I took my iPhone in to have the SIM drawer repaired. Geek Squad couldn’t fix it, This place fixed it within 3-5 minutes & didn’t charge me a thing. My 1st experience here was great! I highly recommend it. I also need to upgrade my current IMac. I probably will be coming here to do that. Thanks guys!

Very knowledgeable staff. The recent Apple update to Catalina had rendered some of the other programs inoperable. The Experimax folks noted that some of the other program and anti-virus software providers would not be ready for the Catalina software for another 3 weeks, and were able to dig through my MacPro to enable Catalina to operate smoothly until the others could catch up. All while I waited in store and they were still able to assist other walk-in customers with their questions and needs. Great service.

The folks at Experimac changed a battery in my iPhone 6S. I called first to ask about pricing and timing. They quoted me about an hour to install. I took it in later that week and asked about time again and they said about 30 minutes. It took them 20 minutes to complete. Price was exactly what they quoted me on the phone. The store was pleasant and the techs were friendly. Only recommendation I might suggest, and this is by no means a gripe or complaint, would be to discuss any other services they could have performed or perhaps asked me if I was having any other issues with my device they could help with. Otherwise, a very good experience and I would be glad to take other Apple devices there for service. It is really nice having an authorized Apple repair shop in the area.

I was distraught when my very expensive MacBook Pro died. Not only did they recover all of the data from my hard drive, which was completely fried, they also put in a new 1 TB hard drive. We went to go and get my phone fixed. The battery was dying quick and the phone wouldn't charge. They fixed it fast, and the staff was quite knowledgeable, but they BROKE my screen. So, we had to go back in and get it fixed (with a discount), but still a fair amount of money.

UPDATE from July Visit: My laptop was working fine up until around late February in which the screen they provided gave out. However, I called up the store and the display they ordered had a warranty. Returning for college Spring Break, I brought in my MacBook Pro and had it fixed for no cost. $0.00 for them to fix it, taking responsibility for the faulted part when it was not their own fault. Highly recommend this place as they truly have the consumer's needs in mind. Thank you again!

Directed by my service provider as a quick option to get a phone, I bought a IPhone 6+ back in November 2017 at Experimac at 86 Featherbed Ln in Winchester VA. The owner Shane sold me the 6+ giving me the green light that it was tested and they had a 90 day warranty on it. I was excited even tho the phone itself was $380.00 dollars. It wasn't even a week until the phone had problems with people hearing me on it. Of course they fix it right away. Then a month later I had problems with the speaker where I couldn't hear people. Of course they fix it right away. Then a month or so later I had battery problems. They fix it without charge. They my 90 day warranty went out. I paid out of pocket to get the charging port fixed in March 2018 and then in April I paid out of pocket to have the antenna fixed (twice). The last operation didn't fix my phone. Today I went in and talk to Shane to see if he could do something. He told me no, and that the IPhone 6+ is known to have lots of problems. So MY QUESTION IS WHY DID YOU SELL IT TO ME???! Why didn't you stop me from spending even more money on it?! I am out of 380.00 + whatever the repairs were. Ive been to this store 7-8 times to have my phone fixed. I'll never go again and I will tell everyone to stay way

I brought my phone to Experimac in Winchester to have the charging port replaced and I ended up paying them $70 to destroy my phone. My phone was fully functional, but I was only able to charge it with a wireless charger and this was inconvenient. I was told when I brought my phone in to them that this was a "simple fix" and after they ordered the part, it would take about an hour to repair. I was given no disclaimer that they could possibly ruin the entire phone. My experience was terrible from start to finish. I first went in and the guy said he ordered the part and would call when it came in. After a couple weeks of not hearing anything, I called, part was never ordered. So then another week goes by, part comes in, I take my phone to them and they replace the charging port. Got my phone back and it no longer could make calls or text. They tried to order a new part saying that the part was defective and I waited another 1 1/2 weeks for this new part to come in. They did give me a loaner phone during this period. Once they tried the new part and the phone still didn't function, they tried a few more fixes and nothing worked. I was told the phone was done for. I went back in to pick up my ruined phone and asked if I could get my $70 back for the repair, ya know since they did not repair my phone but instead destroyed it, and was told by the owner that he could not do this because they had put so much time into the so-called "repair." My suggestion to the owner and employees at this store, is that you should tell customers that there is a possibility of you ruining their phones, not repairing, and that if that happens you will not return their money spent. If I had known that this was possible, I never would have given you my phone. I would have continued wirelessly charging and using my functional phone. I paid you to destroy my property and I was never even told that could happen.

Only gave a 4 star because I had something simple to be done. I just needed a new battery for my iPhone. They did an excellent job and provided recommendations on maximizing battery life. I learned that I was charging it improperly, all the time when it was not in use. So much nicer to have it done nearby rather than having to drive to Fair Oaks or Reston to get it done at an Apple store.

