My experience with this store is probably the worst customer service I have ever seen. I bought a product that ended up being faulty. I brought it in to see what the problem was and was told it would be back in 5-7 Days. After 10 I returned to the store only to be told that they had LOST them. I was told then that a new pair would be ordered and be there in 2 Days. 2 Days later I call and am told that they were having issues and had not even been able to place the order yet! It wasn’t until I asked for a refund, that a new pair magically appeared. Every time I called the store, I was told I would be called back. That never happened. No one seemed to care about the fact they lost an item, just business as usual. It also seemed like they were waiting for a refurbished pair to come in to replace my brand new pair that I had bought, otherwise why wouldn’t the new pair had been there the first time?

The technician was super helpful, walked me through different options, and even ended up saving me money by helping fix issues that I thought would force me to buy a new computer. Went in pretty pessimistic thinking my dead Mac was going to need to be erased and restored, or that it would be so expensive to fix I’d just have to get a new one. Turns out the battery just needed to be replaced, and for a reasonable price (almost certain much better than any Mac store). After I told Ryan we were in a hurry he got us in and out in 20 minutes. I’ve never had a tech problem get solved so quickly and so painlessly in my life. Fantastic service, thank you!

It seems that they are unaware of what they can and cannot do for users with the iPhone 6s. I understand that most things are out of their control, but had I been given the correct information the first time, it could have saved me two days and two trips to Atlanta. This was probably the first time they had to deal with repairing such a new product, understandable, though as professionals they should understand the system before giving customers false information. It would have been better if they had double checked in the first place to make sure they could even send my phone in, rather than assuming it was an easy fix. Employees were happy to help, and disappointed when they couldn't provide the service I needed. So I'll give them that. This was my first time visiting them, I wouldn't recommend them to friends. It's more efficient to visit the Apple store in Buford. If you need to buy cords or a mac battery, yeah, I'd visit. Just not for anything much else besides that.

The staff at Simply Mac in Athens, GA was very helpful to me the moment I walked into the store. They took the computer off my hands as they saw me struggling with it because of its size. Immediately waited on me and assured me they would get to it in no time at all. They were kind, courteous and very helpful with all my needs, had it diagnosed in no time at all and promised a quick repair. It was ready the very next day and the cost was very affordable. I would recommend this store and their expert staff to all Mac owners.

This place has terrible customer service. I went into the store and was told to put my name in the queue and wait to be seen. After waiting for an hour they finally looked at my computer and told me they needed to keep it for a few days to repair it (which took about 5 seconds so I'm not sure why I sat there for an hour). Then they said that my computer would be ready in 3-5 days, but I was told that it would definitely be closer to 3 because it was an easy fix. On day 3, 4, and 5 I called the store but they never pick up their phone... it's very frustrating. Finally on day 7 my computer was ready. Definitely go somewhere else if you can, this place is awful and I would give it zero stars if I could.

Based on my experience yesterday I would have given this company a 1 star, the associates are always too busy and have such nonchalant attitudes with the exception of one or two.... however today I was serviced by "Joseph" (Long Hair) and he gave me hope again that the hiring manager does have taste. Overall the experience was excellent! Knowledgeable staff and very friendly. I had to leave my phone overnight and get it the next day when they opened. When I picked it up my battery was at 30%. I would say as a courtesy to that type of customer, a fully charged phone at pickup would be going the extra mile but greatly appreciated!

I was having issues with my macbook so I took it to be looked at. I was more than happy to pay the diagnostic fee for them to tell me what could be wrong with it. I was told they would try to force the updated iOS, then I got a call stating they would have to completely wipe the computer and reinstall the iOS. I was fine with them doing all of that as long as I could get the computer to work again. I got a call stating that nothing worked and that it would cost $600 for the computer to get sent off to be repaired. I elected not to pay the $600 and to pick up my computer. I mentioned to a friend that issue I was having and with a little research found that it was a battery issue, a new battery was purchased and installed and the problem was fixed. Once my computer was working again it was quickly realized that my computer had never been wiped as all of my files pictures and everything I had downloaded we're still on my computer. The items I even had in my trash bin we're still and my trash bin. So I paid the diagnostic fee for absolutely nothing. Not only did they misdiagnose my computer they didn't even try to fix it. They will never receive my business or my recommendation ever.

