Very kind stuff.

This review is not written in anger. It is written as a warning. Stick with this to the end, it only gets worse. My iMac was not functioning properly. I strongly suspected the hard drive. I took my iMac and my near-bulletproof external hard drive (it had my Time Machine back up) to the Apple Store at Alderwood. I just checked my external hard drive and the Time Machine back up literally minutes before the appointment commenced. It was working perfectly and all data was accessible. The technician performed his analysis and announced the internal hard drive on the iMac looked fine. This iMac has a fusion drive, which, as you might know, is a combination of a solid state drive (SSD) and a traditional mechanical drive. I pointed out to him that he was only reading the condition of the SSD on his software. He wasn't reading the main hard drive. A technician should have known this. He then proceeded to do several things that I didn't follow fully. The last thing he did was to erase my internal iMac hard drive completely, saying he would then re-install/restore everything from my Time Machine. He did all his work while my external drive attached to the iMac. He wiped the iMac. When he attempted the restoration from the Time Machine, the external hard drive could not be read...by any computer. This was a disaster. Apple said they didn't know what they could have done to corrupt my data on the external drive, but I'd have to send the drive back to the external drive manufacturer to see if the data could be recovered. Long story short...the external drive people sent the drive out to a major recovery company...estimated cost for recovery $2600. Three weeks later, the recovery company said that the data was corrupted beyond any recovery ability available. 7 years worth of tax records, medical records (I'm a doctor), 89,000 photos, music files...all lost. But wait...it gets worse. A little background...I live 4 hours round trip from Alderwood. All told I've made 9 trips to Alderwood (many of which were because in days of calling the store, no one would answer the phone. On other occasions, I was given erroneous information that prompted the unnecessary trips.). Apple Alderwood apologized for my lost data and repaired the internal hard drive on my iMac and gave me a new small portable external drive by way of compensation. They offered to migrate data from my laptop MacBook Pro to the iMac so I'd at least have something to work with. I went without my computers for a week so they could migrate the data. They called at the end of the week saying that the data migration was complete and that I could pick up my computers...another 4 hour round trip. I picked up the computers, brought them home, powered up the iMac the next day only to discover....are you ready for this?...No data had been migrated. The computer screen was a virgin screen. No photos. Not files. No music. I checked the iMac hard drive and of the 3 TB capacity, all 3 TB were available. The drive was virtually empty of everything but the OSX. Not a speck or iota or megabyte had been downloaded except one measly pdf showing one immunization record of one child. Unbelievable. I called the Apple Store, spoke to a very nice and apologetic gentleman who told me I could migrate my own data from MacBook to iMac. So, to the patient reader of this diatribe, I suggest you look at how many levels of incompetence and expense and time and loss I had to swim through in this experience. My best advice is that the Apple Store at Alderwood Mall should be shut down pending a complete retraining of the entire technical staff until they reach a level of competence that would justify a customer's spending thousands of dollars on Apple products. Meanwhile, I suggest your service needs and patronage be directed to benefit a different store. Thank you.

So I have a battery issue with my iPhone, and I knew walking into the Apple store before I ever open the door or ever talk to anyone the end result was going to be that I was going to get told that I have to reset my phone to factory settings and reload all of my applications because there's nothing wrong with the battery. Although the phone will only run for about an hour and a half, the genius technician looked at it and said oh no the batteries perfect. This is Apple solution to everything to reset the phones to factory settings and then if it doesn't work which it won't, they'll be like oh, that's what I would've done. As far as your time, resetting up all your apps, and reconfiguring your phone Apple could care less. The condescending kid told me oh well I take a Sunday off to do it. Screw Apple !!!!! I am done with the Apple hype, and I'm done with the condescending attitude of the Apple employees at the Alderwood Mall store, and the Bellevue store the attitude is just the same. Apple knows nothing, nothing, nothing about customer service or what it's like to have a customer base with loyalty to your product. I am done with Apple, oh and I am a multi-Device and long time Apple owner. Does that matter to Apple??? Not one freaking bit. Hello GOOGLE !!!!

Far too noisy... high stress level caused by that noise. Terrible service caused by staff needing to help two and three different customers at the same time. My phone issue was not solved after being helped by two different staff members and a manager and several calls to your phone support and my having to wait 3 hours.

I was told on the phone with Apple to go to the Lynnwood store to get my iphone 6 battery replaced. I had told the phone guy that I had my son in law replace the old battery that quit working and it didn't last. He told me to drive all the way to Lynnwood. When I got there, they would not replace. I told them I had told the phone guy and he sent me in. So, I wasted a whole day driving down during Christmas week. Thanks iphone store, for nothing.

Chris Swanson

I’ve always had a reasonable experience here.

Apple Alderwood is one of my favorite places to go to. Everyone there is super nice and they have no problem helping you with your devices. Today at apple sessions are super fun.theres walks, skills and lab sessions. I love this store and I think you as well. I will rate a 5 star review.

I am very disappointed with service at the store. I had made an appointment and waited 15 minutes because they were busy. When I explained my problem, the technician did not have a clear answer. The manager also did not have an answer to my question. It is very frustrating for a company that sells expensive products to offer such a poor customer care. They have misleading information listed under description of their devices and very poor handling of customers' issues. I had an accident and my phone (iPhone X) was briefly submerged in water (1ft 8in deep for less than 10 seconds). It shut down and I could not turn it on. When I asked the manager at the store why does it say in description of the phone that it is water resistant up to 1m (3.3ft) for up to 30 minutes, and how he explains the situation with my phone, he said that all the information on the Apple.com are from the 3rd party. So according to him, Apple is not in control of the description of THEIR products. What made me even more frustrating is that they kept pushing the fact that the phone has a water damage and its warranty has expired. Not even once they tried to answer my question why they claim the phone is water resistant when it is not. My whole family has been using Apple products for over 15 years but I am doubting the quality of them now. It is just poor customer care.

