I have a very hard time spending money on the stuff you buy here because it is donated and they are charging more then a average working person can afford.

Robert St Don

Nice but crowded with furniture at times They need a mat near records when ur looking at records on your knees it tends to hurt them when ur on cement floor

Nicole Adams

I love ReSOURCE. This is a great place to go for a used computer or laptop or a hard-to-find electronics accessory like a power adapter, cable or a mouse or keyboard. They carry a lot of used furniture, although sometimes prices on that are fairly high considering that it is all donated. Not a fancy store by any means, but it's well organized and they use all of their floor space. Oh, and one of the few places in town that sells used mattresses for great prices, which they steam treat before selling.

Their computer dept. great professional service. inexpensive as far as computers go. they specialize in older computers, for newer computers and components you might find yourself running to bestbuy or staples for that computer part, if you want new. but still the best service, and great repair work. done in a timely manner. i would highly suggest taking your malfunctioning computer there for repair.

The Burlington Resource, would not recommend: Very dis-loyal. Got "fired", from they're Burlington Store, through the department of labor, because they are unfit for business; will not even speak to a man. They're HR & public figure: Bethany Johnson, wanted to give me its card, for a reference; I burned it. Told me I was a hard worker; the reference that doesn't fly on a resume. They where planning to "black-ball" me: for not playing social-butterfly games with them. Nor chain-smoking a pack of camels. The entire store smells strongly of fecal-matter. Yet they say: I smell bad & they're weirdo employees -former manager & public figure: Jake Schuman -have false sympathy for my homelessness (I have a place to stay, also Internet). On a related note they're bathrooms are completely unmaintained. The pock-marks of they're cement floor (unset; great for flooding) contained standing, sewage water (colored black; best kind). They're employee bathroom has a hole in it -two actually the cabinet in front of the hole, has a hole. The parking lot is full of huge pot-holes & frequently flooded. Ever one to mind they're bottom line, rather than they're obligations as a non-profit: the store stays open. They're shelves are dirty & unsorted. The store's layout makes no sense what-so-ever: There are books everywhere. The prices make no sense; costing the same as/ more than new. To deter homeless from using they're back alley, the hilarious & weak: "Police take note; no trespassing" was drafted, & the slack mouth, 12 o' clock, B mall creeper (Nick) -the deputy manager -camped out back : .75 x 12 in-ish, tan-papered, pyrotechnic devices in hand. They're employees are rude & disgruntled: Every time, the middle aged women in computers opened her mouth, all that came out was some rude attempt to manipulate me out of working there. They’re employees all smoke & take the same frequent smoke breaks, leaving no supervision. Paid elderly employees & women -who also take same smoke-breaks -are shown preference & displayed as "volunteers". Same elderly "volunteers" are illiterate & unable to do math, nor use a calculator, to find ten percent of standard market price. On occasion (2 separate instances) a sack bodied. frog faced, bull-type lesbian talks about one, behind they're back: offering such mock sympathy as: "they're are plenty of places for him to work, he should at least look." cause social-butterfly-ism/ manipulation practice. This leads to MOAR nothing, on my part. The police are called, to manipulate silence out of they're detractors. These disgraced NYPD, show up stumbling & bumbling without a clear understanding of criminal statutes: With such mockery as "Don't reach out to her; she's crazy", "If you have a problem with her you need to reach up to (it's) superiors." Way back in the day: they failed to train me in refrigeration & abruptly cut the paid portion of a training program. Despite this I was stupid enouph to give these charletans a second chance. They later promoted one Bickmore to: out in Williston somewhere, for maximum charleton-ism. Resource bots/ sock-puppet accounts I have blocked throughout the years: Sarah Marie, Ashley Marie. Suspected: Ann Marie, Amanda Marie, Marie of Magdalene. For conjectures sake: "they're truck is Assured (uninsured)." "They never pay they're rent on time." Remarkable experience, unfortunately most of us have had nothing but positive to say. Hope you're able to make peace with this and other things." -edit: "Remarkable experience, unfortunately most of us have had nothing but positive experiences. Hope you're able to make peace with this and other things." -Translation: I am (fired employee) Johnson-bot: drink-eth my Kewl-aid.""Reviews are off nao." Awful business, would not give even 1 star, but Facebook forces me. Perhaps rather than spouting such meaningless abstractions: “motivation”- “ambition” & “succeeding”, the alternating neophobes/ pederasts should get around to actual work.

