REVIEWS OF Apple Washington Square IN Oregon

Carolyn Strong

Went in to purchase AppleCare for my new Watch I purchased through Verizon. I didn’t immediately find someone to help but while looking at Watch bands, Lindsey came up to me and offered her help. She quickly got me set up with AppleCare and helped me look for a right sized wrist band. She was very helpful, getting me a gift receipt in case my niece would rather pick out a different style. Lindsey was pleasant, helpful and made sure all my questions were answered.

TERRIBLE. That is all I have to say. If I could write anything less than a one star review I most definitely would. My iPhone 5 SE was stuck in some kind of boot loop so I went to this apple store to try and speak with a specialist to see if there was something they could do to fix it. When i went there the first time of course there was a long line to speak to a specialist and knowing my luck I came at the most busiest time of the day. To avoid the stress of waiting some two hours to speak to someone I just decided to come back the following day early in the morning. I arrived at the apple store at approximately 10:15 and when I went to set up an appointment it was said to be about a 30 minute wait. That was totally fine considering that I would have waited for two hours the day before. When i got the text message from them saying they would be ready to help me it was about 10:50 when I got there. I WAS WAITING AN ENTIRE 45 MINUTES JUST TO SPEAK TO A SPECIALIST! I was so aggravated to see all the other customers being helped except me even after I came so early to set up an appointment. I was so outraged that i talked to one of the employees who was not doing anything and told him that I have been waiting over 45 minutes to speak to someone and i still hadn't been attended to. within about 10 minutes someone came to help. At that time it was already 11:40. After waiting so long to speak to a person who could finally help me, I was shocked to see that he was helping his other coworker while he was helping me at the same time! He was diverting most of his attention to his coworker instead of helping me with my issue. Talk about being completely unprofessional! The person who helped me didn't seem to know very much about what was going on with my phone and just had me waiting and waiting for an update to install on their computer (which should have already been updated to begin with before they even opened the store) in order to restart my phone through the iTunes store. After everything was all said and done not much to my surprise THEY DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE OF MY PHONE but instead offered me a %50 discount on the phone I already had for waiting so long and it couldn't be used on any other phone too. How unbelievable is that. So after this whole fiasco of waiting and the unprofessional-ism I had experienced I will never be coming back to this apple store ever again. I WAS THERE FOR AN ENTIRE THREE HOURS! completely amateur, unprofessional, poor customer service and outrageous wait times.

Horrible customer service! I went in to get a battery replacement only to have about 10 employees standing around doing nothing tell me they couldn’t help me today because all of their specialists were booked for the day. I go to the “Scheduling” guy who offered me walk-in times or further out appointments for this weekend but told me after I asked that if I were to walk in I might not be helped again. This store needs to run some metrics on the needs of their customer base. Isn’t this APPLE?? Every single time I go into this store they can’t help me.

Lam Nguyen

Busy most of the time but technicians are helpful and able to help all customer's needs on Apple products

Tyler Shannon

If you hate car salesmen dont come here because the salesman here act the same dont allow you to look before trying to sell you the whole store

Jeffrey Mackay

Purchased a hardshell computer case cover from this location when I purchased my MacBook from them. Case has already started to crack and break with basic normal use. Tried asking what their return or exchange policy was on the case and was basically told it wasn't their problem and to contact the company who made it.... Not the service or experience I was expecting from Apple. If you sell a product, I would expect you to help with the exchange of a faulty product. Will definitely think twice before ever returning again.

We like this mall better than Whitfield, Clackamas, or Lloyd Center it's clean, good parking, and easy freeway access

I was there at least three times last year, because the Apple store close to my house....The first time there , my friend bought IPhone X , over $1000 dollars, they give the iPhone without the carry bag, I asked for the bag, they told me they didn’t have any bag,,,,,,Apple store, didn’t have a bag for purchase over $ 1000.00 ? The second time, I came with friend to buy iPad Pro 10.5 , this time I asked for the bag before I purchased, I told them what was terrible of their service, they all seem didn’t care.....The third time , I came in to buy IPhone 8 Plus, I asked for help, they told me wait, I stand there for than 15 minutes, no service, 3 of staffs standing around chitchat, I finally ran out of patient, and came to them , let them know I was upset with this kind of service,,,,,I post this comment for hopping their manager, all staffs of Apple store in Washington beware of their behavior.....really bad for business..

Kip Ching

Just window shopped. Huge store, helpful staff. Kinda overwhelming.

