The only reason i didn't give a 5 star was because the front of house gal was rude and abrupt (She was annoyed that we were taking a few seconds longer to explain why we were here, she said "Why you are here?" I think a "what can i do for you" might have been more helpful.

My phone randomly blacked out on me this past weekend while I was at a function. Was sitting with a friend and she saw it too. When I finally got it turned back on hours later, it could not longer connect to the cellular network. I took it in to the store the next day. The "genius" said I had water damage to my phone. My phone has never touched water, is always in a case and my purse. He accused me of this and also presumptuously said that "maybe I left my phone unattended and that's when it happened." Rest assured, my phone is my lifeline to my deployed boyfriend, I would never leave it unattended. I can't remember his name but he had a mullet type hair cut. This was by far the rudest customer service I have ever experienced. I am a professional engineer with a clearance and he was basically accusing me of lying and offering no help whatsoever. A little research online shows this has happened to many other people out there and rumor has it humidity can trigger this in faulty indicators, which it had been very humid that evening. I went to my local Verizon store, who had MUCH friendlier customer service, troubleshooted the phone, and told me it was a software issue they couldn't fix in store, and rather than sending back to Apple, would issue me a new phone instead. HORRIBLE experience, shame on you Apple since this is a $1000 phone I purchased.

We went to the Apple Store to get new phones. We waited a while to be helped. However, the store manager, John, took great care of us and recognized we had been waiting quite a while. We received better customer service from him and his crew than I could have ever asked for.

The customer service in this store, Lynnhaven Mall, has declined sharply since its opening. The technicians, or geniuses as they like to be called, used to greet you professionally and with a smile. They now stand by and wait for you to approach them then look at you like you are bothering them. Long gone are the days when they investigated your devices problems after you finished telling them your issues. Now you are told they can give you an appointment in one and one half hours or more to see someone. I am not here for your convenience, you are here for mine - remember? Maybe I will stop buying Apple after all these years now...

Came here to get an adapter I need for work but after 33 minutes standing at the adapters reading the boxes to make sure I got the right one no one came to help me not even the Guy that was leaning on the counter thing about 4 feet away from where I was. Ended up ordering the part from Amazon will never come here again.

Terrible customer service. You literally have to go up to someone for help. Never have I ever had to do that. At other Apple stores in different states they usually have someone at the front waiting for you to come in and schedule you to be helped by a representative. I had to come back because my phone could not be activated by my carrier company after Apple promised everything transferred over from their end. Then the manager (bearded white guy) had the nerve to say I was EXAGGERATING on their capabilities after I was referred back to the store by Apple support . Well if you aren’t capable of helping me then shut the whole operation down. It’s your job num nut. Definitely don’t recommend this store to anyone. Save your gas and time.

READ IN FULL These people are crooks, trained to make money for the multi-billion dollar company, Apple. They do it right I must say, from a business prospective. From a customer prospective, it is literally throwing your money away. DO NOT go see the geniuses at an apple store and here is why, -The don't actually fix anything besides phone screens at the store. -They quote you a flat $750 rate to fix a minor problem saying they will replace other parts, which may come out to be more in value. (trust me it wont) -So I've put these geniuses to the test twice... One time I have faked a water issue, the issue was non existent, and I asked them to run diagnostics and see what the problem was. The genius took my (perfectly fine) computer and found many problems relating to water issues. Funny thing was my friend, there was not water issues hahahaha!! He quoted me $750 to get it fixed but "since it was a 2015 model, you should just buy a new macbook pro" you know, the ones starting around $1,300 before taxes........ So I got a good laugh out of it and left the store. -Another time, I did legitimately mess up my computer, It fell off the bed and the screen wouldn't turn on. There was no way I was going to give apple geniuses my money, but, I still went in for the hell of it. I got their fake ipad diagnostics, watched them buy a stolen iphone under the table, and pretty much just got quoted me in the highest rate they could. So I left, plugged my computer through an HDMI to a TV, unplugged it, bam, working screen. They told me my black light (the light that lights the entire screen) was shattered......... I still am an apple customer sadly, Mac fan all day, but f off Geniuses, thats a disgrace to the name.

Called to ask if iPhone 6 battery was in stock. First, automated call, ok. Said iP6 battery. Put to tech support 19 minutes on hold. Then before they could tell me if they even had a battery, need all my info. Names numbers etc. Apple you messed with phone so I need a new battery. Now you hassle me to find out if you have one to fix it that I must for. I done. You blew as user friendly.... I have never posted a negative before about anything Apple you have gone too with control of my slowing it down.

FIVE STARS BECAUSE.. I came in for a charger. I was asked if I needed help with anything else by Andrew. I told him I didn't then I was like "Wait, I actually do". So I had issues with my phone since the new update came out. I couldn't look at my music profile and my friends. Long story short, Andrew, Mike and FACELESS Kord (because I don't know. . what he looks like lol) did an amazing job with fixing everything. It was basically a whole "mind blown" session. I left really happy! Thanks y'all.