I thought that the Lynnwood Sprint store had the worst customer service and untrained staff but this apple store is giving them a run for their money! Wow!

Two weeks ago I walked into this store, waited for almost 2 hours, got to a tech, he looks at my iphone 6 (16gb) audio problems ( people that call me can't hear me and I can't hear them clearly, what is use of the phone for?). This is my second visit to the store, I had gone to the store in Feb, same phone issue, same 2 hours wait, the tech checked all the audio components, cleaned up the phone and said there is nothing wrong with it. This time around, I am told the phone is out of manufacturer's warranty, since I brought in Jan 2016. that's fine I said but what is the issue? the tech couldn't figure it out, he pretty much said audio components are embedded in the product so very hard to troubleshoot. but I could get it checked and hopefully fixed for another $300 service charge. I said what if it is still unfixable. tech says we will return your $300 back. what it meant to me was you got a bad phone from us, just keep it. I asked for Manager, he comes along, zero help, he asks if I want to sell them the phone and buy a new one. He said they could take it for $150, I spend $650 on the phone in 2016 and now have a phone with an issue they don't even know what it is and if it is fixable. I asked him what is the customer mistake in this. his response is, your warranty is over and these are electronic equipment's and electronic products go bad. I told him I had an HTC and Samsung that I used for 6 years before the battery started giving me trouble. the iphone I have is only 1 year old. I have Moto X also, it had charge cord issue. called Motorola service, told him the issue, the guy does not even ask me when I brought the phone ,doesn't ask for order number or IMEI, is it in warranty... he just asks me for the address, says shipping is on them and just throw out the power charger you have when you get the new one. this is the difference in customer service between the world's most sold smartphone and a one of the guys in the market. I understand iphone guys may say if we encourage requests like yours we would have fraud activity (everyone coming in with out of warranty replacements). for that I will like to say you know, you sold me a phone that you cannot fix then the onus is on you to give me a free replacement ,warranty or not... this is what the worlds best companies do and become best customer service companies. just selling phones any company can do.

Went in tonight for my battery replacement appointment that I had to wait a week and a half for, just to be told that they don’t have my battery in stock and I would need to wait a couple more weeks for them to order it. 1 why was it not ordered when I placed the appointment? or 2 why was I not contacted to reschedule my appointment? To wait until someone shows up for their appointment and say sorry your out of luck is rude and disrespectful of my time.

Ordered the new IPhone 8 online and got a confirmation email about being able to pick up my order on the 22 of September. When I got there I was informed that they had some how “given away “ my phone that I had already paid for . They offered to send me to another store but I was already too irritated .

It can be hit or miss here. I came in because I have AppleCare+ on my iPhone. I was eligible to get a replacement after paying $99, which I was ok with. The employees don't know much about their own warranty policy, which is very concerning. I explained to the guy I wanted to use this accidental protection for my phone. I also spoke to tech support over the phone prior to my appointment. The technician in store was kind of rude and not very helpful. I spoke to a very nice manager named Amy. She was how irritated I was and she went in the back and explained the warranty policy to him. He then came out and apologized. However, he STILL tried to persuade me against using one of my two accidental coverages. I told him it was my choice, and that I would like to use it. I ended up getting my replacement device, but if it wasn't for the manager I would have had more issues. The employee lied to me saying he didn't understand until his manager explained to him. However, I could SEE the notes saying exactly what I told him. The other people in the store are very helpful though. I think technicians liked to make their own rules...or think it's their own company. The manager was very sweet though.

I just had the last experience I would ever have expected at this store. The greeter at the door was snotty and indifferent. I told him what I wanted; I knew exactly what I was getting. He proceeds to explain that because the store was closing in 10 or so minutes they probably wouldn’t be able to sell me the iPad today but could “give me information” and I could come back. I said I had made a special trip to buy the product and the store is still open, it couldn’t take long. He rudely replied that he would see if they could help me..... he gets a manager to come over and I explained what I wanted..... They then wouldn’t/couldn’t match up my Apple credit account; they insisted i needed the card which I’ve never used before for my Apple purchases.... so, I left the store that night empty handed. I am never doing business with the Alderwood store again. This never would’ve happened in the past. #disappointed #headedtobellevuetomorrow

We've got several Apple products in our household. But... We're done. Ridiculously long wait times. Huge crowds waiting to have their Apple stuff fixed. Indifferent staff. Not even a simple battery in stock, and that's after making an appointment to have it replaced. It's a 3 hour trip to drive to and from, plus the usual long wait time in the store. Waited around for 20 minutes to buy a watch.. the guy finished helping someone then walked right past me and never came back when he saw me there. Decided I don’t need that watch and probably won’t be buying any apple accessories from their stores again.

I needed a major phone upgrade so I went in to get a new iPhone. When coming in the store you could tell it was slightly busy so I patiently waited for customer assistance. I didn’t mind having to wait. The only problem was that no one even looked at me or told me, “they would be right with me.” That’s why I took a star off. When It was my turn they took me to a guy named Carter. This guy knows his technology and was very helpful in getting my iPhone setup. He made my shopping experience easy and quick. I really appreciate an associate who takes the time to help me %100. Carter you are awesome! :)

Lynnwood Apple is a bunch of lying cheats and scammers-- my mother took her phone to to Apple b/c it was not working and one of the people took her phone to the back room to open it up. He came back and said it would take $350 dollars to repair it-- but they wouldn't know if it would work. We then took it to a Sprint Repair store and a man took it apart in front of our eyes and it took him thirty minutes. He said it had never been open before and wouldnt be able to be repaired. It was water damaged, and they should have been able to tell it was water damaged. Do not go to the Apple Store-- it's a bunch of money hogging baby boomers.

