Don’t even think of using Genius Bar at this place, better use YouTube videos learn yourself, and do it. It will save you money, time and most importantly Data. If that does not work schedule a call with expert instead. They lost all of my emails on Mac book Pro and Selective data on iPhone as well which was there for years. And in return handed over me the third party data recovery people contact details, to pay and get fixed....????

Terrible experience. The sales people are pushy and will say anything to get your money. I was promised a $50 gift card to turn in my phone after purchasing $2,000 worth of products. Of course when I returned to turn my old phone in, they said it was unacceptable. They do not keep their word and took complete advantage of this military family. Steer clear of this store.

My cell phone wasn't connecting to my carrier after four days of being out of the country. I was super frustrated and dreadful of coming in for an appointment. However, Kristen, made my experience enjoyable and worry-free! I got a brand new, issue-free phone in 30 minutes. She's a delight to talk with and I really do believe the appointment couldn't have gone any better. :)

Terrible experience today. I made an appointment 2 weeks ago with Apple support online to replace a a battery in my IPhone 6 as suggested. Went to my scheduled appt today at Fair Oaks Mall VA Apple store. Was told as soon as I was seen that they have no battery’s in stock. What!!!! The manager could care less about my out of the way excursion. I’m sick of hearing how much money that Apple is stockpiling. Take care of your issues($29.00 battery replacement program) and maybe consumer confidence will come back.

The service was okay but here's the thing. First we had to be put in the que for the 2-hour wait just to talk to someone about the speaker being out in our 3-month old iphone. Once our turn finally came up, they put us in another que for a 1-hour wait to repair the speaker. Gotta be a better way than wasting an entire afternoon in this louzy place that doesn't even have a chair or coffee during the several hours you'll spend in this place. Just Say No to Apple.

A friend went in with a problem resetting their iPhone (forgot the original AppleID used to set it up password) to trade it in. He had complete access to the phone, but the store employee told them they needed a proof of purchase for them to help him. The phone was purchased years ago, but a 3 minute YouTube video fixed it.

Worst experience ever at an apple store, store manager does not care about his customers actually his title has gone to his head and acts like an spoiled brat. Purchased a silicone cover there for under $ 40 dollars for an I7 lasted only 30 days and started cracking in one corner went there to get an exchange he refused to do one saying the silicone covers is a third party item and he is not responsible for replacement, go to the Apple store in Reston much better service.

Today I went by to see if they could help me by replacing an Apple cover that I purchased for my iPad Pro. The seams are separating which seems to me is a quality issue. Since this was mid morning and crowds were not there, I figured this would be a good time. I was told that I would need to set up an appointment with the Genius Bar for a Technical Specialist to see if they would replace the cover. A Technical Genius for a faulty seam on a iPad Cover!!! I asked if they couldn't just handle it, but no, it is a "Technical issue". I won't be purchasing from them in the future.

This location is clean and there is lots of staff. I had an appointment and was seen relatively quickly so I was happy about that. The service I received was mediocre. The "tech" was smug and and passive. I bought an i-phone online (worst mistake) and it didn't work I brought it in hoping they could fix it and they couldn't. All they could offer me was a full priced replacement. But this was only made clear to me after 1 hr 20 mins of him hardly trying, being on the phone with apple support for 40+ minutes and bluntly asking him what my options were because he had other people to help and could care less about making sure he followed through with assisting me. Customer's work hard to afford your expensive products we expect professional, empathetic and resolution based customer service in-store.

I came in to get a couple of cases and wireless chargers for my new iPhones. Staff were attentive and helpful. There was a kids computer class going in the back and my son joined while I shopped. Staff were well informed and honest about the products. “I’d suggest this not that.” Brian the manager spoke to me briefly and couldn’t have been nicer.

Visiting this Apple store was the best experience I have ever had at an Apple store. The associate at the Genius Bar listened to me when I described the problem I was having with my MacBook. He was genuinely dedicated to fixing the issue. The store management gladly helped out when we hit a "brick wall" in the process of solving my computer's problem. If you have the choice between going to your nearest Apple or taking the time to drive a little farther to this one... go to this one.