Good place to buy used things

Resource/Restore has lots of second hand items. Washing machines, dryers, electronics, computer monitors, books, music albums, furniture, children's items, glassware, craft items etc. We bought a desk for our preteen for $50 and are really happy with it. We also got an extension cord, 2 metal spoons for our parrot to play with, some new markers, india ink with fountain nibs and a lamp. It's always hit or miss, but always fun to wander through the store.

It's a very strange mix of things for a thrift sort of store. They have some, reasonably priced, but expensive items. They also have what many would call trash. I wouldn't recommend it if you're just browsing for something you could surely find at goodwill. Their furniture selection is large though and there's plenty of interesting pieces for the thrifty computer geeks.

Kerry Batdorf

Used washing machine bad moldy smell, not cleaned at all.

It's an excellent place to get gently used furniture and HomeGoods. They do have an electronic section as well. If you like a more rustic look to your home this is a good place to start for furniture.

I love buying used! This is the place for it. A community-centric store aiming to help people build job skills and improve their lives by preparing and selling everything from furniture to books to computers and more. I'm staring at my exceptional-quality near-perfect-condition four-drawer maple hardwood dresser I just got for $75 from there, and it's really quite a nice piece. Yesterday I also got a lovely vintage ball-bearing whistle tea kettle for $3, and it's better than our electric one. Go for a stroll and maybe you'll find something that enhances your home for cheap, and help support your community at the same time! As for cushions, they heat-treat everything they sell, so don't fear bugs!

My girlfriend was moving recently, so we needed to downsize her belongings a bit. We packed up a nice wooden shelf with two removable levels inside, and headed to Resource to donate it. I might add that this shelf was purchased at this store in this past. The girl who greeted us seemed snippy right off the bat, for no discernible reason other than, perhaps, our presence, and curtly asked us to pull out the shelf unit so it could be inspected. The two shelves that rest on the inside of the pegs were removed for transportation, and despite it being obvious how it would look with the shelves in it, she insisted we put it together anyways, which we did. The two shelves each rested on 4 small, metal removable pegs, and while putting it together, we noticed one of them was missing. I told the girl about this, and said a simple screw could be used in it's place. With a rather annoyed tone, she said "We don't repair furniture..." Seriously? 30 seconds and a screw driver could have fixed this situation, but I guess that's too much work for these folks. While she was quibbling with my girlfriend, trying to convince her to drive home to look for the peg, I proposed that I would put a screw in to remedy the issue myself. She said, "Well, I guess we can just get rid of one of the shelves..." What?? For a store called "Resource" they don't seem particularly resourceful to me... Now, my patience running thin, I said that rather than see the shelving unit maimed and resold, I would rather put it on the side of the road with a "Free" sign on it. She then said, "Excuse me, sir, I am having a conversation here?" This is the point I realized she did not want to talk to me, as my girlfriend seemed apologetic enough to suggest we might return with the missing peg, should it be found... She then said: "Sir, I just said I would take it!", rolled her eyes, and carried the shelf off. If she thinks we are returning with the peg, she is mistaken. I would rather smash the shelf into 1000 pieces than give her the satisfaction. You would think that if you are donating a quality ware to a business that ostensibly prides itself on fixing such things up, they might treat you without contempt. Such expectations are misplaced here. Spend your dollars on your second-hand goods elsewhere - these folks don't deserve them.

BEWARE!!BEWARE!! I contacted this organization in July because of there storied history in Burlington, I was wrong to do so. I merely asked when they could come to my home in Colchester to pickup some stuff that I wanted to donate, I was told anytime during the next week. I informed them I would be out of town until the 25th and would contact them when I would be back, I made the mistake of giving them my address. While I was gone they came and took said Items, They also took a solid oak 6x4 mirror that was on the opposite side of the porch and a brand new (one week old) walker that my Handicapped Brother uses. After numerous attempts to get that stuff back and an empty promise from management that it "Would be back on Thursday" management now will not answer my phone calls nor return them. SHAME ON YOU RESOURCE. You have lost a customer for life. Please if you are going to donate to this company make sure you are home and watch what they are doing the entire time.

Thrift lite. Great little local spot to check out. The selection is usually rather sparse unfortunately but the key time to check this place out is after the local colleges break for summer and the students leave town at which point the selection is quite good. The one thing I have noticed as of late is prices have really begun to rise on furniture, almost to the point where buying new becomes a better option. Give this place a try you never know what you may find on any given day.

Antenna Wilde

Ridiculously high prices for what you're getting; torn frat couches, beat up furniture etc. It's fine if you want to sell used crap you get for free, but don't price it like it's antiques for god's sake!

Love stopping by to see what great funds I can score. I have bought cabinets, mirrors, desk, marble slab and tons more.
