The people were ok but the appointment for the Genius Bar is useless, you still have to wait. I had an appointment for 1:20 and wasn't seen until 1:45. And the estimated time to fix my phone was 1 hour 40minutes and it was over 2 hours before it was done. I don't mind waiting. If it's going to take 2 hours say that. If you can't help me until 1:45 then don't book an appointment 25 minutes before that.

Fair Critic

I came in so upset because my phone kept dropping service. No one wanted to accept responsibility. Especially not my carrier. (Xfinity mobile) Apple welcomed me ... no appointment at all. I was seen by a apple tech in 10 minutes of me walking in and making the appointment! He explain to me what was wrong and he replicated the problem with a different device. He took Ownership and responsibility and replaced the device immediately. By the time I left I had a brand new device and it hasn't dropped a single call yet!

Excellent store with well trained staff. Try to avoid the busy times though as it can get crowded easily

Before you come here to get your phone repaired at an, contact iphillyfixit and get it done for a fraction of the cost. Good Apple Store though, wish they could train their techs a little better because some of the things they say are just flat out wrong.

Totally a waste a time to get your computer fixed there!! Had an appointment on Sunday to fix my computer, the guy at Genius bar said they were gonna fix it right away in one hour. I said I didn't have time to wait, and he told me I can pick up anytime on Monday, since they have a whole day to fix it on Sunday. Went there Monday morning, and they told me they didn't do the work!!! Then I had to waste my Monday morning waiting them??? If the customer service is not helping me save my time, what is the point of using it? Their labor time costs my money, but my time is also valuable, and who is gonna pay me for me for spending my time waiting? I'm totally okay about it!!! Btw, the lady told me the guy I met before lied to me. Actually they couldn't do the work on Sunday. I don't care who is lying, the lady or the guy. This explanation just made me feel even worse!! People used to be nice at Apple, and now they're totally disappointing!!

After having jumped through hoops trying to get Apple to take responsibility for a MacBook Pro that was clearly a lemon and having a string of hardware issues (logic board replacement, dead battery, dead trackpad) the awesome staff at the Genius Bar replaced my computer outright. Thank you so much!

Benjamin Shive

Absolutely awful. I purchased a $2500 laptop from them and since I had a third party component installed they refused to give me a much needed battery replacement even if I paid full price for it. Now I have a $2500 paper weight.

Malinda Muzi

It is impossible to make a genius bar reservation online. Somehow the site keeps coming back to a description of what the genius bar does. Annoying as hell.

Wayne Morra

What can you say, Apple is the highest value store, 4/sq ft, ever created. Staff is knowledgeable & helpful. Best to make an appointment ahead of time.

Miqueas Jimenez

the service here is really good the apple workers are nice. And the seem to enjoy helping you

I love this apple store..... Every one was very helpful & patient.... Will be going to this apple store every time I need to go to an apple store.

The place is a mad house! The employees try their best, but on weekends they are overwhelmed.

With the lack of techs at the busy part of the day and the amount of employees just standing around really makes me wonder why people buy Apple products....

The best places to just hang out! Apple keeps everyone’s attention with its wonderful gadgets and gizmos

While I have always had excellent experience with Apple support, yesterday at Apple in Ardmore was a whole new world. Multiple employees were rude, nasty, curt, and most unhelpful. I was having my phone replaced under warranty (what happened to Apple quality ...), and late in the evening, they left me fending for myself without a working phone trying to pawn me off on my cellular carrier. I would have expected Apple to see me through the replacement of my phone, and I'm hardly a Luddite - I'm plenty tech-savvy. Long story short - find another Apple store!

Keith Schwerin

I've bought many Apple products here and been happy with their staff. The fact they now have same day delivery inside the city makes them even more helpful.

Staff very friendly except for one. Genius Bar staff well trained knows what they are doing. Very pricey, you can get a better price at EBay or Target.

I just had my worst experience in an Apple store ever; well, in any store in the US, actually. The chronology: I had an appointment at the genius bar at 5.40 to resolve an issue with my old iMac, I had checked in before my appointment upon my arrival, and ended up waiting for a full hour without anybody attending to my matters. After about half an hour, one staff member let me know that somebody would be with me shortly (other parties had been attended to in the meantime; I am unaware of their appointment times), I unpacked my to-be-repaired 27" iMac and waited. Another 15 min of inactivity later, I approached a different staff member to ask when it would be my turn, and she said I was now flagged and would be next. At 6.35 I alerted yet another staff member. I do not think I had been particularly rude. At 6.40, I packed my iMac and left with my issue not resolved. This Friday night, the Apple store was not overtly packed and during my wait I noticed several members of the staff being engaged in avid chatter amongst themselves, some groups involving staff that was associated with the genius bar just a couple of minutes earlier (I am not familiar with their staffing policy). I remember that I had once visited the genius bar for an appointment and was a couple of minutes late; I had promptly lost my slot. Had to make another appointment on another day. Just yesterday, I had bought a $2000+ new iMac to replace the one I was bringing for repair. Doesn't make any sense to you? No, to me neither.