We scheduled an appointment to get batteries replaced. Had this appointment for several days in advance. We get there and still have a 4 HOUR WAIT. What good is an appointment if you will not honor it? The manager (which was not available) here should be fired for such poor customer service. Apple does not show that it cares when things like this happens. If I could give a negative review, I would.

I DONT recommend there staff! Twice in the past couple of months I have had two simple issues with my Apple products, but Apple Services are too lazy and too egotistical to fix it. First I went to Apple to fix my MacBook Pro, because my battery wouldn't hold a charge. They said since the MacBook was 6 years old they couldn't replace the battery. BS they could have easily purchased and replaced my battery, but they don't because the companies self centered attitude tells employees that customers need to buy a new MacBook. My second issue dealt with my iPhone. My headphone jack got stuck in the headphone phone part of my iPhone. I thought an easy fix of using some tweezers to pry it out would work. After waiting ten minutes, Mike says we can't fix this, because we don't have the supplies. What kind of repair services doesn't have the supplies to fix this simple issue?? What a waist of time and service!! I went to Cell Phone Zone and in 30 minutes my phone worked again. #Small businesses rule Apple and Tim Cook...ya'lls company is going downhill. Real quick

I recently book a new Mac book pro and all of the staff here were super friendly and helpful. I was there for 2 hours, mostly because I was paranoid about all my stuff transferring over. Every person that helped was very polite and patient when answering my 1000 questions. I highly recommend using this facility with this friendly staff!

No customer service skills. They don’t have ears to hear and don’t try to understand what customers really need. They only talk what they want to talk. I was given by the agent wrong information which was only his guessing, not from his knowledge. The telephone customer service was even better helping me. Found out what the agent told was a mistake. Apple Store personnel are not only knowledgeable but they are patient and friendly. That said I am really angry that whoever repaired my computer, added features I will never use, and took away the one software program that I absolutely need, like yesterday and had on my computer before bring it to this location. How can I get rid of the ones I don't want, iTunes, Siri, News, FaceTime, and get back Pages or some similar documentary writing program... for letters I need to write and send out?

Hands down the best apple store location in Hampton Roads. Gosh where do I begin?! My rep (Arnold) did a phenomenal job resolving my concerns and issues with 4 of my company’s devices. He was very knowledgeable on short cuts to get things fixed saving me time at the store and is an awesome multitasker. When purchasing apple products I highly recommended getting apple care, it pays off! Anyway, new devices were in for pick up in just a couple of days and their customer follow ups were in perfect timing.

When he approached us, he was like why don't you have a Apple ID? it's free it's not like it's going to cost anything why don't you create one? I went to this store for my iPhone which was cracked because of the swollen battery. I waited 20-30 mins, talked to the technician and he said I need to pay 329$ to repair my cracked screen. I constantly told them I didn’t drop the phone, the crack happen may be coz of the battery but they refused to believe it. He called the manager of that store and she refused to listen to me. I went to the other store today and they replaced my phone because my battery level was really bad. If I could review 0 to Lynnhaven apple store. I wouldn’t even give them 1. They have really bad customer service. I hope they will improve the way they handle their customer in near future.

Horrible customer service, I've tried three different days at Lynnhaven and MacArthur and cannot make an appointment because they are already "booked" I've spoken to an "Apple Care" supervisor and received no help. You cannot speak to a store in Virginia you have to go through someone in California. The last time we "Walked in" it took two hours to be seen and that's what they recommend you do. Maybe they should hire more people if they are that booked.

I listened to an Apple sales guy sell an old couple an ipad and apple pencil they didn't need. The couple explained to them all they want to do is use Microsoft word. The guy pushed the biggest ipad pro with the most memory. I just feel like it was over kill.

I highly recommend this Apple Store. They were very quick and efficient in helping me repair my iPhone. I arrived at about 10am and was told there would be an hour wait to see a technician at the Genius Bar. It only took about 30 min before I received the text that they were ready for me. They took my phone back for repair and told me it would be ready at 1:30pm. I went back at the specified time and they had my phone back in pristine condition. I was pleased with all the help that I received and how quickly they helped me get it fixed. (I originally went to Verizon who is my carrier and they wouldn’t have been able to have my phone fixed until the following Monday.)