The worst customer service I have received at an Apple Store. For some reason they don’t seem to want to be helpful, take longer than estimated to do work, and have bad attitudes about it. Particularly several of the female staff working there, not sure why. I’ll be heading back to the Clarendon location for future Genius Bar support. Had a kernel panic in macbook trying to install a new software. Scheduled an appointment at apple fair oaks and they barely tried to solve my problem. I was simply told to take to a specialized center, where I would have to pay 100$ for it. Went to apple Clarendon after, and they were very efficient, patient and persistent. Guess what? They did solve my problem and I could use my computer again. So I would say, if you can choose a location...

I can not say enough as to how Happy I am with the Fair Oaks Apple Store! The 800 messed on the phone and I was forced to drive 130 miles to get my issues resolved. Walking into the store I was greeted by Meagan who took the time to listen and help, She quickly got David and Ahmad involved and when their options were helpful but complicated they then involved Tony who was able to build upon the great work of Megan, David and Ahmad and get me back up and working and they helped me avoid having to drive out a second time. waited the two weeks Apple tech said would take for battery replacement to arrive at Fair Oaks locations - after the two weeks we went in to ask for the battery and was met with just a “we’ll call when it’s in” he didn’t even care to check if it was already in or not. Fast forward to now (two weeks later/a month after ordering the battery): after a long hold with Apple tech they tell me that yes my battery was ready and I should just walk in to get it. When we walk in and say we’re there for our battery THEY FIND IT easily, saying they can work on it immediately and apologize for not having the time to call or contact people about their replacements arriving... uh no. My replacement could’ve been ready for weeks now. Very unorganized. The workers just couldn’t be bothered to do their jobs.

Try to avoid this place if possible since we are talking about longer wait times and staff being little unfriendly. You may not be greeted for a pretty long time. It's no better at Tyson's corner either however there are only few choices if you have to definitely visit an Apple store. Happy with reduced Apple footprint in my hardware and software ecosystem but MacBooks are going to be existing in it sure.

Typical Apple store. Focused on new sales not fixes. Don't expect them to jump on a repair without an appointment. Staff is always helpful when there is a possible sale. The Apple store in Woodbridge is a little less busy and you are more likely to get a repair appointment. Just a recommendation for all you Apple people. No they may not be able to recover your data... BACK UP YOUR DATA! Most frequent fix I heard involved a wipe and reinstall.

I brought my daughter's laptop here a couple of weeks ago. They sent the MacAir away to be fixed and 10 days later it arrived. Worked for 3 days and then had the same problem, which means they will send it away for another 10 days, only to be not fixed again. There is a wait to see someone who will assign you to wait for someone to see you so that you can wait while a tech can look at it only to have you wait to have it sent to another place. Apple Care won't replace the clearly defective unit that is only 5 months old nor will they give me a loaner machine. So I decided to buy another for my daughter since she really can't be without a computer for the month of waiting. So I get to wait for a salesperson to come over who quotes a different (higher) price for the same machine, has no idea what I want even though I explained that I wanted to replace the lemon I bought a few months ago that hasn't worked for the past month. Apple is horrible. My daughter is loyal but her phone and laptop breaks easily, is difficult to repair, and requires going to see the genius bar that is always full of people trying to get their defective products to work. Somehow my Samsung and Toshiba equipment requires no repairs at all but every Apple store has a 3 day wait to talk to someone who can't repair the device. The store has a Point of Sale system that is difficult to use and it is impossible to buy anything at the store without waiting in a long line of people. The store itself is designed poorly with a staff that never asks if they can help you and seems trained to never look at you when you have a question. The products are obtuse, the serial number on the back is printed in fine print, the phone system won't allow you to call ahead to see if there is a long line (which there always is) and MicroCenter support doesn't acknowledge AppleCare reservations. Even the bar doesn't have a hook for my girlfriend to hang her purse and the seats are too high for the low countertop. People stand clueless in lines not knowing where to go for help as nothing is clearly labeled but there are "smart" graphics on the wall that make no sense to anyone that is over 12 years old. And the smug look of everyone that works there. I set the bar higher for anyone called "Genius". The manager seeing that I am clearly distressed says I don't have to be "rude" but then can't figure out how to ring up my sale and use my credit card. Everyone around me has some sort of broken product and it is difficult to find anyone that will sell anyone anything. My daughter just turned 18 and if she wants more Apple products she can buy them herself.