Went in to have my 4 month old iphone 6S diagnosed, after having excessive overheating issues with it. The place was packed with customers and workers. Went to the genius bar, checked in, was told it'd be a 25 minute wait. Waited a half-hour, then found an associate and asked how much longer. She said 3 more mins and to go wait by the t.v. Finally, a red-headed associate named Allison came over to help me. After she ran some diagnostics to find the source of the overheating issues, she determined the issue was under limited warranty and gave me a new phone! She was extremely professional and made great conversation while working on my phone. She gets 5 stars from me. The location gets 2 stars from me. They need to do better at attending to customers that are there for repair/maintenance issues. Too many side convos among employees going on, & not enough attending to customers. They need to hire more technicians, and less girls that just walk around with Ipads and look cute.

Albert Thompson

They absolutely do not care. They will find any reason or excuse not to help you or do their job. They will avoid you. They'll make you wait for 40 minutes or more, only to tell you that because of some stupid security issue on their end because of how they set up their profiles, stupid security issue on their end because of how they set up their profiles, you can't use your device anymore. Or you have to make a new profile and delete everything you had on your device. This is possibly the stupidest and most uncaring company and this particular location is probably one of the most useless and uncaring spots out of all of the company.

Meagan Ebersole

I usually never write negative reviews but I feel compelled to share my experience at the Apple Store in Ardmore. I have an iPhone 6s and the known battery issue is my problem. So I wanted to talk with a sales person to see what see what my new phone options would be vs getting the battery replaced. I waited 15 minutes to talk with a sales rep- he was friendly and helpful and said because most likely a new phone would be coming out in the fall I was better off getting the battery replaced and waiting for the new phone or for the prices to drop on the existing phones. So now I have to wait for a tech person. It was over an hour wait to talk to someone about replacing the battery so we waited. Well over an hour later it's my turn. The person runs the diagnostics and says yes its your battery and we can replace it but we can't do it today because we close in 20 minutes (why didn't they tell us that before???) So my option to leave the phone over night and drive back (30 minutes) the following day seemed the only option. The next day when I arrived to pick up the woman told me because I had my battery replaced before from a 3rd party company they won't replace the battery (I was will to pay for a new battery)- which just does not make any sense at all. Beyond frustrated I just left and they could have cared less. It was such a waste of hours of my life. Not only did they not care that my issue wasn't fixed but the store was run SO inefficiently. There isn't a place to check in- you have to guess who the employee is (out of the many people that work there) that take peoples names on when to speak with a sales person or to get serviced. Honestly it's worse than going to the DMV. I hope to never have to go there again.

SCAM!!! Beware: I brought in the Ardmore store an iphone 7 with a bad ear piece speaker and was told the only way to replace it was along with the screen. One of the ‘geniuses’ at their Bar insisted it was integral with the glass and it would cost $149. He went as far as explaining in great detail how it came together and it would take about 1hr. I hesitated and walked away.... So glad I did!! A day later I walked into an independent repair shop and the man laughed and said it was untrue. He would change the speaker in about 5 minutes and it will cost $30. He showed me the process: It involved removing the 2 screws and taking the phone apart. As I suspected, the speaker was not attached to the glass!!! It took longer for the payment to go through than it did for him to replace the part and put the phone back together. Beware of the oversell and question their persuading claims and ask for proof if you decide to let Apple fix your phone! Better yet, go elsewhere FIRST!

Reza .

Run the diagnostics and assured me that the issue is not hardware on my mac pro. Not only did not fix the issue, but also erased all data and eventually asked me to pay 475 dollars to fix the hardware. The most exciting part is the agreement that you have to sign to get your device fixed: ""Apple may use parts or products that are new or equivalent to new in reliability and performance."" It means that the parts of used devices maybe installed and you will be charged for new and unused parts!!!!

Took my daughters phone in to have it repairs, as Apple has a flaw in the iphone 7 which they are aware of and will fix for free, like a vehicle recall. They look at the phone, which I own, not them, and find a hairline crack in the screen which does not affect any function and is not even visable without close inspection. They proceed to tell me I will be charged $150 for a new screen and will not fix their problem without getting the screen repaired. I cannot even fathom where they get off, they are such a monopoly and would never get another apple product if it was up to me. Could you imagine taking a car that you own in for a safety malfunction covered under a recall and they tell you they wont fix it without getting a dent removed from the finder, same idea. Absolutely worst company ever. Thanks Apple!

Went in for a warranty replacement. Recieved replacement, fine. Was told that Apple still didnt know the reason why people were experiencing random deaths of iPhone 10s. When questioned about getting a fresh warranty on the replacement since it wasn't guaranteed to not have the same issue, we were denied that and told very rudely that "Apple stands by their products so they don't have to give you anything." Very unprofessional, felt like we were told to shut up rather than having our concerns addressed. Don't waste your time here, there's better Apple store staff elsewhere. (Or better yet, better device manufacturers)

Bill Walseth

Those individuals who rated this store negatively must either be unstable people or they went to another store. I've always found Apple Store employees at Suburban Square to be friendly, of high energy, and extremely knowledgeable. I always leave the store wondering, "Do any of this Apple people have any unused brain cells.

kevin sucu

rude people and not helpfull.. he doesnt like to help me hes not even explain nice way i never go there again...