Standing around waiting to be seen by Service Department gives me time to leave this review. Wait 30 minutes and no you can’t leave the equipment no you can’t leave a phone number no buzzer - just stand and wait. This is 2019.

First issue, I brought in my older MAC - standard procedure is to make an appointment a few days out - but he had time, took my MAC and fixed it on the spot. 2nd issue. We scheduled a 60 min. coaching session with a "Pro" and she solved all our issues in 35 minutes!

Horrible customer service. A few of the people are nice, but most are VERY stuck up. My Retina MacBook crashed after 3 and 1/2 years and I brought it to be serviced. The tech people seriously need some training on how to to talk to the customers. You know the staff is rude when you are a repeat paying customer and suddenly you realize that you are apologizing to the sales person for being inconvenient and interrupting their precious "me time". I left this horrible place and went to the "Shoe Repair" place on Lumpkin and the worker was such a nice guy, so polite and it was such a big difference in customer service that made me realize even more strongly how bad the Simply Mac is. My advise? Call the "Shoe Repair" on Lumpkin, Athens and sign up your employees for a quick course on how to treat customers and maintain a positive attitude. It must be horrible to work at your place.

I went to peach mac because my laptop would freeze and shut down. It was under warranty so the repair should have been free. Simply mac looked at my computer and claimed there was water damage so it would be $800 to fix. I sent it in to Apple instead and Apple said there was not liquid damage and fixed my laptop for free (since it was under warranty still). How do you make a misdiagnosis like that? When I challenged the person at simply mac he claimed he was 100% positive there was liquid damage and refused to look at any other components. All in all it was a terrible experience. If you have mac problems just send it in to Apple. Better safe than sorry

Awful, awful, awful. Brought in my Iphone for repair on a Tuesday. This is what I was told: "the Ios guys weren't working that day" therefore, "they would look at it first thing Wednesday and we were first in the queue" Called back Wednesday at 5pm after not hearing anything all day. They hadn't even looked at it. Chris, the gentleman I talked to, was completely rude on the phone and said we can just pick it up if we weren't happy. This place is worthless.

My hard drive crashed the day before a huge preso and more importantly I wasn’t sure some critical files and photos were backed up. Nef was my service tech and he was INCREDIBLE. Quite impressive for his age - he took my situation seriously, was highly professional, calm, he listened and he did not stop until he found all my files and provided a top notch solution. NEF is a customer service super star! I spent over two hours in the store and the rest of the team was responsive to all customers and even did magic tricks for customers waiting for the outcome of their tech troubles. Only thing missing is a few women on the team but great job Simply Mac!!!!!

Asked for papers that were signed by us and he went to the back and whited info out and came back with FALSIFIED documents. asked him for the papers we signed and he refused. Have never been treated so rude in my life. I will drive 2 hours away if I ever am forced to work with Arik again.

They have done repairs on my macbook several times. A little pricey but work is always performed very quickly & expertly. What really impressed me is when I went in to buy a new macbook and one of their employees actually talked me out of spending 400 bucks on an upgrade I didn't really need. Don't waste your time....Took my iMac 27 in for a repair. The guy gave me a receipt and listed "some scratches and dents" without even taking it out of the box and looking at it. It's a desktop.....where are the scratches and dents going to come from??? What a joke....took it to MacSource.

