide that information. I asked how much was labor per hour, they could not provide it to me and that everything was based on a flat rate. I asked who could I call to find out the information, they could not provide me with a contact person either. We were quoted and paid $548.70 for a blower relay, (through personal research after the fact) the part only cost est $70; so basically we were scammed into paying $478.00 in labor for a job that took less than an hour. Although Ron gets 5 stars; the company gets "0". We were planning to sign a maintenance contract with them to service our units, but having been scammed out of so much money, we have decided to look elsewhere.

A drain line was plugged on my guest house and the pan inside was full. The Tech planned to use air and blow it from the outside, but I suggested a snake. He did not have one. Good thing I did as it worked perfectly! A simple 25 foot unit that attaches to a drill would be a good thing to carry on the A/C service trucks.

My unit is now working properly and I was convinced to purchase a Gold Plan, to help the air function correctly. Mr Tran was also pleasant to talk with, he explained every move what he was doing and the importance and purpose of it. I truly appreciate the time he took to explain. AMAZING! I would like to thank the nice folks over at Hobacia. They came and serviced our units did a good job. We then had a second problem a few months later with the same unit, and they came and we were out about 2 weeks past warentee date and they waved the fees for our company. They seen our unit was froze up and went picked up parts and fixed us the same day. Grant has been to my business 2 times now and we ever need service i will call and request his service again. He had a helper this second trip named Simon who also did a great job.

Had a complimentary whole house plumbing inspection today and our tech, Gavin Wharton, definitely earned a 5 star review. We have had a minor, yet vexing issue with our kitchen sink for over a year now, and in less than 5 minutes Gavin had it fixed. We were both stunned. And very grateful! Gavin also fixed a major break in the PVC piping for an outdoor hose, all in addition to the plumbing inspection. Gavin listened to our concerns, looked everything over and gave us clear answers and a detailed report with cost estimates that we could look over before we decide on a course of action. Justin arrived within the window of my appointment time. Justin was professional and friendly. Justin quickly identified the problem. Not only did Justin explain the problem, he showed me why it was a problem. This provided me with confidence that my air conditioning unit was being fixed correctly. Our friend recommended that we use Hobaica and Wow! I’m so glad he did. Our ac unit started making a noise so loud that we thought it may wake the neighbors. We shut off that unit and called Hobaica. They offered same day or next day service. Gavin and Simon came out today (Saturday service) and I can not say enough about how impressed I am by both of them. They are both extremely knowledgeable, have integrity and great customer service. They listened to us and answered a lot of questions. I can tell they are proud to work for Hobaica and take great pride in what they do. Everything from the call & text on the way to our home, wearing booties over their shoes, explaining how our current units work, using their knowledge so we can make informed decisions (rather than trying to sell), providing us with a coupon, giving us a few promotional gifts (the wine thermometer is my favorite). Hobaica has a membership agreement which benefits their customers, not just the company. We joined and the discount given on our repair almost paid for the membership for an entire year. There are many benefits-check it out. Bottom line, this was the best money ever spent when we did not want to spend it! Having ac units which are 14 yrs old; we now have peace of mind because Hobaica will be able to help with ours and ultimately help us with new ones when the time comes. I had an amazing experience with Hobaica! I thought my AC went out a couple weeks ago and I had called Parker & Sons, they came out and were HORRIBLE, they just saw dollar signs, telling me I had a restriction in multiple valves, needed a new $4,000 coil and should just finance a new AC. They added some refrigerant to test the restriction. The next day a retired Hvac friend looked and said no, you need a clean and refrigerant and you have a leak. A week and a half later I saw Hobaica had the complementary second opinion, I called and set it up. Steven A. Came out and he was so friendly and professional. He agreed with our family friend, no restriction, he said our unit is fine, we did not have multiple valves so he is not sure why the previous tech would even say that. He did say a new unit would be good but he said the reason for our trouble is because he thinks there our issues with our air ducts. We live in a mobile home and he thinks something could have gotten under our home and knocked them lose. Some of our vents have no air coming through or very little coming through at all. Our AC unit is running fine. He was very professional, answered all my questions, and he even gave me a lot of information on resources for help with our electrical company to help with costs of getting this taken care of. Something that the other company never even thought of doing. He took the time to explain to me how everything works and his answers for my questions so I could better understand. I am a single mother between jobs and my father is technically disabled and this is a very expensive fix for us! I am so thankful I called Hobaica and I will continue to use them in the future for all our needs! Thanks again for being so helpful and patient with me! I appreciated it very much! If I could give 10 stars I totally would!

Chase replaced the capacitor quickly so that we could have cold air as it was 112 degrees outside. He then had video of duct joints leaking air from when we had our shingles replaced for a new roof. They lifted up our ac unit and did not seal it properly. Very pleased with the service.