Parvathi Sankar

Cool place

Nika McManus

Excellent service! The Apple Service Technicians provided their undivided attention and their time to help me.

Joanes Pierre

I gave 1 star to reflect the poor level of service that Apple has adopted. The customer service at this Suburban Square location and certainly with Apple all around has plummeted! Forget reaching the store. Apparently there is NO MORE CALLING AND TALKING TO THE STORE! You are rerouted to some central call center where every issue is treated the same way. Very disappointing Apple!

Christopher Ross

In, out, happy. The Apple way.

Bernadette Broadhurst

So Frustrating. I am currently waiting for over an hour for a RESERVATION I had made. I thought a reservation was made so that you wouldn't have to wait like this. Apple Support on the phone is aweful and hard to understand bc they out source everything. The gentlemen who "helped" me was kind... but just set me up to wait.

Michael Stump

I took my wife there to get her phone fixed and then we had to leave to go get some kind of information place sucks

Blue Electrical

Terrible place. Wait time is eternity.

Shakar W

Good service if you fit a certain demographic, and don't simply walk up to the front of the store attempting to be helped or you will get an extremely cold brush-off from the manager. Maybe the rules/ etiquette/ politics of the Apple Store should be clearly stated. Definitely will not be going into this place again.

Niecy D

I wasn’t too happy about the 2+ hour wait, but now I know to make an appointment before going. Ruben helped us and was very helpful & friendly. After the long wait it was a relief to have our issue resolved and by such a great person. Thank you so much!!

Shamari Henry

I may be exaggerating when I say this but I’ve never received service like this before. Immediate help, straight to the point, hassle free courteous help. A young lad by the name of Darnee helped me and she was amazing. School proved difficult that day and diminished my mood. I left with the product I needed as well as a smile. PS: They aren’t pushy either.

Angela Demarco

It was an ok experience.

Corey Culbreath

Terrible customer service experience. I had to make an appointment 5 days in advance just to get through the door due to their horrible availability. I showed up for my appointment on time and had to wait for an additional 45 minutes before anyone even spoke to me. Then I was told to repair my phone would take 2 hours and that I could come back later when it wasn’t as busy. I did return several hours later just for them to tell me the exact same thing again, they were unable to fix my phone today and that they don’t have a “magical solution” and to come back during the weekend. Just a complete waist of my time and the workers just blatantly display that they are unwilling to work/help. Miserable staff with bad attitudes.

BJ L

Went on a Friday to get my wife's phone fixed. Had to make an appointment for three hours later with a Genius and then when that time came, had to wait another hour to have it fixed. Didn't get an explanation about what was wrong with it and the tech "Genius" deliberately avoided answering our questions. One week later the phone stopped working again with the same problem. This second time we went to King of Prussia and they swapped it with a new phone and saw us immediately when we got to the store. Two stars for long waits, an over abundance of unhelpful employees and poor repair job.

Scott Scarlotta Meinzer

I called to inquire about a repair and was rudely interrupted several times by an "Apple Genius Admin" who refused to allow me to finish my sentences. After being told that interrupting a customer is rude and unprofessional, she quickly put me on hold. When she returned, she completely misinformed me of the details of the repair and my machine. I know this because I spoke with two other stores in the area that said they had "no idea why she told me what she did". As for the store, it's clean but that's about the only redeeming quality about it. The staff is condescending and rude, and the service is obviously poor. I do not recommend this store.

Phil F

What a disgraceful store!!!! Everything was a problem. The people working there were not just a waist of time but rude and liars. I even saw one of the technicians throw one of the laptops after the other customer left. They acted like they were doing you a favor by helping you after buying a way over priced product. I don’t use apple anymore but my kids do. Not for much longer.

Quiana Jernigan

Customer Service should have been on point.

Keenya Walker

I had a wonderful experience...I don't say this lightly. I have procrastinated about upgrading my device...but Apple made it so easy. It's been 10 years. It was waaaaay over due. But sticking with Apple was not my 1st choice until I spoke with staff. 1st Ernest helped to narrow down and pin point the problem. He offered solutions but my device was too old. I then worked with Kyle who demonstrated the new apps and features. What's more he explained the long term benefits of the upgrade. Kyle assured me that I can always in a reasonable amount of time, change my mind. I ended up being so confident that I purchased a whole new device! I followed Kyle's instructions on how to back it up...it worked! Thank you Apple! Your support and extra attention gave me the courage to do stuff I have never done...and Kyle I hope Apple recognizes this "technique" and you should write it down and train other staff...good luck, kw...btw, I didn't feel pressured to buy....it was more like how can we help you get the most out of your device, even if you don't spend much.

