Helped me purchase an iPhone XS Max with ease! I love Apple as a whole but I do think the process with the in the store experience could be refined in some ways.

My daughter went to get her phone’s battery replaced. She was told she had to make an appointment. So they gave her an appointment 5 hours later. When she went back, she found out that she had to leave her phone overnight to get the battery replaced. They said they couldn’t do it while she was waiting. Also they said she was 10 minutes late, but they would try to fit her in. Why couldn’t they fit her in earlier in the day when she first came to the store?? Now she has to go back a 3rd time to pick up her phone. Meanwhile there are many employees just standing around who apparently aren’t trained to come take a picture of her IMEI number. It was a very frustrating experience.

Employees are very nice and helpful. It is a very long wait for a battery replacement though, you have to schedule for a few days out. And it's really a racket: Apple intentionally reduces the functionality of the batteries of older phones and yet they still charge you at least $50 to replace your battery; very immoral. Also, you've got to do two appointments for a battery replacement. Very busy store.

Just took my broken Apple case back and they replaced it at no cost. I’ve had multiple experiences like this. Sure you pay a premium for their products but I’m happy to with the great service they provide. You may not know this, but they teach flosses regularly on coding, music production, art etc. it’s not your typical retail experience.

This store and Apple in general have failed and in the process lost a customer. I have been an Apple customer for years. I have a iPad, air pods, Apple Watch, MacBook, Apple TV and most of the services that apple provides. When my Apple Watch bugged out while updating I came here to get it fixed. They had to send it to Apple to get fixed which was fine. I was told that it would be free of charge. Three days later I got an email saying that in order to fix the watch I would have to pay for the repair. I then called up and got a very nice customer service agent and I was hopeful. Then she transferred me to her “ manager” or what ever the other ladies title was. She was rude the whole time on the phone. She said that the watch was sent in under a bad CS code, which came from this store, and that engineering team rejected the code and that I would have to pay for the repair. I told them to just send the watch back to me. I was not going to pay for a repair that I did not cause. If I had cracked the screen or caused damage my self I would have no problem paying for it. This was not the case. It was a software fail on their end. When I came to pick up the watch the gentleman who got it for me said the same thing that the other lady said and when I mentioned that I was not going to buy anymore Apple products he did not even try to save me as a customer. If there was even an effort to save me like offering 100 off a new watch I probably would have done it and they would have kept a customer in the process. I was looking at replacing my MacBook and iPad in the next month or so. I will not be getting my new laptop from Apple. I went straight from the Apple store to att and I will be getting a new Samsung phone when they are released later this month. I have always liked apple devices and sadly I won’t be buying any more.

Or have a list of employers that give a discount from Companies that do this for there employees on purchasing from Apple.. Other than that we left cause it took to long to get the pricing.

A couple years ago the Apple Store at City Creek broke my phone while trying to switch the battery. They sent me over to the Apple store at Fashion place to give me a new phone as a replacement. Fast forward to now (and this is partly my fault for not noticing - my phone has been in a case the whole time), I just realized they swapped my 6s PLUS for a 6s. I'm low key petty right now.

Gotta say I’m pretty disgusted with the hiring process at this store. “Hiring” an employee, telling them that HR will contact them with a start date, and then keep them on the hook for THREE MONTHS and then not even having the stones to cut them loose. Instead you make some random employee drop the news that even though you “hired” them you don’t plan on actually hiring them. I really hope corporate has something different to say because this is not how people should be treated.

I will not go into how high maintenance i was as I'm not an avid apple user. I will tell you how ALLY is an amazing person first and foremost and certainly must be their top employee second. She helped solve all my needs even when i had difficulty describing them. She went out of her way helping me even with a non apple pc that my library was on. Scheduled and appointment for a screen replacement. After waiting 30 minutes past the original time was advised my appointment was basically useless and told it would take 5 hours for the repair. I love out of the area and thought the appointment would actually have value. Terrible experience.