Jonathan(i think that was his name) was amazing and so kind! i tried to do a review on my actual genius bar case number but couldn't find out how so i resorted to google. ANYWAY, i went in because i couldn't figure out what was taking up all my space(169 gb...sheesh). i searched high and low, called the apple hotline and everything, still couldn't find it. So i went it, told him what was wrong and he didn't look at me like i was crazy or anything. he helped me out and showed me in my "photos" theres a recently deleted album(just like my phone) that i didn't know even existed on my computer. We deleted everything i THOUGHT i deleted days prior too and it freed up over 170 gb worth of space!!!! I was so happy i wanted to cry because i thought i was going to have to buy an external hard drive. Although it was something so small, he really made my day and I walked out a very happy camper. Thank you Apple for hiring such genuine people. He was great.

Its a great store but my only complaint is that if you aren't an older customer the employees won't give you the time of day. On multiple occasions I have gone here to buy apple products (Apple Watches, MacBooks, iPads) but I have always had to initiate assistance. I understand that it may be hard to know if I am actually buying since I am a teenager but it is frustrating that I am coming into this store to spend hundreds of dollars and I am treated like an inconvenience until I say I actually want to buy. For example I go into the store today to purchase a Magic Mouse, and I had a few questions about the product. I go up to two employees who are just talking and ask if someone can give me some information on the product and show me about it. One employee walked with me over to the magic mouses and tells me "Yea just look at the settings and it'll show you everything it does" then walked away and didn't really offer me any more help. While I was looking at the mouses an older lady walked over to look at the iMacs and was immediately helped out by an employee who answered all of her questions (And she did not ask anybody for help). As mentioned before, I understand that I am young but when it comes down to it I still want to purchase products from this store but it makes it hard for me to actually want to come in when I am already expecting terrible service. On the Plus side, if you are looking for great customer service I would recommend going to the BestBuy at Landstown Commons. The employees helped me out and I made my purchase there with the help of friendly, and knowledgeable staff.

I'm an Android user but I went in with a relative who was buying a watch for his wife so she could do very specific tasks like remote vehicle start, get texts and electrical heart monitoring. We were there for 2 minutes before being helped despite the Holiday crowd and a knowledgeable salesman soon helped us narrow down the watches to one and told us which apps to download on the iPhone and how to sync it. They know a lot there. Friendly too and do t work off commission so expect no pressure. If you have or are looking for any Apple product, I would go there first.

Great place to hang out when you're bored. Take a look at all the new phones ipads and laptops. There are tons of employees walking around who are great with helping ansser yoyr questions and even fixing your electronics. They have a little table in the back also for kids to play with the stores ipads. They have a few games on the ipads. My child always begs to go in the store to play on the ipads lol.

This apple store stinks. It is virtually and physically impossible to talk to anyone in the store by telephone. Their automated answering system just kills time and then finally after a long hold time... no one EVER answers the phone. Last week I was on hold while I left my house and was still on hold after driving and arriving to this store. Went in hoping to get some simple questions answered about the Apple Watch. The store was busy, but i saw a few employees standing around alone and on their devices, so i politely approached one woman on her device and she looked up, glared at me, then turned her head to a customer that i didn't know she was previously helping without saying a single word to me. Left standing confused, i felt humiliated that she would just ignore me so abruptly like that. I decided to walk to another gentleman standing by himself, and before i could finish saying "excuse me", he cut me off to tell me i have to go put my name on a queue list to be helped by someone and then quickly walked off saying he's too busy to help me. 2 minutes later i see him casually chatting around with his co-worker. When i first walked in, there was no greeting by an employee nor a sign to tell me that you have to be put on a QUEUE LIST to simply ask questions. I understand the Christmas rush, but at least show an ounce of respect to everyone. I went in with a good mood and left with a bad one which i carried with me throughout the day. Bad customer service ruins peoples day and the reputation of the business.

Lots of staff standing around. I needed my daughters iPhone to be reset through iTunes. The associate said it’s a very simple fix and proceeded to tell me that the wait was so long they couldn’t give me an exact time to get an appointment and continued for five minutes telling me about the way appointments work and the same issues the prior customer had... I feel in the time he had explained all of this to me, the simple problem could have been fixed. Very disappointed in Apple.

After speaking and getting passed on to four different techs during my scheduled appointment, in a matter of seconds I had no other choice but reset my laptop for it to work fine after getting about 10k songs deleted. Very disappointing I was in the store over 2 hours only to be told to take my iPad home there's nothing wrong with it. It is taking at least 5 1/2 + hours to charge and doesn't stay charged a full day. Apple Care was a waste of money.

I went to the store yesterday, I have been unable to use my IPad mini for 2 yrs because of an e-mail and phone number not used any more and the iPad was on Activation Lock. My son bought it for me at the NEX in VA, did not have the receipt, tried to get proof of purchase from the NEX but it needed to be date specific and could not remember the date. At my appointment yesterday these 2 Great ladies I am so sorry I do not remember their names worked tirelessly for me until we were able to find a solution. I was very impressed with the customer service I received as well as how they made sure I was ok and kept apologizing for the length of time it was taking. THANK YOU SO MUCH AMAZING LADIES FOR YOU CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BOTH GENUINE CARING PEOPLE. These guys are excellent and will go out of their way to help you. I've dealt with many of the people in the store over the years. Recently took in a 2011 Macbook Pro. Needed a new logic board. They said it would only be $310. The part alone would cost me over $500 to order so this was a good deal. When I went to pickup they told me it was covered by the store! Was not under Apple warranty but the store covered it. Wait, what? Ok.