Tony Watkins

The best place to go to any problem with ur phone Apple

Cindy Detweiler

I have a new I phone 10S problems with sinking my e mail addresses and password. I had the most patient young man Max, what a gem he was. Helped me, showed me, and taught me. This was great customer service, and I’m in the customer service business. Great job Apple for hiring the best.

Mahin Zaman

I make an appointment for replacement my earphone in week age. I come today before 11.am so I'm on right time. After that 20 minutes later, I aks another help on the floor. He tells me that he is not a technician.he said he is selling the phone. I said can u check how long I can wait? I ask for the manager too. When I aks that time someone to see me. My point is I make an appointment last 7 days age. They late in 26 minutes. Ultimately there is no point to make this type apportionment. Coz our time is important.

Jeffrey Rafsky

Responsive, hard working staff.

I went to the store at 10:30 and left at almost 4:00, more than 5 hours. My phone was completely dead, tried to charge but couldn’t. The technician help to find out what was wrong. The battery was ok, so he tried diferentes things and the battery Started to charge. But I lost a lot of my pictures and I can’t get my e-mails. So I will go back tomorrow and try again and get a new phone. I only hope that they can help me get all my photos and e-mails. The two girls that were helping me were very nice, but I had a problem getting into my Pin in my Sprint account. So yesterday I went to Sprint and changed my Pin and password.

Carl Bennett

Noisy and confusing; but eventually resolved my problem easily. Worth the hassel!

Jay Glass

Good customer service and scheduled hours for details. Apple is not my favorite product but this store does a better job then the actual product Performance ability.

Anthony Athy

After a long day of this and that, they tried to nail the customer satisfaction. They didn't pull it off perfectly, but... It is what it is. Now if only I can get my fingerprint scanner to work.

Tymier B

Attentive and helpful staff. They were able to get me in and out replacing my iPhone in less than 30 minutes.

Dr Jeffrey Weatherby

Great service at Apple. As always!

Sairan Jabateh

They were really chill and straight forward

Azi Jacobson

I went in to buy myself a new computer and in no less than 5 minutes I was out the door with it. The place was packed and they still found a way to get everyone help, unbelievable service.

Tymere Jones

I came in waited 10 minutes while two employees sat there and never asked me do I need help so I left and went to the apple store downtown Philadelphia.

Lamont Washington

Love this place, the people are friendly always helpful and informative BUT it is the hungry company Apple after all. My first visit I brought up an iPhone they said was never going to cut back on and had to buy a new one but it did a few hours later go figure. 2nd visit they fixed my 7 screen so there’re pretty good

Connor McCallen

Good Place, but Too many Apple fanboys.

Marc Baron

Walked in. The store appeared busy. Checked in with a very nice person. Told him I wanted to buy a new computer. Was sent over to a staging area to wait for sales representative. As you look around the store most of the people are wearing Apple shirts and are employees. Talking among themselves. Not actually helping customers. As I continue to stand and wait for sales representative. Five other people come into the store and are greeted and helped immediately, while I’m continuing to stand waiting for a salesman. When I asked to speak to a manager two separate floor personnel give me attitude about the fact that “we’re trying to get somebody to help you.” When i finally do speak to someone I’m not even sure it was a manager cause it was one of the people standing around on the floor the whole time watching me stand waiting for a “sales person.” As you look around the store everybody’s just standing around. Absolutely horrible customer service. Guess you don’t want my $3500.

Kenya McCullough

Was in and out. My appointment was at 4:20, I walked out of the store 4:10. I arrived at 3:45 in case they could take me early and I lucked up.

Jamie Dixon

My visit ended with a great associate but prior to that sales person I felt like the sales person may have thought I couldn't afford the products in there and encourage me to stick reasonable pricing the computer or laptops can be quite pricing. That's when I was directed to an associate that had time answer questions for a potential customer

Jeff McLeod

Jon helped me at the Genius Bar getting a replacement power adaptor (even though it was past warranty!) quick and friendly experience. I'm sure making an appointment helped.

Valentina

I’ve gotten some help from the staff here with some of my apple products, but some of the staff do not know the right solutions to some product problems. I went in to get my beats looked at becaus I was having problems getting them out of reset mode and the apple employee did not bother to look at them and just said I would have to pay $129 to send them in. When I asked if she could look at them she said no. I did not like the service so i proceed to see if I could get help from calling into support. They stayed with me on the phone for 2 hours to help me with my problem then when I told them I was told by an apply employee I had to pay $129 to send them in,they told me that that was incorrect and that a price is only given when they figure out at their service center what is wrong. It turns out I had to pay $0 to send them in.