Apple was offering a promotional event for iPhone 6S owners to replace their battery at the low cost of $29. The promotion ended December 31, 2018. I contacted my local SimplyMac to get on their waiting list. However, my local Simply Mac was overwhelmed by the demand and called to let me know that they could not get to me by the end of the year when the promotion ended. They advised me to call Apple Support and ask for approval of an extension whereby I would still get the promotional pricing and they had plenty of appointments available in January 2019. The other option was to send my iPhone 6S back to Apple; that would entail a 3-4 day turnaround. I called Apple support and was approved for the extension due to the fact that it was not my fault that my local Simply Mac could not get to me by the end of the year due to the overwhelming demand on that store’s staffing. Apple Support even arranged the appointment in January for me! When I arrived, I was impressed by the professionalism of Preston, the store manager, and Austin, the tech. While waiting for Austin to replace my battery, I became aware of other customers complaining about the increased pricing of the replacement battery for the 6S. In defense of the store, it seems people were not following their advice of taking the time to call Apple Support (a mere 15 minute call) and requesting an extension as I had done. Sort of a kill-the-messenger type deal. My local Simply Mac made ALL those calls to inform customers, but they didn’t take responsibility to follow through by making ONE call to Apple Support for an extension to receive the promotional price. The increased price is still a screaming deal compared to buying a new phone!! I have always had a good experience at my local Simply Mac due to their patience and expertise and witnessed the same to other customers in the store.

Called to schedule and purchase training/coaching with iPhone/Outlook syncing and iPad Pro. Was told I’d need to wait 3 weeks before I could even request that service. Told to e-mail store manager. It’s been at least 3 weeks and I haven’t received a reply. Meanwhile I’ve wasted hours and hours trying to work thru problems myself. Extremely disappointing service.

Worst place ever, First I got a mac pro from them and they told me if I pay $200 for a protection, I will be able to have a new device if mine is stolen. However, I spilled some juice on my mac by a mistake and went to them. They took the device, opened it , and I waited for 3 days to be told that my protection is not what I paid for and I paid for a regular protection. Also, they scratched my mac.I hope this company faces what I faced and fall in much problems hopefully. Finally, the employee told me they can do nothing about this. Apple’s name should not be on that nasty place.

Battery replacement nightmare for your phone. I wasted a lot of time this week on the issue. Their phone greeting says please visit apple website to make an apt to change your iPhone battery. I did that, drove 2 hours there specifically for the appointment, only to be told that there was no record of an appointment (even though apple sent me an email confirmation of it) and you have to call the store to get an appointment - then why does your phone greeting say please visit the website to schedule an iPhone battery replacement?!?!?!?!?

Who needs an Apple Store? I've visited Simply Mac twice with iPhone issues, once to take care of a recall on my 5, and once to deal with a manufacturing defect (screen failed after two weeks of use) on my 6. In both cases they were fast, and delivered much better results than I had hoped for! On the 5 I ended up with an entirely new phone, not bad after 1.5 years of ownership, and on the 6 I had a new phone within 27 hours of dropping off my broken one. I've also purchased Airports and a MacBookPro from them, and all purchases were great! Super happy to have them in Bozeman, especially since Apple's service isn't great when you're this far from a real Apple store. Highly recommended!

Even in a small store, asking for a second opinion can save time and an additional trip. They took a return with only a few questions. It helped to have the receipt and to be able to say the package had not been opened.

My Mac Air turned itself off and no amount of coaxing could get it back, even with the on-line advice of people who had the same problem. I took it in to Simply Mac, they checked it out, said it would have to be sent for repairs, and would be back in 5-7 days. It was back in 5. They called to let me know it was back, which I thought was great. The service at Simply Mac is really good, and the people working there are friendly and helpful. My computer was still under warranty, so that made it an even better experience.

It was the fastest service that I’ve ever experienced, really ever. I needed to have my iPad replaced. They told me that they needed to order one and it would likely take 3-4 days. In less that 24 hours, they called me to tell me the iPad was ready and I could pick it up. Not to mention they are all very friendly and likely know a lot more than the “geniuses” at the Apple store.

