This business is such a delight. I am not very tech-savvy, and whenever I have an issue with my laptop or even my phone, often times, it'll be some small issue I just don't have the tech expertise to solve, these guys are so helpful, kind, and patient and solve the problem as quickly and affordably as possible, often not even charging me anything if it's something they can do on the spot. They have even counseled me on the phone several times to resolve a tech issue. I've had to turn the computer in, I think once, and they were very timely and stayed in communication about the progress. Very professional, friendly, and experts! Thank you, Green Earth!

Bad news is that I've had Iphone, tablet and laptop issues in the last year or so. Good news is that each time the folks at Green Earth were able to accurately diagnose, clearly communicate to me and/or repair the item within a reasonable time and at a fair price. It's great to have a local small business that I trust because at some point all the tech gadgets are going to need repair or replacement.

I can’t say enough positive things about the people who work and own Green Earth Computers. Just days before I was suppose to move out of MA and begin a new job, the hard drive on my MacBook Pro called it quits (what I didn’t know was that my RAM had also). I had heard good things about this place, so I brought my computer in, told them that I needed a new HD, and that I was moving so I needed it fast. Not only did they give me realistic expectations for when it would be done, but they also weren’t willing to compromise on quality by just replacing and returning- what I’m saying is they could have just taken my money but they didn’t and I’m so grateful. Because of their attention to detail and commitment to the highest level of service, my computer will be with me for years to come (and at a competitive price). While this was all well and good- it’s not why they got 5 stars from me. Largely due to outside forces (the blizzard) I wasn’t able to pick-up my repeated computer before I left and they went and helped me out of a pickle by overnighting it to me in DC. It arrived the day before I started my new job and I can’t say enough about how important that was. This place is a gem.

Brought a laptop in to get serviced in early October. After a free diagnosis I decided to go ahead with the the recommended motherboard repair which would take no less than 3 weeks (apparently). Around the expected return date I received no update/communication from the business after a few emails and calls. The next week (now 4+ days late) I found out it was being shipped out and would be there by that weekend, which would make it just over a week late. When it didn't arrive that weekend I assumed they strapped it to a mule and were walking it across the country. I received The laptop today, officially 12 days late (Originally due back November 4th, and although everything seems fine, I cannot get over the delay. After requesting a discount for terrible estimation of delivery and service. I was given an astounding amount of $5 off the price of my total (Less than 4%). Sure it could have been a problem with UPS, but I would expect much better knowledge of where the laptop is and a much better discount than what was given for a service being done 12 days past due. Dealing with no laptop in college is a pain, and this made the aggravation 100x worse. I will not do business with again, I am giving 2 stars because Kiernan was a very nice guy in person. In any similar situation I would expect the business to accept responsibility for the delay and not blame it on UPS, I did not conduct business with UPS, I conducted business with Green Earth computers their inept service department across the country.

My computer screen wouldn't turn on. At first it was only occasionally, but then it was most of the time. When I brought it to Green Earth Computers, it started working again, but only til I brought it to a nearby cafe. So I brought it back again. Kiernan got the screen to turn on again. He patiently and creatively worked with it until he identified the problem. He made it easy for me to understand what was going on with it and gave me clear choices about my options. I really appreciated that Kiernan didn't push me into purchasing extra parts. I felt like the money I paid was fair and worthwhile. I was very happy to have my computer cooperating again so I could complete my school work.

We were sold a refurbished iPad that we used for about 2 hours/week for a few months. One day it wouldn't turn on, they told us the screen was dead, and then they told us the iPad probably had water damage and they couldn't offer a refund. We took very good care of this device. This place is a complete scam, go through Apple instead.

When the fan in my 6 year old laptop stopped working I was at a loss. I really didn't want to buy a new machine (having just spent $1300 on a car repair) but gosh - how can I live without Ravelry and Facebook and Google news? The kid at Staples told me they'd have to send the laptop out and it would cost about $350, saw my shock and then lowered his voice saying "Green Earth Computers in Northampton can fix it cheaper and faster." The next day I went down to Croft Avenue and was impressed with professionalism and helpfulness. I am very pleased. I have a new fan and fan housing and everything seems to be running fine. I'm writing this because today's E-mail brought a follow-up note asking if the laptop was still running ok. Can you imagine -- they want to make sure they fixed my problem!!! OMG -- Guess they've made a fan for life.