First off, I have never had a problem with an apple employee before, I love apple. But today when I went into the apple store at the Washington square mall with my niece to buy some AirPods the nice man at the headphone area showed me to a table that they were selling the AirPods at and told me exactly where to stand he also brought another guy over to wait for AirPods as well, while in line an apple lady helped him first even though he was last in line, but that’s fine because I should be next, when it came my turn the lady in a red shirt with really short hair, kind of older looking ( I didn’t get her name) asked me if I was in line for long, to which I said yes, the. Asked me if I had been in line along the wall, and I said no, I was standing where the other guy told me to, and she stated really loudly that I had cut everyone and I needed to get to the back of the line, me and my niece were so shocked and embarrassed we went to the back of the line to wait, I would have left but I saw there was someone else helping people. If I didn’t have the guy check me out at the beginning I would have left without getting my AirPods. I only own apple products ( iPhone, iPod, iPad, and Mac book air) so it sucks that now I feel embarrassed and shamed at one of my favorite stores, I will probably not go back to the store after this. Rather disappointing.

I bought the iPhone X - it keeps dropping calls...too many times. I went back to the store, they told me there was nothing wrong with it. Then they did sent me the Verizon store to change the SIM card; nothing improved, the same problems. I went back to store again, I asked for a replacement phone but instead, he wiped my phone clean - factory reset - but didn't bother to back it up first. I lost all my contacts, text messages, Photos. I own a business and this effected my ability to communicate. The guy didn't seem to be concerned with what he did, just about profit. Their customer service has gone down - extremely bad bad now! I am iPhone user for the last 10 years I have over 10 devices. I spend a lot of money at the Apple Store. I’m so disappointed and frustrated. The way they handled the problem only caused more problems. The phone is still dropping calls. He asked me to call Apple store to see if I can get replacement. I spent hours of my time waiting for appointment in customer service with Apple. iPhone X is horrible and waste of money, time and stress.

I have came to this store a couple times in the past, but this time was by the far the best experience I've ever had at a apple store! Peter Nguyen helped me at first, but I had messed up on my apple credit card application! He was off in five minutes, and I had to make a phone call, so the second person that helped me was David Hinds! David was outstanding, and I will recommend him to everyone of my coworkers!! Truly one of the best apple employees I've ever had! If he is not in leadership I would promote him!

E. Wright

I have a hard time with Apple stores. I always feel like there are not enough people working to accommodate the customers. But the day my dad died I came in because my phone had been dropped and was no longer working. They were so gracious. They got me through the store and out the door with a new phone in no time. I'll always be grateful.

chris meredith

Great staff

Samuel Vered

I had a genius bar appointment and they we exactly on time. Polite staff and they've completely resolved my issue.

Adrian Salinas

Horrible service, inattentive staff

Laura Elliott

Busy on weekends, but extremely courteous and helpful. Hands-on viewing. Many staff members available. Helpful advice and problem solving. Nice, roomy store to navigate. Good lighting. Great selection of electronics, to meet all your computer, phone, iPad,...needs. Huge selection of accessories. Good parking, covered or open space.

Kumar Sudheen M

The sales executive didn’t e mail my purchase receipt.

Harisha G K

I spent not more than 10 mins. I came out with Apple X. So systematic and organised.

semi shin

I was trying to get my laptop fixed and they found liquid damage. Ok, but when I brought it in last time right after the spill they said there was no sign of liquid entering my laptop and now they denied the service so I called apple care and they gave me cs code (a code that waves all fees). Then this store denies the cs code. Just found out through apple care they denied the cs code that’s coming from apple. There is a ego game here of who is right and wrong. Even if apple company tells them to fix my computer at no cost!

Information-- Assistance League SK

Technician incorrectly backed up my data to icloud causing all of my photos and notes to be permanently deleted and unable to be retrieved. Technician was very nice and professional but perhaps trying to do too many things with too many customers at the same time caused this error. I am disappointed with the quality of the service.

mary unger

The staff is helpful. Their products are defective. Three different iPhones and everyone has had a manufacturing defect that apple knew about but won't back their product.

Simon Merrin

Great store in a huge upscale mall. Lots to wander around for.

alex ayala

Dave helped me today. I traded my wife’s old phone in, and purchased her an iPad mini. Dave was courteous, and made the process painless. I appreciate it

Rick Elliott Jr

Wait times at this location can be pretty long, but considering it's the only store in the area other than Downtown Portland, it could be a lot worse. Have been in there to both purchase a phone, and have an iPhone serviced, and both were simple processes that didn't take a long amount of time in the end.