Khoiman281 H.a

This is the worst Apple store I have ever gone to the customer service was terrible we had to wait 2 hours before we can see a technician about changing a phone battery next thing you know the technician told us that they would have to keep the phone overnight because they couldn't do the "10 minute battery swap" within the 20 minutes before closing..? Uh what??? Needless to say I will never be coming back to this Apple store location again

Michael Caprio

Armund Dezii

UPDATE: Jules and Darnee from the business support team are absolutely fantastic. The customer support given by them is 2nd to none and it makes paying premium pricing for Apple products even more justified. On a side note I would also like to thank Natalya for her fantastic service helping me pick my products up, she made the waiting process much less painless. Apple suburban square treats you like you are family when you go in there and I definitely recommend!

Tony Watkins

The best place to go to any problem with ur phone Apple

I have a new I phone 10S problems with sinking my e mail addresses and password. I had the most patient young man Max, what a gem he was. Helped me, showed me, and taught me. This was great customer service, and I’m in the customer service business. Great job Apple for hiring the best.

Very unhappy with service at Suburban Apple Store. I was there 3 weeks ago to swap out my i-phone 5 because of a button that would not depress. I was given another phone with more severe issues: the screen does not read my fingers when I tough it and when I talk on the phone the mute button is pressed. I made an appt for the same store today because of these issues. After driving there and finding a place to park they looked at my phone and said they have to swap it out, but they have no i-phones in stock and I would have to come in next week. Oddly, the sales reps were selling new i-phones to customers. I phoned a manager who offered no assistance but said I would have to make the drive in again to deal with this

Didn't read any reviews to prevent any bias. On one occasion it was a 3 hour wait that was pointless and I had to leave. Another time I got right in, and they handled it well. I think it's difficult to handle all the people, and in my opinion they do a satisfactory job here.

Marisa C

I wish I could give this store infinite negative stars. My first experience with them (even more horrible), is detailed on Yelp. I went in tonight to buy an armband and charger cable for my iPhone 7. I had researched these products earlier today on the Apple Store website, and it said they were available for pick up at this location within an hour. I think any normal person would assume that means they are in stock in the store....no retailer delivers to specific locations within one hour. When I arrived at the store, they were not busy, and at least 15 employees in bright green shirts were on the floor. As I walked through the store, not a single available employee said hello or asked if I needed help. I made my way to the accessories area, where another employee, who was not helping anyone, proceeded to ignore me for 5 minutes. She was clearly "very busy" scanning products that were already on the shelf, price marked and well stocked. I finally asked her a question or two and she made me feel as though I was bothering her. It turns out that this location does not even sell armbands, which is odd since the website said they would be available for pickup within the hour. I mentioned this to her and she said nothing. The level of arrogance from the employees in the store is absurd. I don't know why they act as though they are above their customers (maybe it's a pre-req to get a job here, HA), but as an employee in ANY service/retail industry, it is your job to assist your customers... especially when they are paying top dollar for products. This store and its employees need a serious attitude makeover. I will not attempt to shop here again, which is a huge inconvenience as an iPhone owner and resident of Ardmore.

Azade Seyhan

The Ardmore Apple Store is the tops and will ensure that I'll never replace my Mac laptops or my iPhone with another brand. I've read some negative reviews about difficulty with making online appointments at the Genius Bar and some unprofessional service. Most employees are helpful, but like at any other place, one can encounter less friendly or competent staff. Although it took a bit of navigating on their web site to make an appointment at the Genius Bar, I was able to immediately get an appointment slot. When I went to the store yesterday, on June 3, it was quite crowded, and I could not even poke my head through the people around the Genius Bar to announce myself. However, another employee, John, saw me and helped me out at another desk in the store. He was friendly and very competent, and I was in and out of the store in half an hour. I remain an enthusiastic Mac fan, as I'll never need to go far for Apple's excellent products and great service.

Ava Lee

My had a cancelled online order with Apple (AT&T’s next phone plan), the cancelled order stopped me from reordering a new phone. The problem is on AT&T’s end cause the order was still in pending status at AT&T. After 2 hours customer service and 2 hours store visit at AT&T, they could not figure out what went wrong. So i went to the Apple store nearby asking for help. Although the problem is AT&T’s, the stuff at the Apple store tried their best to help me. I can feel that they care about customer’s issues and trying their best to help. If you are planning to finance your new phone, go for apple’s upgrade plan!

Theresa

(Ladies please read) So I took my iPhone to this store today. I was having issues with hearing phone calls unless it was through my blue tooth headphones. I was told by the Apple employee that checked me in that my phone would most likely just have to be replaced because he is also a tech and has seen this issue before. So I'm thinking that's easy enough since it's a free swap. Then my assigned Apple tech begins to help me and ends up taking my unlocked phone to the back to "test the speaker", he then comes out a few minutes later and asks me for my password so he can get back into my phone. I have to take my phone from him so that I can type my own pw in because he does not need to know it and when I unlock my phone my photo album is open on the screen with pictures of me in a bikini from back in May of this year. So not only was the photo app open it was scrolled up to May. I looked up at the apple employee and he made face like he got caught. I said to him you are lucky my boyfriend isn't here and didn't see that. He didn't say anything... I was pissed and felt pretty uncomfortable and very violated. I was contemplating confronting him or going right to a manager, but after I got my new phone I did leave the store and called my boyfriend and asked him for his advice. He was going to come and handle it himself, but I said no and went back in to speak with a manager. After speaking with the manger he did say that the employees are not to take unlocked phones away from customers and that it was odd that he said he was going to test the speaker. He apologized and was very kind and said he was going to speak with the employee and take it from there. LADIES/ GIRLS even men, please be careful when you go to any Apple store. They may be looking at your photos in the back, possibly sending them to themselves or even stealing any other private information. Do not let them take your unlocked phone out of your sight! I know it's hard to know what happens when you give a stranger access to your phone, but this is just a warning.

