My business laptop crashed. I called a couple of other computer repair shops I was familiar with, and had trouble getting anyone to take a look that same day. I called York Computer Repair, explained my whole business was down without my laptop, and Walt had me come in right away. Walt took time to thoroughly investigate and explain the problem. Although he got me up and running, he was careful to help me weigh out the cost vs. benefit of an expensive repair or investing in a new laptop. I appreciated his candor and professionalism.

I dropped my laptop computer off ,and even though they did not fix it they were friendly ,and courteous. My computer was not fixed because he told me it needed a motherboard ,and to pay for one would be the same price as a new laptop so he gave me a option that he could fix it or I just get a new laptop. So I told him I will opt. out of getting it repaired. He knew alot about computers ,and got back to me quickly in response to my laptop the same day I dropped it off is the same day he called me back to inform me about my laptop.

Really great service. I have built my own computers before and I just coudn't figure out a problem with my video card drivers after installing a new one. He called me a few hours later and told me what the issue was and got my computer working again. Hopfully I wont need help again, but if I do, I know where I am going.

My computer that I had recently purchased was having trouble booting up and I've really never had a "computer guy" per say. So, I starting searching online and found this place less than a mile from my house! Too good to be true? Absolutely not. This business is a class act. In fact, I purchased a used monitor that I wasn't sure that I wanted and he told me to just return it and he would refund my money 100%. I highly recommend this service. They are extremely courteous, professional, and work on your equipment quickly. I had a problem with a laptop that bricked during an upgrade. The "K.I.S.S." principle is in constant use -- very helpful in making clear in simple language for non-techies what the basic issues are. Pricing? I doubt you could find a better IT value anywhere. Personal, responsive, competent service -- provided by the same person each time--someone who knows your specific situation. You are not calling in to some national call center hub getting stuck with the flavor of the day techie who talks too fast and contradicts what the previous techie/colleague told you just two weeks earlier. Slow down a bit and get local help from someone in your community who will be there for you when you need it. The "price" of not calling may be greater than you think!

I'm a small business owner and I had an emergency problem with my work laptop. I'm a consultant so my laptop is my life. Nate was courteous and responsive and walked me through my best/worst case scenario...then he managed to fix my computer in under 5 minutes! After over 4 hours with Dell support (I paid for this service mind you), the best they could come up with was a full system refresh and the loss of all of my data! Unacceptable!! After a phone call to Walt this morning, I dropped off my tower to York Computer Repair soon after they opened at 9am. I had fallen victim to a scam and needed the hard drive checked out by folks who aren't intimidated by the process. :). Walt told me that it would be taken care of and it was. I received a phone call 5 hours later telling me that my computer repair was finished and that I could pick it up later that day. That was even better than the 24-hour turnaround that Walt mentioned earlier. I met Nate during my computer retrieval and asked some questions about the damage done, future security, and regular maintenance. I was listened to and treated respectfully. He even carried the computer to my car. This company has mastered customer service. I am very happy with my first visit.