I had an appointment at this location and after talking to the manager they denied the fact that the phone was bent witch was obvious because the screen protector was not resting on the edges and when the tested it the only wobble came from the camera. Then I asked to use a wireless charger and left the camera of the edge and still felt a wobble.

Extremely poor customer service. Sales reps weren't willing to help us and when I asked someone to come help us, another rep seemed to suggest we didn't appear to be buyers. We were there to buy iPhones and for the 15 minutes we were there, no reps helped us out. Perhaps we need to be dressed in tuxedos and gala dresses for the store to respect customers.

I purchased a new laptop from this store but unfortunately everything felt rushed. The sales person that helped us did not take the time to explain all the small details, and I had to call back Apple to get my questions answered. I understand that Apple is a busy store but every customer has to get the same treatment and no one should feel rushed and frustrated when walking out of the door.

Hands down the worst customer service I've ever had. Staff told me a bracket with my laptop was broken I left my computer with them for 7+ hours and they told me it would be finished that night. Had to call 3 times for them to tell me to come into the store. As I walked in I received an email saying please call us. They have my number and were too lazy to call me. Turns out it wasn't a bracket it was my hard drive and it would take another 30 minutes and an additional$100 dollars for them to fix. I walked around the mall for 35 minutes and came back in they didn't even have me in the system. Meanwhile employees are telling me oh. They are fixing it. I responded " I'm starting to get irritated" their response was to say we understand... No wonder Google is taking over the world you guys are lazy, unapologetic and lack even the most basic interpersonal skills. Steve Jobs I hope you haunt this store. Maybe then these slobs would get their butts in gear.

Genius Bar. I had a reservation. I was 20 minutes early, but still took me within 5 minutes even though clearly busy. Couldn't fix the phone, but replaced it and I was out in 10 minutes. Professional, quick, and explained everything.

Had an appointment at 1:30pm for battery replacement. Arrived at 1:25pm and checked in. Got an estimate completion time at 3:50pm - Wow, so effective, isn’t it. Came back at 3:15pm at see by any chance if it’s ready as my kid was extremely tired. So, talked with an employee (Sadie) and explained her the situation and asked if she could do anything to help. The response was everyone is tired and fatigued and that she did not care, and that I would have to be back at quoted time. I told her that you cannot compare yourself and adults with a 4-year old. Since she refused to help (and not even to check with technicians for status) and showed no sign of sympathy, I requested to speak with a manager (Thad). He is considerate and went in to check the progress. Eventually, Thad was able to update me at 3:37pm that my repair would be completed after 15 mins, which was no single minute earlier than the quoted estimate. Update: checked in again on time at 3:50pm. Was told to wait near headphone section. 5 minutes later, a staff member came and informed me that I would need to wait for another 10-15 minutes before they did not have enough staff members process pickup. Apparently, it's OK for them to delay, and your time means nothing to them.

What a dealership service center is to a car, this place is to an apple product. Unreasonably long wait lines (this place looks like a zoo with no one in charge), much of the staff is not versed in the line of products and cannot answer questions. Expect to wait half a day here with no real progress. One person directs you to another and then to another until you give up and go home. Lots of bureaucracy with no attention to customer service. Oh, you don't have an appointment? Doesn't matter your computer is broken, please come back when you have an appointment, our next one is in a week.

Very disorganized. We made an appointment to have a battery replaced (after waiting over a month for the battery to come in) and still waited 5 minutes to be told to wait again in a herd of people (9+). Waited again in this herd for another 15 minutes (total of 20 minutes after appointment time) just for someone to come and take the phone back. Perhaps they were understaffed although there seemed to be plenty of “blue shirts” standing around. And if they were understaffed they should have scheduled appointments accordingly. Went to the Tyson’s apple store with similar situation a few minutes moths ago and had a totally different experience. No appointment needed once battery came in and very prompt and courteous staff. Definitely go to Tyson’s and not Fair Oaks.