After visiting the Seattle University Village location I was not excited about stepping foot in another Apple store. However, at this particular location my experience was completely different. Employees were friendly, smiled and helpful as they could be. My wait time wasn't too bad and they did have people ahead of me but when I was told it would be about 10-15 minutes..it was under that. I live in North Seattle and will drive to this location again for service because of their friendly attitudes.. I won't be going to the U district location again EVER.

Michelle Dean

Exceptional service. We planned for extra time and they were able to get us all taken care of.

Lyndz Paul

Every time I have visited this store, they have many available staff members to greet and schedule you. Although the wait time was an hour we were offered an appointment which my boyfriend gladly took, and I was helped by the scheduler without needing to make an appointment. This store was packed, very popular. We have gone a few times before, the staff is so kind, insightful and helpful.

ANDREW ZALGO

Great customer service! They replaced logic board in my macbook pro retina in just 2 hours. And they also replaced my scratched key on the keyboard with a brand new ^_^

Barb Dow

Someone got a piece of cable stuck in their charging port. Apple could Not get it out, buy a new Ipad they said. We went into the mall, there's a guy with a booth who bent a wire... 30 seconds later, presto! All done! Apple "geniuses" are not always right. Think outside the box, guys...

Robert Pomerville

Way too busy and unorganized. No one checking people in, just a feeding frenzy on employees. Total chaos. Needs self serve kiosks for check in. . Once i did get an employee's attention, very knowledgeable of course.

Waited around for 20 minutes to buy a watch.. the guy finished helping someone then walked right past me and never came back when he saw me there. Decided I don’t need that watch and probably won’t be buying any apple accessories from their stores again.

Jenee' Barlew

Went there to buy a Watch today. Took about 30 minutes, very quick and the workers were very kind. Unfortunately they didn’t have either of the two Watch colors I wanted, had to settle with the rose gold, but it’s still beautiful so not terribly upsetting. Only complaint is that they should try to stay stocked up on everything. Other than that, great experience.

Shinya Takahashi

Just another Appke store.

Zaid Rezeqalla

Their Staff should work more on their customer service especially the asian guy with the blonde bun . He splits while he talk with customers . The place is really beautiful but their staff are the worst

Yaremi Homer

I needed a major phone upgrade so I went in to get a new iPhone. When coming in the store you could tell it was slightly busy so I patiently waited for customer assistance. I didn’t mind having to wait. The only problem was that no one even looked at me or told me, “they would be right with me.” That’s why I took a star off. When It was my turn they took me to a guy named Carter. This guy knows his technology and was very helpful in getting my iPhone setup. He made my shopping experience easy and quick. I really appreciate an associate who takes the time to help me %100. Carter you are awesome! :)

Eren Biegger

Danielle Adams

Teddy Rees

Long wait times for sales and tech help

Binte Naqvi

I was very disappointed at the service of this store. I was quoted a price for the repair for my phone and then told when my husband got there to pick it up that they had quoted the wrong price. They didn’t even call us to inform beforehand.

Patrick Gibbons

Great staff, very knowledgeable, very easy layout.

E Abay

I suggest everyone just go see Nick the tech there. Not only he knows what he's doing but his customer service is amazing. I had issues 3 people couldn't fix made 3 trips. And he was able to fix it within 20 minutes. I watched him interact quite few people and he was always so pleasant. Treated individual customers with so much care.

Stanalee Ellison

Everyone was very rude. will never go back.

Salvador Cuevas

They suck! Rude as hell. Apple days are over, It died along with Steve Jobs. RIP Apple.

Liz Adams

Wonderful people to work with. Always friendly! I highly recommend this store.

gregory erickson

I had made a one on one appointment to transfer my number 3 iPhone 6 to my new/remanufactured iphone6 on 1/13/2017 only to have another customer come and sit next to me, as your tech was working with me when that customer began to asked my tech questions about his problems. As the time went buy and his problems were more important that my situation I figured that I was just wasting my time sitting there and unplugged my stuff and left out of frustration and totally pissed off and now it's Monday morning and I'm still having frustrations on a iPhone I cannot transfer to the new one. This is my 4th iPhone in year and a half and a good thing that I bought the ex.warrantee but also didn't realize that it was a Verizon warrantee only to receive rebuilt iPhones that are JUNK as I believe this will be an ongoing situation, until I go to another phone company. I bought the new iPhone 7plus 156g and only have used it to check my messages and to use the internet that's all and now I'm having truble doing that. A $1000 for what? And no buddy knows how to fix it or they have 10 different ways to try and no garantee that any of them will fix the problem. I'm tried of wasting my time and money and my body and mind as the Stress level continues to esculate my blood pressure to heartitac level that I can totally blame on apple and their damn iPhone. At least I have "2" so I have some type of avibilty in case of an emergency if one is out of order I can use the other, and the dodadds that you have to have to make them work, so $1000 on iPhones and a monthly bill of $150 give or take. I was fine with the flip phone, but bought into the hipe of having the best of the best and now I have the worst of the worst Verizon and apple = ? I'm thinking that maybe Comcast is in the middle of all this, you never know.

Dylon Jacobs

Customer service was the worse experience, i wouldnt want my worse enemy coming here it was absolutely despicable

Mitch Dore

Great mall!

Chik Quintans

I have been going to the Apple Genius Bar here ever since they opened up here in Lynnwood and I can honestly say they have never disappointed me. Today I had a migration issue with my old iPhone 3Gs to the new iPhone 5 and Jesse took great care of me. Two weeks ago my hard drive was failing. They were able to replace with double the size hard drive and recover my data for a very fair price. Couldn't be happier. Again, just great service!