Never been impressed by any Apple Store. Employees typically cannot answer technical questions or even do simple troubleshooting. My wife's Macbook stopped working properly after 8 months and the Apple Store told us to buy a new one without doing any troubleshooting, just asked like 4 questions. We took it to a private company and they repaired it fully. We have since fully switched to the Microsoft Surface line (and Android) and were having a trouble with the touchscreen....Microsoft gave us a brand new device.

set an appt. the night before and went on 10 minutes early. an hour and a half later they finally decided to help me and then proceeded to tell me they could not help me because my appointment was cancelled. i checked in with the manager at the time of my arrival. they said that there was nothing they could do for me. not a great way to speak to people who spend over $4000.00 a year in their store.

Ok, so happy to have an Apple store near me but much happier to have the best people in my store wow my daughter and I went very early to the store and from the beginning the Manager took notice of us and gave us en excellent service but I must also recognize in particular Beth she realy showed us that she was on top of the issues and really cared for our situation although there was technical complications with our devices and technician equipment Beth engaged with us each time she came by helping us understand the situation, we understand that we live in a world that is not perfect and will encounter situation along the way but that is exactly when a Person like Beth stands and just makes it so much better. Whenever I’ve gone to this Apple Store, none of the employees there *actually* listen to what’s wrong with your phone or device. I’ve either been rushed through, or been told my only solution is to buy something. It’s like they don’t care what’s actually wrong. I know exactly what’s wrong with my device; because beforehand I always make sure to look up on Apple forums to see what’s actually wrong with my device. That is the only way to combat trying to get scammed out of your money, as if they only care about their cut of the sale. They can’t expect to keep getting away with this; especially in the advanced age of information. They should know what the problem is, and fix it. But I’ve never gotten that at this store. You’re better off to just go to the City Creek Store.

It is total chaos every time I have been there. Appointment or not. I try to avoid this store as much as possible. Warning! Be prepared to wait for along time. Often they can't even help you with your problem.

Mixed feeling about this place. I’ve had good and bad experiences. Great experience when purchasing my MacBook and Apple Watch. Horrible experience when I had an issue with my phone after an update. The software update installed and I took my phone to the store. They pushed the update like I could have done on my own, I just took it there in case there was another option without deleting all my files. They didn’t have any tricks or any other option other than to format my phone. All of my images of my son’s first year of life were lost. They couldn’t do anything to recover this. The employee said, “your hardware wasn’t powerful enough for our software release”...... dumbest tech answer ever. My iphone was only a year older the time. Also, Apple should have tested better before releasing an update that would have done that to my phone. My suggestion to everyone is please backup your photos and videos! Google has that service for free. It would have been worth to pay for a service too. I was devastated to lose all of my son’s pictures and videos from the first year of his life and his first birthday party and they couldn’t do anything to recover that. You would think being one of two Apple stores in Utah they could. Instead they wanted to send me to some 3rd party in Cali for $700 minimum. Oh, and it took 3 hours between waiting and getting help to come to this conclusion.... it cool. Open another store in Utah county already.

We were helped by Doug. At first there was some confusion and we weren’t actually checked into receive our device until after an hour of being told we were. Aside from other team members being confused, Doug figures out what was going on. He worked out a couple kinks and made sure the replacement for our phone worked and was logged into the correct iCloud, even staying after his shift had ended. Thank you Doug!

I thought when I was at the fashion mall place, I see an Apple Store I can stop by and purchase an iPod touch while I was there. It might seem weird, but I was looking for maybe buying iPod touch as a backup device. I think that might sound strange when I ask Apple associates where iPod touch is and how much it is and if I can buy it. I tried to ask this associate who I thought she was free, but she told me it was in front of the store and she went back to busy with her work device. I asked another sales associate who I thought was also free, she just seemed standing and talking to another associate doing nothing, she then told me it was back in the store in the storage room, I tried to ask around but everyone seem to be busy helping with other customers. I don't know what to do besides trying to purchase from apple website. So this Apple Store just lose business from me.

Hey apple I just wanted to let everyone reading this review know that my husband and I have never felt mistreated like we did the day that we last went to visit I’ll repost the exact date when I look at the receipt again but not to long ago my husband and I went to apple to purchase a pair of AirPods and thankfully there was a really helpful employee that guided us where to go so anyway once we got to the guy that had them he’s the one that had the worst customer service we asked for them AirPods and he handed them over so unwillingly then we paid asked for our receipt and a bag with the worst attitude he said”well you should get it through email you should know that already and bags we don’t have any more” but yet there were many customers with one ugh seriously just wanted to share this terrible experience And let apple know that I thought they hired nice people not some with nasty attitude I hope corporate or the general manager look Into this

Wife took my MacBook Air in and was told the computer needed an update to fix the problem. She asked if the computer needed to be backed up in case everything was lost and the “genius” said, “no it’s very unlikely anything will be lost.” Computer got wiped clean. All my photos and notes from my undergrad gone. Cool. Kind of arrogant and wreckless staff. Back your stuff up and don’t believe what they tell you or you’ll get burned.

