This was my second purchase from wickford Appliance. I have to Say Ashley gets 5 stars from me all day long. Delivery was prompt and on time however the cord that they brought was too short, which is ok, but rather than offering to get us a longer cord they suggested that I move the outlet so the shorter cord would work. You really can't just move the outlet without making other changes. I called Ashley and she got right on it for me.
The clothes dryer I wanted was $100 less expensive at Wickford than at all three of the major chain appliance retailers in the area, plus they could deliver the unit more quickly than two out of three of them. Installers were quick and polite. Best of all I was able to support a local business.
Purchase a GE washer and dryer combo was told that i would get 100 dollar mail and rebate for each product and was a great deal so i purchase both. First time turning the dryer on since they didnt put the gas line i had to get some one to come in and installed it.$$$. The dryer made this grinding noise so i grab my level and checked if it was level ( did this 3x) and sound still happend. I put in a service called on a product that is brand NEW and had a tech look at it which he said it wasnt properly vented. I fix that issue and problem so far is gone mind you they had set everything except the gas line but whatever. I was also thinking they where going to mail my rebate in for me since i didnt get any paper work for it on the date of purchase. a month later and a called from me about it and now i was told its $50 for both And she would have the rep email my rebate for me

replaced every major kitchen appliance in our home after a disaster. My wife and I paid close to 8 thousand dollars. we purchased an expensive range and they had a deal that included a hood vent for the range. I though his was great because we were going to buy one separately, however the hood vent is supposed to be for under the cabinet. I asked the sales rep ashley if they had a sleeve/chimney cover that was 30" wide that would work for us and to my surprise they did, added it to the order omitting that the sleeve was a "special order and could not be returned even though it seems to be a common item online and that it only works for ceiling over 9' I was not home to take the delivery and would have rejected it at the door however when I returned home and noticed how large it was I called ashley as was told I could not return the item and that I should have it cut down to size. why should I have to pay to alter an item that doesn't fit that is designed for tall ceilings? am I the expert? I don't sell appliances for a living. had I not purchased the item I could have purchased a normal size hood vent with chimney for less than its going to cost me to fabricate the free one. first It should have been explained that it was an item that could not be returned and two that it was for tall ceilings. I will not recommend you purchase anything from this store. You may think buying local is a good idea but I assure you its worse that the big box stores they treat you right until you buy and once you've taken possession of the products your out of luck. at least places like home depot or best buy allow you to make returns especially if the sales person made the mistake. I will never buy anything from this store ever again. DO NOT DO IT!

Before I purchased anything at Wickford appliance & lighting, I stopped at JK Electric to see there selection. I of course took pictures of all the item numbers I was interested in. One item I was interested in was a mnr1613bn which wickford was selling it for $60.00 I found the same one in JK electric for $27.00! Then on top of that JK electric gave me 15% off the tag. everything I looked at from you guys in you're showroom jk electric had it for way less even the IVY LED LAMPS.ibought all my lighting at jk electric that's a no brainer. I feel like I've been gypped off by wickford since I've bought lighting from you guys in the past.. Not a happy customer.

Everyone I encountered was professional and pleasant, from Sarah, who scheduled the delivery, to the two talented gentlemen who delivered the fridge, damaging neither my walls or the fridge in the process. I appreciate everything you did to get my fridge to me when I needed it. I'm glad I "went with my gut" and decided to shop local. I had been advised to go to Lowe's because of price, but I would rather be happy and get great service. Thank you for being a part of that. Wickford Appliance is a great place to buy appliances. We worked with Don who was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Amanda in customer service was also extremely helpful in resolving a glitch caused by our contractor. I recommend Wickford Appliance and will continue to buy my appliances there! In my experience, it's better to shop at Wickford than a big-box store.
I recently received delivery of a gorgeous Frigidaire Professional fridge and stove for a local food festival on Saturday. The product arrived in perfect condition, on time, and the delivery team was amazing! They called the night before, and when they were on their way. I've delt with them in the past with repair service and all they did was waste my time coming out multiple times and not fixing problem. Now last week I figure I give them a chance and look into buying a washer from them and I never received a call back, so I purchased from a competitor. Horrible customer service, I wouldn't recommend from my personal experience.
Older GE gas stove but solid. Oven stopped working. Everything else including broiler worked, Service came in to diagnose. They fixed the same issue 4 yrs ago. This time they claimed it needed a part that could no longer be ordered - different then last time. The service man strongly suggested a new stove. I found the part on the web. It cost $100, and I put it in myself. Same exact issue. Now I'm out $190 and still no stove. So much for paying for their service diagnosis. They just wanted to sell a new stove.
Normally I'd love to support a local, family owned business like Wickford Appliance; however, my experience with them has been terrible. Every time I've tried to talk to their service department, the wait is 15-20 minutes. I scheduled an appointment with them at the next available time (~10 days in advance). They called the day before the appointment to cancel due to an error on their part and said the earliest appointment was once again in 1 week. After getting the runaround for over 2 weeks and another frustrating 20 minute wait on the phone, I was able to cancel. If you're having issues with your appliance, save yourself the time and headache and go somewhere else. I ended up going to Sears Appliance Repair who had someone out within 24 hours and was $40 cheaper.

