I have been a customer of northern tool since 1989 when I became a professional pressure washer,over the years I have probably spent $20,000 on pressure washing supplies,I have always recommended northern to my friends that needed a pressure washer for home use or starting a pressure washing business,I let people know that northern unlike Lowe’s or Home Depot had a service department,in all my years with northern I have never had to use the service department other than to order parts,I recently purchased an engine which I put into service several months ago - ( just for the record I have 18 pressure washers) this engine cut off and would not restart on my last two jobs which caused me some problems ,this engine was under warranty so I assumed there would be no problem - I talked to the service manager,the manager,the regional service manager and the regional manager with no results over a $169 engine that had issues - they all talked to me like I was stupid,when I went to pick my engine (that was under warranty)they wanted to charge me $35 for running the engine,all they did was crank it up and let it run - - they did not try to diagnose the problem - to make a long story short I will never darken the door of northern tool ever,if anybody needs pressure washing supplies I would recommend water cannon on line shipping is free - - - having northern treat me like this after all these years is sad, you just lost a good loyal customer —- if you buy something from northern and think your you are going to get good service you are going to be disappointed