I went here couple times to get accessories for my ipad. Great staff, great service. Although i had an incident in here when i was supposed to get screen repair, turned out my iPhone wasn’t fully backed up. They changed my screen and it wouldn’t turn on, so he gave me a new phone. I lost all my pictures with my grandpa that just passed away. The manager gave me store credits, which is very nice. But the fact that i lost literally all of my precious pictures and videos made me unbelievably sad.

I purchased AppleCare to go with a phone purchased at a Verizon store. (Verizon doesn't sell AppleCare with their iPhones.) The employee who helped me was knowledgeable and very friendly. I always get exceptionally good customer service at Simply Mac.

Avoid - they are liars. I took my macbook there a year and a half ago after spilling some coffee next to it and was told that the inside was fried, and that it would never work again. It's still perfectly fine and functioning.

Had awesome service the several times I went in; very helpful and efficient. They were great about answering my questions and explaining what they could do for me and my computer. It was super easy to set up an appointment with them (and even when I accidentally missed that one, they were really chill and nice and able to immediately set me up for the next day). They went over multiple options that I could do along with running the diagnostic report and explaining what appeared to be the problem very clearly. They then did everything in one day, called me with an update that same evening and I was able to pick it up the next day. I've had no issues with my computer since then. They were very fast and efficient; I will definitely be going to them with any future potential Apple issues I may have, where I know I'll be greeted by a friendly "Hello" when I walk in the door

I purchased my Mac mini from this store three years ago.... I’ve Contracted them and apple support multiple times over the last 3 years... and my family photos are still not available!!!!! The repair policies at Simply Mac are decidedly user-unfriendly. In late 2017 I bought a MacBook Pro at this store and paid for an additional warranty. Recently Apple issued a recall on this model - they need to replace the hard drive before it fails. I made an appointment through the Mac-supplied website and brought my computer in thinking it would be repaired at that time or perhaps the same day. Nope. They need to hold the computer for several business days while they order the part. Can they order the part and let me bring the compute back for scheduled repair? Nope. They will not order the part unless I leave the computer with them. Oh, and no loaner computer is available.

iPhone 7 damaged screen? Don't waste your time with third party repairs that can't recalibrate your screen and make sure it's properly water resistant, only a certified repair center can do this. Nate was beyond helpful. He comes off as a very honest and good man and listened attentively to everything I had to say. I'm very thankful I was helped by him after my frustrating experiences at other places. Simply Mac was the only store available with an open appointment and a same day repair promise. With warranty! I drove the extra hour to them for a reason and it was very much worth it. Tori helped me with my phone pickup and was straight to the point and ready to help the second she noticed me walking her way! Thank y'all!

It was ok. I had went there just for another AirPod and they had to get it shipped which was fine. But it took around 50 minutes inside! And I was the 5th person in line!!!!! I don’t understand why it would take this long?!

I took my iPhone X with a cracked screen on a busy Saturday morning. I had 9 ahead of me but needed to get to work across the street. They fit me in so I could drop my phone off and finished it before the quoted time. The screen is like having a brand new phone and with AppleCare it was only $29. My overall time in the store was very quick.

Employees were very helpful to my friend and I when we needed help with my friend's phone. We came to this store after Verizon, my friend's service provider, was of absolutely no help. Even though we had to go ten minutes before they closed, they were extremely helpful which was an extreme relief after arguing with unhelpful Verizon employees for hours. Within 10-15 minutes, they had found the problem with my friend's brand new iPhone 6s and began the process to return it to Apple for a replacement. Definitely the place to go if you're having problems with your Apple device!

I had scheduled an appointment a day in advance to get my phone repaired, and the expected wait time was about an hour and a half. I come back an hour and a half later to be told that they are finishing it up. I then waited 10 minutes and asked again, and the response was that the paper work was being filed. I wait another 5 minutes, and get stuck in line for another 30 minutes while another customer is being helped. That was 45 minutes that I should not have had to stand and wait.