G Loc

Don't ever go here buyers beware the workers there are nice there smiling but they hide behind false faces because I lost eight hundred something dollars over at Apple and then try to indicate that the person who provide me a service never receive money from me so they said it was a lost cause right now I'm pursuing legal action

David Cameron

I bothered to make an appointment and still took 40 mins to be told that they didn't have the battery and to come back in about a week (when they call). This was annoying but my real issue is with the lack of helpfulness in the staff. If you have an appointment it's really hard to know where to go or who to talk to. I got all the way to the front of the store and stood next to two red-shirted staff. I was waiting for their conversation to lull so that I could ask who to check in with. Then before I could say anything, they just walked off. When I found another staff member (Jeremy) that seemed to be checking customers in, he performed the lowest level of customer service and herded me over to a seat in the waiting area. I was really put off by the feeling that I was an annoyance. Then three other staff members came by to put me through the paces with the last one informing me that they didn't have the battery in stock. I know this might happen but that's 40 mins and when I go back it'll be another 40 (probably). They were busy and I'm sure this battery swap thing is a pain but I will not come back to this location.

Eyal Gil ad

We saw the new ipad. Liked it very much.

J T

Made an appointment for 1:50. I checked in at 1:40 and sat down to wait. 25 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start I checked in again and they told me they had accidentally cancelled my appointment instead of checking me in. Told me to sit down and wait again... another 10 minutes later people who arrived after me are still getting helped before me. Made a third trip to the checkin employee where he finally highlighted me to go next. Wasted more than 40 minutes here waiting for no service. Ridiculous.

Valerie Watts

Lots of stores to choose from

Mohammad Moussaoui

One of the worst Apple stores I've been to. Horrible customer service from the management down the employees. Their system went down and the workers have no experience working under pressure. They started to panic and were yelling at customers and being very rude. Not a single apologies. If the apply network goes down than the store and it's employees should be responsible for representing the brand. As a customer you shouldnt get yelled at when you have nothing got to do with performance of the store. The only workers that were nice were the ones that were covering from the Downtown store. That makes me believe that the problem is with the management and their lack of training.

Suzzy 2Zs

they fixed my ipad which holds my whole freaking life! love those geniuses. on the downside they couldn't fix my sister's, so maybe only part genius...

Carlee Gehrke

These people have no respect for your time. It is not ok. When they make an appointment with you they keep you waiting and additional hour or longer after that.

Luuk Pessers

Employees are somewhat friendly and repair service is really good. You just need to have a few spare hours to get the opportunity to actually talk to an employee about the repair.

moaazalratta .

The upgrade is the BIGGEST SCAM! After I spent $129 on what called Apple care last year, so I can upgrade to the new iPhone whenever it released! But they just took my iPhone 7 for $325 only and started me with another payment plan for the new iPhone for $1348(that includes $199 Apple care, so they can SCAM you again next year)!! And simply they just changed the creditor this year from Barclaycard to Citizen one! But you we’ll be paying two payments Every freaking month for both phones !!!! Isn’t that RIDICULOUS..guys you got to be smart and stop buying Apple products.

Ellen j. Adams

Got the help I needed, but it took forever and person helping me wandered off halfway through and I had to find someone else to help. Was NOT impressed.

Luis smith

So nice

Lewis Zimmerman

There's no need to re wash the other reviews. Get ready for a long wait for uncertain service. You are better off just ordering online.

Brad Jackson

Apple needs to have a better way of managing the queue of people needing help. They put your name on a list and make you wait around where they find you eventually. No way of knowing the queue length and anticipated wait. This should be a very simple problem to fix considering their tech-giant status. Walking away frustrated (again).

Miki Demeter

Always friendly staff. Waits can sometimes be long but it's usually worth it.

Tom Knapp

It's exactly what you'd expect from an Apple store.

Michael Mann

Not a reflection on this store in particular but of my Apple products overall. Air Pods- The battery life is bad! They say 6-7 hours if you're just listening to music but I primarily use them for talk with work, which nets me about 3 hours. On top of it you have to charge the case as well. My case battery is horrid too! In comparison, I use to use the Dre beats for talk which would easily last me an entire day. Problem was the speaker wasn't the best so clients would have trouble understanding me. I'm hesitant to purchase the new ones if the battery life isn't significantly improved.

