Holy terrible. Never have I ever. No words. Never mind, this exact store changed my purchase date on my history invoice. Why? Cause they messed up royally. Apple this is a disgrace. I have had to go to this store 20 times in august to be treated as though I’m robbing the place only to find out that someone didn’t check ID and sold a phone under my name and account. And the only treatment to solve my issue is the door. What’s wrong with you?!!!

Good store, rush on sales. Once is traded my ipad in they were finished the just left us. I had a screen protector and didn't even help to remind to take it off. Couldn't put emails in Ipad and had to wait to get help to fix the problem. The other sales member was able to fix the problem. It needed updated before emails or anything could be installed. Sales representatives should insure you don't have any problems before leaving you, and make sure you have your protective covers and cases.

Good shop with helpful staffing. You may feel $20-40 up pricing for the models compare to online purchase. The price was same both online and Apple store for the model which my friend was looking for. This up pricing is because of tax difference. In Apple store you have to pay more tax than online purchase. And their stuff confirmed that.

We had to wait two hours for our appointment (we scheduled one ahead of time but still had to wait). So please please please if you are planning on speaking to an apple staff or having someone fix a product schedule it online before hand and keep on them to get you in on your scheduled time or they will just make you wait like they did for us. The apple staff was helpful with fixing our iPad, but they could not figure out how to fix my BRAND NEW iphone (I updated it and it just shut down and stopped working) so they told me to "just buy a new iphone" go figure.... Anyways they were nice but as always apple just wants you to buy a new product if it didn't work.

I took an imac in for repair. Even though it is an older machine I was treated like a valued customer. Through no fault of their own it took longer than originally thought. They went out of their way to accommodate me knowing I live 2 hrs away. These guys are the greatest especially Chris and Christine.

I have been completely utterly satisfied with this store. The complaints against it amaze me. Prices higher than other Apple stores? Unlikely. No parking? It's a downtown location. There are parking garages all over the place (one is right behind the store on St. Philip street - that's the one I use). I have gotten a lot of help at the Genius Bar. A Good image of Apple products ruined FOREVER. Apple forced me to do a system upgrade to Sierra OS for my 2011 MAC BOOK pro. I say “forced” because a few programs weren’t working correctly, Google Chrome wouldn’t work and some websites weren’t opening at all. They were some very important web sites too, such as online banking. I had no other option but to start an OS update. Soon after Sierra loaded, my laptop stopped working. I immediately took it to Apple store only to find out that my video card has been “fried” due to a stress that was put to Mac Book’s hardware during Sierra update. To my disappointment, I also was informed that my laptop is “VINTAGE” and Apple’s Geniuses wouldn’t service it. What a nerdy way to deny service. Also, the logic board and a video card repair were done on this very Mac Book in 2014, but it is vintage and I get neither warranty nor service. I lost all the files, family videos and photos and the lap top itself. Third parties shops quoted a repair for 1000$ part plus labor. No more Apple for me!

I walked in and was in immediately greeted by an employee who was super helpful and pleasant. She had really great multi-tasking skills as she assisted me with my return and also helped others walking through the door. I can't remember her name, but she was blonde wearing red framed eye glasses. She definitely needs to be promoted to team lead or some mangent position because she was so graceful. The store was super busy but I managed to get in an out in jiffy. The rep also educated about free services for business owners that I had no idea were available. I would definitely recommend to this store.

After waiting well over 2 and almost 3 hours and 2 text messages saying "we are almost ready for you". ,they tell us to wait another 2-2.5 hours to have a cracked screen repaired, which we said on arrival was the reason for today's visit. suddenly it could not be repaired today. The unprofessional, uneducated individual on arrival could have told us that. And then to be told "if you had come in earlier..". We did!!!!! Almost 3 hours ago!! When you said it would be done!!! We walked straight out, will be getting android phones. NEVER ever apple again. It would suit the Apple Store well to get some adults working in the store, the uneducated teenagers currently working there are ill prepared and quite frankly disrespectful of time. We are furious. Will be telling everybody about this and will never buy apple products again. Shame on you Apple Store employees. So the question for the manager (who fits the bill of unskilled workers at this place) is; the guy that checked us in, writing down the reason for visit (cracked screen), saying come back in "probably an hour an half", should he have told us "no it can't be done today", or "come back in 2.5 hours during which time we will text you two messages that saying we are almost ready for you but when you get here, we will first tell you it will take 2-2.5 hours to fix followed by "leave your phone here over night or come back tomorrow because we are actually not able to do it today". So either the first guy or the second guy is incompetent but the manager for sure is. They stole 3+ hours of my time and although I know I make quite a bit more per hour that the minimum wage these people deserve, it is unbelievable thT they can get away with this level of disservice. I can't fathom how you promise a service, let people wait almost 3 hours without warning that they may not be able to do it, and then with no visible regret, dismiss a (soon to be former) customer. Our household will all switch to non-apple products, that is for sure and I hope the so-called manager of this facility has as miserable a life as his vain phone voice would have you believe he has.