Why are the apple folks such jackholes, it's almost the equivalents of a trip to the dmv. I'm thinking about my next upgrade which would include station, mobile and watch yet I left there thinking what a bunch smug little twits.. .actually that was 2 of the 3, the young man in the middle was very helpful but the overall experience was less than warm and fuzzy leaving me hesitant to drop the $ we had set aside for any new updates.

LaRosa Hjort

I mean I'm not a particular fan of apple, but this store seems ok.

Everything here was excellent. The quality of the devices are amazing. Having Apple devices myself, I'm very happy with them. Everything there appealed to me, it was so fun to just use the devices to test them out for even just 10 minutes. Service is phenomenal. The genius bar is great, they help answer tons of questions and solve lots of problems. Awesome location!

Poul Pedersen

Great people to work with

Robert Warder

Waited way too long to talk to someone to make an appointment. Drove to the store, got in line, first person could not solve our problem, second person figured it out for us. We went away happy.

Walked right in, picked up an iPhone X on my T-Mobile plan and walked out. Took all of about 20 minutes.

Olga Petryk

Apple sucks, they have good support but the product sucks it self!

Aaron Monson

We had no problems with customer service when we were shopping for a new iPhone. They were quick and knew their stuff. I think can get overwhelmed by the amount of customers, but they deal with it pretty well. Consumerism is the best.

Dysfunctional/poor customer service

Jennifer Davis

The people working at this location have always managed to rub me the wrong way. First off if you have anything that's over like a year old technology wise they openly laugh at you , then act as if it isn't worth the five minutes it might take to fix it. Secondly, they sold my e-mail address without my permission, i know it was them because I traced it back to them. Thirdly, this location is a nightmare to try to get to and park at, HORRIBLE. I'm so happy they just opened a new Apple store closer to my house, where the people are actually helpful, so I can write this location off completely and not have to deal with their snarky attitudes.

Elayne Wylie

No up to date info on temporary store closures. Walked all the way to store front to see that it was closed.

Alison Wang

Very friendly and helpful! taking the time to explain and never too pushy with sales

Chase Grimstead

Has everything new, most or some of last year's models. Same old apple, same good tech for the same high price. Clean building.

Smaller than University Village apple store. Location is good but need to improve Genius service as compared with University place ir bellevue apple store)

Dylan Bremner

The Asian lady there who is the store manager is absolutely awful and knows nothing about customer service, this extends all the way down to the Genius Bar employees because they know they can’t do anything that will hurt this store’s bottom line. Avoid this Apple Retail store at all costs unless you are just purchasing a new product. If you need any help with repairs or anything like that you’re much better off going to U-District where you will be treated properly. I know Apple prides itself in customer service, and this manager clearly just doesn’t get it.

I went in today because the Face ID on my iPhone X stopped working. I made the appointment about a week prior because they didn't have anything sooner which was fine - not a huge deal. I got to my appointment about 5-10 minutes early to check in. I didn't get helped until about 20 minutes past my appointment time, which once again, I work in the medical field so I get it, it happens. I was helped by Shane & she was great. She made everything super simple & easy. She was super honest & to the point w/ everything. All in all I was there probably 45 minutes to an hour from start to finish.

If you look like you don't have money they won't approach you. Salesmanship is not good. I am not used to being treated like that, and honestly it's unacceptable. A different time I went, I tried to apply for their Apple credit card, and they just pointed me to a computer and basically left me to figure it out. I am not please with this at all. I've been to many other Apple stores and I've never been treated like that.

David Nelson Leang

Alison Wang

I visited the store two times to try to get a representative to look at my laptop which was draining battery too quickly. Both times I was told to come back in 3 hours before I could even talk to someone about my issue, even though I'd gotten to the store only 10 minutes after they opened. The second time the sales clerk mumbled a phone number that he said I should call instead of using the stores reps. Even though I'm not that old, I am very hard of hearing and get easily frustrated when I have to use the phone for very specific instructions, so I'd have to get a family member to help me with this task. In general, Apple has really made it difficult to get my laptop serviced for what should be a relatively simple thing. Plus I invested in 3 years of apple care and that made no difference in how I was treated or service received

Chase Grimstead

I spent 2.5 hours transferring my data to new iPhone, their staff just ran between different people without focusing my special problem. Their lead is rude and doesn’t care about customer at all. Also not professional, seems they are the boss and we are begging them to help. Apple, you need better training and recruiting, at least let a person with some education lead a team, a nanny can’t help you.

I walked in their store and a sales rep approached me and took care of me, answered all my questions patiently. I did have a lot of questions since I'm not tech savvy as others. He taught me how to use the new iPad that I got, from turning it on to downloading apps. He even gave me some tips on what apps to download for my dog! The transaction was fast and I didn't have to go to the counter to pay since the sales rep already had a mobile thingy for my credit card payment. Will definitely go back there for all my Apple needs.

Daniel Durkan

When I originally took my mac off to have the video card replaced under a recall, the service rep told me it would only take a few minutes & most likely could be completed while I waited. Once the part was in-stock (which, surprisingly enough was sooner than expected) and I brought my computer back in for service, the rep told me they were "understaffed" and it wouldn't be ready until the following day. Fast forward two days -- after no word from the store/service department on my imac being repaired, I decided to give them a call & see what the status was. "Oh, we just got the part in, feel free to drop your computer off ASAP." "But I dropped it off two days ago, it's just in for a new video card." "Well, uh, it's going to be another 24 hours then. They're just starting the repair." Cool. So was the part not in when they said it was? Would it even have been possible to complete the service "while I waited?" Did my repairs get put on a back burner because they're covered under warranty and not a priority? The world may never know. What we do know, however, is that CS at the Alderwood location is essentially clueless, and should probably be avoided at all cost if and/or when you actually need service completed on-time. At least they're covering the costs of the faulty hardware.

megan smith

Terrible service from Jameson. Have spent upwards of 3k on apple products in the last year and a half and they won’t fix a pair of headphones. I’m done with apple and their rude employees.

