I was totally pleased with my experience with P2P. I took them what seemed to be a difficult problem (intermittent shut-downs of my computer), they ran it through extensive testing, diagnosed the problem, and had it fixed quickly. I dealt with Matt, who was a nice person, very professional and knowledgeable. He called and texted at each step of the way. I'm the sort of person that tends to fix things myself but in this case I needed to go to someone, and I couldn't have been more pleased with P2P.

The people are very professional. My macbook pro was fixed. They did thorough diagnostics, which costed $45, after which they determined that the battery was the issue, and not the motherboard. They ordered the battery with overnight service which costed $45 shipping charges. But when the battery did not come from the vendor till a week later (back-order), they refunded these charges. Overall, a very positive experience. The computer works well so far.

We drove an hour and a half, left the phone as they were scheduled through Apple to replace the battery... show up two hours later and they wouldn't start the repair without PROOF that we owned our phone. Good location with timely repairs unlike other places. I got my computer back with a new screen in a week and a half. The diagnostic fee is kinda hefty but worth the speed of the repair. Payment though their online system is fast and convenient especially when/if you need to consult other people. They don't always hear the door chime, so you might have to knock on the employee door.

5 hours for iPhone fix broken lcd and digitizer which was pretty quick. However, it was expensive though coming out to $150 in comparison to competitors $120 nearby( which were closed at that time).

Don't go here/research EXTENSIVELY beforehand. I cracked my LCD and needed a new part + install for it. I took it in and it was required to have a diagnostic done (which is nonsensical since I knew EXACTLY what was wrong with it) for a fee. Then, when they came back with the estimate it was $280 (200 for the part, 80 for the labor) and would not honor the hefty diagnostic fee towards the repair which meant I would be basically paying nearly $350 (which is almost halfway to a pretty decent student computer). As a college kid, that was just too much money to spend without a second thought and I also was advised something was amiss by a friend. I took my computer back and started looking elsewhere, and within 20 minutes walking distance of P2P I got an estimate for HALF of their repair price, with a part cost of around 75 dollars. Something doesn't add up, and my best guess says P2P wants to make as much as they can off of a naive customer- the one who doesn't understand computers and doesn't have the sense to ask questions- as possible.

A preemptive TL;DR: /r/techsupport was more helpful and guiding than the services these people offered; all while doing it purely for the sake of just helping someone. My computer (Windows 8.1 OS) black screened on me one day switching between a game and browser. Restarting resolved nothing. I googled the issue and found a few possible solutions to no avail. Before the end of the night, I posted to /r/techsupport for help on reddit. The next day I dropped off my computer to P2P. I explained to them it black screened after logging in, and solutions through Command Prompt or through System Restore both failed. P2P's first stop was to run diagnostics, for a somewhat costly price of $35.00, but a reasonable way to start. I was told it'd take about one business day to run a full sweep. I dropped off Saturday so I expected to here something Monday morning. I show up Monday morning because I had forgotten to bring the charger with me on Saturday. Only to be told they hadn't yet completed the scan, unlike what I had been told. But they were still running diagnostics, and as I already paid, I wasn't to complain about how they did their job. But I get a call in the evening to say they couldn't see any issues with my computer and wanted to help recreate the issue to better find it (a logical process). As far as they could tell, you turn on the computer, the login comes up and everything is fine. But I explained to the guy it black screens after logging in. The man did not -even once- attempt to log in to run a program. They didn't even check to see if MS Paint would come up. That right there is fairly incompetent check-work. Day 3, I get a call in the morning with results. They explain to me that my OS is corrupted and what would be required would be a full reset. Some people said this was the only result they could find for themselves as well. However, the cost would be $150 to reset/reinstall, and $100 optional if I wanted them to back up. 2 things: 1, the average person can start in safe mode and reset/reinstall a computer for themselves for free. 2, I could still open taks via Task Manager, and therefore would be able to back up myself (literally copy onto an external harddrive). And they wanted $250 for the whole operation. I pick my computer up later that day and check Reddit for more responses for my problem. Another user suggested a different fix to the error, and by God it worked. Almost. I could reaccess desktop, but if I restarted my computer it would repeat the error. He explains to me, I should do a malware scan, asking the specific malwares and programs it would be from. Sure enough, one of those had gotten onto my computer a week ago from a bad link finding WinRar. He knew exactly the problem, and the second problem of it reoccurring. And in the process did it because he was just trying to help someone on the internet. Moral to the story, if you suffer issues with your computer, don't bother here. They'll take the easy way to just reset/reinstall and charge you a small fortune for a last resort you can do yourself for free.