Poor Customer Experience. Rather than fixing the issue they tried to blame the software update problem on a hardware issue and then blamed me. The iPhone 8+ worked perfectly until the software update and then the phone crashed hard. Lost all video's, pictures and everything else. All things computers and phones I have purchased in the last 15 years have been through apple. Time to make a change.

Was a little apprehensive when I first came to this location as it was super busy. I had scheduled an appointment prior and t was my first time at an Apple store so I wasn’t really sure how things worked. An Apple Specialist then greeted and approached me helping me with my need. The staff are too young and immature and not professional at all. Went in November to make a purchase and one of the sales agents was standing in front of the watch display. He could see I was trying to get to the watch and would not budge to get out of the way. Finally I asked could you scoot over and he gave me a very bad look and vibe. Instead of offering to move he was rude and very unprofessional. Very chaotic and disorganized when busy.

I must admit, I'm not an Apple guy. I don't use Apple products, nor do I frequent Apple Stores. A work errand brought me to this location to purchase a Mac mini, and I was amazed by my experience. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a friendly salesperson who asked me if I knew what I was looking for. I gave them the specs of the device I wanted and they immediately placed the order from her iPhone. I asked to look at other cables and they took me over to the shelf in the back. As I decided on cables, another person came out quickly with the device and I paid for the device on the spot. I was in and out of the store within 5 minutes. Kudos for creating a great experience!

Great employees. We forgot to get a discount we were eligible for and went back in. The supervisor we had refunded the difference to our card. The whole thing only took 10 minutes and save us over $100 at Christmas time. I was very grateful and impressed.

Terrible experience here nothing they said was true. Waited 90 minutes to come back and they then said it was another 90 minutes. And that City Creek store has minimal wait. And that parking was free there. All lies. Course they didn’t know what the wait would be when we got there. But we couldn’t get an appt there either. Parking is not free in City Creek. But if they tell you 2 hours it will only be 2 hours. Go to City Creek and skip this place.

Collin & the guys took care of me, went to pickup my MacBook Pro and the beats that came with it. I ordered the lesser version of the beats, due to lack of knowledge between the difference, and he made sure I got them upgraded instead of kicking me to the wind (still free of charge) They operate fast and got me in & out even with the hiccup.

It's weird when you go into a place of business, stand in front of three employees, and have to wait for them to finish their conversation (not work related) before they offer you assistance... Uhm, no. The only employee to greet me from the group left as soon as I started talking and the other two were "left" to help me. Ordered my phone for pickup, was told by the man on the phone that I would be able to drive up the 30 mins and walk in and grab my phone. Nope. They charged my card $1,200 but my order sat in processing for two and half hours with no change after talking to support 3 times. I ended up canceling the order and walking out without my phone. 3 hours wasted and literally nothing but being passed around by “Geniuses” like a carton of cigarettes in D block. Literally never go here.

I have had my IPhone 7 for just under a short two years. It has always been in a case and never dropped. My phone does not even have a scratch on it. No contact with water. Today my phone will not make or receive phone calls for some reason. Also when I plug my headphones in the music still comes out of the speakers on the phone, not the headphones. Took this into Apple. I waited for three hours for them to tell me this is non repairable and I’d have to get a new phone. I find this odd that a phone in perfect condition would just stop working after two years. Very disgusted with Apple and its products and the conduct of service at this store is absolutely horrendous. Would not recommend Apple or coming to this store.

If I could give them minus 5 I would. Walk in for a simple service -an over-priced product my daughter bought stopped working- the guy asks me if I have an appointment! Really? Then to explain the ridiculousness of the “appointment” concept he compares the store to a doctor’s office. This is a retail establishment you moron. An hour later finally someone sees us to take care of our issue. Took over an hour of my time for something that should have taken 5 minutes. Truly ridiculous.

