Our Mac computer suddenly died and we were not sure what exactly was wrong with it besides saying we needed to reload the operating system. I contemplated buying a brand new one but the cost was just too much. I found Tricom through Google and was put in contact with Chris who was able to give me a cost estimation before even visiting. I brought my computer in on Wednesday and it was ready the following Monday! We had a brand new hard drive put in, new operating system and one cable needed to be replaced. Only $290 total versus $1000 for a brand new computer! They were super quick and nice!

I've used TRICOM for my MAC needs for many years now, and once again they saved the day (and my data). When both my main storage and backup drives became unreadable at the same time, containing nearly 4TB of data of my clients files, I became stressed to say the least. I explained my situation and symptoms to TRICOM, left the computer and drive over the course of a long weekend and upon my return,... voila, they had found the culprit and resorted my files to a usable state. Thank you Tricom! I went to the Apple store in Providence first to get my iMac looked at. They couldn't do any diagnostics because it's considered "vintage" (a 2007 machine). They recommended trying Tricom & I only WISH I'd come here first. I didn't have to wait and they fixed my computer in no time. I will definitely be coming to Tricom for my Apple needs in the future!

I could not be more impressed with the technical support and service I have received from Chris Williams at TRICOM. Frustrated by the endless technical difficulties I was experienceing with my Apple products, both at home and the office, I was desperate to find a true Apple expert to streamline and properly configure my devices to optimize their functionality. Between home and the office, I was struggling with Apple TV, an iMac, Macbook Pro, iPad, iPhone, and two separate Time Capsules on a daily basis. I didn't even know where to begin on my own. Over the years, I had used other technicians holding themselves out as "Apple experts," but with no success. This time, determined to find someone with true Apple expertise, I did my research. Chris Williams was enthusiastically recommended to me by another industry insider who did not service accounts as small as mine. In a matter of a few hours, Chris was able to configure all of my devices properly in order for them to "talk to each other," ensure that data was backing-up frequently and properly, and organize my e-mail, calendar, and notes in a way that guaranteed everything was current and backed-up on all of my devices. In essence, by optimizing the functionality of my Apple products, and configuring them properly, Chris's expertise enabled me to get the most out of my Apple products. Moreover, he explained exactly what he was doing along the way so that I gained a basic big picture understanding of my Apple products and how they interact together. Since that time, I have called on Chris often and he continues to deliver top notch, reasonably-priced, technical support. He continues to be a critical component to my business running smoothly. Chris is quick to respond and always willing to accommodate my busy schedule. I have never understood my technology better, and Chris is to thank for that. I can't say enough good things about the Staff and owner of Tricom. If you are in the Market for A new, used or even just gaining more knowledge about your computer, ipad, or phone. This is the place to come. They make you feel like your an actual human and not some number in a Que (like at The Apple store) The service is personalized and you can't get that anywhere else nowadays. Trevor Perrin in a genius when it comes to fixing any technical problem you may be having and the service is quick and affordable. Jennifer Ribeiro is an amazing Csr as soon as you walk through the door she is warm and welcoming and eager to help you with any issue you are having with you computer, phone etc... She's always very fun to chat with about non computer related issues as well! When purchasing my Mac Mitch Williams the Gm was also involved in the process, guiding me with the machine that would suit me and my families needs. He also thought it would be fun to capture the moment when Trevor was going over the new mac with me and my daughter and now we are the background on their website! Tricom seems to run like a tight-knit family they are all there to work each other to get you the best possible result. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone in search of the perfect Apple product. I recently had a great experience at TRICOM. I had the logic board of my MacBook Pro replaced and all of my data was wiped at the Apple Store. I had backed everything up via Time Machine but halfway through data transfer my external hard drive malfunctioned. I returned to the apple store, but they were unable to help so I went to TRICOM. Within a half hour, the extremely friendly and helpful staff helped be retrieve data from an old laptop computer that no longer powered up by removing the hard drive (and a lot of screws) and putting it into an enclosure. I only had to pay for the enclosure case for the hard drive. For all future problems with my Apple electronics, I will definitely go to TRICOM and not the Apple store. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Furthermore, the location is a lot less crowded than the Apple store. Thus, I highly recommend TRICOM.

Tricom is simply the best place to go with any Mac problems. Believe me, I've had my share. I love the operating system, the ease of working with it. I'm a professional graphic designer and I can't have problems interrupt my work flow. Unfortunately, every Mac I've had, from my own home computers to ones at work, have had serious issues. Hard drives and logic board have failed numerous times. I've been the the Apple Genus Bar at Providence Place Mall (ha, ha, love that name "genus"), and Computopia in Warwick. Both left me wondering if anyone knew what they were doing in RI. Through a stroke of luck, I discover Tricom. The techs there are great. The staff is courteous and they go above and beyond to fix the problem. The latest disaster I face resulted in having to replace both the logic board and the hard drive. I had already had the hard drive replace previously and due to a tech who works there named Matt suggesting that I get an extended warranty on my Mac Pro tower which is only a year-and-half old, I saved myself a bundle. Stephannie worked on this new problem and went out of her way to fix the problem, dealing with Apple who seem like they want to save money and not do the right thing. I think the problem is with the inferior parts they get from China, but that's a long story and I get nauseous thinking about it. l highly recommend Tricom to anyone with Mac issues. Don't even bother going to the Apple store. Go to Tricom. You'll be glad you did.

When the folks at the local Apple store, told me the hard drive on my 3 year old MacBook was toast...two months after my AppleCare had expired...I almost had a heart attack. They offered to replace it but said the data would be lost (my backup disk was at home in another country). Seeing my visible distress, they referred me to TriCom. Michael Shannon and his associates are not only top notch technicians, they are fine, dedicated people committed to their customers. Michael doesn't give up easily and after two days, was able to find the source of the corrupted disk, retrieve all of my data, and replace the hard drive with a much bigger one (500GB). He loves a challenge and I consider him a miracle worker! Tricom's rates are reasonable, the staff are friendly, professional, accessible and will do everything possible to serve their to customers. If Tricom can't fix your Apple products, no one can! My most heartfelt thanks to Michael Shannon for going the extra mile with this grandmother.

Going there definitely beats the hassle of parking and dealing with Providence Mall.

Fantastic service. Hard drive failure on my 8 year old Imac. Quoted a price over the phone and when I picked it up the next day thats what I payed, no surprise extra charges. Replaced it with a better hard drive and reloaded the OS. A little bit of a drive from MA, but worth the trip. Highly recommend them for quality of service and speed for Apple repairs.