Brooklynn Z

Went in looking to get a new iphone it was like 6:30 and they closed at 7. (The store was still very crowded though.) After the employee told me about all the sweet things the iphone X could do and showed me cool apps that come with it or ones you can download and really getting me pumped on getting the iphone X. He tells me that they're about to close and I'd have to come back tomorrow morning.

Caleb Bennett

I can't remember the name of the guy that helped me but I didn't want that to stop me from leaving a review. He had a long beard and glasses and was the bomb. As long as you schedule an appointment to see someone on the Genius Bar, everything usually goes very smooth. In this case, I had a mix of software and hardware issues and it was all able to be resolved with the help of this guy. He showed me everything he was doing and was very professional. Bottom line is, the bearded guy with glasses (you can't miss him) is the bomb.

K K

Online order pickup is weird as you're kinda left just loitering in the middle of the store. Otherwise they're fast and friendly.

Olehile Setilo

Staff is very friendly and they pay attention to details; patient and always willing to provide service

Vinay Gupta

Helpful staff. Have been always coming here for my Apple needs.

Rudy Mendoza

I love you Apple and Nike

sandy kolls

Knowledgeable but the wait is very very long even if you show up a half an hour.

Aaron Kravitz

The "Genius Bar" Has gone horrifically downhill. I remember the days of units being swapped out, no questions asked. But I couldn't even get the staff to authorize a Macbook keyboard replacement, supposedly covered under an Apple program. Extremely disappointed with Apple. Thanks to this experience I'm finally moving back to windows after 12 years (remember those 2006 intel macbook pros? man those were great.)

Brian Mattingly

Very busy but still staffed enough to talk to every customer. Was leaving for out of the country the next day and they still managed to get me a new phone since it was bent and the touchscreen didn't register anymore. James was very helpful after the phone I received from Kevin started glitching. They immediately made sure I was satisfied before I left the store. Much appreciated guys!

C Guido

My sister set up an appointment to get her phone fixed. They said they would hold her part that needed replaced for 5 days, the appointment was before this even came close to ending. So she went in had to drive a ways in. And they gave her part away. No phone call email or anything. They even sent a reminder email the day of her appointment. We were both so mad. I told her lets go see if the Bridgeport one had the part. It was a wait because we didnt have an appointment but we got the part and got her phone fixed the workers they were shocked that the other store gave away her part as well.

Maya Setton

Brought my phone in for draining battery. Battery was dead at the time. They ran their "diagnostic tool" which came back and said the phone was "unfixable". Tried to sell me a $450 phone, offered to recycle my current phone. Went on Amazon, bought $17 battery replacement kit. Phone works.

Rafael Astorga

I hate giving bad reviews because, it's really no fun.. I rather share great experiences so others discover new things and merchants who care about their customers and the products they provide. Plus I think I have a bit of Mississippi rant dog in me so I try to avoid them, but Apple's trend of under appreciation needs to be called out. My shopping experience at the Apple store in Washington Square gets worse every year. Mind you in 2018 I visited and purchased at Apple stores in Madrid, Paris, Orlando, Bridgeport Village and Downtown Portland and while their system is ridiculous somehow these stores pull off the basic commerce premise of money in exchange for goods. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to the shopping process at Apple stores in general, and all basic retail dogma has been thrown out the window and don’t dare ask any of their employees for guidance to their nonsense shopping process, they're jus as baffled. But specifically at the Washington Square store they act like you’re putting them out of their way if you ask a simple question like, where do i pay? or where’s the earphones. Their response is always terse and short regardless of how friendly one comes across or how much you smile during your query. Something as simple as purchasing an Apple watch turned into a 1½ hr quasi-hostage ordeal standing by a table with nothing to do and unable to go anywhere else to kill time, ridiculous. I’ve shopped at B+H Photo in NYC, arguably the gold standard of uncomfortable poor customer experience, and got relatively prompt service and sound product knowledge, no gimmicks just give me the money here's your gismo see ya! Literally a week later I purchased another Apple Watch at the downtown store and it took no less than 10 minutes, like it should. I don't blame the individual employees, Apple has so little regard for its customers and their experience while at the store, their system seems designed to give the appearance that they're very busy, they want the chaos associated with non existent signage, poor communication and subpar personnel training so from outside the store it looks as if they're very busy with lots of people inside the store - yeah lots of people waiting, bored to death, to be helped purchase the one item or make some warranty claim or just ask a simple question about their iTunes account. It's all an illusion so we think demand for their products is unprecedented. Making an appointment means nothing you still have to wait at least 45 minutes to have someone to assist you, whom regardless of their good intentions never manages to really know much about a simple solution, but all about selling you the next version of your year old device. Incredible that in this age we're letting a company treat us with such disrespect and little regard for our hard earn money. If you must buy an Apple product buy it online and don't make the mistake of having it delivered to the store, in which case suit up for being ignored, mislead and made to wait for minimum 30 minutes while every employee acts like they've never heard of an in-store pick up.