Christine Hanson

Great customer service! Alison was very efficient and not only did I get my appt time but she came to find me earlier. Super nice. Fixed my phone in less than 40 mins... needed a new battery! Very pleasant place and will come back to the Apple store in Ardmore.

hello there

This store deserves a ZERO STAR. I have never in all my years felt so degraded in my life. The staff REFUSED to attend to me. Although I signed in, they skipped over me and attended to customers who came well AFTER me. One female staff finished with a customer, knowing that I was next, stared at me straight in my eyes and continued to ignore me by texting on her phone. I was clearly discriminated against in this store. I was approach, an hour later, by an African American male who tried to get another associate to help me as he was busy with a customer but to no avail. Once he finished with his customer he did help me and was very friendly and kind.

George Gjergo

Well first things first I sat at the store for about 4 hours for my phone to be repaired and after all the wait and the switching to a new phone I had the same exact problem still. The I geeks were helpful and were good at their job but the manager on duty was completely rude and did nothing for me what's so ever. I am now stuck with a broken phone that they gave me and the manager said there is nothing she can do. I will never step foot in this store again and I'm going to make sure to let everyone that asks know not to deal with them ever.

The staff, the store and location is great. Apple product sucks. Apple sells old outdated technology that you can't update to get you in to up sell you more outdated apple product.

Fabulous service from Amr today at the Ardmore Store. I brought in a refurbed Iphone6 that I bought on Ebay, and he helped me upload current software and transfer everything from my old iphone6. Wonderful patience with this old geezer. At no cost to me.

matt clark

Horrible service.. Went in to the store just to be put on the phone with tech support.. Talked to tech support for 50 minutes just to be hung up on .. I will never buy another apple product in my life so i never have to deal with this horrible company ever again

Beth Johnson

I have generally had good customer service at the Apple store in Suburban square. Some representatives are better than others but most are knowledgeable and nice and ready to help you.

Abdullah Almalki

I have been here about 10 times so far and have not been annoyed with anything. Staff has always been helpful, given knowledgable and honest answers in most cases when I have had questions. Parking is a little difficult at times. I will definitely be back in the future, and I must say my experience at this location has been perfect!

Alan Fink

You guys are the best. Thanks for helping us out of a jam by allowing us to return unused gift cards that we accidentally purchased under false pretenses

Kara Mshinda

My husband visited this Apple Store site today to buy a new iPhone. Service was HORRIBLE. After he paid for the phone, he received no assistance with helping set up his phone. "We don't set up phones," was the response he received from a worker. Another worker said "I'm about to go home." Another said, "you should have come during the week." My husband works 12 hour days during the week. WTH? In his words, "they left me out to dry!" Once home, he attempted to set up the phone himself. Calling the help line is out of the question because their service is equally appalling. What a complete hassle! Reasons why I have a Samsung Galaxy Note...

John Appleby

This store has really improved in recent years, it used to be quite average. We took our phone in to get repaired and they had it done quickly, and with no fuss. In particular I'm a fan of the manager, Matt, he has helped me with some gnarly issues.

David Moskowitz

Walked in with a problem iPhone hoping for a genius bar walk-in before the official appointment... Yeah. Friendly staff, very helpful. Service took much less time than expected.

DTExecutive Tran

Helpful staff, good classes...

If your going to get your battery replaced make sure you have a whole day to waste....expect to wait 2 hours..

attila bodi

I bought a mac book pro. It came with a defective charger. I tried exchanging it. I was made to wait - doing an exchange at the mac store is something they consider complicated. After 2 hrs of waiting at "genius" bar to have a "genius" do a "test" (plugging it in to see that it was dead) I left. After cooling down. I came back next week and spoke with a manger, lucky for me and them, she found me. The staff was supper hesitant to help. They had lots of random reasons why I need to wait. The manger had a guy "just do it". Took 1 minute. A lot of employees seem to stand around doing nothing but telling people to wait for random reasons unless ya want to buy something.