Lynn Bell

I left a computer to be repaired, they never contacted me, not by phone not by mail. I am traveling and it needs to be shipped to another city Before I leave . I am very unhappy about the way they dropped the ball on this. Apple is an extremely wealthy company, their customer service used to be excellent, what is happening?

Marvin Roehrick

My wife’s phone was having an issue after being reset due to the device lock. The technical manager and staff were incredibly helpful in getting the issue handled promptly, as well as friendly. Don’t remember their names since we were very stressed during the ordeal, but the technician was wonderful and kind as well.

Tony Dennis

Top notch. My MacBook crashed, they diagnosed, recommended repairs, installed new OS. She is running like new. Thanks Apple!

William Gallas

I had an appointment with the Genius Bar, showed up late but they were still able to get me checked in. The store was crowded and very busy but I was able to get a tech within about 20 minutes. Not too shabby since I was late in the first place but the tech who helped me Alex was very professional and was able to assist me in troubleshooting my device and had me on my way in about 10 minutes with a replacement!

Scout Cudaback

There are lots of helpers and it makes it very easy to ask questions. They have phones, computers, and iPads that you can try to see if you want to buy this product. They just did some rebuilding and the apple store is very big and it has a lovely feel to it.

Adam Cheren

The new renovation looks so good

Eric Reddy

A bit of a wait to see the specialist, but the service was quick, polite and very knowledgeable. Worth the wait.

This is probably one of the worst Apple stores in the Seattle area. They know nothing about customer service and the lack of professionalism is apparent.

Rachael Bakotich

Good workers but even though I made a "reservation" I still waited 20 minutes with an impatient toddler

Austin Richard

Just wanted you to know that even Verizon said stay away from here, and stated if you wanted to actually be treated with some level of reasonable customer service, drive to Bellevue. They have had multiple people not get satisfactory help at this location, to then be treated much better at a different location. This place is blowing it big time.

Justin.B G.LIbyan

i wanted to fix my phone so bad but the building is never open.... says "under construction" and its been a couple of months

Roger Kimble

What a joke of a sales process Apple has made of buying a new iPad. Random people wearing black shirts with no clear idea of who can help you....

Sathish DV

Always sucks! Once I took my iPhone as the camera app not working. They took it and checked and came up with most dumbest response ever. They told me that there was a scratch on iPhone side that's why camera won't work and it's a accidental damage hence warranty not covered. Then took it to Bellevue Apple Store the next day, they took and checked and came up with issue with some internal lens and they replaced it immediate with new iPhone.

Brian Starr

I have had both positing and negative experiences here this week. Positive: I brought back a gift to turn in for store credit and the process was simple. I waited my turn for someone to check out and everything went as I thought it would. Negative: I ordered something online for store pickup and when I went to pick up the item, apparently there was only one person who could help me and she was busy. (Note though, there were at least 10 other Apple employees standing around not doing anything!) I asked the guy at the front if anyone else could help us and he basically said they were not trained in store pickup... hmm are they robots because that has to be the easiest system out there! Also the other employee that could have been helping me was chatting with his friend about a side hustle deal on Apple products... #sketchy

pawan parashar

Employee are rude and store sucks , never will shop here. This STORE SUCKS!!

kattie mary kathlene

Every experience I've had here has been great, but my time in the store today took the cake. I bought a Belkin phone charger from this store back in January. It served me well for a time, but has recently been a pill and not charging my phone. I'm going on a trip later this week and wanted/needed a charger for the drive and knew there was a warranty, but wasn't sure how it worked as it is not an Apple product. I went into the store today and the nice gentleman explained to me it was something to take up with Belkin and showed me the site and form to fill out to get my replacement as per warranty. I mentioned I was going out of town in a few days and needed one and he pulled a replacement from the wall and switched it out for me. I was wholeheartedly expecting to buy another replacement today, but this man went above and beyond to help me out. Good customer service is hard to come by these days, thank you for being awesome.

Bruce Rodich

Great experience. Nice people answered all my questions and had some great suggestions.

A few years ago I brought my new MacBook Air to the store to work out some bugs. One thing I wanted done was to fix my Gmail and the "All Mail" file so I would not have to get my email through two different places. The girl who was supposed to help me was so distracted. She and another tech were trying to fix another clients problem who was sitting next to me. I was pretty much ignored unless I got her attention. She was more confused than I usually am, which was a disadvantage in itself. She actually acted as though I was a bother. Unfortunately, whatever she did to my computer totally ruined it. She for some reason made me new "inbox" and "trash" files but forgot to tell me. That was only one thing she messed up, there were many others. I have had nothing but trouble with my once new laptop that I did purchase at the Alderwood store. I could not even access my email for almost a year. Also much of my Gmail that I went into the store with just simply disappeared. I still have problems but am waiting until I can afford a new laptop which I probably will not buy at Alderwood Mall. It is so sad because this Macbook Air was brand new and now I get so frustrated with the "fixes" she did that I dread using it. I have paid other techs to try and fix her mess but unfortunately they could not figure out what she did. I didn't see what she was doing because she kept leaving me and chatting with the guy next to me. He must have had great service what with the help of my tech and his own. Needless to say, I have never had such a messed up computer and I have had many. I always have wondered since that incident why I even had to make an appointment. Oh and by the way, before I left my appointment, the tech did mention that she didn't understand Gmail. I didn't even use my Boot Camp, etc. because I hesitated to take my laptop back into that store.