I went to the Apple store on a very busy Monday. I was greeted by a very friendly lady and she asked me what the problem was w/ my device.I explained to her what was going on with my phone and immediately I was directed to a young man ;who set me up with a 45 min wait appointment.I left &took care of some errands. I came back and was checked in immediately and waited for about 10 minutes to see an associate .and ,my device was up and running in about 15-30 minutes .I saw Jazzy at the Lynnhaven Mall location.she was very helpful ,friendly and professional,thanks so much I’m very happy!!

Was given false information in regards to unlocking a phone to use on another carrier and now I’m screwed out of a ton of money. No one in Apple has taken accountability and the manager did absolutely nothing to help. Except promise to follow up which of course never happened. Don’t trust anything you are told, not a reliable or trustworthy store or company!!

Came here to see if I could buy AirPods but after standing in the store for about 15 minutes and no one even attempting to greet me or help me out, I just left. Instead I just used my phone to see if the store even had them in stock. I wasted my time even coming here. I’ll just order them online

One "Genius" tried to be helpful, but policies put in place prevent them for doing anything. Botched simple repairs (which shouldn't have been needed in the first place, they were hardware failures) on brand new MBP and 2x iPhones. Left me without a phone on a planned warranty swap because the people left at 8PM didn't know how; MacArthur store is worth the drive.

Beautiful store which is newly opened in Lynnhaven Mall. It's much larger than the original Norfolk Apple Store. Several times larger to be exact. Every Apple product is on display and of course your and pick it up, test it out, etc. The staff is friendly and helpful and everything you've come to expect of an Apple staffer. The new location is very well lit and much brighter than the Norfolk location which has more of a soft lighting. There's not much else to say here that hasn't been covered. I'm sure the folks living in VB are happy to have store close to them now.

Every store associate was efficient and friendly. I went in with a hardware issue. The tech was knowledgeable and replaced my Apple Pencil Overall about 20 minutes total although the store was super busy but I didn’t feel crowded or neglected. Great quick experience in the Apple Store today

This is the absolute worst Apple Store that I've ever been in. I've never been in one that didn't have the usual great customer & experience. This location is clearly poorly managed & understaffed. The staff is unenthused & are not knowledgable about basic apple products. There was about 3 staff members helping a bunch of customers at the same time, including myself, while others were walking around trying to avoid the other customers. Poorly, poorly, poorly managed location. After over 45 minutes of wasted time in this store, I left & went all the way to the MacArthur location where the service & experience was excellent like always.

Had a failing iPhone that was just out of warranty; between this store and Apple corporate they waived all fees and replaced the phone with a new one! Great people!

Place looks cool but mostly crowded after 5pm on weekdays and more even on weekends. I like the online appointment option but still have a long wait, its hard to get sameday appointment (my experience). I think they are overstaffed and you mostly see them stick with each other, they do approach you and ask if you need help, but I think they should get more repair techs and lessen their sales staff

ZERO STARS HATE APPLE. Came in with a broken iphone that would not turn on. Waited an hour to see someone and in two minutes of my appointment I was told they cannot do anything because the diagnostics could not find anything. Ridiculous that they would not take apart my phone to see if its a port or battery issue. Dont waste your time and come here.

I went in the store and was helped immediately. I went in for my I pad because it wouldn't hold a charge. the wait was going to be 2h so I decided to purchase another cord for it ship we can check to see if it would hold a charge.of it doesn't then I will have to bring it in to get checked out. I will be making an appointment this time around if I need further assistance.the employees are very friendly and helpful.

The individual who helped me to make it seem as though we were only there to replace a cracked screen was Adam. Brought my phone in on January 9 after it was repeatedly dying and requiring a charge, was told they would have my battery in 3-4 weeks. 2 months go by and I hear nothing. Walk into the store and an employee downplays it by saying they’ve been extremely busy and I should check back in a few days. I ask to speak to someone regarding the matter anyway and when they finanally decide to look me up in the system they discover they had the part but it was given to someone else after they “failed to reach me” I check my phone log/voicemails and there is no call or voicemail from Apple. When I ask if they dialed the correct number they admit that may have been the issue. I than ask if they attempted to email me and they respond, “we probably should have tried that.” I don’t understand how 1. They can’t verify what number they called 2. They couldn’t have emailed me considering an email address is on file.. absolute inconvenience and waste of time.