It's an Apple retail location; If you're into Apple stuff or considering Apple products it will be the same carefully curated experience as any other Apple Retail location. That said this location is often VERY busy. They likely won't have an issue attending to you quickly though. I've been to this location multiple times for sales and never had any issues at all. I've never utilized the Genius Bar or requested Warranty Service though so can't speak to that.

My iphone suddently died and I couldn't turned it back on. I went to the apple store, they checked the battery usage and it was dead (my iphone already had a few years so it was quite normal I guess). They said I could change the battery, which I did. I honestly think $29 to get a battery replaced is a really good price. I changed it about a year ago, and it works perfectly. The usage is down to 98% after a year. So worth it !

I brought my daughter's laptop here a couple of weeks ago. They sent the MacAir away to be fixed and 10 days later it arrived. Worked for 3 days and then had the same problem, which means they will send it away for another 10 days, only to be not fixed again. There is a wait to see someone who will assign you to wait for someone to see you so that you can wait while a tech can look at it only to have you wait to have it sent to another place. Apple Care won't replace the clearly defective unit that is only 5 months old nor will they give me a loaner machine. So I decided to buy another for my daughter since she really can't be without a computer for the month of waiting. So I get to wait for a salesperson to come over who quotes a different (higher) price for the same machine, has no idea what I want even though I explained that I wanted to replace the lemon I bought a few months ago that hasn't worked for the past month. Apple is horrible. My daughter is loyal but her phone and laptop breaks easily, is difficult to repair, and requires going to see the genius bar that is always full of people trying to get their defective products to work. Somehow my Samsung and Toshiba equipment requires no repairs at all but every Apple store has a 3 day wait to talk to someone who can't repair the device. The store has a Point of Sale system that is difficult to use and it is impossible to buy anything at the store without waiting in a long line of people. The store itself is designed poorly with a staff that never asks if they can help you and seems trained to never look at you when you have a question. The products are obtuse, the serial number on the back is printed in fine print, the phone system won't allow you to call ahead to see if there is a long line (which there always is) and MicroCenter support doesn't acknowledge AppleCare reservations. Even the bar doesn't have a hook for my girlfriend to hang her purse and the seats are too high for the low countertop. People stand clueless in lines not knowing where to go for help as nothing is clearly labeled but there are "smart" graphics on the wall that make no sense to anyone that is over 12 years old. And the smug look of everyone that works there. I set the bar higher for anyone called "Genius". The manager seeing that I am clearly distressed says I don't have to be "rude" but then can't figure out how to ring up my sale and use my credit card. Everyone around me has some sort of broken product and it is difficult to find anyone that will sell anyone anything. My daughter just turned 18 and if she wants more Apple products she can buy them herself.

I had an appointment at this location and after talking to the manager they denied the fact that the phone was bent witch was obvious because the screen protector was not resting on the edges and when the tested it the only wobble came from the camera. Then I asked to use a wireless charger and left the camera of the edge and still felt a wobble.

We were there to buy iPhones and for the 15 minutes we were there, no reps helped us out. Perhaps we need to be dressed in tuxedos and gala dresses for the store to respect customers.

I purchased a new laptop from this store but unfortunately everything felt rushed. The sales person that helped us did not take the time to explain all the small details, and I had to call back Apple to get my questions answered. I understand that Apple is a busy store but every customer has to get the same treatment and no one should feel rushed and frustrated when walking out of the door.

Hands down the worst customer service I've ever had. Staff told me a bracket with my laptop was broken I left my computer with them for 7+ hours and they told me it would be finished that night. Had to call 3 times for them to tell me to come into the store. As I walked in I received an email saying please call us. They have my number and were too lazy to call me. Turns out it wasn't a bracket it was my hard drive and it would take another 30 minutes and an additional$100 dollars for them to fix. I walked around the mall for 35 minutes and came back in they didn't even have me in the system. Meanwhile employees are telling me oh. They are fixing it. I responded " I'm starting to get irritated" their response was to say we understand... No wonder Google is taking over the world you guys are lazy, unapologetic and lack even the most basic interpersonal skills. Steve Jobs I hope you haunt this store. Maybe then these slobs would get their butts in gear.