The new store looks amazing! Wish the service by the employees matched. My experience Included interaction with three different employees one of which was the manager. Inside of all three interactions I noticed that they didn’t really listen to my questions and if there was such a thing as apple store customer service they all fell very short from the mark. I asked very simple questions and received no answers even close to what I asked. On top of that I was treated like I was going to run out with the entire store under my arms when I looked at something. It’s amazing what people say when they think your headphones have music playing.

Aso Gaming

I went to buy an Apple Watch and I went up to one of the workers and asked for one and they placed the order right away. While we were waiting for someone to bring watch the worker was social so then it wasn’t boring or awkward waiting and then paying went really quick.

Mish Moosh

Some people seem to have bad experiences with customer service or lack of thereof. So, we called ahead of time to set an appointment for a broken device and came in on the busiest time on Sunday. Despite there being a herd of people stumbling around in there, several employees still JUMPED to help us. Gave malfunctioning product to an employee for fixing, went out to grab a bite to eat, came back an hour later and voila! Product is all fixed.

Paul T

Their Appointment system obviously struggling, had to wait 40min after my appointment. Too long and chaotic customer system. Needs new management!

Couldn't be happier with my experience at Apple today. I had just bought a new MacBook Pro online and it was making loud fan noise so I brought it into the store here at Alderwood. They looked inside my Mac for me, found some problems with it, but didn't have the same model to replace it with. So, they gave me a newer model at no charge. I had about 4 different people help me while I was there and they were all so friendly and helpful I would highly recommend shopping at this location!

Kyle Van Valkenberg

There service is terrible Bellevue is way better

Jared Collins

Very nice experience, and helpful staff. Glad we stopped in to buy and look at the devices. You can get a hands on in the store unlike Costco, or Best buy.

This is the worst Apple stores around Seattle. We made an appointment to come and waited two hours for nothing. They asked me to come back later because they were so busy?!

Emilia Sorto

Great costomer service,no waiting time

Tori Nelson

Big thanks to Chris from the tech desk in the back! I walked in thinking my battery was dead and it ended up being my IO board that needed some replacing. Thanks to him I had wonderful conversation, my laptop fixed, and saved some money! Thanks for the wonderful service, if i have any other problems I'll definitely be coming back to you!

Busy friendly staff but typical overpriced apple stuff.

Apple stores tend to be hit or miss with customer services, this one is a miss. Would suggest trying University or Bellevue if you can.

Aiden Darby

The people were super nice and understanding. They spoke very clearly and weren’t snappy. The store is super clean and nice. I recommend coming here for service. Because I had to get my phone fixed.

Demar Gio

I drove an hour to come here only to find it temporarily closed due to remodeling... there was no notice on Google Maps...

Very well organized ecstatic customer service

No one greeted us when we arrived for 10 minutes. Then we were told it was a 2 hour wait... to drop off a computer that needs a new battery. Or, I can make an appointment for a week later at a time that won't work for most people. This is after I went to another Apple store and spent over an hour getting the computer diagnosed and was told I could just stop by and drop it off. Nope, not when you went to a different location... Apple, you've lost touch.

Jotesh Singh

I purchased a pair of Powerbeats Pro from Best Buy for 249.99 + tax. After wearing them for a few days, it was clear they were causing irritation to the skin on my ears. Since I purchased them over 15 days ago, Best Buy would not return them and directed me to the Apple store. I went into Lynwood Apple and explained the situation to an associate. She looked at me with a smirk and said there was nothing she could do, making comments like "Why did you bring them here" and "what do you expect us to do for you." I asked if I could speak to someone else. She told me to wait. I saw her walk over and talk to another associate and could see them smirking in my direction. She came back and again said there was nothing she could do for me. I wish I would have gotten her name. I did some research online and this is a known issue for these headphones. There are numerous YouTube videos and blogs regarding skin irritation caused by the material on these headphones. I will definitely not return to this store again and will likely be filing a formal complaint with Apple. I have been an Apple user for many years, spending thousands of dollars with this company. I couldn't believe the response I got today from them. Really disappointing.

Our experience with this store was great. However I did not take my Apple password with me and the technition we were working with had to get Apple support by phone. I dealt with these folks before and the man I worked with screwed up my account so badly I still am having problems. But fast forward to the new encounter with them by our technition, he tried to get them to send my password to my phone. My phone was dead, but he could put the sim card in a different phone and get the code. They refused to do so. He tried to get them to send the code to my email and assured them I could give all my security answers, they refused. The supervisor on the phone told me how it could just not be done and their hands were tied. So, store great, phone support stinks. I have to go back with my password and try again to get my phone fixed. DUMB!!!

#sketchy

Shawn Meyers

Forgotten about in store for almost an hour by employees. Terrible customer service. Quoted 3:40 completion time for a screen repair. Was “almost” finished at 3:50 when I came back. Magically ready when I had finally had enough at 4:45. This is not why I pay extra for Apple products.

Bruce Rodich

Great experience. Nice people answered all my questions and had some great suggestions.

Lynda Taylor Erwin

Wickedlyblind 69

A++++ customer service here and everywhere apple for that matter. The only apple store for the whole NW corner of washington so they do an amazing job despite being 100% packed 24/7. Got my girlfriend's iPhone here and the transaction was seamless, they came to me and did the sale right there with me as opposed to me waiting in a line to checkout, he answered all my questions and gave me all my options, made it super easy to decide and very simple to checkout

Azuz Alsuleman

Very rude and very unprofessional they are making fun of the customers and make jokes about them

Came in to purchase a new computer. Walked all over the store trying to find a sales person. After finally locating one we were told to “hang out” by the computers for an undefined amount of time. After 15 or so minutes of standing around, I asked the sales person if she knew an approximate wait time. She said they don’t have the ability to know. What a weird way to handle sales

Brielle Villagran

Walking into this store is almost heart stopping. The amount of people in there is absurd, everyone is talking, looking at devices and totally geeking out. As long as you make an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar you are set. I was able to make one for 30 minutes after I set it up online. Eric is the one who saved my life. Not only was he polite, but he listened to me and my needs and set off to fix them. He came back once, with not the greatest news, but also offered another potential option. Then he went off again and came back a short time later with some better news. He was able to offer me a tiny window of time with my phone before it completely died and all data was lost. He was able to do what the sprint store said was not possible and with less attitude! Total time there maybe 40min with 10min of waiting as I was early for my appointment. I highly suggest making a reservation with the Apple Genius Bar for any need that you have. Thank You Eric!