Since Apple does not have a store in Myrtle Beach, SC (Are you listening Apple?) I had to wait until we visited Charleston to have the battery changed in my iPhone 6S. It was this past Sunday. I did not have an appointment but was there for the 11AM opening. I was checked in even before the store opened and was taken just 10 minutes after opening. We got the paperwork done and I was told my phone would be ready by 12:15PM. I showed up at 12:30PM got and paid for my finished phone and left. Really nice store with very helpful & friendly people. A must for Apple and Non Apple folks alike.

I drove two hours to this store to have my laptop repaired after it had water spilled on it accidentally. The wait was not long at all since I had a reservation. However, the “genius” was extremely rude to me when I was just asking simple questions about if my storage would be saved. He acted like I was stupid for even asking him questions about what he quoted as an $820 repair that would take 6-8 days and my storage would be lost. I wasn’t able to pay over the phone so he said he would save the quote and I could call Apple Care to continue and pay online. When I called Apple Care they said he had closed the quote, despite what he told me. Apple Care then quoted me only $500 for the repair – $300 less than the “genius.” When I mailed it in to Apple it took less than 2 days for the repair and all of my storage was saved. The employee at the store was completely wrong and rude for no reason. The term “genius” has definitely gone to his head.

I placed an order online the night before my visit, under the impression that doing so would allow me to skip all the wait and grab my purchase faster. However, I could not be more wrong. From the time I walked in, I was made to wait for my items to be ready. During my 45 minute wait, I watched as many customers walked in, made a purchase in store, and walk out faster than I could get my order, which was made in advance. This resulted in me having to cancel my online order to purchase in store in order to get my items without waiting another hour. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE

Getting to Apple King Street can be really challenging for most times of the day because of traffic (try not to turn left on King if you can avoid it). Once you actually do see it, you have to hope and pray to whatever you believe in that you’ll find a parking spot... or pay to park in a lot. After you’ve obtained a parking spot and you enter the store, you realize it’s... just another Apple Store. It’s not really special like the Chicago or New York City store, but it’ll get the job done. Like other Apple Stores, this one gets backed up on weekends, holidays, and when a new product launches. If you must go, being quarters or cash to park, and be prepared to walk. Other than that, it’s an Apple Store— go crazy I guess.

I had an amazing experience at this store thanks to the customer service rep, Gideon. I was searching for wireless headphones to run in and was particularly interested in the AirPods. Gideon was very knowledgeable about the products, gave me a demo of the AirPods where I was able to try them on and sync them to my phone, and he was overall the most friendly customer service representative I’ve encountered (and that says a lot because I work in food and bev). Also the store seemed very busy yet I was taken care of immediately. 10/10 recommend this location and I will be coming back to this location for anything else I need!!

Sorry my last experience in this store was a bunch of non experienced people that did not know how handle my problems it took me 7hours calling my carrier apple care numerous times some of them was very inconsiderate. I want to know who’s the manager? I asked for the manager three times three times I got three different managers. When you’ve just been told your water damaged IPhone has to be replaced, you always wish you could meet an Apple employee like Victoria Sweatman to help you out. Today, my daughter and I were fortunate that Victoria was available when we walked into the Apple Store. This is a nice Apple Store in a convenient location. The staff are friendly and knowledgable about all the products, which was no surprise. They handle the crowds well and are patient. If I had one complaint, it would be that it’s almost hard to NOT get help if you don’t need it, they try really hard to help you even if you would just like to look yourself and already know about the products. But this isn’t a real complaint. This is a great store and they really seem to care about their customers. They let me take my time picking out a watch and prepared a few different watch/band combos for me to try on.