Had an appointment at 1:30pm for battery replacement. Arrived at 1:25pm and checked in. Got an estimate completion time at 3:50pm - Wow, so effective, isn’t it. Came back at 3:15pm at see by any chance if it’s ready as my kid was extremely tired. So, talked with an employee (Sadie) and explained her the situation and asked if she could do anything to help. The response was everyone is tired and fatigued and that she did not care, and that I would have to be back at quoted time. I told her that you cannot compare yourself and adults with a 4-year old. Since she refused to help (and not even to check with technicians for status) and showed no sign of sympathy, I requested to speak with a manager (Thad). He is considerate and went in to check the progress. Eventually, Thad was able to update me at 3:37pm that my repair would be completed after 15 mins, which was no single minute earlier than the quoted estimate. Update: checked in again on time at 3:50pm. Was told to wait near headphone section. 5 minutes later, a staff member came and informed me that I would need to wait for another 10-15 minutes before they did not have enough staff members process pickup. Apparently, it's OK for them to delay, and your time means nothing to them.

What a dealership service center is to a car, this place is to an apple product. Unreasonably long wait lines (this place looks like a zoo with no one in charge), much of the staff is not versed in the line of products and cannot answer questions. Expect to wait half a day here with no real progress. One person directs you to another and then to another until you give up and go home. Lots of bureaucracy with no attention to customer service. Oh, you don't have an appointment? Doesn't matter your computer is broken, please come back when you have an appointment, our next one is in a week.

Very disorganized. We made an appointment to have a battery replaced (after waiting over a month for the battery to come in) and still waited 5 minutes to be told to wait again in a herd of people (9+). Waited again in this herd for another 15 minutes (total of 20 minutes after appointment time) just for someone to come and take the phone back. Perhaps they were understaffed although there seemed to be plenty of “blue shirts” standing around. And if they were understaffed they should have scheduled appointments accordingly. Went to the Tyson’s apple store with similar situation a few minutes moths ago and had a totally different experience. No appointment needed once battery came in and very prompt and courteous staff. Definitely go to Tyson’s and not Fair Oaks.

It's an Apple retail location; If you're into Apple stuff or considering Apple products it will be the same carefully curated experience as any other Apple Retail location. That said this location is often VERY busy. They likely won't have an issue attending to you quickly though. I've been to this location multiple times for sales and never had any issues at all. I've never utilized the Genius Bar or requested Warranty Service though so can't speak to that.

That stated, it's a few days until Christmas and I promised a goddaughter new headphones and earbuds. So there we were. Fortunately, finding what we needed was easy. Checking out was even easier -- no lines, and the associates were clearly in a Holiday mood. My rating is an average; my previous visit to the location as an Apple Bar patron (faulty earbuds for my son) was memorable, and not at all in a good way.

So about a month ago I went to apple to fix my phone They just needed to change the charging unit because it wasn’t working and I explained it to the man that was working with us and he said that he couldn’t fix it and he said that you could replace it with another phone same exact one iPhone 7 Plus and so I talk to my father about it was around $400 And The guy said hey I’m going to leave because I have other things to do in a mean way so then after one minute we call the man to come and he said okay.so we told him we might be coming back around 3 PM or 4 PM so we went to a place called Uber fix they were so much nicer and they fixed it for $89 and after that worked They give me a 90 day warranty so if you break your phone or something happens to it go to Uber fix it for free for your 90 day warranty they are the best I’m never coming back to Apple ever again this is the worst place to get your phone fixed I’m done with Apple

I think a lot of the fustration comes from scheduling and waiting for appointments. Alot of people dont realize that an apple support app is available and you can get online support for a lot of issues. As a last resort the online support team will schedule an appointment for you at your nearest apple store. Apple team at fair oaks has always been friendly and always helpful. Again you can get immediate support through the app but if you call the actual apple store they wont pick up.

We had an appointment for a repair which we learned was a lemon device (hardware issues which had never worked) but because we were 1 month out of warranty our only option was to buy a new device. Granted...they offer hust over $200 for our current device but only if we purchased a new device worth $750 or more. Ugh. I use a droid, this was my daughter's phone. I feel iPhones are overrated. All three of my kids have iPhones and they all need regular upgrades/repairs. Droids just seem to keep on ticking...anyway. Store was insanely busy. Walking sideways and squeezing through people just to reach the front. Miserable experience. Again...the gentlemen who help us was fabulous, kind, apologetic and made me feel he was trying to help us anyway he could. He is the only reason the store received stars.