Apple Store is always a pleasure to deal with. They offer a level of service that is a cut above all the other phone manufacturers. I don't own all Apple products but sometimes I wish I did. They definitely offer a level of service superior to Samsung. I always get great service at the Apple Fashion Place Mall location. The mall has some great stores for shopping as well.

I had some trouble with my photos loading onto the cloud so I could switch phones. I walked in and was pointed in the right direction to get the help I needed. I was then greeted by 3 employees (Mclain, Jeff, and one other girl who’s name I didn’t catch) who all listened to my problem and then one of them (I believe his name was McLain) stepped up to help. He sat with me and helped me get almost all my photos backed up. The ones I didn’t get only didn’t upload because I hadn’t given it enough time. I was in the store for about an hour and a half while my photos were loading. The employees never left me for more than 3-5 minutes without checking in and making sure everything was working smoothly. They all did everything they could and also got input from other employees to make sure I was taken care of. It was a very frustrating situation that was made a whole lot easier with those employees!

Came in on a freakishly busy day with an appointment and was finally seen about 25min after my scheduled time. But they were very kind and willing to help. My new computer's fan was super loud and making a terrible clicking noise. They told me it'd be a couple hours to fix, but did it for free and within an hour. I had possibly the best customer service experience of my life yesterday at the fashion place apple store. Our technician, Taylor, went above and beyond in so many ways. In an incident that was our fault and apple didn't have to do anything, Taylor made astonishing concessions for my 15 year old son. Very impressed. Everyone was helpful and friendly.

I can into the store to replace the battery on my IPhone 5 and it’s 49.99 great price... third party wants 79.99 .. they discovered the battery is bulging so there replacing the whole phone for still same price as 49.99 . It’s Apple and we all looooove Apple but they need to work on their customer service skills!! They don’t treat all customers fairly or with the same amount of respect that each customer deserves. We are the ones paying for the amazing but super expensive product and we keep going back and upgrading. So, what the hell, Apple? Demand that your store agents treat all of us “Apple-mesmerized” junkies like we matter and that we are not dumb just because we may not all be tech-savvy!

Looking at this location objectively, I could overhear employees having inappropriate side conversations, providing false information, and just generally giving poor customer service. This is all from one visit. I usually expect to have at least an average experience of wanting to buy something, getting someone to ring me up, and walking away from the store with the product I wanted to purchase. There just seems to be a lack of organizational structure or a lack of management professionalism/experience.

Still in store. Was checked in 1 hour ago, and i supposed to get a message in between 20-25 minutes, what never happened. I come back to the store wondering what happened that i didnt got the message, and was sitted right away, but for another 20 minutes technicians just comes and go and so far no one had come to help me out on a 280 dollars fix(i already knew the price due to apple website). I think due to the price, service should be way quicker and helpful than it is. If i have an option, i would never come back.

Went here to get my daughters broken screen on her phone fixed. The wait time was a bit longer than expected, however after a 2 hour wait time we were able to get it fixed and the gentleman who helped us made sure that everything was working before we left. This is a very busy store.

I've been to the Apple store many times and although the wait times are sometimes painful, I have never had bad customer service. This time though, I recieved the best service yet. The staff here is friendly & helpful for the most part (out of the 5 or 6 I dealt with there was only 1 who wasn't so nice). There are a ton of employees in their easy to spot Apple T-shirts. They've got all of the Apple products & accessories, plus a few other brans with products to on the floor to test out & play with- which is a good thing because the wait can be excruciating! This place is always busy & if you are going in to get a repair or need specific help with a product MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. My daughter's iPhone 7 stopped working out of nowhere & our carrier directed us to this location even though we are located 35 miles away, because it is an actual Apple Store who could offer us a loaner phone while they repaired a defect with hers. We made an appointment but came across an accident on our way & when I could tell we were going to be late I called 20 to 30 mins prior to let them know & not cancel our appointment. We got checked in around 15 minutes late. I expected some extra wait time since had been a little late, so we waited. And waited. And waited. After over an hour I went to the employee who'd checked us in (he was the single unpleasant employee) & asked what was up, only to be told at that point that my appointment had been cancelled because we were 35 minutes late so they'd placed me in the queue...? I corrected him saying that not only were we just 15 mins late, I had called to let them know & was assured it wasn't a problem. He was completely dismissive & said they'd be with me in a few minutes. So after another 45 minutes my name was called. The employee who helped with my daughter's phone was very efficient & great to deal with. So were all the others I saw interacting with customers. They were very patient with those who were techno challenged & did their best to address any concerns. I guess my super long visit is the reason for this super long review... Overall the experience was okay, but not quite the quality I'd expect.