If I could give zero start, I will. This is definitely one of the worse customer experience I had. The iphone6 battery has problem, my dad's phone is on recall. Called them, and was told I have to bring the phone to the US to have it fixed (My dad is in China). He has to fly all the way back here to have the battery changed. No mailing option available, period. Got to the store, was told need to wait ON SPOT for almost three hours. Because of Apple's fault, we need to pay for the flight all the way to US, and half day off from work, just to get replaced. oh and, I can't go anywhere except looking at their dumb products while waiting. Thinking I will spend one more penny on Apple? Hell No!! No more Apples for entire family and thanks for your "Worst" Customer Service.

George, one of the manager's here was one of the worst I've experienced in retail. I am afraid that Apple King Street is indicative of a declining culture of customer service excellence at Apple. Shame on you, Apple. It’s your iPhone 7 that has the issue of not being able to connect to the VZW network. My daughter is on the road alone driving from SC to S Florida with no phone service. She drove 2 hours out of her way to go to YOUR store for a replacement phone (as was recommended by VZW) only to be told they would replace the phone for $300 on the spot or they could ship it back and it would take 12 days. They were fully aware that she was traveling alone on a very long trip. They sent her on her way and said “it’s too bad you don’t live close to here because we could give you a loaner”. Really, Apple? Thanks a lot. What if that was your daughter traveling alone with no access to Maps or a phone? Shame on you.

In my opinion Apple has become a great company for many reasons, one being that they once offered great customer service and in-store experiences. But I feel now that they are at a new low. I Purchased my first Apple Mac book pro a couple of years ago I paid $2000 for it I did not buy the extended warranty for three years because typically I don't have a problem with my computers or laptops. All of a sudden my MacBook won't turn on and I took it to a computer shop who told me to take it to an Apple care . Apple said that 2015 & 2016 Models were recalled because the cable was bad and that this was the same type of a problem the computer actually works but the cable is bad and won't allow me to open up the laptop completely. It would be a $700 fix or I'd have to buy a new computer I am hesitant to have anything to do with Apple if they are not warranting an issue that they know is a problem like the cable. It is defective. I was hoping that they could give me a discount on a new computer considering the situation but it seems like they're very rigid and inflexible. I have tried calling the Apple Store but only get the support on the phone telling me it probably wouldn't be worth going to the main store for since I originally went to the satellite store and the Apple Store is two hours away from me - it would be an all day affair they thought it would not be worth my while

People may complain about either the staff or the amount of people usually in the store, but for the most part that's just how Apple stores are. If you need time for assistance I can only suggest coming in within the first hour or possibly last hour of business. Otherwise great location, staff meets expectations mostly.

To Those Considering Going to This Store: Ensure you exhaust all efforts with the online chat/and telephone customer service first. The worst thing about going to this store for satisfaction and not getting it is finding out that there are additional steps to troubleshoot an issue that could have been done before you bothered to go here. When the online/chat group tells you three times that the only next step is to visit the store...hang up or start a new chat and try one more time rather than visit this store...as to that... To Apple: DO NOT presume we are happy to wait to see you for an appointment for a defect in workmanship in your product. DO bother to prepare for what is going on with your customers that have spent many hours dealing with your online support by chat/phone rather than making them explain it again as if you just met them for the first time. DO presume that someone that owns a lot of your equipment may have high expectations for service given what you charge for your equipment. DO NOT give smart aleck answers like "I told you SEVERAL times what the end game is" when your customers are forceful or assertive b/c you have pulled them through a metaphorical key hole to solve a simple problem with equipment YOU sell for a handsome price. RE: your lovely location: You have a beautiful store in down town Charleston, SC. You should consider relocating your Charleston, SC store to a more convenient location in Charleston. Most large retailers, especially those that provide in store service for their customers, moved out of down town Charleston in the 1980s. It is very difficult to get to your store without a long drive through a mostly tourist or college pedestrian area full of slow moving traffic. Parking is very difficult. Less than 10% of the area population work, live, or play in down town Charleston. As a Charlestonian who has frequented down town since grade school I love down town Charleston but find it very difficult to do business with Apple there. Combined with your slow turn around time for appointments and service it very well may be easier to get on a series of connecting flights to visit the Vatican and request an audience with the Pope than to visit your store to accomplish things. As a very large company you should consider a more convenient location. There are plenty of more accessible retail locations in Charleston that also cater to the more upscale clientele you are pursuing without limiting your access by being on King Street in Charleston next to hundreds of smaller and more local shops. There are plenty of upscale shopping areas with lots of free parking and easier access where 25% to 50% of our population lives versus making us traverse bridges and small uneven road to get to your silly store location on King Street. This is the worst customer service I have ever received. I have seriously gotten better customer service from a McDonald's at 3 in the morning. I would rather have a 3 year old untrained chimp from the middle of Africa try to fix my computer than to step foot back in the apple location. If you want to get annoyed and still have nothing fixed then sure, reach out to this location. The apple rep on the phone even told me to reach out to L2 Technologies in Mount Pleasant because their store manager wouldn't even work with him to resolve the issue... I hope this location goes out of business because I would rather drive to North Carolina than have this location represent a brand that I have been using for 8 years.