Matt C

It was a great store, very busy on the day I visited and I found it hard to get assistance.

saurabh jain

Just like any other Apple store. Great experience with buying products.

Amy Moon

I was on the fence between purchasing Samsung galaxy or iPhone xs. I decided due to having so many apple products and FaceTime to stick through apple once more. Before data transfer, the staff didn’t seem to think that backing up was a big deal—as he commented that he never seen it go wrong—so I decided to just get it done. Well my old phone crash, and I lost the data for last two months...including pictures and video of my child between age 2-4 months. Staff seemed to care mostly about their pay, benefits, following set rules than genuinely helping people. I must have had 8 people jump in and out to help while I was wringing my hands with frustration and sadness. One guy commented that he got stuck and was sucked in.... I heard another staff chatting about the great benefit package instead of helping customers. They did call to check up on me after I left a review (I think it’s a corporate policy rather than caring about the customers). The call didn't help either. I thought maybe they will offer discount on future product as a gesture—but it felt more like “hey get iCloud and give us more money” sales pitch that went on for 30 min. Next time, I’m getting Samsung phones. 2 stars instead of 1 because couple staff actually did seem sorry....

Heather Jane

Serious respect to all who work in the Apple mall locations.

Jazlin Gomez

what you guys make invisible airpods ( credits to my friend sherlyn )

Jason Fenwrick

Long long waits and no appointments available for several days out. Need more stores.

Tonya Finnstrom

It's a good place to go.

Syed Mujibur Rahman

Apple companies all products available here

Lisa Terry

I went into the Washington Square Apple Store and stood for 30 mins and made eye contact with several employees and never was approached. They need to stafff the store with more people and provide adequate coverage at each station and/or at least acknowledge someone that has been standing waiting for help. I will be taking my business else where. Very dissatisfied with the lack of service.

Hayden Paul

Love appie every appie product s

Katie Losey

10/10 for Mari she was awesome and helped me with everything I needed! The other two workers in there were very nice and helpful as well!

Jackie Henning

Very helpful staff. We ended up buying online but loved our in store experience.

Kool Tai

Not bad

Rodney Bowerman

Zack helped us and was amazing. Patient and knowledgeable in helping us.

Bill S

Staff: Friendly - 5 stars / Skill - varies, 3 to 5 stars. It may be difficult to get in a cue for service. On 4/6/19 they were taking names but employees were waiting on anyone that approached them. Once you get a sales person they seem to remain yours until you're done. They get the five stars as individuals because they really try to provide great service even in a difficult environment. Inventory: 4 to 5 stars. Store environment: 2 stars. If the store was more habitable the overall rating would be greater than 3 stars. This store's lighting is too bright! Wear a brimmed hat. This store is loud even when not busy. All surfaces are hard, flat, and parallel to each other. Customers and employees have to yell to communicate at 3' apart. Load a decibel app in your phone to test and you will see sound levels bumping into the red. Additional survival suggestions: Bring water and dress light, be prepared for mall air quality and temperature. To remain sane and retain good judgement set a time limit for being in the store and then take a recovery break. Misc: Mall parking, hours of operation, and accessibility are all good. Security is a concern. Use caution carrying high value items out into the mall and parking lot. Follow, grab, and dash does happen.

Jeremy Torres

Awesome Apple store 5 stars great

Sherman William Hunter Sr.

This store is totally for Apple users, so if you don't have an Apple device, you will not find anyone here helpful to you at all. It is almost always crowded but the attendees appear quite happy when they are finished.

Raymond van Asseldonk

Got good advice on Apple products.

Kristin Vande Zandschulp

Said they could easily repair my iPhone 8, then broke it, then gave me a refurbished iPhone 8 as a replacement, then that phone randomly shut down. I’m getting an android.