UPDATE: Just read some other reviews and looks like I'm not alone in waiting for the store to schedule an appointment, or sticking to their schedule. I would avoid this store and go to KofP store or Walnut St in CC, or call Apple directly and see if they can resolve (they were able to help me directly). Called Apple regarding a battery replacement. I was told they would have a replacement battery shipped to the store within 14 days and the repair would take @ an 1 hour if I make an appointment. Showed up for my appointment and was told they didn't have me in "the system". I told them I just made it the day before and showed them the phone number I called, which they confirmed is their repair scheduling #. Someone went to the back of the store to check and returned to say that my battery was in the back, however I wasn't "in the system because its listed as an in-store repair". I was asked to go to the back corner of the store and someone would be able to help me. After waiting about 15 minutes (and watching 2 others who walked up AFTER me have their names called) I asked someone if I my name was on the "list" and was told no. Same scenario as when I entered the store repeats, but now I'm told since I didn't have an appointment it would take 3 hours. No other resolution was offered or any attempt to expedite. It was even implied that I never made an appointment. I called Apple to file a complaint. They put me on hold to contact the store. After a 10 minute wait I was told they still weren't able to get the manager so I requested they have the Manager call me. I also called the 'repair number' and left another message. Neither have called back.

Apple has changed the screens needed to make a Genius Bar reservation. Clearly this is a step toward terrible customer service. I tried three times to make a reservation at the Genius Bar and could not get to a page where reservations are taken. So much for Apple being a customer friendly company or having products that are intuitive to use. Is the Genius Bar going away? If so, my next phone is not from Apple.

michele morroni

Was serviced on time and received a replacement phone after over two years of use. Genius was courteous and helpful

Kiara Robinson

The service sucks. Why do people need to wait to exchange headphones for almost an hour? I had to. Then to not pull up the receipt for my phone for the registered earphones to replace is simply lazy. You’ve could have done it because it was done before. Why suddenly say you can’t when you could before? Stop waiting around talking in a huddle to other coworkers being very slow to do work. Ridiculous. Don’t you realize people notice you’re being lazy?

Matt B

Very disappointed in the level of customer service and the extent to which Apple will stand behind their product. Shifting all blame and product defect risk to the consumer is not a viable long-term strategy.

Patricia Van Albert

I have always been helped with all of my Apple devices. And all of the technicians have been Courteous and explained the problem and corrected it. My only problem is the long wait to get help.

Donte Carter

The staff was extremely courteous and help.... Way more than I expected. Thank you.

Don't expect the typical Apple experience with a peaceful store and helpful sales people. Instead parents use it as a sort of daycare facility while shopping. I stopped by to try an iPad and Pencil. Someone had plopped the child belly down on top of the table for the iPads and left them there playing with the iPad. A few minutes after I arrived a couple left their two boys playing racing games on the demo iPads and screaming at each other about their respective games. No one asked them to be respectful of the public space or their fellow humans around them... After about 20 minutes I hadn't received any help, maybe I didn't appear to need any, so I left.

Very friendly staff, the sales people are good at determining wixh product is right for you, and the support or "genius bar" people are very smart.

I had an appointment at 3:00 to replace a broken iPhone 8plus. I arrived at 2:45. I was told that I was early and someone would meet with me at 3:00. There were several employees standing around looking at me and finally right at 3:00 one came over to me. After getting everything verified it’s now 15 minutes later, I’m told I have to go to another store because they don’t have the exact phone and color in stock. I asked for a manager which took another 15 minutes. He comes and tells me the same thing insisting that they could not provide me with the phone in another color even if it is an inconvenience. Now I have to go spend more time going through this same process at another store and some on a Sunday afternoon. I don’t like when a company doesn’t care about customer convienence. Coming to the Apple Store is always a project.

I tripped on a banana peel and was oddly disturbed, The worker John laughed, and I was very disappointed in his childish behavior. Please address this to him. He is a white male that is about 5’11, and has brown hair. Thank you again bye.

Always awesome service and quick .

I hate you **** just kidding your apple store is so great and you employees are very nice. It is also at a very convenient location for me and my friends to go and check out the new phones

Mike Mckenzie

Great service and friendly atmosphere..my kids love it and I often have to pull them out of the store unwillingly...

The service is poor and the attitude is average. The action is very slow.

Leasa Jones

Long wait but satisfied with results.

Michael Mcfarland

Katherine Kinder

Me and my youngest was here friday he ordered a new phone. Got waited on as soon as we walked in the door. Waited for her to get his order, and bring it to us.

Thank you.

This is a smaller Apple Store Genius Bar appointments are limited. Parking is difficult in this area and the traffic is usually abominable. Christiana Mall Apple store is only 20 miles away, it is a larger store with better parking. Plus because its located in Delaware there is no tax. If you are making a major purchase the sales tax savings will easily pay for your gas. In conclusion you are going to spend a lot of time trying to park for limited service in a very small apple store there are better options in the area.

