American Roofing did a great job replacing our 2 story, very steep roof. Great communication, professional quote, lots of product data, showed up on time, crews were very courteous, professional, hard working, and used appropriate safety equipment. They replaced plywood over bad spots and over holes for mechanical vents we no longer needed. Completed the job including an excellent clean up in only 2 days. They didn't ask for a penny up front on a $15,000 job, and sent an invoice only after they had completed the job. I would recommended them to anyone needing a new roof.

Came out to look at my roof on time, nice person, said he would get my quote together and e mail it to me within 24 hours because as I told American roofing, " I'm in a hurry to get the job done, it is time sensitive." That was 6 days ago and I have not even received a phone call. As a result I called Liberty Roofing and they came out even went onto the roof to get a closer look, gave me a price in writing and scheduled the job for this Saturday. Customer service knowing how to do the job with cost and reliability are important when it comes to home repair.

I decided to call for a free estimate to replace some missing shingles at my home. They came out on time to provide an estimate. Estimate was reasonable. They worked as promised, alway very particular about the time and very courteous. American Roofing & Construction Company can give that 5-year guarantee on their labor because the owner, the foremen and each of their workers take pride in their work and are trustworthy, meticulous and dedicated to achieving perfection. I have been greatly pleased and impressed to find Raul Porto, owner & president of American Construction Company, and his crew to be exceptionally skilled in their knowledge and ability to perfectly complete the roofing jobs for me so expeditiously while also maintaining a clean work site. I have had many properties re-roofed and this roofing contractor is my go to. They just completed a large roof for a home in Saraland and it’s beautiful. They were very fast and left everything clean when they left. Used Timberline shingles and even replaced the rotten wood around the fireplace and in some places on the eaves. I contacted American Roofing on a whim before agreeing to work with a contractor who had installed a roof for me previously. I am thankful I did. First, I saved $1000 ($7600 v. $8600). Secondly, the warranty was better from this GAF-certified (Timberline) roofing contractor. Thirdly, the tear-off and installation was done in a timely manner - less than 2 working days by a noticeably competent crew. The estimator/expediter was onsite multiple times in those 2 days. Clean-up during the job and at the conclusion was all one could ask for - good. BTW - the 50-Year warranty (you read that right, 50) is assumable one-time. a great selling point. Recommended without reservation.

Raul E. Porto and his American Roofing & Construction LLC team did a superlative job in every respect. At the recommendation of my insurance agent, I had Fortified code roofing installed on my older home. Raul explained in detain the Fortified process, the reasons for materials to be used and coordinated with the Fortified evaluator to produce an excellent Bronze Certification result. I was fascinated by the skill and teamwork required to efficiently remove an old roof and install a new one. The finished product certainly enhances the appearance of my home. Conscious of aesthetics, they even painted the one vent that was not to be replaced so that it would match the rest of the new copper elements. That's attention to detail. After what is undeniably an untidy process, I was left with an astonishingly immaculate yard. My association with Raul and his team truly has been a pleasure.

I contacted American Roofing because of their excellent online reviews. I explained my situation to Raul Porto, who made the process very easy for me. Poor customer service. I Contacted Raul about checking my roof for leaks. He asked me to send pictures. I sent pic and he then said I have moisture. Which is true but I also have leaks. Informed me he will inspect my property but when I called to confirm, he wanted me to send more pictures because he have soooo many texts. I decided against sending additional pictures and he said he will need to see additional pics because he is really busy. Really?? He is in the roofing business but too busy to conduct roofing business. Why not tell me that when we first spoke. A simple “we are not accepting new clients at this time”, would have been sufficient. Its the weekend, I’m expecting American roofing on Monday and now I need to find another roofer to inspect my leak. I waisted valuable time that I really do not have dealing with this guy. Frustrating!!!