So many people had a poor experience with this store that I felt compelled to share mine. We called ahead to schedule an appointment at the genius bar. They were over a week out, which was mildly inconvenient. My wife arrived on time and was taken care of immediately. The microphone on her iPhone 7 128GB was broken and out of warranty. They quickly authorized a replacement phone for $319, transferred her data, and she departed with a smile. The phone was covered by a SquareTrade warranty, and Apple emailed all of the documentation we needed for reimbursement. Simple and easy, and we couldn't be happier. Maybe they got rid of the bad... apples.

I waited for about 15-20 minutes with multiple employees walking by me and ignoring me. Finally, someone asked if they could help me. When I explained that I needed some help with my laptop, she found an employee in the middle of the store and said he was in charge of taking service orders. She said I’d have to get in line to which there wasn’t one and told me it would be a bit of a wait. No Thanks! I’ve bought an Apple computer, laptop, multiple phones and this is how they treat their customers???? Horrible Service!!!

I took my wife’s phone in when it wouldn’t turn on. Verizon told us to just get a new phone and that they couldn’t save the over 8,000 photos that were on the phone (because we hadn’t backed up for quite some time). Everywhere we took it they told us we were out of luck. I went in the morning on a Saturday set up an appointment for 55 minutes later because they were busy (totally understandable), During the appointment Justin took over and was able to fix it. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He understood that those photos and memories are valuable, and The whole time giving me options If we weren’t able to come to a solution. Thank you, and I will be coming back when and if I have any more issues.

There are usually 30 apple employees standing around but only one of them can check you out. I approached 3 different employees and they all directed me to the same person whom I had been waiting for about 30 minutes already. When I put the items I was purchasing back on the shelves suddenly one of the employees who turned me down was capable of checking me out, I then ignored her just like she had ignored me 5 minutes ago. Apple has become the least inefficient place ever.

I came in to buy a brand new Mac-book Pro 15 inch with the touch-bar, and was treated horribly. The checkout girl hardly spoke to me or explained any of the product. And she let people head of me and my purchase, giving me the feeling of being unwanted and unimportant. It therefore, made me very irritated and feel very unwelcome, causing the product before me feel wrong to buy. I didn't want to support a company with my business if I am going to be treated so poorly. I feel like customer service is a key tool to sales and a good business, and this store had none. Not only was it unfriendly, but very confusing to navigate to even find a salesman in the first place. I feel so bad about leaving such a bad review, since I work in sales myself, but I can hardly believe the service I was given. So long story short, I left and went to Best Buy to get my products there instead. And was treated a lot more professionally, kindly, and the process was so much more pain free that it was definitely worth the extra gas to make the trip out there.

There was a little bit of confusion with my request to exchange my 6s for a 10XR for $500 but they sorted it out and I got my phone. They were very helpful and even pointed me to a screen protector place that had a better deal than Apple.

When you first enter the store be sure to check in with the 'greeter' if you have a specific question so they can get an employee over to speak with you. One of the best Apple experiences I've had to date! Very much an example for all Apple stores to attempt to follow.

I really don’t send poor reviews, i like to share my positivity. But, This place is a nightmare! So busy or pretend to be busy.The tech took my info and stated the wait is about 2,5 h or an appointment in 5 days. In about 5 min she said come and check with us in 1,5. I was staying there and used a charging station for about 30 min and watched the process : 4 associates are wondering around,talking,laughing, some are really working. I gave it a shot and asked what’s the wait time now. Ridiculous, they didn’t even have my info!!! I was told if I want assistance I need to come back in about 2 hours,after I already spend over 40 min there. Oh, and an other advise I got: my phone is almost 3 y old and it’s better to get a new one!!!! How about that?! They are not spending their own $$$. Will never go back to overrated Apple store. Even 1 star is to many for no service but there is no option 0 stars.