This store does range from the excellent to very good. I have bought a few items and the service from the floor personnel is above par as Apple does this very well. Now I did get a IMAC repaired and the time for repair was a bit long for a simple power supply (over a week) and pickup was almost a hour. I still like Apple and the products and they do a whole lot better then 90% of all other stores I can think of. Overall Apple people and products do things they way everything should be done a full notch / touch above the rest.

The staff does not welcome the customers. They are too behind their schedules. They give a time for repair, and they keep extending it. Once they scheduled a 15 minute screen repair for my phone, and I had to wait 2 more hours after the time that that gave me. The store was closed but I was still inside waiting for my phone. They were 2 hours late. After the screen repair, my iphone's navigation does not work. It cannot locate me correctly. Whenever I go there, they are full for 5-10 days.

Apple's policy of not selling parts on the open market prohibits customers from doing their own repairs and creates a situation where down time is increased substantially. Being a full time news photojournalist requires me to be on my computer everyday for long periods of time, waiting for their repair schedule to open up and additionally for them to order parts is difficult enough. But when the staff out and out tells you a lie and then prolongs the repair another couple of days this becomes unethical. The Apple Nation likes to appear to be upbeat, jovial, with a very cool facade to give off the appearance of teenagers at a social event while customers are being punished because the young staff have no understanding of work and life demands surrounding the need for accurate and honest communication and timely repairs. This store has broken my trust. With all the extra fancy terms "Genius", "Business Team", it is all smoke and mirrors.

So I had an issue with my phone crashing and shutting down out of no where. My husband had the same issue as well. I take my Iphone6 into an Apple store and all they tell me is my battery is depleting. They don't even look at the phone just connect it to their Ipad and that was it. however my screen has popped due to the battery swelling. So I go online to chat with Apple Support regarding the issue with the battery because it makes no sense that 2 years after I got my phone it has so many issues. This never occurred with my Iphone 4 which is why i continued to purchase Apple products. They proceed to tell me that the battery life is only 2 years which I find ironic because the Manufacturer Warranty is up after 2 years. After going back and forth via Chat I was told that the battery is swelling and that it needs to be replaced because it is a safety hazard but that i need to pay because the warranty is out and its my issue for not replacing the battery after 2 years. How fair is this to Apple customers. I don't recall being told to replace my battery after 2 years when I purchased my phone. Totally disappointed.

The staff put us off to a call appointment, stating that "the over the phone reps will assist you better than we can, in the store", and even the apple rep on the scheduled phone call informed that they could have done it in the store just as well, and it sounded as though they were being lazy or putting me off. I went online to make an appointment to have my iPhone battery replaced, came in and one month later they called to say the new battery arrived. Came to the store when they said it would be the least busy- Wednesday during the work day- and they wanted me to (1) turn off the "find my iPhone" feature and (2) they said it would be 2 hours so I said that was fine, I'd wait, but I received NOTHING in return such as a receipt to prove that I brought in the phone or to ensure the correct person picked it up...even an electronic receipt (text or email) for an $800 phone! I get a receipt for my dry cleaning which has much LESS value! If I have something repaired anywhere else I walk out with a receipt! Unbelievable!! I said something about this on my way out and they acted like I had 3 heads....couldn't comprehend. But what am I going to do? I need the battery replaced and there's no other place where I can have it done for their special offer price of $29.

I’ve had several consecutive good experiences at this store. On two occasions I ended up not getting old computers repaired and what I appreciated most was the fact that the staff didn’t try to make an extra buck off me. Instead they gave me good advice. I’ve ended up buying a new phone and a new MacBook Pro from them. The Pro had to be specially configured and still it arrived at my house the next day. Always friendly and helpful staff.

Apple has lost it ever since Steve Jobs died. Now all the care is about making more money for their shareholders. These guys don’t want to fix anything, they just want you to buy it new. I really needed to fix my iPhone 6 which stopped working. A simple battery replacement could fix the issue, but the “genius” employee offered me a new one for $300 instead. I had important information on that phone and they really don’t seem to care. As sad as it may sound, I would highly recommend you to take your product to a third party repair shop. You will have much better luck there. For example there is a Micro Center about 15 minutes away that will for sure help you.