Worst customer service. None of the employees seem to have any idea what they're talking about. They each have to ask another one a question before they can answer your question. I would be giving simply Mac a five although there was some confusion towards the end when I was checking out. I just wanted to purchase a screen saver because the reason going in they needed to change my iPhone X screen for malfunction. But all in all they got taken care of. Another concern that is still outstanding and in my mind is that on the 22nd I received mail through email or a computer that it said that I ordered through them. but I did no such thing. The manager that helped me was very kind yesterday and said that he would take care of it for me. But there’s always that thought in the back your mind of what could happen and where did it go and how did it get to you. Something had to be late somewhere or another corporation can get that information. So I just hope but there is nothing wrong really with this paperwork trail. Me and my daughter have done business with simply Mac and have never had a problem before. I think they are a wonderful business especially if you have a Mac of any sort or Apple product. They are very friendly and always eager to help you.

Last year "Storm" was very helpful to me with my technical difficulties, getting me the correct backup system installed, and answering all my questions regarding Power Point Presentations, etc. I had 3 sessions with him, and felt better after I left. This year, "Walker" as also very helpful with showing me different things that I needed to correct, delete, and add to my computer. He made me aware the average life of my computer, and how much time I probably had left. After calling Apple with a problem on my iPhone 6 Plus, they told me to take it to Simply Mac and they could take care of the problem and if not they could send in my phone to Apple to take care of replacing it if need be. Three and a half weeks later, and a call to Apple, I finally got my phone back. Not once was I called by Simply Mac to give me a status update. I went by the store several times and asked for a status, no one could tell me anything. When I called and got some one from the service dept. on the phone they said my tech just went to lunch they would get him to call me back shortly. Nope, never heard from him. Next time I will beg Apple to allow me to send my phone to them instead of using Simply Mac.

Went in January to get a recall battery for an iPhone. Apple sent the battery to the store. The store never called me and sent the battery back to apple. After 4 months and probably 20 hours on the phone it finally got fixed. The store never worked to get this resolved for me, even though they should have been. Whenever I called the store no one would pick. It was an awful experience overall. Try to avoid if possible. There are other, more competent Apple specialists in town.

The story is long but I will just hit the highlights here. Also, if you look at the other reviews here you will see a pattern of bad customer service, and rubber stamp the owner leaves on the review to contact them for the correct manager to look into it. I think the owner response on all negative reviews is "Please reach out to us on contact.simplymac.com so that we can have the appropriate manager reach out to you from there. We are very interested in your feedback, and want to help! " I hope this not what they say to me!!! hahahah So, be sure to read as many reviews as you can before you go there. 1) took an iPad 2 in for unlocking since the Apple ID had been hacked and the iPad couldn't be unlocked. 2) thought it would be a free and simple fix since we had the original box and purchase receipt for the item proving ownership. 3) was told they could do it and they charged me $40 for an "Advance iOS support fee". said it would take around 2 days and they would call me back when its ready. I paid the $40 and left. Reviews below show other have paid less for an unlock and took 15 minutes??? Hmmm 4) get a VM from someone 2 days later that I could not fully understand because he was mumbling something about call Apple. I get a text to come pick up the device. 5) go to pick the iPad up, sign in for service, greeted by someone that has no idea why I am there. He checks on it and sees they actually can't fix it and that I need to take it to Burford Ga to get it fixed. And I needed to wait for the manager to get my $40 refund. 6) waited for far too long to finally get to a manager behind a register. He looks at the iPad and asks me whats going on. He has no idea why I am there, and his employee clearly never said anything to him about what I am there. I ask that the employee tell his manager whats going on so I don't have to keep explaining myself as I am already getting upset at this point. 7) I advise the manager to keep the money and apply it to some employee training, and I re-verify with the original employee that I need to drive to Buford Ga for help, he says yes and I thank him and leave. Suggestions: *Get some idea of what you can and cant fix so you don't tell the customers wrong, make them wait a couple of days then figure out you cant help. You're an Apple service center, do better. *If you need to call a customer back when you cant fix something, maybe the manager should have some idea of what happened instead of being a gloried cashier with no clue whats going on at your own business. You're an Apple service center, do better. *Customer upset? walk the customer to another area away from the busy counter so to minimize other customers hearing how much you suck as a repair shop. You're an Apple service center, do better. **updated 8/29/2018 I called Apple and they had me email them proof of purchase, and for no charge removed the lock from the iPad. The sales people at this store are extremely incompetent. I purchased, what I thought was a 2018 MacBook Pro. I explicitly stated I wanted a 13" MacBook Pro 2018 with the Touch Bar. They sold me a 2017 MacBook Pro with a Touch Bar, and I didn't know this until a week later. To make things even more complicated, the sales associate told me the 2017s did not come with a touch Bar. I am not completely convinced that the computer they sold me at the new manufacture price was for a mis-labeled, refurbished product. During the sales discussion, the store associate knew what to say regarding his "sales pitch." However, any time I asked him a question about the computer, he knew absolutely nothing, and didn't even offer to find out for me. I should have walked out of the store right at that moment, and taken my business elsewhere. The next time I need to purchase an Apple product, it will not be from this store. As a matter of fact, Microsoft has made significant improvements on their products. Perhaps it is time to switch back to Microsoft.