Lord Loaf

Helpful with knowledge and didn’t have to wait long

Mark Van Duker

Came in with a brand new iphone. Asked if they could set up my new one and put data from my own phone on it, etc. The worker told me to put the screen protector on myself because she wasn’t responsible, gave me a tool to open and a transfer my sim cards with myself, and told me to go back-up my data at home computer and go online to learn how to transfer the data

Brendan Coffey

Very experienced... Friendly... Will return!

Penelope Manning

Very helpful! He was patient with me, which was needed! Thank you!

I tried to make an appointment to exchange a dysfunctional (per an hour long conversation with Apple Care) iPad. The next appointment was over a week out, after I'd be out of town on a work trip. So, I tried walking in. I was first told they could not help me at all. After explaining all I needed to do was exchange the iPad, the helper talked with a supervisor, and told me if I waited 3 hours, they might be able to squeeze me in. Now I'm stuck trying to mail it in, so they can eventually mail one back that might work. After I finally get this new iPad, I'm never buying Apple again, after 15+ years of Apple loyalty.

Becka

Not the first time I’ve been blatantly snubbed here. I came in today because my brand new iPhone X has a green line down the screen. Online in several articles it states Apple is aware of this defect and to bring it to a store for a brand new replacement. I’m told at the store ‘They’ve never heard of this’ and I had 3 choices. Wait IN STORE for 3 1/2 hours for a tech, stand in line tomorrow morning at 9:30am for when they open at 10 (in the rain with no cover), or make an appointment over a week away. And then I was told they will probably rebuild the display, not replace my phone. I’ve been there before trying to buy a new MacBook Pro but had questions about the new model and how it performs for my job. They guy who was supposed to help me passed me over for a cute blonde, then helped someone else after her. I walked out after waiting 40 minutes. If they are that busy they need more stores. And TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Kevin Bach

Never come back ! Iphone 7 "water non-resistant" Take your own risk. Worst product Terrible customer services after 90 minutes waiting time. They asked me to pay $319 replacement fee for water damage.... ZERO star services not even ONE star.

Eman RR

I took my i Mac because some parts aren't working and they made me wait one hour even when I got there 20 minutes before my appointment. When I finally got to talk with the "GENIUS" and check my computer he said that my computer was working well after running some programs and he told me that probably my other devices or my cables were the problems. if I did not insist to double check my computer they would not be able to find some of my problem and what this "GENIUS" (exaggerated name for those people) said was " Oh, I guess there is something wrong with your computer." The only reason I go to that store is because the other stores in Seattle are too far way from me.

Ozgur Sahin

Too much of a wait.but employees were nice

Alina Sadykova

The customer service is awful. I was waiting 20 minutes for assistance while some associates were doing nothing. At the end when I asked my total they told me approximate amount ( are we on the farmers market?!) Finally they forgot to give me receipt. And it was not even a weekend. I can't imagine how they work in busy days.

Abby Rode

I wish they had a bigger selection of products. I have gone there twice to get something quick and did not find what I wanted - then went to Target across the street and found it there. What gives?

Hume Real Estate Services

We have always had top service from this store!

郝玺力

This store does not allow me to repair phones, and ask me to go online to get support?WTH?

Yago Artaza Paramo

No problems when you are buying BUT when I brought my laptop because the keyboard stopped working (a known issue on MacBooks) I was told I needed to get an appointment and comeback.

cheesyhead98

It's a mall.

Sven S

Don’t come here on a weekend. You will be waiting for at least 30 mins before someone will help you. Very I organized.

John Mares

I arrived a little before my appointment time but didn't have to wait too long. Their atmosphere is a little weird but compared to what else is out there in the world nowadays it's really not that bad. Many much more negative reviews regarding that aspect of it that you can read here though. My computer is so old that they are not even supposed to touch it apparently, I was told, but the guy that was helping me was super awesome and was like "Aghh... but I like fixing things so let's see if we can figure it out." He went ahead and helped me even though I don't think he was supposed to, he ran a little test that indicated my hard drive was bad, he then even showed me a website where I could buy a new, better hard drive and basically not only fix but upgrade my computer for really cheap. I did what he said, and my computer is now faster and better than it was before. I'm extremely satisfied.

MikeKimandNick Matarazzo

Who are you and why do you call me non stop from across the country?? I hate Apple products, go away.

Keith Lampers

Went into the store today to get some help to repair my iPad. The person came over and helped me twice and never came back. I sat there 30 minutes waiting for her, while she stood talked to other employees. When I got up to leave she just looked at me and smiled. What a joke of store for help, if your not buying anything forget it.