I walked in and said to the first employee I saw, "I have ONE question but otherwise know what I want to buy. My question has to do with my corporate discount." Great Experience today. I had some issues with my laptop. I took it in for my appointment and Mercedes took care of them! She was professional, calm, and thorough. She explained what she was doing step by step to keep me in the loop. She found the problems and took the laptop. In 15 min, she came back with all the problems fixed. Horrible customer service! i worked all summer saving up to get an iphone 7 then after one year of using it it randomly shut off, so i went to the apple store and they said it had an internal problem so i wanted to replace it and they were trying to make me pay 320 dollars plus tax to replace it with the same phone. So disappointed in this store and in apple too . I went to this store today. After waiting for about 2 hours the tech basically told me my phone was damaged, I had damaged it. I could not recieve any credit. He pointed to some minor cracks on the side of my phone . I’ve only had this 7 plus phone for 2.5 years . I went home and found this article that clearly states that after the iOS update11.3, some apple 7 plus microphones have stopped working. Apple will replace them for free. That is clearly the problem with my phone. I cannot hear anyone on my phone. The speaker button grays when I call out or when someone calls me. This started about a few days ago. Okay so basically I was just lied to as the tech tried to sell me a new phone. Shame shame apple . Shame on you again . What a waste of time, trust, money . Anyone else out there with this problem? Do not trust their techs .

Entered the store for a 10:00 AM Genius Bar appointment, ~9:50 AM. A polite staff member greeted me and had me sit at the Genius Bar. There, I was ignored for half an hour by numerous staff members. I left at 10:30, the same polite staff member apologized because no one had alerted him that I was still waiting. Problems: I was getting work done while waiting, so I may have looked busy. However, I tried to catch someone's eye at numerous points. I could certainly have been more pushy. In general, however, a company doesn't want to encourage customers to be pushy. I've worked retail and known to many folks who have to deal with bad customers. Why was being pushy the only option? The staff members were all walking quickly, not stopping even to look at me and raise a solicitous eyebrow. In other words, after the initial, polite staff member greeted me and registered me in the system, there was no further monitoring of my situation. It was entirely up to me to alert people who showed no interest in being alerted. Conclusions: organization at that hour was poor. Staff failed to communicate with one another. Staff failed to keep their appointments. Further conclusions - sometimes it's better to be pushy and irritable than patiently watch people screw up. Of course when you haven't had breakfast, you've had too much caffeine, and you have a load of work on your plate, you don't want to load all of that extra stress into your response to an ultimately minor organizational failure.

I received an email yesterday saying to contact the store which I did today. They said that the speaker was failing and needed to replace, that they will do it at no cost to me. I couldn't understand why there was an issue with the speaker because the initial test the person did at the time I brought the laptop to the store did not mention any audio issues. After going back and forth with the person on the phone as to why I was not notified I told him I would be coming to the store. On arrival at the store I spoke with a tech admin and inquired as to why no one called about the issue with the speaker. He said that someone called me this morning and left a message, I do not have any messages or missed calls on my phone which leads me to believe this was a lie. I told him I wanted to take my laptop today and to call me when the replacement speaker is in. I inquired about the replacement of the speaker and he said after running test it indicated it was failing and will eventually stop working. I asked why I was not being charged for the speaker replacement and he said that we saw it was failing and was going to replacement at no cost. At this point I'm thinking why would they replace a speaker for free which is out of warranty and then charge me for the battery replacement. It just didn't make sense, either charge me for both of both will be free. My assumption was whoever was replacing my battery, made my right speaker stop working and instead of calling me like they indicated in the note just decided to cover it up by ordering the speaking and saying the speaker was failing. I paid for my replacement battery and left. In the car in the parking lot I tested my speaker. Low and behold the right speaker was not working. My speaker went from working when I brought it in, to failing when it was in the store to flat out not working in the car. How does this makes sense. I went back in the store and ended up speaking with the manager who kept asking, "What can I do for you now". After back and forth with my empathy towards my situation I told her that all I wanted was someone to say is that a mistake was made when they were replacing the battery and not lie and try to cover it up by saying the speaker was failing and made it look like they were doing me a favor by replacing it for free. The manager kept saying we're replacing it for free over and over like it was supposed to mean something, not taking ownership of what had happened to me . I asked who did the repair for my computer and she told me she did not know, I asked do you not keep records, she said she didn't look over all my notes. She knew I was escalated and she knew the issue and speaking with her just made things worst. I slammed my laptop shut and left. If the manager cannot see what went wrong here (lack of ownership, lack of communication, last of accountability) then there was nothing left I could say that would have helped the situation. This has made me very upset, the entire experience just got from bad to worse very quickly with no one understanding where the failure was. I expected so much more from Apple but this was the worst experience I've even had with a company, blatantly lying in my face just to cover up a mistake. I hope someone who can do something reads this because I'm still in disbelief.

