If you're on a budget and need some slightly used computer equipment, this is the place. 21" flat screen monitor for $25, can't beat that price. Highly recommend for second generation computing. Not to mention you can drop off your old, outdated or broken computer equipment at No Charge, very nice. They have a loading dock for easy drop off.

Bought a laptop at this place before, I thought it was a good idea for saving money and to be honest it was just a time bomb, first the laptop started doing weird things like blue screening just two days before the 90 day warranty ended, so I took it to the fremont location were I got it and the personal were very disrespectful, at first they insisted that I was trying to scam them to get a new computer, so I explained patiently that it wasn't my fault, when I finally convinced them to check it, they said they were busy so I had to leave my computer and wait around 2 weeks so that they could find the issue, since I really needed it fast so that I could work, I decided to take it with a technician which found that some things weren't properly plugged in and also he found out that it had a generic refurbished hard drive so basically the problem was a hard drive failure, I had to replace the hard drive and then ln less than one year replaced it with a new laptop because of the lcd screen failing because apparently it was ungracefully replaced and some cables were even patched with electrical tape

This needs a place to put sad faces went thru five computers laptops two froze before I got it out the store the last one the lady was detrimied to say I needed a receipt and I said ask ur employee to look it up by my credit card and he did she said u r not to buy any more here I said no worries I am going to frys this place claims to help the low income they why the hell did they treat me like I was some crinmal then she says I will make it to where it takes a long time to get ur money back ..MY ADVICE REVAMP THAT PLACE AND GET RID OF THAT Brat of a manager and if people don't know what are the different operating systems to be willing to explain that to them not make them feel like dirt at one time bought an awesome desk top so thought to by a lap top went thru five of them to give themselves plenty of chances INTERCONNECTIONS YOU ARE NOT HELPFUL IN THE LEAST Maybe two staff who helped me should be mangers but get rid of that lady she needs customer services lessons or to be seriously fired.. And not slot to be in sales anywhere

Everything about this place is perfect, from the fact that it guarantees the scrubbing it gives the hardware of the items donated to it, to the fact that it recycles what it can't use and refurbishes what it can. People in need of assistance are taught job skills, agencies around the world are given the refurbished machines. It's a marvelously comprehensive program.

These guys are great, I went there to get some RAM for an older system, and I was surprised to find their selection and prices were better than I could find online even. When one of the sticks I bought wouldn't work for me, they exchanged the two 4GB ones I bought for four 2GB ones. In the end I left paying about half what I expected to! I definitely want to support these folks.

May I even have a zero star for this review? Their on-line product department has NO absolutely NO customer service. They do not return your phone calls, nor emails when you were the paying customer, and they do not have solutions for 3 months for my wifi problems. They kicked me around when I called, or they just left me dangling. I can't believe THIS kind of business culture even exists today. I am fed up. ps I donated many computers prior to this, and had done my part to be a good neighbor. they are no good partner when it comes to service.

I walked in there with a computer that had died. They opened it up, and found out why it had died. However, they sold me a newer computer that had a compatible power supply, so now I have redundant power supplies, and they were able to recover the data from the hard drive (which was especially challenging because it had an ext4 file system instead of an NTFS file system. They know what they're doing.

I was very pleased with the service I received. I got one of their flyers from Worksource stating they had laptops for 149. I thought it would be too good to be true. I went in and the laptops start at 149 and they were abit old. I was not mad about this though, as I figured as much. I was helped by 2 different people named Chris, a bit odd, but they were both very nice. They answered all my questions and set me up with a computer. I will probably go back in for there cheap internet as well.

The staff is rude and condescending. For a place that is all about selling affordable computers they sure don't like being bothered by "customers" especially the low income ones. If you have a question expect to be greeted by rolled eyes and exasperated sighs before you get any help. If you get any at all.

This place seems to always have what I need, and are usually able to dig up stuff that is hard to find. Great prices on used laptops and desktops, and are willing to work with you if your budget is tight. My Mom, dad, and my brother have all gotten computers here, and I have purchased two. Never had an issue with any of them. I wish they would expand and sell parts as well, but they run a pretty lean operation and don't have the space yet. They are a casual operation, and do not hassle you or push a sale on you. Some may find it rude they do not wait over you hand over foot; I love it. They do not do the used car dealership Best buy approach, but more of a great place to look for deals.