Just bought a new range, could not be happier with the experience at Wickford Appliance in Pawtucket! Ashley was so knowledgeable, asked us what our needs were and showed us the perfect range, and hood for us. She didn't lead us to the most expensive choices and even found ways to save us a bit more. Our range was delivered on time, early Saturday morning and the guys were very careful and professional.
After a less than satisfactory experience at a "Big Box Store" I decided to give Wickford Appliance Co a try. My friend purchased from them and had a good experience, so I thought why not. To say I was surprised is putting it mildly...The Salesperson was knowledgeable about the Washer I wanted to buy and the price after rebates was lower than I was going to pay at the BBS. Another surprise! They delivered it on time & hooked it up. I had a few questions while I was using it and called the Salesperson and She talked me through it. Kudos Wickford!!!!! I'm a customer for life....

I would think twice before purchasing any appliances here. For one their equipment you purchase breaks in a matter of a few months. Even more so if you did not purchase a warranty. Another reason is their employees whom deliver, steal from your home, damage your purchases, and barley even speak a word of English! Are these people even legal or have their backgrounds been checked! I'm sure they're breaking alot of state laws here. If I were you, I'd buy else where.

I am truly impressed with Wickford Appliances! The entire team demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and customer service from the moment I walked in the door of the Pawtucket store through the successful installation of my washer / dryer in the 2nd floor of my home. Ashley (salesperson) was consultative and knowledgeable. She proactively identified an issue with the installation of my dryer vent after looking at a picture of my new laundry closet on my phone. Her attention to detail ensured that not only did I pick the best unit for my needs, but also prevented a fire hazard in my home. The delivery and install went so smoothly, which is no small feat! I live in an older home with steep / narrow staircase and the stackable unit was going into a closet. The delivery team was fantastic and made it look easy! I am so pleased with Wickford Appliance, and grateful that I chose to do business with them.

Not sure about the sales part of it but--since service & repairs usually follow sales--for service this is not good at all. Like in the dark ages of cable companies all Wickford will do is a "morning or afternoon"!!! Four hours of wait hell, and lost wages while waiting, and never knowing if the guy is coming early or later or later. Maybe they need more service techs; what they don't need is more customers since they can't seem to handle the service calls they now have. And calling is bad, too: Voice mail with a "cheerful" message from the owner, and then VM options WITHIN more options. And all the time I'm losing income waiting for this mess. Last time ever!

Came in looking for a new set of appliances, and was promptly, and pleasantly served by their sales associate Ashley. We got what we came for, as well as some additional lighting fixtures for the house. Will use again and of course will recommend to our friends and family.

Repeat customer and could not have enough good things to say about my experience. Knowledgeable sales staff, excellent customer service, quality products, wealth of inventory on hand, great communication on delivery timing and followup. I have purchased, had delivered and installed several appliances in addition to plumbing work with no complaints or issues.

Wickford Appliance service is more than incompetent. My first appointment ended with the service employee calling me hours later to ask if I would take photos of my appliance model etc because he had forgotten. After three weeks of waiting for a part I called to follow up only to find still no part. They blamed the manufacture. I called the manufacture they knew nothing of the order. Called them back, told them the issue. Asked to have the manager call me. He never called !!!! They then couldn't understand how the manufacture had not gotten the order. after four weeks and many calls I was told they would be in Thursday. It is Thursday, no one has called to give us a time frame. They claimed they had called, left a message on my personal cell ..... no one called. Be aware these people say what we want to hear and yet do nothing. Let lying be wrong again.

I like to thank all at Wickford Appliance as my experience was great from start to finish. Starting from the time I went into the store in Pawtucket everyone was friendly and helpful in helping me with my purchase and kept me on budget. Delivery was great as they came in from removal to my new installation. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I plan on my future purchases to be here.

I had a little piece of plastic break off of my dishwasher and clogged the pump (unknowing at the time) so we called service. Charlie just left and was such a great guy! He was so pleasant and patient fixing it for us and. I feel most other companies would have taken advantage of the situation like I have been victim of in the past but that wasn’t the case. Great experience
try to buy local? support local buisness?... well dont support this one! worst buisness in rhode island worst people worst owners and worst customer service. very bad experience with this company look elsware would not recommend. we had ordered stove they delieverd the wrong one and told us it was our fault, ordered another stove it came damaged again said it was our fault. what company tells a customer a problem with a product is there fault? after fighting with the manager finally they sent us a new stove this time after a back and fourth fight it was like trying to pull teeth to get the right stove in good condition

The delivery of our new refrigerator ended up being a bit more complicated than we anticipated. The delivery team worked hard to make it a successful installation, maintained professional behavior, and problem solved well. The above and beyond service was greatly appreciated.
My friend and I were shopping for a high end washer and dryer. We are both educated professional women. We chose to avoid the big retailers and Wickford Appliances was on our top list. What a mistake! Do not go here if you are a woman who has any self-respect and does not appreciate condescending sales men. We were treated with absolute disrespect and disdain. We seemed to annoy the sales man with our questions, who apparently only wanted to hear "I'll take this one." As he began a sales pitch for one of the washers; we questioned why the reviews for said washer were so poor, his response was "women just don't know how to use these machines sometimes." I was speechless and walked out very upset. Again do not go here.
Always exceptional value and service. A must stop before the big box stores.