Excellent service. Told one lady staff member about my stuck “H” button... she suggested solution using compressed air spray. Worked! They know their apples and common problems :)

Apple has lost it ever since Steve Jobs died. Now all the care is about making more money for their shareholders. These guys don’t want to fix anything, they just want you to buy it new. I really needed to fix my iPhone 6 which stopped working. A simple battery replacement could fix the issue, but the “genius” employee offered me a new one for $300 instead. I had important information on that phone and they really don’t seem to care. As sad as it may sound, I would highly recommend you to take your product to a third party repair shop. You will have much better luck there. For example there is a Micro Center about 15 minutes away that will for sure help you.

It's worst experience of cell phone service, initially I had been told it will 15 min, but I was waited for more than hour. It is total mess. I would think next time phone purchase do I really need a I phone or not.

I walked in and said to the first employee I saw, "I have ONE question but otherwise know what I want to buy. My question has to do with my corporate discount." I was put on a waitlist and had to wait for a "specialist" to place the order and have it brought into the showroom (meanwhile, there were employees wandering the floor who were apparently not enough specialized to tap their iPad a few times...). Now that I know my corporate discount isn't worth much, I'll go to the more convenient and more efficient Best Buy.

Great Experience today. I had some issues with my laptop. I took it in for my appointment and Mercedes took care of them! She was professional, calm, and thorough. She explained what she was doing step by step to keep me in the loop. She found the problems and took the laptop. In 15 min, she came back with all the problems fixed. My appreciations and compliments to Mercedes for her excellent customer service!

These guys wanted $79 plus tax for battery replacement on my iPhone 5 even though there are folks who got a free replacement phone if the battery was found to be faulty. So went online and got the replacement battery and tools for just over 7 bucks. Also, I asked about why my contact was not being backed up to iCloud even though phone was configured to do so and they had zero clue. And, don't even bother making an appointment since the chances are, they'll get that wrong as well. Service sucks and they should at least wear a mask before robbing customers.

My iPhone got thoroughly drenched in a thunderstorm. 'No fault of Apple's. I made an appointment at Genius Bar. I was seen promptly, even though the store was very busy. The employees were very geezer-friendly. They gave me a deal I couldn't resist on a new phone and got it set up and running in a flash. I'd give it 5 stars, but can't bring myself to say I "love" any commercial interaction.

Fantastic team I would like to share my wonderful experience with best team @ Apple store in Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax Virginia I want to say thanks a lot to them, they helped me to solve my order problem and they dealt with the situation in a professional way, I want to send a big thanks to the store manager (Luis Prieto) he is such a very nice person that I met, this person was really above and beyond, he was able to solve all the issues that I had in my online order and mad me left very happy from the store that night with my Iphone, his care mad me came again next day to buy another Iphone for my son. Also I want to thank his wonderful team specially (Hektor) & (the very nice lady from Jordan) for all what they did for me and my son to get our phones. Horrible customer service! i worked all summer saving up to get an iphone 7 then after one year of using it it randomly shut off, so i went to the apple store and they said it had an internal problem so i wanted to replace it and they were trying to make me pay 320 dollars plus tax to replace it with the same phone. I waited 10 days without using my phone and it got me frustrated because i saved up all my money to buy my iphone 7 256gb and then it is unusable after 1 year of using it. Horrible customer service!! Rethink before you buy a phone from apple.