Had a little hiccup at first. They scheduled a display replacement for me then when I got there at the correct appointment time they said they were no longer performing display repairs that day, I pitched a bit of a fit because they are the ones who made the appointment and they got me in. Wow this place is busy. But the staff was great. Knew the wait would be 2 hours got my name an number an had a tech call me to fix issue. I was out within 10 minutes. Then on my way having fun with my child.

I have been fighting with my laptop for a month due to various reasons and the employees at King Street Apple Store went above and beyond my expectations and provided the BEST customer service I have ever experienced!! They not only listened to everything I had to say about what was going on, they acted in a quick and professional manner, and continually made sure that I was getting the help I needed. I am so thankful for everything they have done to help ease the stress of having a laptop quit on you repeatedly. I don't know what I would have done if they weren't there to rescue me! Traveled almost 3 hours to store. Had appointment for one but got there at noon and they were able to take us early. Brand new phone died after only 7 months. Gave us a new phone right away. Only there for 45 minutes. Edit: after 3 weeks we will have to return. The new phone they gave us has stopped working. When making a call you can’t hear anyone and they can’t hear you. Another 3 hour drive. Knocking review from 5 stars to 2 stars.

Very poor customer service. I've always hated apple products because of their unreliability, expense and poor customer relations. My fiance and I came here to get help with his iPhone that was only a week out of it's warranty and the staff told us too bad basically. We stated we would shop with other brands for now on and he could truly care less. I wish I could remember his name. (Always get people's names!!!) Must be nice to own a company so rich that they don't care for your business. Goodbye forever!

If you have an old apple device you can send it in for store credit. Sent in my two laptops, however they really ding you on the value for any defect on your device. It was nice though to send in and at least get something for it. Computers you have to mail off, cell phones you can take into the store.

Worst experience I have ever encountered with Apple. My phone quit working while I was on vacation so I drove 2 hrs for them to tell me that my phone had water damage. As I tell you this my phone is a iPhone XS Max that is suppose to be able to resist water up to 2 meters for 30 mins this is per their site. My iPhone had no red water mark that Apple uses to determine water damage. It has never ever even attempted to be emerged in water. Their may of been sand particles from the beach. They refused to honor my warranty saying heat damage was water residue on the inner outside of my phone. I would not recommend this apple store to anyone and will be reaching out to Apple Corp. the Manger was very rude and jokingly suggested I could buy one for $599 and yes I was not at my best manners, but these people do not put the customer first.

Go see Liza!! She will exhaust all possible ways to get you an upgrade!! Always take your phones here first!! Never deal with your carriers pathetic buy back offers or Asurion (not certified Apple techs). I am an AT&T customer. They sent me 3 broken refurbished phones. Apple gave me $250 for my iPhone 7 (AT&T offered $90). They also can put the remaining payments on your bill or you can use the credit for in-store purchases.

Worse customer service experience of the holiday. Horrible treatment of loyal and disabled customer. Matthew greeted me with a nice smile and handshake. Good service ended there! All I needed was to pick up the apple ipad ordered. He promised to take care of me and failed. Had me drive around the block three times and hold up traffic during holiday traffic because he didn't have get my order ready. He was more concerned with making a new sale and commission? Then he had the audacity to lie to my face. When I told him he got a zero for customer service, his response was "that's alright". Poor representative for the Apple brand and they need to train their employees.

Traveled 2 hours for two separate Genius Bar appointments. Great service- both store associates I worked with were efficient, effective, and they really took the time to explain everything to me. One of my computer issues involved a lengthy reboot, and while I was waiting, many store associates stopped and asked if I needed anything. Everyone seemed quite busy, so their concern and high level of customer service was extra appreciated. With any Apple Store repair visit, plan to be there a bit. Bring a snack, or a book, and the right mindset- and the time will pass just fine.