Ken Ruoff

Have been an Apple customer for more than 25 years. I took my MacBook Pro, which suddenly developed various lines running down one-third of the screen that were clearly the result of a manufacturer's defect, to Apple Washington Square expecting that the employees there would quickly agree to fix it for free, as would have been the case when Apple was a decent instead of shamelessly greedy company. In spite of the fact that the laptop is only 21 months old, the manager, Tom Cachero, just stood there and repeated that it was not Apple's problem. Avoid this store and this greedy, shameless joke of a manager.

Garren Tiffee

Although I enjoy Apple as well as their stores, I was startled by how poorly I was treated there on May 16th. I was asking for assistance with my damaged phone which does not respond to touch. At a different store they had been happy to plug in a keypad to my phone and had it unlocked within two minutes, but here the team member I was with was extremely rude, and each time I proposed this option, I was informed that they weren't a data recovery service. I was never asking for them to recover any data... If she was to say no, and then give me a logical reason for why, then I would have had a completely different experience, but she didn't, and therefore neither did I. Overall Apple is a good company, but this location needs training in the customer service department.

William Samayoa

Went in to the apple store based on what one of their store associates had told me. The guy who was helping me told me that they couldn’t help me and that I was “misinformed”. The manager “Justin Sutter” came up and told me nothing could be done as well. While explaining while I was there and why I was upset with the situation, he rudely told me “NO” and that the conversation was “OVER”, and just turned around and walked away from me while I was still talking. NEVER have I experienced someone in customer service so RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL to the customers. It’s sad someone like that is a store manager of a brand that is supposed to hold customer service to the highest of standards.

ratul majumdar

The layout is so confusing and there are no clear signs for pickup or service.

Brian Baker

The incompetence I have experienced is mind boggling. It all started when my new macbook pro's space key broke. -They messed up my appointment leading me to visit the store twice in one day and spent hours of my time -They tried charging $780 to repair THE SPACE KEY saying it wasn't under warranty even though I was told it was when I dropped it off. I had to argue to hold them liable to their original statement. -They mistakenly sent my computer back to the store without fixing it, causing huge delay and confusion for everyone - I was told it would be 3-5 days to get my computer back. We are at TWO AND A HALF WEEKS and I still don't have my computer back and no one with support can tell me when I should get it back or where my computer currently is - I have complained to support and they are unwilling to resolve this or offer any compensation for my time, hassle, and lost productivity All in all, they have screwed up my repair every step of the way and are unapologetic and unwilling to make it right with me.

Tim Fisher

Poor customer services and I am scared to death of their radical treatment of a customer who has traveled long distances for a simple genius solution for the IPhone X that I have paid an extremely amount of money for and forced to travel a great distance to maybe be seen by a genius to remedy a defect in their IPhone X that I should never be made to seek services in front of an employee of Apple who is prejudice against my race and gender.

Connie Massi

If you need to do anything but purchase an item be prepared to WAIT and WAIT and WAIT. No appointments on weekends???? Told there was a two hour wait to get to speak to someone at 10:30 am today. That's after being shifted between two gatekeeper employees. Just spent $800 on new phone and that's the best service apple can offer.

Brendan Alex Phoenix

This location was easy for me to get help. I was there on a Sunday around 1 o’clock. Had to return an item and they didn’t ask me any questions. It was great! Hiring manager must have changed. (Note: I did check-in.)

Richywallee

They were kinda busy but they really helped. I had my phone fixed and they were really nice. Definitely recommend people to go here if you want something or to get something fixed.

On Friday, my Macbook air kept dying because of the old battery. I made an appointment online specifically for the battery replacement. Five days later, I went to the store at the time I made an appointment, but had to wait for 20 mins to talk to a Macbook tech. They checked my laptop and said they had no battery. Two days later, they said they got a battery for me. I went to the store expecting they could change the battery today, but they said it would take two more days to repair and asked me to come again. To change a battery, which is a very simple fix, I had to go to Apple store three time and it took 9 days. So inefficient! It doesn't feel like "APPLE" at all. Can they just keep batteries in store and replace it right away? Changing battery should be easy. Why is it so hard? Why does it take so long? I couldn't work with my laptop for 9 days. The similar thing happened to my iphone. When I brought my iphone to change its battery, they also said they had no battery. I couldn't wait till it came, coz of a trip abroad. My iphone didn't work after the trip. A tech guy said it happened because the old battery pushed the motherboard during the air trip. If they replace the battery on the day, it would not happen. I am not sure if it is just this Apple store's problem or all the Apple stores are the same. Hope they improve the battery changing system. After reading all the reviews, I knew it was my fault to come here. I won't come to this location again. Btw, I changed my phone to android phone after the thing happened. I love it so far. Less expensive. Easy file management. So convenient Google softwares. Dual display. It worked well with my new smart TV. When it was lack of space, I just bought 128G sd card for $45 to expand the storage. Horray! Iphone is now so expensive and easy to be broken. It costs more than $400 for repair. Ridiculous! Won't go back to iphone.