This is a great place to donate computers and computer equipment. They also have a used equipment store where you can get great bargains on used computers and peripherals. We got great deals on used laptops, desktops, and monitors. I'd suggest opting for used business-class computers and monitors, which are more rugged and reliable than the consumer-grade stuff.

I have donated a number of computers, monitors, etc. There is no charge to make a donation and the staff there are friendly and helpful. Just around the corner is the sales portion of the organization. There are some great bargains here and all the equipment is tested. Again there is a friendly helpful staff person there who will answer questions, help you check out your purchase and make suggestions for other products.

I have bought one PC and one Mac used laptops from them for my QuickBooks set up, review, clean up, and one-on-one training business and they are still running. They offer classes that teach folks how to build their own computer and receive one at the conclusion so I have recommended them to several friends on a budget who want to learn more about technology. They recycle computers, printers, monitors, and peripherals. Drop off is easy (I've done it twice) and the staff is friendly. If you are planning on buying something, drop off a donation first and get a discount coupon. If you are in the market for a business computer, they have several available as well as more personal (budget) machines. If you buy a Mac laptop, it probably will not come with a power cord so look for one at a thrift shop or buy it on Amazon.

This place is a place to go if you know what you need or else you might buy something you don't need, a couple of the staff are helpful but 1 or 2 of the staff are darn right unhelpful, they answer questions with a single word. Not expounding on any interest you may have about an item. But over all i give 4 stars if that person with the bad attitude ever leaves or just cheers up they can get 5 out of 5 from me... August 2018 (con't) the place has changed it now receives 5 out of 5 stars the staff are very helpful and also engage your questions with answers you need to hear in order to purchase the right stuff, I'm glad for the new staff and their ability to guide you in the right direction. thanks guys keep up the good work.....

Interconnection promised me a refurbished computer with Microsoft Office Pro included in the software. When I got the computer, there was no software and no key code. I alerted the company and they confirmed the website listed the computer with the software. However, they said it was a mistake and wouldn't offer an adjustment. I also have an insert included with the computer verifying Microsoft Office as part of the package deal. This is most unfortunate as its inclusion was one of the main reasons I chose this company. I have turned it over to the BBB for false advertising.

I had a good experience getting a mobile hotspot from Interconnection last summer, but I've had a terrible experience since my hotspot, which I depended on as my home internet connection, stopped working three weeks ago. No one at Interconnection will answer my phone calls or emails requesting help restoring data to my hotspot so I can be online again. I've called both staff members in tech support nearly every other day for three weeks, emailed the staff member who helped sell me the device, and spoke to someone in retail who said he'd leave a note for the tech support staff notifying them that I needed help. I haven't heard a single thing back. I bought my mobile hotspot late last August, and paid upfront for a year's worth of internet service. My hotspot stopped working on June 2, 2017, nearly three months before my service should have ended. I think the problem is that my hotspot device had originally been activated in June 2016, and this has stopped working a year later, even though the year I paid for should go through August 2017. The sad thing is I would like to keep using the hotspot internet connection Interconnection offers, but at this point I'm losing hope that I'm ever going to hear back from a staff member who can help me get my service restarted.

InterConnection provides a great service for those old "outdated" computer technology. Saving what can be re-used and responsibly recycling what's left. If they were a few miles away, I'd totally spend (at least) half my day there, volunteering and offering my assistance with computer testing and teardown ! :)

This place is fantastic. Friendly and great prices. They are also an amazing resource to recycle your outdated technology. We had 2 VERY large TVs that we were trying to get rid of. No interest on any of the free cycle sites and after letting them sit out over a hot summer someone cut the power cords but left everything else. Now with completely useless TVs we started calling around and we're getting quoted $40 for pick ups and recycle. We felt so lucky to call these guys and be told that they would take them for free! Definitely a win win and they even helped us unload these heavy TVs as soon as we pulled up. Thanks for the great help!

I love the mission of InterConnection to support nonprofits and low-income people. I used to volunteer here before life got crazy, but I hadn't purchased anything from them prior to this month. I needed a Windows laptop for work, but it didn't have to be a super fancy one. InterConnection was perfect because of their very reasonable prices, and high quality refurbishing process, plus the added bonus of supporting a good cause. The sales clerk was able to provide me great help in selecting my laptop. I have been primarily a Mac user for 17 years now, so I was pretty rusty on everything to do with Windows machines. His help was invaluable. This laptop is perfect for the purposes I need it for. I also picked up a used XBox 360 Kinect for $10, which I'd been watching for at Goodwill for months to no avail. Super awesome.