My "vintage" MacBook pro would not boot up. After trying everything I could find online, I took it to SimplyMac in Athens, GA. They ran diagnostics on my computer and told me that it appeared to be a hardware problem, and that Apple no longer makes the likely needed replacement parts, so they would not be able to fix it. They said that I could try taking it to a 3rd party servicer as the only other option. They recovered all the data off of the computer onto a flash drive for $99. I took the computer to UBREAKIFIX in Athens, GA. They determined that the computer was simply hung up on an update, stopped that, and now my computer works fine. They fixed it for NO CHARGE. While I am happy that my computer works, I am upset to have wasted $99 unnecessarily at SimplyMac when their assessment was incorrect.

Have had nothing but frustration from this store. They aren’t truly apple so they use that as an excuse, and do nothing to help. They charge ridiculous amounts for their service and are snotty stuck up jerks when they speak to you. We had an expanded battery that broke the mouse pad on our MacBook Pro, and the only thing they could tell us was that the battery was at the “end of its life” and that it’ll cost $300 to fix it. So when we said, could you just remove it so it’s not a danger they told us it would cost $20, for a 5 minute service! And the kid says, “our time is worth something”.... are you kidding me?!? What happened to customer service. This is not the only time these clowns have been so unhelpful, just the most recent and most frustrating!!!! My husband is an IT professional, and they speak to us as if we are back wood yokels! I will NOT be back!

They were very inconsiderate with my very expensive hardware, grabbing the device with one hand and Lipton tea in the other, swinging it around one handed. Top notch mac repair is done here. Brought a big 2011 iMac there with a dying hard drive on a Sunday afternoon. Was able to buy a replacement drive and start transferring files to it overnight. Thor came in Monday morning and installed the new drive, and I was back to work by Monday afternoon. Outstanding! Note: They don't process credit cards by phone or with a CC#, have to bring in the card to swipe.

Our iMacs problem was that it lost the pictures from iPhoto. When I picked it up it had less than 100 photos available. They also loaded a different operating system that I was not aware of them doing. A kind staff person helped me with that and also was able to retrieve the lost photos. I'm glad I had the system booted up before I left their store. Whoever originally worked on our computer did a poor and incomplete job. The 5-minute pick up turned out to be an hour wait.