Seems like with all the staff on hand it might be easier to get a little assistance? Try training the employees to cycle the floor and casually engage customers, rather than chat amongst themselves. Great products, but this is not the level of service Apple has in mind.

Baha Sadreddin

Great store but the wait time is often very long.

Osvaldo Lopez

Customer service is terrible. You can be standing looking for someone to help and staff will ignore you.

Travis Valentyne

Shawn helped me as soon as I walked in the door at 1pm today. He went above and beyond and is an excellent addition to your crew!! Thank you for the excellent service and advice!! Why does Apple even have a phone number? 30 people working and no one answers the phone. Apple your so good but suck so bad in some areas!!

chang liu

There are three apple stores in Portland area. This one has the worst customer service. Four years ago my iPhone 5 had a battery malfunction. Their ‘genius’ tech first restored the phone and deleted all my data, photos and contacts, without solving the problem. Then they misdiagnosed my photo had a mother board issue and told me to trade it in to get a new phone. I’m glad I didn’t and asked for a second opinion. It turned out to be the battery was just dead because I improperly charged it on a four hour flight. After I replaced the battery the phone survived another three years. But my data were all gone. They have no mercy on your lost because you consent to the service ‘not responsible for data loss’. But they failed maintaining their integrity and competency providing the basic service you deserve as a long term apple customer.

David Dent

Arrived soon after opening. Received prompt and excellent service. Very nice person assisted me.

Grace Dinsdale

I see I am not the first to complain about the incredible lack of caring at this store for repairs. I had an appt at 3:30- they said would take an hour on website, I moved everything around to accommodate this very inconvenient time and got there 20 minutes in advance to ensure I could be out in an hour- There were many black t-shirted fold wandering around, looking totally unconcerned with anyone's problems. They told me since they would not get it done ---till 5:10! they would be happy to re-schedule me? Are you kidding? and no apologies. I left my phone since it had become nonfunctional due to their screwed up battery issues. SO no phone today, and I have to take a minimum of 2 hrs from my busy schedule to retrieve it. When did it become reasonable customer service to just not care AT ALL about what the customer needs? not ok in MY business! Their service is some of the very worst I have seen, and their attitude that it is just not their problem sucks.

faisa adan

Amazing customer service! And although they were busy they communicated well!

PDX REP

Cannot get a single thing done efficiently. I easily see the so called "genius specialists" just standing aloof instead of helping out customers who had fixed appointment at a given time. After waiting for almost half an hour after the scheduled appointment I had to ask one of the employees to see what was going on. They also ended up goofing up the headset repair process. I ended up getting the headphones back without any repair done almost 2 weeks after the actual repair request. I would rather just have apple ship me an empty box to send any of my devices than dealing with the snobby attitude of the employees at this store.

David Bolger

Was left on hold for an hour over a simple question and eventually just hung up

Nathan

Amazing facility, nice people, and happy to help you with broken Apple products.

Andre Floyd

Service is relatively good but sometimes the wait can be long.

Carl Geczy-Haskins

Excellent service, beautiful store, friendly and helpful people! I can’t think of a better place to buy, learn about, or repair your Apple products! As with all places in a mall (especially popular ones like an Apple store), definitely avoid it on the weekends.

Alex Torres

Who asks someone what they plan to do with their MacBook that they purchase? Like uh idk write this review apparently

Trinidad Alvarado

Great atmosphere awesome staff.

Dan Jackson

I had a horrible experience with this store. First I had to drive from Eugene to fix my phone after a update. I waited way over a hour to get helped because they skipped my place on their list. Now I have to drive back to Portland again because they won’t send the repaired phone. Manager was rude and not willing to work with me in any way. He said he did me a favor by just having the phone fixed.

Maggie Kelly

Got in line to get an iPhone battery fixed, waited in line for half an hour to learn that the wait time they promised us for our appointment would be SIX hours. Totally unreasonable, especially since the phone battery issue was an issue that Apple is at fault for. Don’t waste your time.