I made my appointment on Apple’s website to schedule replacement of the battery in my iPhone se. They verified that they had 2 batteries in stock 3 days before my appointment and they would have one for me. I arrived for my afternoon appointment only to be told someone came in that morning with two iPhone se’s and they got my battery! I live 1.5 hours away and took off work to come here. This is a terrible example of customer service, but now I’m stuck with having to come back again. They claim they will hold a battery for me, but how can I be sure since they assured me they were holding one this time??? I’m disgusted. I will be driving elsewhere the next time I need service and I cannot recommend this company.

I was really hoping not to have to write a typical "this place is shady and deceptive" review of a tech place but after multiple difference services provided by P2P, they absolutely fit this description. They constantly provide false information about whether your device is being worked on and they do not even begin repairs or data transfers until days after they claim you will have your device back. This company is definitely shady and I would recommend that you find another service provider in the area if at all possible.

These geniuses really charged me $50 to run a “diagnostic” on my laptop when my charger port was messed up and I told them that but they decided to take my laptop apart to put it back together to tell me what I already knew what the problem was and on top of that they managed to mess up the hardware of my laptop during their “diagnostic”. Do NOT go here. 1) It’s not ADA accessible. 2) Their hours are not reasonable for working people. They need to have at least one late evening & weekend day available. 3) You have to make a minimum of 3 trips to get your device fixed: 1 to drop off, 2 to pay (bc they won’t accept payment upon completion after the ‘go ahead’ to complete repairs), 3 to pick up if you are lucky. I was told it would be ‘a day or two’ when I dropped my phone off on a Monday. My phone wasn’t ‘fixed’ til Friday when they mailed it, at my expense, because I couldn’t afford to leave work early 3 days in one week. It arrived Wednesday & it wasn’t til Thursday I could get a friend to help me insert my SIM card & power up my phone. Then I excitedly open the camera & it looks like they used a substandard part because the zoom won’t work & the colors are faded/washed out & there is excessive glare from indoor lighting.

I never leave bad reviews, but if I had the same interaction with a car mechanic I would take the car somewhere else so I'm going somewhere else. I called to request an estimate about a repair for a 2015 MacBook Pro. The keyboard & touchpad are unresponsive, which I can see from Mac forums is a common failure mode for 2015 and 2016 models. I called for a best-case-scenario ballpark estimate so I can weigh the cost/benefit of repairing the computer vs replacing it. The person on the phone was unwilling to provide any information at all, because only repair technicians can give estimates. I asked if there was speak a technician in the shop, and she said yes but refused to let me speak with one because they are busy. I called on Monday morning 20 minutes after the shop opened, I have to think a technician could spare (literally) 1 minute to speak with a customer. Instead, she insisted that I need to leave my computer with them for 2-3 business days before anyone could provide an estimate. I can see that P2P has great ratings and I have no reason to doubt they probably do good work. However, if you had the same interaction with an auto mechanic (they won't talk for 1 min, just leave your car for 2-3 days), you would go somewhere else. I'm going somewhere else.