Maybe I don’t understand the process, but I had an appointment for battery replacement. I thought that meant I could expect my iPhone to be worked on at the time of my appointment. Instead it seems like my appointment was only the window of time in which to drop my phone off as I was asked to come back in a little over 2 hours. If I had known this going in, I would have planned my day differently. I did hear one of the staff tell another customer there was only one person working in the back, so I understand that there is a limit to how quickly things can move. However it seems like there could have been adjustments to the staff ratio of repair people to front of store employees since I counted at least 8 of those. That said, my phone is working perfectly now. Every employee I encountered was more professional than I expected and didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t want, which I appreciate.

I've been to this store 5-6 times since it converted to Simply Mac (from PeachMac or whatever it was last time), and they have NEVER solved my problem. I think the service department is just a ploy to explain to you why your device is beyond repair and "you gotta upgrade." The first time I believed them and bought a new MacBook Pro - only to find out later the "problem" was a cheap and easy fix. The second time was my iPhone - "sorry sir, it's not your battery after all; the phone's just gone bad and we can't fix it." One trip around the corner to UbreakIFix and I'm back in business in 30 minutes. If I stay in the Mac ecosystem (not at all certain) the next time I upgrade I'm taking my money anywhere else but Athens, GA Simply Mac. Update 5 months later: the UbreakIFix solution is STILL working.

I brought in a 2012 MacBook Pro that was seriously ailing, and the tech reviewed the likely costs of repairing (more than current value of the computer) and then spent a good bit of time with me reviewing new iPads and MacBooks that could answer my needs for weight and handling photos while traveling. The tech was VERY well versed in the differences of the pieces of equipment and helpful in suggesting a MacBook Pro with plenty of space but no overkill in terms of storage capacity--I use an external SSD for iTunes and Photos--and cost. I had spent time in the Apple Store in the Mall of Georgia a few days earlier and had a not so great experience with the salesperson and didn't seem to want to spend much time with me. iPhone 7 Plus speakers stopped working and super faulty and glitchy. Also the home button wasn’t working. Took it here and they ran their diagnosis via the machine and told me my microphone was failing, my speaker was failing, my vibrate was failing, and a few other issues. Would charge me the max $350. this phone was bought a few months ago and I hadn’t dropped it so I was extremely frustrated. Also, I knew all those parts wouldn’t be just failing. I went over to the ufix we break third party repair. told them the issues I was having and they did their diagnostic test, which involves opening the phone and looking at the chips to actually see if they are failing/malfunctioning. Turns out, all they needed to do was Move a wire into the correct position. Saved $350 with a simple fix from an honest third party repair. It’s not that simply Mac did anything wrong, I’m just saying be careful with their electronic “diagnostic test” that plugs into your dock. I’ve had issues with Other Apple stores and their diagnositc tests ending up being incorrect (one Mac store told me a laptop was water damaged $3000 to fix... turned on a few weeks later). So if you have any issues that are ridiculously priced at an apple store and their diagnostic tests, try a third party first.

Horrible Horrible service, this place needs to be shut down, don't even take your phone their because it's a waste of time, I got an iPhone 7 plus at the beginning of November and it hasn't been working correctly since I got it, they made me stand in there for 3 hours, Just to tell me that they weren't going to give me another phone and that they were going to send it off somewhere, which was fine because the staff worker said it would take 3 days, I have not heard from them in a week, And I am going today and demanding a new phone. It's ridiculous when someone knows one procedure and then the next person has no idea why the first person told me that. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, LONG WAITS, UNEDUCATED WORKERS.

I was apprehensive about this Simply Mac location because of the numerous one star reviews. However, it's the only Apple service center within an hour from me without having to drive into Atlanta. I signed in at the computer and was 7th in line. My wait time was about 1/2 hour. There was a comfortable couch in the waiting area. Once my name was called, I got excellent service. Jack assisted me and was very knowledgeable. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will definitely use them in the future.

I was somewhat unsure about coming to this location versus an Apple store, but I trusted the recommendation of an Apple advisor and am so glad I did! I was so worried my computer was beyond help, but Joseph was very kind and efficient with his testing of my device. Though I had spent 4 hours on the phone with Apple advisors the day prior, Joseph knew what the problem was within minutes and was able to have my computer back to me within an hour for only $70 when I had feared a much higher cost repair or a new computer all together. I would highly recommend visiting SimplyMac for service of your device. I will definitely be back.