#Applealdeewoodmallstore #applestore #alderwoodmall. Apple Alderwood mall store ... I went to the store for the purpose of buying 2 unlocked XS Max 256GB iPhones, case, screen saver, an apple watch, and some other accessories for a friend in Brazil, cash purchase, but at entering the store I was badly attended, actually not even noticed, I spoke to a salesman who told me he could not answer me, I looked for another salesman, asked him if he was busy, he told me he was in the middle of a transaction, told him he expected, but he treated me like I was doing some delivery, because he was holding a paper, which was the list he was trying to compare ... So he said he would call another salesman to help me, he took me to the same I talked to, but had no interest in selling me, told me he was busy, but I could wait in a corner of the store until someone could meet me. okay if that was the case but they were in a group in the middle of the store just looking at each other I asked to talk to the manager and a woman came to me telling me she was the manager who could help me but only if I already knew what I wanted to buy, without any question, because she could not answer me, but pointing to one of the iphones told me: if you tell me that wuer im of those I will get ... lol seems comedy. After nearly 30mins of waiting for the first salesman, after finishing a conversation with a couple who have just entered the store, on leaving they came back towards me and said: now I can help you lol. I looked at him, and complained about the wait, about leaving me in the corner waiting to be met, and with the comment from both the salesman and the alleged manager: you're at the top of the waiting list. Tired of that neglect said: now you can answer me !! funny, before you did not make sales, the manager does not know how to answer me any questions I had ... now could sell to me ... result: I left the store without buying for my friend who lives in Brazil, and I traveled in A FEW DAYS ... THAT'S AT LEAST A DISRESPECT, A SHAME!

Fokis Gaming

It totally depends on what you're doing here. If you're in the iPhone battery replacement program for faulty batteries, you'll have an awful experience. I went to the Apple Store two weeks ago to have my iPhone battery replaced. They had to order it and said to come back a week later. They called a few days later after I was there because they received the battery early. The guy said "you have seven days to come by and replace it and plan for 2-3 hours to replace it". I tried calling the store on the sixth day to extend the seven days because I wasn't able to make it out within seven days. I sat on hold for 20 mins, some lady came on the line, put me on hold for an additional 13 minutes, then came back and said she has to escalate this to tier 2 tech support?? 33 minutes into this call and all I'm asking is to extend the period of when I can go in to replace this battery.

I came into the store recently and was quickly helped by a very tall and smiling employee named Stephen. He was very patient with all my questions and answered them in a way that was both helpful and understandable. I was able to quickly find the product I was looking for and select the model that would meet my needs based on his help. Very Grateful!

I bought an IPhone 5s on a Saturday, and as soon as I left the store 3 steps out, I realized that there was no power/charging cable. I came right back in and asked the gentleman (Ian, I believe) that sold me the phone about it, but because I had left the store now I had to talk to the manger which I did. He promised that he was going to mail it to me because he did not have them in stock. while I saw them right there in one of the displays! Monday I called to make sure that the cable was shipped, and I was assured that it did after waiting for 45 minute hold. Wednesday I called and assured me again that it shipped about 20 minutes in the phone. Today Friday, I called because I had not received it, and after 20 minutes on hold I got disconnected, called again when I Insisted to talk to the manager again this time his name is Jake another 35 minutes in the phone. The people on this store just do not care about customer service. Needles to say I will never go back and I would not recommend you do either, they are as bad as dealing with the cable company! I live in Bainbridge Island and going back to the store is a pain.

12 November 2018, FINAL UPDATE. Grand reopening Saturday, 17 November 2018. Finally. :-) 06 October 2018, UPDATE. New Apple store still under construction. (See photo.) I will guess the grand reopening will not occur before mid-November. May 2018, EDIT. This Apple store is closed for renovations. It has been closed since 24 February 2018, two months now. I notified Google back then but they dither on making the necessary updates. I posted a few photos that show the closure but those photos are nowhere to be found. You must visit another nearby store; please see my note below for those locations. END EDIT As with every other Apple store, the Alderwood Mall location provides a consistently positive experience; knowledgeable and passionate employees help make for the excellent experience. We stopped in a few days ago for one of their many training sessions, which with only two other ‘students’ turned out to be almost one-on-one session. As a result, we all learned a lot. The lesson occurred during the tumult that is part of the Apple store experience but was not lessened by it. All our recent Apple purchases have been from this store. NB. This store will close at 9pm on Saturday, 24 February 2018 for renovations. Its reopening is undetermined, but perhaps will require one year because it will take over two store spaces, one of which is still occupied. Until reopening, University Village and Bellevue will be the nearest store locations.

Had a screen replaced on an iphone X for a manufacture defect, the new screen was not properly installed causing water to enter the phone from walking in the rain the next day. Apple staff said no warranty is given for water damage even if the screen was not replaced to factory standards and was forced to purchase a replacement device. This has happened to both my co-worker and I, would avoid getting your device serviced at this location.

Friendliness is good, but sometimes a little bit too much :)

I came in to buy an iPhone and they said I'd need to wait 4 hours because they were super busy... There like 15 people in the store. How does it take 4 hrs to serve 15 people? They're terrible at customer service. That's how.

Yanjun Gong

I've been waiting over 45 mins for the genius bar, even I already have a reservation. Still waiting!

Stephen Miller

A++++ customer service here and everywhere apple for that matter. The only apple store for the whole NW corner of washington so they do an amazing job despite being 100% packed 24/7. Got my girlfriend's iPhone here and the transaction was seamless, they came to me and did the sale right there with me as opposed to me waiting in a line to checkout, he answered all my questions and gave me all my options, made it super easy to decide and very simple to checkout

Daniel Zhao

Made an appointment, waiting for an hour before being helped. Being told they are too busy and asked to come back later...

Azuz Alsuleman

Very rude and very unprofessional they are making fun of the customers and make jokes about them

Bridgette Tuttle

The staff is great at the Apple store

Super.apple camp .Great for kids

Way too busy. Couldnt even ask a question. Maybe they need a number system when you check in

Nicholas Brennan

Waited an hour for help and never got any. Tons of employees standing around but I guess none of them can actually help sell a phone so 10 other customers and myself stood in a line near the door forever and the line never moved and we never got any help. Not sure how difficult it is to sell phone but this is ridiculous, the customer service here is shii!!!!!