I recently had contacted Hobaica to have a comfort specialist come to my home to discuss replacing our 5t heat pump on our 1st floor. Kyle came to the house and we discussed a few options and we agreed to a unit and installation date. Kyle was great b/c he understood the business very well, I "trusted" him and he provided me solid options and advice. On the day of the installation, a gentleman by the name of Ivan was our installer. This young man was incredible. He had amazing knowledge on dismantling and installing the new system, his work ethic was amazing.....he never stopped. Absolutely every single detail was considered from having a crane magically show up to remove the heat pump, to having a metal hauling company come pick up the old air handler at the curb. I am a detail fanatic and I literally walked the entire house and I could not even tell that Ivan was here b/c he was so neat. I then asked about the warranty, before he left, and he said....."we take care of all of that for you". This was literally a seamless process and I was truly amazed. This is the way professional HVAC guys operate. Well done Hobaica and team........well done!

Tom is a credit to Hobaica. Tom knows air conditioning. After looking at the Honeywell control he determine that the problem was the outside unit. Determined that the DC motor was the problem. Tom did not have a DC motor replacement, it was 4:00pm. He called around parts store. Found a DC motor in Phoenix. Mind you, it was pass 4:00pm,nevertheless Tom drove up to Phoenix pick up the motor drove back to Chandler and installed the motor. Problem fixed. Within minutes scoped out what materials and help he needed, saw that our recirculating pump also needed to be replaced and got to work. I received a call from Hobaica AC. The person on the other end was Darlene and she was fantastic! She didn’t make it a hard sell like so many other sell people do. Even though she was selling me on a tune up she treated like we have been friends. Her energy and charisma was contagious. I was able to actually visualize her smile and energy. It was such a pleasure to speak with her and purchase a tune up for my AC. I’m so glad I did My technician name was Stephen. He Arrived on time and he was very courteous upon arrival. Before he came into the house he put covers over his shoes which I thought that was awesome. He explained exactly what he was going to do. First he checked our thermostat and filter, he recommended that we should change our filter to the ones that are removed once a month, the filter we used was a washable type and it would bowed because it was getting sucked up into the air duck. He did not try to sell us anything that we didn’t need and he took the time to explain thermostats that we were asking about. He showed prices if we had them install the thermostat and all or just a price to install if we supplied our own thermostat. And he said if we tried it all we have to do is call them and we got stuck in they would come out for a service call for $99. He gave us a lot of options with no hard sale. I would recommend Hobaica AC To my family and friends because of the service that we received. It’s nice to be treated with dignity and respect that Steven showed us.

This is an excellent service. It was quick diagnosis and repair. The technician is skillful, reliable. I'm impressed he used shoes covers to enter inside my house. It's also a good idea when I was informed via text message of the technician + his portrait before the appointment. The first time using the HVAC service of Hobaica was more than I had expected. I wish Hobaica lower the initial service fee ($99) when coming for diagnose after the first time. That will make the customers nit hesitate to contact Hobaica in the next time after the first time. Generally, I recommend using this service.

Ted returned today to take a second look at an intermittent problem that was getting worse. He stuck with the problem and developed a plan to resolve the issue. I really appreciate his great attitude and resolve in focusing on a difficult problem. I look forward to seeing him again as we work through the issue. Upon receiving about 6 bids for installation of a new heat pump, and researching the various providers, I chose Hobaica Services, Inc. I have been a resident of AZ since 1965, and knew their name and reputation as well. Jorge and Ethan installed the new unit. They were polite, friendly, and completed the installation in a prompt manner. However, there was a problem which I discovered after they had left. I called the company the following morning and they returned and corrected the problem. However in making the correction, apparently a wire was dislodged and I called the company again. Andy Hobaica arrived (comfort expert ) promptly the following morning , found the problem and corrected it. However, there was an additional problem and the company promptly sent an expert to try to resolve a stain on the carpet. He was unable to correct it and James Hobaica, grandson of the founder, came out and was able to materially resolve the problem. I would have given a 5 star rating based on their handling of the problem, however, I deducted one star because of the problem. I can truly say I made the right decision to choose Hobaica as their attention to a customer problem was outstanding - in other words: I LikeA Hobaica. I don't know of any other company I have hired who sent the management team out, promptly, efficiently, and took ownership of the situation. I made a good choice!!!!

Today he returned with one additional part which completed the repair, and by the time he left, the thermostat display was better than it had been for over a week (there were no false readings, and the outside temperature was displayed correctly.

I had another company out for seasonal service. They tried to tell me we needed other repairs. After the second time in a row where this company tried to up-sell me, I thought I would give Hobaica a call to get their opinion on the repair as well as service a mini-split system we have in our garage. They told me the recommended repair from the previous company was not necessary and made sure everything was running correctly. Additionally, I'm a Realtor and they came out for a second opinion on relocating a condensing unit and re-running the lines for one of my clients. The quote we received from another company felt ridiculously high. Hobaica has a complementary second opinion service and after reviewing everything, their quote for the repair was just shy of half of the other company. I've had two really good experiences with Hobaica and I will continue to refer them to my clients for their HVAC needs.

The tech, his name Amer K, was wonderful! We have an older AC unit that is in great shape (we've had a maintenance plan with Hobaica for years) that takes R22. Amer informed me that R22 is being phased out and getting very expensive to buy and that at some point we'll need to consider getting a new AC unit (when something fails that is related to the R22 refrigerant) - but that we're good for now since our unit is in great shape.
