Heavyset man at the front desk was kind, but did not seem to know what he was talking about.and was very awquard to speak with. Front of store looked like a mess with all kinds of stuff scattered everywhere. I did not feel comfortable leaving my computer with him for this reason. I asked around about where to find another repair shop, where multiple people warned me against this place for multipule reasons. Seems like he is out to make a quick buck. After reading other reviews on google i am glad i decided to go elsewhere, not worth the risk.

Odd service experience... The owner Devin had the fastest response of three shops in town (so far so good) so I dropped off a work laptop with a non-working monitor and shared that I thought the motherboard or video card could be having issues. He opined it was probably due to a "spilled drink" and accepted my $20 deposit (half of the estimated service fee). He had said same-day or next-day turnaround but it turned out to not be available for me to pick up until the third day. That's where things got weird: he showed me a stick of RAM with one tiny spot of discoloration on one contact point, and told me the whole laptop (including the RAM) was ruined "due to a spilled drink or water damage" and that he "doesn't mess with water damage." He said it was ruined and would be a good idea to sell the PC for parts or if I really wanted to I could have someone test it using a meter, or microsolder to fix it. This didn't sound right, I took it to another shop in town, who was able to fix it (not replacing any parts) for $89 and throw in a 90-day guarantee on the hardware - it was in fact a video card issue. Nothing needed replacing and now the laptop works fine. A very puzzling experience as a customer, because clearly the owner didn't look further than a tiny spot of discoloration on the RAM and now I'm out $20 and a three-day turnaround. A little bit of extra troubleshooting would have made everyone involved happy. If he had made up his mind at the outset about the "water damage" and was unwilling to work on it, why charge me a $20 deposit and hold it for three days? Not upset about the $20 and the wait, but I can't recommend this shop because a lot of people would have trusted the faulty opinion and trashed their working laptop at that point. It would appear to me there's a big blind spot in the hardware expertise here. I'm typing this review from the "ruined" laptop.

Quick and affordable! If you're concerned about where to take your computer to get it fixed, look no more. This guy's legit! My mom's computer screen was totally screwed up. Even with ordering the part it only took a couple of days to get the computer back, good as new. Very friendly above-and-beyond service.

Excellent fast and friendly service! I had previously went to TechPro in town for my last screen replacement but came to find out the screen replacements were very cheap and easily breakable (my screen from tech pro shattered on first drop). Devin found many install mistakes that TechPro had also made to my phone previously but got me fixed up and running in a very quick time frame! I would recommend him over ANYONE around!

Absolutely great place! I took a gaming laptop in and Devin told me the problem, ran me through all the options and told me the best solution. I usually have Devin do maintenance on my laptop a couple times a year. but I had been remiss. OMG, today it just went black....and wouldn't turn on. I hustled it up to Devin and in less than an hour he had it up and running again. Very, very reasonable too. I won't skip regular maintenance again. Breathing a sigh of relief and thankful for ComputerTek!!! PS - new shop is spiffy!!

I spent 1.5 hrs with Devin at Computer Tek repair this morning. Devin was working with me on my computer most all the time. He was teaching me how to use the programs he was installing. He also was managing his customers and phone calls. I was very impressed with this young man. His patience, professionalism and pricing are spectacular. Best I have found in the county so far. I came in wanting my DC port fixed. He said the hinges on my laptop were broken a little so he glued them back and fixed the DC port . A week later the hinges completely came off my laptop! Also, there was also a substantial bulge on the side of my laptop after he "fixed" the hinges. Great customer service though.

No posted hours anywhere. If you call, you can leave a message, but they don't tell you when they are open. I was there a little after 9 am and it was closed. Went back after 10 and the guy told me he just got back from the y and that they open at 9, but sometimes 10. Not very reliable, prob will not go there again.