They are thieves dressed as computer guys. I went there for repair of my water-damaged laptop. Since I needed my laptop soon, I paid the rush fee ($50) in addition to the diagnostics charges ($35). After that, they took my laptop and didn't call me for 2 days despite their saying that rush fee means next day update. I was the one who always called them. After that they said, my motherboard is "fried" and I needed to replace it for which they asked $400. You cannot believe they asked me $150 to transfer my hard disk data which, later on, I did myself with the help of my department's helpdesk for free. This much said, the worst part is they took my 2GB RAM chip. I came to know about this when I got my motherboard "repaired" (not replaced) in just $25 from some other place and when I started my laptop and checked RAM, it showed 4GB instead of 6GB. When I came back to them regarding this issue (after a month) they denied and only after I took a strong stand, they said that they will look and let me know the next day. As expected, they didn't call me for 3 days and when I went there on the 4th day, they gave me my RAM. I have not seen such unprofessional guys in my whole life. So please beware of these guys. These guys have superficial knowledge about computers. Even after reading this, if you want to go to them, then just follow these advise: 1. Never ever opt for a rush fee. Its a farce and too expensive. They do not give you priority. 2. Check your computer for its accessories like RAM, hard disk , network card, etc. after you take it from them. They are thieves!

Great place for Mac and i-device repair although they offer other computer services as well. One of the very few Apple certified shops in the area doing warranty work as well as regular repairs. Great and knowledgeable staff and competitive prices should you not be covered. The biggest advantage is the location, so close to Campus which makes it extremely convenient for students and locals alike.

If you have severe issues with your iPhone, like cannot power on. Don't go to this place. They cannot fix it anyway and they delay your delivery to Apple repair centre a lot. The correct way is to schedule a shipment label on Apple official website and it is an overnight shipment to Apple repair centre for free. It saves you tons of time. Good attitude though.

Before making a trip to state college I emailed this company to see if they can fix my rear facing camera on my iPhone and to quote me on a price. I received and email back stating the fix would be $140 +tax and it would take 2 hours to fix my phone to come down anytime they are open. On Monday I make a trip down to P2P Computers and the receptionist tells me they have to do a mandatory diagnostic test and that would be a $35 fee. Not once was this communicated through our emails. She then states that it will take two hours for the fix if they have the part for it. Not checking to see if they have the part before I leave the store or anything. I come back after the amount of time and they have done NOTHING with my phone. She tells me they don’t have the part in stock and asked if she could keep my phone overnight so they can install the part on Tuesday. I told her no with my job I can’t be without my phone. I said I would return Thursday to have the part installed. Thursday comes around and I call P2P before driving up to make sure they will be able to fix my phone this time. The guy on the phone tells me they do not have the part for my phone. I asked him why not, I was to leave my phone over night and 3 days later you don’t have the part for it. He couldn’t give me an answer and said if the shipment truck comes today he would call me. I would never recommend this business to anyone. They are sketchy and unreliable. In the end I took my business elsewhere to get my device fixed.

So far it's been one long expensive, never-ending, nightmarish hassle since I brought my iMac computer home from this place after two weeks of being without it. Nevertheless, I am still hoping to get my issues resolved. I am presently working directly with Apple support so that just maybe I won't have to drag my heavy iMac to crazy downtown State College, PA from Bellefonte, PA a second time.

Absolutely terrible. I dropped my laptop off for a repair, I was told it'd take 1 day to fix. I don't receive a call for several days and when I call them to check up on the status, I am told it is a whole different problem and they're going to require another few hundred bucks to fix it. I'm feeling skeptical so I request a refund and they tell me it'll take them about a month to get the money back to me... Absolutely terrible.

Professional and courteous - they're the only authorized Apple servicing spot in the area, so a cracked iPhone screen replacement is Apple pricing, and doesn't void the warranty for future incidences if there ever problems again.

ZERO STARS !!! If I could do 0 stars I would. Terrible customer service. What they tell you on the phone and what actually happens are totally different. They quoted us $47 and 1 hour for battery replacement. We had an appointment at 10am. The phone was done at 3:00 and cost $80. They were extremely rude and unprofessional. There were multiple people in the store that were complaining due to similar situations. Go anywhere else but here

Held my Mac for 5 days for a battery replacement and did not do anything as they tried to be cheap on shipment method when I paid them $157. They did not want to spend just $20 for a next day delivery of the part. Do not recommend these clowns at all!!!