For whatever reason, it has been MONTHS since this place has taken Apple Pay AND cards without a chip. Now, a lot of this is out of the hands of anyone who works in this store, but it shows a flawed company in general. Its people are its only saving grace. Take the same team, but them in almost any other store, and I'll rate it 5 stars. Unless it has been fixed recently, avoid this place. The workers are nice, but you're better served going to Buford to the Apple Store at the Mall of Georgia.

Simply Mac in Athens has always been a go-to store for anything Apple/Mac. Recently I had to have a battery serviced/replaced on a 2012 MacBook Air. They rapidly took care of that for me. When I got home I noticed a crack in the "barrel" or plastic cover on the back of the laptop. I believe this was due to age and use, not anything done at or by Simply Mac. However, the store manager, Ryan, went over and above to take care of this for me. He even let me drop it off a couple of hours prior to their opening to adjust to my existing schedule of appointments. OUTSTANDING customer service. Will be returning! Thank you, Ryan.

The guys at Simply Mac were excellent at customer service. I was upset about having to get a new battery on my iPhone 6S especially since I had retired drive 2.5 hours one way to have it “diagnosed” so I could order the new battery. Then I had to wait 2 weeks before I could have the battery installed. So another 5 hours gone to get the battery. The guys were very patient with my bad attitude and ended up making it a positive experience.

if you are accident prone, buy the extra insurance!! times for MAC repair are scheduled now but they got me in later that day.. I had 4-5 things wrong with my MAC Book Pro --- 3-4 slightly more than minor and 1 major issue but because I had purchased the extra insurance (Apple Care and Simple Care both) at the time I bought the laptop, it was no cost. What wasn't covered by Apple under Apple care (they are picky and don't pay for much) was covered by the added insurance. Why did I give these guys 5 stars? They told me the insurance was a good idea AND IT WAS! They were prompt, professional, estimated correctly the amount of work it needed, spent lots of time with me, and made sure I understood how and when my computer be worked on... it even came in a day early!

Worst customer service experience. Went in to get my Mac tested because the fans were always on high speed and the battery was draining. The man there made some assumptions based on my gender and told me it was the keyboard cover that was causing the problems and that it wasn’t worth doing a diagnostic test. He kept telling me that “the magic of the apple store fixed it.” I told him that there was something wrong with the computer, you could clearly feel the heat and fans going, and asked for advice. Another man walked over and said, “just do the diagnostic and make her pay 70 bucks.” I found that comment, while true information, degrading because of the manner in which he said it. Will find somewhere else to go in the future.

I refuse to ever go back to this store. The first time I had issues with my MacBook Pro I handed it to them working and it took them a month to have it tested. They told the the SSD failed and I lost everything. It then took them 2.5 more months to replace the SSD for an exorbitant price. The SSD they replaced then failed a year later and they at first refused to tell me whether they or I was the one who bought it. I finally pried out of them that they bought it but they would not process the warranty paperwork and would make me pay full price for a new SSD. Don't bother with SimplyMac! Go to MacSource! Eric is knowledgeable, does excellent work, and is upfront about options and costs. He tested and replaced the SSD the day I brought it in and had it working that day. It is still working over a year later.

The system of scheduling an assessment appointment. Having their tech confirm my screen was cracked for an iPhone 8+. Then, waiting for them to order the screen. Then, having to schedule another appointment to actually have the phone fixed seemed pretty antiquated in today’s world. It took two trips, multiple phone calls wasting a lot of time just to replace the screen of an iPhone 8 plus that was functioning properly but had a cracked screen. Maybe not Simply Mac’s fault. End result, my phone is fixed and they did a great job fixing it. The process of getting it fixed was frustrating.