I recently went to Experimac to have my battery replaced in my iPhone 6S. Everyone in the store was very friendly and helpful. My battery was replaced in a matter of a couple of hours and I have not had any issues since then. I later found out that Apple had a battery replacement program going on for qualified iPhone 6S's. Mine qualified and Apple reimbursed me the full amount I paid. Definitely was more convenient to have my batter replaced here in town and an all around better experience than driving miles to the Apple store. Will definitely be going to Experimac again for all my Apple product needs!

Shane, You have great techs working for you! They are polite, professional and honest. My iphone would not charge, the charging cord was loose in the port and not making a connection. Taylor looked at my phone in front of me and was quick to find the problem... a piece of plastic in my charging port. I have no idea how it got there? Problem solved! I was traveling in a few days and had visions of having to go to Fairfax and/or get a new phone. I was sooo happy to have a simple fix. Taylor made sure my iphone was charging prior to leaving the store. I needed a new Otter case and was able to get the same color and case as I had before. Bayo, not sure of spelling, was very personable and professional as well helping me and other customers. I was thrilled to walk out with a totally working phone in a pretty new case. My battery was replaced in a matter of a couple of hours and I have not had any issues since then. I later found out that Apple had a battery replacement program going on for qualified iPhone 6S's. Mine qualified and Apple reimbursed me the full amount I paid. Definitely was more convenient to have my batter replaced here in town and an all around better experience than driving miles to the Apple store. Will definitely be going to Experimac again for all my Apple product needs!

Shane, You have great techs working for you! They are polite, professional and honest. My iphone would not charge, the charging cord was loose in the port and not making a connection. Taylor looked at my phone in front of me and was quick to find the problem... a piece of plastic in my charging port. I have no idea how it got there? Problem solved! I was traveling in a few days and had visions of having to go to Fairfax and/or get a new phone. I was sooo happy to have a simple fix. Taylor made sure my iphone was charging prior to leaving the store. I needed a new Otter case and was able to get the same color and case as I had before. Bayo, not sure of spelling, was very personable and professional as well helping me and other customers. I was thrilled to walk out with a totally working phone in a pretty new case. I had a massive problem as my Macbook Pro 2010 had come to a standstill. I had talked to Apple Care and they gave me ideas to fix my issue. The guys at Experimac agreed with their findings and were able to install more RAM for a very reasonable price and my Mac has worked good as new ever since!

An elderly friend was given an iPhone 6 from his son. There was only one thing wrong with it; Siri didn't work. We tried troubleshooting it and eventually completely restoring the phone and it didn't fix the problem. After reading some local reviews of a new store in Winchester, I sent him over to Experimac to see if they could help. Not only did they not fix the Siri problem, but they damaged the phone further. We are now unable to send or receive any phone calls. I went back to Experimac to find out what they had done and it turns out, they replaced the antennae and lightning charge port. This was NOT what we asked to have done. They told us they would take another look at the phone and give us a call back. 5 days went by and they didn't call us. We called them and they told us they couldn't find the problem. Conclusion: They took advantage of a 76 year old man, replaced parts that were not relevant to the original problem, charged the elderly man for a service he didn't ask for, and didn't fix the problem he came in with OR the problem they created.

Although this could have been a pretty challenging and expensive off-warranty task, their knowledge of the Mac and its hardware made this a painless fix. I appreciate their straight forward explanations of the challenges with fixing these butterfly keyboard issues. I'd definitely feel comfortable with letting them work on any of my Macs.

I INITIALLY called at 6 pm, was told they could probably fix my phone tonight, so i got there at 620pm. Handed my completely shattered screen iPhone 6, half screen not lighting up at all, to the fellow behind the counter he took my info quickly and very simply gave me my ticket.. Phone was fixed new screen new lcd completely fixed and working by 7pm...probably was done sooner as i was about 5 min late sorry about that.! Amazing work boys highly recommend.Very good pricing IMO! Many Thanks....Matt

OP: Very frustrated that I JUST had my screen repaired, bought a $50 case cover and had a screen protector after having it fixed, I pull it out of my bag and the screen is scratched and a nice crack in it. As the “rep” so kindly informed me “screens don’t just crack”...and I thank you for that observation, but I wouldn’t have come back in if I intentionally cracked the screen. Not to mention after I got it back the replacement screen was so bubbled it was a pain to swipe or type, which I let go because I had a phone again. Thankfully, I just upgraded to a new phone. But, the reps attitude was poor and the lack of customer service did not entice me to come back. Updated response to your reply: Dear Shane, thank you for the response back, however; 1) perhaps, staff should clarify regarding warranties etc as nothing was disclosed when I originally dropped the phone off regarding this nor when I picked it up, hence why I took time out of my day to come back in. If i had known to begin with this “damage” would cost another $182, I would’ve gone about my day. 2) If I don’t feel like the person I’m dealing with is even remotely responsive or interested in trying to help me resolve an issue, then I’m not going to continue the conversation. Verizon was the one who originally helped me get to you all in a pinch! Not only did I feel as though I was talked down to, but, there wasn’t even an offer to actually physically look over the phone. You glanced at it briefly while it was in my hand. I don’t have a problem with accepting that no one could do anything but replace the screen again at a cost; it was the fact that warranties weren’t explained to begin with and I felt completely dismissed.