I truly believe the employees here try their best to help every customer, and you will notice most all of the negative reviews are about how busy they are.. which is completely out of their control. If you make an appointment, they will help you! If you don’t have an appointment, they will also help you when they are able to! I’ve been a customer under both circumstances and can say that they do everything in their power to make sure everyone leaves happy with their problems resolved. It makes paying a premium for any Apple product worth every penny.

This Apple Store has been hit-or-miss. I've had some very good repair experiences here, but I feel like lately they've been overly uptight about honoring their warranty on cables and headphones. Their standard, white iPhone charging cables are very fragile. Under normal use they frequently wear through the plastic at the neck of the cable in under a year. But the guys at this Apple Store say that wearing through the plastic is a sign of abuse, so the warranty is voided. No, it's not a sign of abuse; it's a sign of a weak product.

I get so frustrated with the Apple store and their process of handling service. I have a very spontaneous work schedule so scheduling an advanced appointment at the “Genius Bar” (which let’s be honest is an oxymoron) doesn’t work for me. When I have a random spare moment I’ll stop by the store when I have a product issue only to be told I have to wait for hours when there are employees just standing around! When it finally is my turn, sarcastic millennial hipster Bob acts like he doesn’t have the time of day to address my issue and I am usually told within 30 second I should just “upgrade” or “buy something new”. Really? I waited hours for a minute of your time? I own apple everything. Laptop, desktop, phone, watch, you name it and love the products. The act of having one of those items serviced is a nightmare. Bad enough to make me want to discontinue purchasing Apple products in the future.

My MacBook Air was being faulty with the USB. I took it to these guys (make sure to make an apt, they’re busy) and the Genius Bar tech who was assigned to me made the correct decision and sent my Air off to Apple. This store has horrible customer service. The Apple store in general is an awful experience, but this one is particularly bad. In my last visit, getting my laptop fixed, the store staff basically ignored my complaints that the last 3 Apple laptops I've purchased have all had some sort of major failure (all within warranty period luckily), and told me if I didn't like it to stop buying Apple. Apple quality has really gone down hill, and their service is even worse. I would expect a >$2,000 laptop to work > 12 months, I also would have expected Apple customer service to be some what apologetic about these issues.

Great place. Came here to get my mom a new phone and the staff were really helpful. They showed us how to transfer the data, and how to use the new phone. And they had a ton of displays that were fun to use. We were able to compare prices on the phone and how much were save with a trade in.

I went to the Apple Store today after getting a run around with Verizon for over an hour with a very polite Verizon Technician who pushed the problem off onto Uconnect with Dodge. I was trying to tell them problems preexisted the Dodge but I had no luck. So I went to the Apple Store in Murray Utah. And had the awesome experience of my phone crashing while they were working on it. The people there were so polite and friendly and explained everything to me. Even the chance I could loose my text messages. They tried everything. To my surprise they replaced my phone, out of warranty because they couldn’t restore to the condition I brought the phone in. These people are awesome. I’m going through a lot stuff in my life right now and you’ll never know how much this gesture means to me and how much joy you gave me today. Thank you so very much for bringing joy into my life today.

Make an appointment 3 to 4 hours out or days out so they can diagnose a problem. How ridiculous is that if you live in a town that is hours away? So you can buy another phone and send that one in and see if they can fix it... Ohhh buy TWO of their products to make sure they work! So $1000 x2 to keep your phone working and with you? I believe the negative reviews are simply from people who are entitled and self important. It’s a busy store and an appointment is required for best service. It may take 2 - 4 hours to replace your screen. Look around, it’s slammed busy and yours isn’t the only screen they are replacing. Just be glad you have a factory authorized tech doing it vs. the minimum wage guy in the kiosk. If they mess it it up, they replace it where the kiosk kid will shrug his shoulders and move on. On that note I had amazing service today. Arrived on time, got checked in, and was on my way with a replaced screen in 2 hours for $29. BUY the Apple care guys, it’s sooooo worth it. My only negative was the snobby customer that cut in line and had the cajones to say to the rest of us, “I have a baby and need faster service.” - lady I didn’t bring my kids for a reason.

I was in and out of the store in less than an hour and the sales associates helped me buy an Apple watch on credit and even set it up so it was on my wrist before I left the store.