Excellent repair service on my MacBook Pro. P2P is fully certified as an Apple Authorized Service Provider, meaning they know what they're doing, they will use genuine new Apple parts, and they can save you a trip to an Apple Store (over 2 hours away for me). If they have questions about whether your device qualifies for a warranty or other free repair service covered by Apple, they will clear it with Apple. Very happy, I will use them again.

I was unhappy when I brought my computer here. they look slick and they really are. when I brought my computer in I was given a quote of between 60 and 120 dollars. when I received a call several days later, I was given several different prices all of which exceeded what I was originally told the repairs would cost. when I asked for the service with the most modest price the technician immediately called me back and told me that the price he had given me was wrong and that the lowest possible price he could give me was several hundred dollars more then what he had previously told me. When I took the machine elsewhere I was charged approximately half of what these guys wanted. Its pretty obvious when a business is just trying to take advantage of a bunch of college students during finals. I think its pretty shameful actually

Extremely frustrating. It took them 5 days just to run diagnostics, they came up with nothing but reported to me that they were able to replicate the issue I was having. Despite seeing the issue, they said they did not have the authority to do what had to be done to fix the issue. They sent it to the Apple depot, who kept it for weeks, then finally sent it back to p2p without fixing the issue. Apple claimed they could not replicate the issue, and the p2p technician never wrote down that he was able to replicate the issue. So p2p was completely useless and negligent.

Paid $37 for a mandatory diagnostic even when I told them the motherboard needed to be repaired only for them to tell me exactly what I had said and that it would cost over $400 in repairs to replace a power jack. After saying no, as that would be half the price of the computer and there are refurbished ones on the market for $140 to $160, they horribly reassembled my laptop by not putting back one of the motherboard screws and losing some of the bottom grips on the laptop case. They have horrible business practices and policies in place. Find and support a local tech enthusiast, not a business like this.

Don't know quite where to start with this one. I mean c'mon man, I went there for a simple fix over the summer and left in a fit of rage. I had an Apple Mac that got a little roughed up at a party we had the night before and needed a slight fixer up (new trackpad, keyboard cleaning, reconnect the screen and keyboard that were completely apart), but alas they literally rejected me. I mean I was willing to pay some decent money, but they told me there was nothing they could do. Thankfully, I was able to go home and give it a simple fix-up myself: nothing a little elbow grease, a few rolls of duct tape, and an industrial strength hammer can't fix as my dad always says! ANYWAY, steer clear if you need any task more difficult than installing Microsoft Office from these "computer geniuses..."

I took my 12 year old son’s computer in with a broken hinge. He was charged $50 to diagnose it and tell us after a day they couldn’t find the part. A valuable lesson for my son to choose your service providers more carefully. He’s also warned all his friends.

I am so glad I came to them for my computer repair. The man who was helping me, Matt Hill, did everything he could to get it fixed for free, and succeeded! Matt reached out to me when he heard of a program Apple extended to fix a keyboard problem that my computer was having. Not only did Matt contact me but he also worked with Apple to get my computer pushed through. I am so grateful for all his help! I would definitely recommend P2P to anyone in the State College area. The staff is friendly and helpful and they get things done in a timely manner.

If at all possible, I would try to avoid going to them for computer repairs. If you must use them, just expect the time window that they give you to be tripled. I have gone to them for computer repairs twice and once time a one day time estimate turned into a week. Do not feel forced to you use them because they are the only apple recognized provider. Many better places I would recommend downtown.

After various attempts by Verizon to update/restore my iPhone, Apple wanted me to drive to my "nearest" Apple Store in Lancaster to send my phone in for repair, but finally offered up a closer business, P2P Computer Solutions. After a quick phone conversation, I stopped in to drop off my iPhone to get repaired. The staff was ver friendly and very informative about the process. I received an email with my ticket number and was instructed to call any time I wanted an update. I was contacted a week later and was told that my replacement had arrived. When I stopped back in to get my phone, the staff was very friendly and presented all information about my repair. I will certainly work with them again with any issue I would ever happen to have again and would recommend them to everyone.
