I did some research on computer repair businesses online and made a few phone calls. I made a great decision with The PC Smith1. The technician was right on time at 2:30 and spent 2 1/2 hours working on my computer, while i watched and asked questions. He explained everything he was doing. he was very knowledgeable and friendly. His prices were a flat rate no matter how long he had to be here. He did a complete tune up and got rid of many programs I did not use. Most importantly he got rid of a lot of malware viruses, which my paid-for anti-virus program let through. He even taught me how to defragment, clean the disk, and a few other things to keep my computer running better. I will never call anyone else if I need help with my computer. He definitely deserves a 5 star rating.

Johnathan, owner of PC Smith1 helped me with a printer problem yesterday. I met him at his shop in Orem. His goal in meeting with me was to fix the problem and teach me how to do it myself next time. I was so impressed with that! He went through all the steps with me, spending a lot of time trouble shooting only to have the printer refuse to cooperate. Wonderful experience with Johnathan. Many of the big name brick and mortar stores often nickel and dime you, charging you simply to run diagnostic tests before even figuring out was wrong. I'm sure that this cannot always be the case but here, I was charged for the work he did. Figuring out what work needed to be done was out part of it. Again, probably not always the case but I highly recommend him.

This guy is the best! I bought a PSU and GPU off of the Facebook marketplace and upon installing the components the GPU blew. I wasn't sure if it was the GPU or PSU and decided to look up computer repair to test both for me. I went to his home and was really nice about the circumstance and was able to test the components in my computer with his own components to compare. Everything was figured out and also gave me some great tips about overclocking as well which he graciously showed me. It was a great overall experience and would recommend him to anyone looking for some extra help on their PC.

I had problems with my laptop's cooling fan. Other computer repair services said it would be anywhere from $120 to $160, and that it could be a couple weeks to get the part. I emailed Johnathon and he said I could drop it off that same day. I dropped off my laptop Friday afternoon, and had it back by Monday evening, and it cost me a third of the price. When he found a potentially more expensive problem, he offered me another brand new laptop for a discounted price if the problem couldn't be easily fixed. I am so pleased with his awesome service, amazing prices, and prompt responses to my emails. I wouldn't take my laptop anywhere else.

John was very quick and responsive--I had been trying to upgrade my SSD with a bootable USB, but nothing was working. I explained to him what I had tried to do, he explained to me what he would do with it, then got back to me within a couple of hours, explaining that I had bad new SSD. He didn't charge me for the work, which was very nice of him, and even if he had, the price he would have charged would have been less than half of Geek Squad's data transfer price. Great service, very responsive and fast, 10/10 recommend!

I recently purchased a used laptop from my husband's school as they were providing new ones to all the teachers. I thought I was getting a good deal at $150, but the laptop arrived with a dying hard drive. This was a no money back purchase. I found PC Smith 1 and asked them if there was any hope in salvaging the laptop that wouldn't be more expensive then just purchasing a new one. My laptop now has a new hard drive, and is completely tuned up for smooth sailing for years to come. I don't know a thing about technology, but I know who to go to now! I sought out the PC Smith to fix a cracked touch screen on my laptop. I was a little confused when I pulled up and realized that the PC Smith operates out of an apartment complex, but I decided to give him a shot, and I was very satisfied with the service. He was super flexible with scheduling a time to meet up with me and sounded like he knew his stuff. He ordered the part I needed within minutes and began working on the repair the day it arrived. He was really good about keeping me up to date on the progress of the shipping and the repair. It would have been a perfect story, but he had a mishap while reassembling my laptop. He told me that a static short likely fried some connections and the laptop wouldn't turn on. He took full responsibility for the accident and bought me a brand new laptop that was a newer model of the one I had. He even offered to refund my money for the repair. I turned him down on the refund, and he went to the trouble of cleaning up my new laptop from bloatware, downloaded antivirus protection, and converted the hard drive from my old laptop into an external hard drive. Its cool to see small business's like this operate with such exceptional professionalism and treat their customers so well. I am very happy with the experience, and he has earned a customer for life.
