**Update** They ended up not charging us for the data transfer or the external hard drive. Just some miscommunications and misunderstandings, I think. I sent an email to the response below. Thanks for trying to remedy our concerns. We took our HP laptop to them for repair. They tried really hard to sell my wife on a trade in instead of repair. We just wanted it repaired. They thought that it was the A/C charging port. They said they have to ship it out and order a part and they would contact us in a week or so... well, 4 weeks later, we call and ask what the status is. They said the part should be there the next day and they would have it ready for us... then 3 days later, given it was a holiday weekend, they called me instead of my wife and said it was unfixable and tried again to sell me on how valuable some of the components were and they'd cut me a deal on a trade in. What?! You just told my wife you were waiting on a part for repair. Why did this take 4 weeks?! And now it's unfixable? So I asked them to transfer to an external HD but if I bought the hard drive from them they would do it for free. He also tried to sell me on this "special cord" I will need to transmit to and from the external hard drive... you mean a USB cable?? Nah, I'm good. Unfortunately we had a poor experience here.

This place is great as long as you are OK to pay for quality. Their prices might shock you, but so will their computers. Seriously fantastic. Their service is absolutely stellar as well. It feels a little sales oriented at times, but you can't blame a business for selling. I had a computer with a filled up hard drive I couldn't fix. While they were fixing it, they noticed that the hard drive had some pre-existing issues. The immediately replaced it for free, and had me back on my machine quickly. Thanks PC Laptops.

I had been calling all over the surrounding cities to find a Display Port cable and was not able to find one. I finally called PCLaptops in Riverdale and spoke to Dan. I asked him if they carried them, which they didn't, and then I asked him if he knew anywhere that did. He gave me a few places to check (which I already had, but I appreciated his input anyways), and when I let him know that I had checked these places, one of his coworkers, Sean, found one of his own extra Display Port cables lying around, and offered to give it to me for free. Fantastic service. Will be returning with any computer questions I have.

I love pc laptopsI I took my tower into riverdale yesterday along with 2 printers that iIwant that computer to use and CODY fixed the problem in 5 minutes . When I got home and hooked everything up the printer that was not my main printer is the one that printed so I called riverdale and they set me up with support services. They fixed the problem in 5 minutes again. I also took my lap top and the printer I wanted it to print to but the printer did not work so again I called riverdale and once more I had to call support services. They called and fixed the problem in about 5 minutes so my point is that I took my tower and 2 printers in and they were fixed in a timely manner and so were my laptop and that printer associated with my laptop and when I had to call support again they took care of the problem again. I am so happy that both my tower and my laptop and all 3 printers are all working just great Pc laptops is the best. I am so happy that I invested in PC laptops 2 times and now I am going for a 3rd computer with PC laptops. I'm so glad PC laptops is here and all the people in Riverdale are so nice to me. So, this has been long overdue, but in October, my laptop screen stopped working, so I took it to PC Laptops. I was ready to pay a hefty amount to get it fixed, since I need it for school, but when Shawn Pickering looked at it, he just had to disconnect and reconnect something, and he did it at no charge since there were no new parts. We brought my husband's computer to be diagnosed. The employees were super helpful and friendly. They answered every question with detailed information. Their employees are a lot more knowledgeable about what they're doing than other electronic/computer stores. They know all of their products thoroughly and give you a run down to find a computer that is capable of all your needs from school work to gaming. If they're unsure about something they quickly find an answer for you. They also do trade-ins if that's what you're looking for. They also offer refreshments, which is nice.

These guys are awesome! I was dubious about going to PC Laptops (not a fan of their ad campaign), but I was having an issue with the power supply on my son's computer and didn't know where else to go. Fox diagnosed the problem in about 30 seconds and had it fixed in less than 5 minutes. He was kind enough to lug the computer tower back out to my car. I was really impressed with their competence and that there was zero pressure to buy anything. I'll definitely be back for my next computer issue.

