We are in the process of buying a 1958 home and Certified Roofing was chosen by the sellers to completely redo the flat roof. We negotiated for a new roof knowing that was the most costly expense of this older home. Certified Roofing spent 5 days on the job and as far as we were told, the project was completed successfully. However, my realtor and husband went on the roof after the project and found nearly 10 soft spots! The project was supposed to address and fix any residual damage under the roof to the main structure! I highly doubt these workers even inspected under the roof, let alone put new sheathing down. They said they would put new gutters on too, but there are none on the front of the house. This could kill the whole real estate deal because this company cannot seem to do a sound job. We should have demanded the seller pick from the THREE roofing companies we paid for estimates with. These other companies quoted between 20-50k in repairs, with one of the companies saying to completely walk away from the house! I do not recommend this company that has barely got its feet wet in the industry! We apparently cannot be told the cost of this repair for the sellers, but I can tell you, it was a band-aid fix. We got scammed!!!!!!!!!!