It is frustrating to call the store and have to deal with an automated voice recording that tells you that it's going to connect you with someone who can help and then transfers you to a busy signal. It is maddening to have that precise sequence of events transpire over and over again when you're simply trying to verify one piece of information before risking a long drive to the store and possibly be disappointed. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. Situation. went to store on a tuesday afternoon, 7/16, employee at door stops us and needs to see our phone (why? I don't know) before we're allowed to enter. Weird but wanted to qualify why we were there - not being helpful and welcoming but a 'why are you here, incredulous vibe' as didn't have an appointment. It's a glorified electronics store not a doctors' office. Ok, then the issue we're there with is a Iphone Gen 3 (14 months old) that broke 6 months ago but we're getting to store now as it wasnt' important enough for us to get there to discuss. We're told it's $350 to just look at it and we should buy a new watch. I'm not looking for handouts. We own 4 Iphone xr, 10s, just bought a 1700 mac book air last week, dozens of apple accessories, we get it, they break, we fix them. But to be treated so disrespectfully and to be told to just buy a new watch is incredibly rude and the customer experience and service AT THIS STORE was beyond ridiculous. We go to Christiana and KoP but thought to stop by this store as we were in the area. NEVER AGAIN. APPLE needs to do some mystery shopper work here and retrain or replace their staff. TBH if they'd said hey your apple watch is shot, here's why. You didn't buy the insurance but we understand and here's your options, we'd of done one of them but the attitude and lack of understanding was beyond anything we thought anyone would demonstrate is telling of the culture there, again not all apple stores, just this one

The staff are warm and welcoming. I went on a Saturday afternoon and was in and out. The store was steady and not overly crowded. This is a small store location located in Ardmore. It’s not as busy at the King of Prussia location which is a lot bigger. If you live, work, or go to one of the universities near this location, I highly recommend it.

First time being in Apple store. Did all the right things so this helped my experience. Looked it up on google maps, discovered Free valet parking, Scheduled appointment ahead of visit, Phone still within warranty. Great Staff, unusual for such a young staff. Great sales guy named Paris is knowledgeable.

Nicolas Troyano

Our hard drive failed which freaked us out, but John Jay at Suburban Square was excellent. His calm, responsive, and confident approach made us feel completely at ease. He took his time with us until he figured out the problem--we had a "vintage" (2007) iMac, so John Jay directed us to Micro Center just down the road and told us the best hard drive to purchase & get replaced. He then asked us to come to Apple once that work was done to retinstall everything from our Lacie back up (thank goodness we had that!). Micro Center also did a great job installing the new hard drive in just a few hours. When we returned to Apple, we worked with Joshua, who was equally as excellent to work with. He took his time with us, explained everything thoroughly, and put us at ease while helping to get our iMac up and working again. I believe there was a man named Dave? who was also helpful during this process. Our experience at this Apple Store was pure excellence, and bravo to the gentlemen who were so good to us--thank you!!

Friendly staff. So friendly that they neglected to tell me the repair that I waited a month to get an appointment for (another disaster in itself-the store was supposed to call when battery was in but didn’t), and than waited 2 hours in the store to be “completed”, had been declined and they didn’t actually do anything. Instead they handed my phone back, said it was all set and sent me on my way. Once I drove the 45 minutes back home, I had to call and go through the phone system nightmare to find out they had in fact done nothing and had nothing more to say to me other than “I don’t know why no one told you that”.

Worst service ever! We were waiting for more than 15 min even asking for help and while a lot of attendants were talking to each other in the back end of the store.

Tara Hawks

Cody Geel

The service technicians were not helpful at all. The employees tried to play dumb bc they didn't wanna do the actual work needed. Will never go to this apple location again.

great apple store great helpful staff

The worst, most incompetent unhelpful employees and a horrible experience. The biggest waste of time and money!!! Replaced my phone battery, broke my phone. Replaced my screen to try and remediate the issue, broke my phone. Replaced my phone, CRITICAL apps are not on the phone. This place will rob you blind and then make it feel like it’s your fault. Do not give them your service.

Kevin German

Enough stores for your needs. Avoid it right now because of construction.

I had my battery replaced at a third party and was having problems with my phone. I went to get my phone checked and the rep was polite and respectful in the beginning. After he came back after checking my phone. He became very rude. Saying that the phone is hazarious. Which i can understand. But he just walked away from me to the otherside of the building... i was ready to buy a new phone and He didnt even wanted to sell me a phone.

Alex Danovitch

Friendly staff. So friendly that they neglected to tell me the repair that I waited a month to get an appointment for (another disaster in itself-the store was supposed to call when battery was in but didn’t), and than waited 2 hours in the store to be “completed”, had been declined and they didn’t actually do anything. Instead they handed my phone back, said it was all set and sent me on my way. Once I drove the 45 minutes back home, I had to call and go through the phone system nightmare to find out they had in fact done nothing and had nothing more to say to me other than “I don’t know why no one told you that”.

Trina Sanders

Went in to purchase a mouse and was not able to get anyone's attention to make my purchase because they were all more concerned with conversing amongst themselves. Absolute horrible customer service.

Timothy Bensch

Great service and selection. Parking is a bit challenging because of construction.

Service sucks here. Be prepared to wait

Willie Knight

Always a pleasant fun experience. The store is always busy, but busy in a good comfortable way. Its a great place to just take your time and play around with great products. The service is great as well.