When I messed up my MacBook Pro fooling around with the settings last night I was 100% positive I would have to pay some kind of diagnostic fee or big charge to have the Apple Store figure out what was wrong. I got there this morning first thing and was able to go right in. A gentleman named Mateo was quite possibly one of the most helpful retail associates I've ever dealt with in any store. He got my problem fixed very quickly and explained how he did it. Because of Mateo I will definitely come back and tell all my friends and family about the great experience I had at the King Street Apple Store. Thank you very much Mateo.

Went in to upgrade to the newest model a week after the iPhone 11 came out and the place was PACKED. As expected, there was a bit of a wait which was fine because the staff directed me to where I should wait. When it was my turn to be helped, Ro (the employee that worked with me) was very attentive and kind, and suggested what she thought was the best fit for me. The buying process was super easy and laid back, and I will DEFINITELY be returning when it's time to upgrade again. Thanks, Apple!

Appalling. Between my family and my firm we have spent over $100,000 at Apple. Add to that the referrals I used to give to college students and lord knows what the number is. Most companies work around their customers schedules, Apple expects you to work around theirs. 3 hours to wait for someone to help fix a broken product. When I asked to simply buy a new one - the MacBook Air plus some accessories (would probably have spent over $3,000) I was told I would have to wait at least 20minutes to speak to someone. No more Apple for me, straight to Best Buy, dumped everything Apple and went another route. Apple needs to realize that it has customers, and that customers come first.

I was a little skeptical about going into the store after reading some of the reviews but let me tell you don't be because I had an excellent experience and it was worth the drive all the way down town the only negative is the parking which I got lucky and found a public parking place not even a block away from the store Apple which cost me $6 to park there but I didn't mind wasn't that far of a walk to get to the Apple Store soon as I walked into the door I was greeted with a nice associate they told me it was a 40 minute wait it was packed I didn't expect it to be so packed during the weekday but that's okay I went a block down to a cafe had a nice drink and by the time I was done with my drink they have already texted me telling me to come back they were ready for me soon as I came into the store they got me started and fixed my issue immediately with no hesitation and I was on my way very wonderful experience also had a very good conversation with the person helping me he was very nice and polite I do not remember his name I just remember him having a sleeve of tattoo on his left arm and he was a very nice gentleman overall good experience

I didn't have an appointment. The staff was very helpful and efficient. They did warn me that after they took my computer back to run it, depending on what the issue is I may need to make an appointment. Luckily it was just the mag power adapter that they promptly switched out for me and gave me a tip on how to store it without ruining the cord. It took 15 mins tops. Very happy. :)

Trey was awesome! He was very patient, polite, and professional. We came to upgrade our phones on New Years Eve about an hour before closing time and ran into a few bumps along the way (things we had to do on our end) that prolonged the process. Trey stayed with us 30 minutes after closing time to make sure our phones were properly working/updated and charged. We so appreciated his patience and knowledge working with us- and he never once made us feel rushed!

Because you can't just leave a review for the company as a whole, I've wasted countless hours on the phone or going to the UPS store to return 2 LEMON MacBookPro's that arrived DOA. 2 in a row. Now I'm on my 3rd attempt with a 3-day delay because they choose the cheapest carrier, UPS, to deliver the laptop, and they either drop the box w/ no signature required or ring the bell and runaway w/ box, or they use the best, FedEx to deliver a USB attachment. Where is your head? I liked it better when Bill Gates was bailing out Steve Jobs, and the mafia ran UPS. Apple has a contract w/ UPS so you can't have it delivered to a local UPS store. BS

Takes forever to get in the line. I tried to make a reservation in advanced but was put on hold for like half hour and no one picks up the phone. The lady at the front does not want to cooperate or accommodate. She does not even want to talk to you, refuses to answer any question. I never expect that changing a screen would take forever. You pay $150 for a screen and yes nothing is guaranteed. Do no visit if you have any other choice!

Nothing spectacular inside; but they deliver great customer service. I have been here a couple times for miscellanies issues/inquiries. All of the time they have been very pleasant and helpful. The tables are always crowded up and so many peoples huddled in there that it doesn’t make it so pleasant. This past weekend although it was busy/getting busier; everyone had a cheerful demeanor and a positive attitude. Alex helped out a ton on this visit, she was awesome.

customer service is the worst, Had a conformational email for an appointment. When I got there I was told it would be 2 hours. They denied that the conformational email came from them. I was told that I must be someone phishing. I showed them the email and kept saying it was not them. Had their phone number on it and again they said it wasn't them. I left and will have my service work done by a third party. As I was informed it would void warranty but better option than dealing with them.