I was very pleased with my experience at this store. I had to have the screen on my iPhone replaced and, as far as I could find, PC Laptops had the best price so I brought it in to them even though I had never used their services before. The staff was friendly as they replaced my screen and everything on it looked great though I found out later that night the earpiece didn't work anymore when making phone calls. I brought my phone in again the next day and they were able to take a quick look and fix the issue for me even though I wasn't able to get in until shortly before the store closed. Overall, the staff was friendly and very accommodating in taking care of what I needed quickly and efficiently, I would gladly use them again.

I went in for a problem with my iTunes. I just wanted to see if they could tell me why it wouldn't load all the way (Apple couldn't even tell me so maybe a computer expert could). But instead of looking into the problem they very slyly redirected my attention to a 'failing hard drive'. I don't blame them for talking me into buying a $2000 computer that feels like it's cheaply made because that's my fault 100%, but what makes me angry is that they never even looked into my initial problem so now I have an overly expensive laptop with the same stinking problem. At least tell me you can't fix the problem or you don't know what it is instead of redirecting my attention. I feel like I was completely crapped on and am totally ashamed of even going there in the first place. I will never recommend them and will never go back.

I was having issues with a computer I built and I brought it into these guys for one of their free check-ups. During my initial visit, they did various tests and spent a good amount of time trying to diagnose what was wrong. While they couldn't say for sure, they guessed that my motherboard was the issue. As such, I sent my motherboard in for RMA and got a replacement. When I tried rebuilding my PC by myself, I couldn't get my computer to work and I was pretty devastated. I brought my PC back into this shop and they did a PHENOMENAL job figuring out what was wrong. They figured out that I had re-installed a part wrong after literally taking apart nearly every part of my computer. Cody did a great job taking the time to help me figure out what was wrong. He went well above and beyond what I ever thought they would do. As a free examination, I was simply expecting a couple of tests to diagnose what was wrong. But boy was I in store for a great experience. Cody, like I said, took apart nearly every part of my computer to figure out what was wrong. He figured out what was wrong and thoroughly tested his fix to ensure it was working. I was extremely impressed by his drive to figure out the issue and fix it. And it wasn't just the fact that he fixed the issue. Other shops could have fixed it and maybe even I could have fixed it over time. But not only did Cody get it done quickly, he has such a good attitude the entire time. He made it seem like I was the absolute top priority at the time, he cared about me and my computer, and was a very friendly person. I was amazed with my experience there and it was truly one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. PC Laptops has more than earned my future experience and I will recommend them to anyone I can.

Called in early Saturday afternoon seeing if they had an SLI bridge since I upgraded another graphics card and the bridge I had the spacing was too long. Told me they would check their warehouse on Monday and follow up with me Monday. Turns out they came across one the same Saturday and gave me a call to come pick it up. My name Norm AKA Storman Norman, I am an disabled vet from the Nam era. I want to take some time to let the general public know of the kind courteous and professional service that I received at the P.C Laptop in Riverdale and at the P.C Laptops store at the south entrance of Hill A.F.B. Several times I did not have any money and a very old lap top to boot but they went out of their way several times spending hours to help me resolve issues with my laptop. Cody and Danny at the Riverdale store transferred the information of the hard drive of my old computer when the screen went bad for a hundred dollars well worth the money especially when I had a book that I have spent 17 years on. I would not trust it to just any store with something important to me. I trust P.C Laptops by the employees that truly put their heart into their work. Thanks P.C Laptops!

I see on the back of her tower that PC Laptops built it for her so I give them a call and ask them if they have these cords for sale. I explain my situation, and they just gave me the cords. $20.00 or so, I would have bought them myself but they were so nice to grab some spare ones and just wish me on my way. They only temporarily fixed my problem and it came right back, so I knew I had to go to someone who I trusted to do a great job. I knew from an experience I had years ago that PC Laptops would be it and I wasn't wrong. They had excellent service right from the start, offering me a beverage each time I came in. They were even nice to my four small kids who kept sneaking candy from their candy bowl as I talked to them. Long story short, they fixed up my computer good as new and now it runs better than before it started having issues.