Came in after the other computer shop in town told be they wouldn't be able to look at my laptop (a had a MacBook with a damaged keyboard after a liquid spill) for 5ish days, and also quoted diagnostics at $90. Figured it couldn't hurt to walk over to to Green Earth computers and see if they could help out sooner. They could, and the guy I talked to (forgot to ask him his name, sorry person!) did a quick check to make sure it wasn't a relatively quick fix like wiping down the internal components. I highly suspect that if that had worked there would have been a nominal or no charge, which is lovely. Ended up leaving it with them to run diagnostics (for $65, which if you have them do repairs counts toward your final cost). They updated me by text and email to let me know a few days later what the diagnostics had turned up, let me ask over the phone bunch of probably super basic questions without once being condescending, ordered parts and did repairs and got back to me in a few days. Quick pickup at the store, very reasonable price for parts and labor, told me I could come in anytime in the next 30 days if I had any issues. Overall some the nicest, easiest electronics repair shop I've been to and I've broken and tried to fix a lot of things over the years. Oh and also I needed a short mini USB cable that they didn't have in stock and so the guy (sorry again!) Popped in the back and grabbed me one and just let me have it. These are good folks to have in town.

Went here after Yes Computers and they will charge me $60 for a service that was quoted as $250 by Yes. Plus the people at Green Earth are way friendlier and super helpful as well as honest. They are now my go to for any technology issues

My partner's phone had gotten dropped in water the week before I took it in to Green Earth. When I got the quote, I was worried because they said it would take 3-5 business days alone to get the part since they had to ship it from California, and even then the lcd screen may be wrecked forever but 3 days later they emailed me back saying it was fixed and I could come pick it up. It was $120, 60 for the part and 60 for the labor but since my partner doesnt back up his phone it wasn't worth it to just get a new one. It was working great when we got it back but now, mysteriously, the screen is cracking randomly even when he puts it in his front pocket and leaves it there with no keys or anything. I hate to assume that Green Earth weakened the glass screen somehow during reassembly, but I can't eliminate the possibility. We go to college in amherst and they were the closest phone repair place that would fix LG phones, so we cant say that we would go somewhere else next time necessarily.

Our hard drive crashed at work and we called Green Earth as well as other local and regional computer repair companies. The man who answered the phone at Green Earth was well spoken and empathetic. I appreciated that he understood the importance of point of sale system for a small retailer during the busy season. Green Earth contacted their tech and he was at our store within 90 minutes. (The other companies said it would at least 6 hours before they could send someone to look at our system.) Their rates were $25 less p/h than other companies, and they didn't charge a travel fee. After a thorough evaluation Ed from Green Earth had diagnosed the problem, assessed the damage, and came up with three options for us based on our time and budget constraints. Greg from Green Earth took care of the actual install, and stayed three hours after Green Earth's closing time and an hour before they open in order to accommodate our retail hours. Both Greg and Ed were professional, efficient, and all around extremely pleasant to work with, (especially considering a lot of the work was done in small spaces and often in the hubbub of a busy retail environment). It took a few more visits to get our new drive and our old software and peripherals working but Green Earth had someone contacting us either in person or by phone daily. It is reassuring that when I call the company I recognize the voice of the person who answers the phone. Someone usually arrives within an hour to fix our problem and Ed even follows up with a phone call or a visit in person on the work performed. It is a please to do business with Green Earth. All their employee are knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. Also, they are very nice people who obviously enjoy what they do. They solved all of our problems, have excellent customer service, and charge very competitive rates. I can not recommend Green Earth Computers highly enough.

When I found out that my Geek Squad guys at Best Buy in Hadley were gone, I went into a complete panic. They had done a great job with all my computer problems and I felt lost and especially anxious because my Dell case was cracked and I could hardly open up my computer. But...I got turned on to Green Earth Computers as an alternative and gosh was I pleased. From the moment I arrived at their shop on Crafts Ave. until a week later when my computer came back as good as new, I knew I had found a new home for all of my tech needs. Everyone at the shop was very knowledgeable (and super geeky, thank goodness) and treated me with so much respect. I now have a 'go to' place for when my computer needs help and this is a great relief!!

I tried to upgrade an old desktop but was in over my head! I brought it in with a hard drive, some cables, and RAM. Even though the shop closed in 30 minutes, they took time to give me a quote. It turned out to be an easy fix, and extremely inexpensive! When it got close to closing time, I said I could leave it with them. However, they insisted I stay, and got it running again. They went the extra mile to check the performance, and recommend which parts I might need to upgrade first. They explained the process to me in a way that was easy to understand, but not condescending. A++ would come here every time.

When I brought my computer to this place last year it was running slow and seemed to have trouble locking up on occasion. We also told them it would always want to update but never did. They replaced the hard drive charged us $200 and said we were good to go... The computer ran better but still didn't seem right. We were way too busy with other family issues and never had time to persue the issue. Now we have moved south and found a local place to fix all our issues. Apparently Green Earth was so busy with so many computer repairs they forgot to replace all the screws in our computer, there was Malware so bad they had to wipe out everything and start from scratch. I feel as if were were ripped off by Green Earth and I would never recommend them to anyone. They "band aid" fixed my computer when I asked for a complete fix. They are making customers feel as if they care but ultimately they are just there to get you in and out without making it a long term solution as they promised. Not worth the $$!! If I could give them 0 stars I would!