We recently purchased a laptop for my son. He wanted to update the SSD for faster speed and performance. The card we bought required an M.2 screw to install. For some odd reason, the package did not include this very important part. I called PC Laptops in Riverdale and spoke with Fox. He did not hesitate to look for one. At first, I was told this was very hard to find...well, he found one!! Only one, but the golden one!! I was so happy with the customer service. Will be going here for all our service needs!! We dropped of two computers. First was freezing, and was still under warranty. They told me when I dropped it off I would need a new mother board and it was full of viruses. They contacted me and said it did not need a new mother board, tried to upsell a virus detector. And the computer still freezes. The second computer, the said it would take two weeks to get a hardware part. It ended up being over a month of waiting. We contacted PC Laptops on SLC, because we could not get a competent employee on the phone who could tell us the status of our second computer. They calimed "We called, but wasn't able to leave a voice mail". I do not recommend anyone using this business. Free sodas for people who enjoy corn syrup and diabetes, tho.

My laptop had an issue with the display cable. Jake said no problem and opened up the computer. He tightened it and resolved the issue. They said it was an easy fix and was complimentary. Needed a new laptop for myself/the fam. Bought my last computer from Dell, so I looked through theirs again as well as looking at some Mac products. My sister works for a Defense corporation and uses an HP, but said if she had to use her own money she would not buy that one. Decided to look at PC Laptops because of the commercials and the fact that without good Customer Service, the computer I bought from Dell really sucked. Danny at Riverdale led me through the process and even talked me down from the super gaming graphic laptop because I don't play games. Went over all I wanted and might need and purchased. Little more than I might have paid online; however I know exactly what I desired is in the machine. Finally, the warranty and customer service availability sealed the deal. Hopefully, I won't even need to find out how good that service is.

First off, I was stupid and fell for a scam while using what we called our 'travel' laptop. (Danny at PC Laptops later told me that I did everything correctly after that, so perhaps I'm not totally stupid). Anyway, after crashing the travel computer to DOS and shutting it down, we took the poor laptop into PC Laptops in Ogden on Riverdale Road and pleaded for help. Thankfully their free virus check showed it wasn't totally ruined, but then we asked why it ran so slowly. Their Rep figured that out in less time than a gnat's wink, and it became obvious that yes, we really should replace the old Compaq. Then I mentioned my even older Dell laptop that was at least 11 years old that crashed a few years back and lost all the programs so now it just had the restored operating system, Vista (!). It was missing key covers; yes, it was just old. The Rep suggested that he might be able to give us some credit for both old laptops and could even recycle another old laptop with Windows 98. Wow, that was an offer I couldn't refuse, and guess what, now I've a brand new, screaming machine! My husband then decided to take in his 5-yr-old desktop to have it evaluated; turns out it was on its last legs. So with the discounts that applied by purchasing multiple computers at the same time, you guessed it, he now has a brand-spanking new desktop configured with what he needs with his photography, and two monitors. Thankx PC Laptops! We're now up to date on the computer front, have spyware and cloud storage, and best of all, someone to call for help the next time I do something stupid!

The prices are insane!!! Now, I know that they offer very high quality products. They have a lifetime warranty, which is great. However, they quoted me a price of $3500 for a computer I learned I can just build myself for $1200. Take the time to learn how to build a PC by yourself rather than go to an assembly shop. It takes a while to learn, but it will save you a ton of money.

Over priced ... over 8 years they have sold me lap tops that fall apart under warranty and they never work right afterwards always pushing me to upgrade promise that the upgrade will meet my needs .... My current PC lap top will be the last one they sell me ... It is in for the 4th repair a 4000.00 + cost and it can't edit a 15 min video without crashing.... Not even when new... I have friends who buy 900.00 best buy "disposable" off the shelf laptops who edit half hour videos for years with no issues. I could have 4 of those ... For the price of my PC laptop paperweight.