Bob Thomas

Friend needed too go there

peter heaver

Knowledgeable helpful staff. Enjoyable visit.

Andrey Gl

Got my iPhone 7 fixed out of warranty that was nice

Nate Garvin

Just walked out of this location after waiting 30 mins by the 11" iPad Pro table. Looking to have some questions answered before I made my purchase. Another individual who was with me was over by the pencil and case section and was not helped either. I understand your set up and check in system. However, someone coming in to make a quick and easy $1,300 purchase. Should not have to wait or be the person to initiate conversation. I made eye contact and raised my hand, only to be ignored. As well as made a passive comment to my friend "oh you also haven't been helped?" and was looked at by an employee. This is not customer service I expected, nor deserve from Apple. I will take my business to another location!

IM A HOSTAGE OF THE APPLE STORE Story time: Yesterday I came in in hopes to get help with my older version of Mac and I saw someone but they told me I needed to wait 4 hours or come back Tomorrow at 10 am. (Keep in mind, I live 30-45 min away) I chose coming back Tomorrow since I was guaranteed a spot. I came back in today with this mac and asked for it to be fixed and they said "oh sorry. You need an appointment" and I explained I was told it's a walk in appointment and they refused. I just said okay and I was frustrated at this point. But okay, I can be patient. They got my info down and told me they'd text me in 4 hours to let me know when they'd be ready for me. I drive home and as soon as I get home, I get the message to be there in 10 minutes or my spot would be lost. I tried to call the store and all I got was a automated machine. I drove ALLLLL the way back to the store and told them the situation. They tried to make me wait another 2 hours and I said no. So they called over a manager to help get me started. Perfect I thought!! No. The guy helping me was nice and all. I've been here since 1 PM and he's trying to update the Mac since then. I asked to go to the bathroom and get food but because it's an older model, I can't leave incase anything happens to it, they cant replace it. I understand that completely. However, it's now 3 PM and I asked to use the bathroom and the guy pointed to the back and said "use that one, as for lunch? I don't think so." They dint even have a water fountain back there. Btw, the guy who was helping me said he'd be back in 25 minutes and it's been an hour with no sight of him. In hungry, my phone is about to die, I cant leave the Apple store and I'm pissed. Poor customer service

Allen Dial

Good apple store fast and friendly.

Mark Crane

Your basic Apple store. Friendly, patient staff and customers who are willing to pay for good service.

Jorge Ivan

Took my macbook in for repair and they actually caused more problems than it had before

Margaret Gueck

Fantastic experience. Staff informed, patient and professional. Victoria was particularly helpful!

Carol Weinrich

We bought a new IPad with a key board so that we can use it as a computer too. It's great and easy to carry, love it!

Liu Junhan

Very bad customer experience. I will no longer go to this place AGAIN!!! We ordered an gold color iPhone 11, but the dumb staff lost our phone and give us a green one. We waited for 2 hours, with no explanation, no seat, and no water. Just wait for them to confirm the order. We ended up buy the phone again, and get the other phone. The whole process does not have any proof or any email. We were too angry to ask for the proof in store. This dump store stuff asked us to pay it twice for one phone, and the money from our card is debited just now!!! The staff of the store is stealing my money! They are not just ineffective, they are lier AND THIEF! They steal customer’s money!

Chadwick Reinheardt

Miserable customer service and a miserable experience. Drive the extra miles to Bridgeport Apple store. The people at the mall are just not good. Unless of course you have the patience of a Zen master and like waiting and being ignored for 3-4 hrs. Then by all means, practice your chi gathering here.

Vaibhav Bedekar

Very good collection and nice support staff very helpful.

Y C

Genius bar employee is idiot not genus. I visited this store to replace my iPhone 6 plus battery. When I make the appointment via Apple official website, I clearly mentioned that I am visiting the store to replace battery. The told me they don't have any, and I should wait several weeks. They print out my order form and explained they won't charge me until I get actual battery replacement. OK. It is bumpy, but I can understand up to this point. No contact from Apple for 2 months. So I contacted Apple. The chat agent told me my appointment 2 month ago CANCELLED due to NO SHOW. Are you kidding me?

John Kim

Nice Apple Store. I love how it’s surrounded by just glass panes which helps make the store look so much bigger. It’s also really convenient because once you get off the train, the Apple Store is just right there.

Meiko Merrill

Had a great time with the iPad pro and pencil . Loved seeing the space shared by all ages !

mouhcine cherkaoui

One of the worst Apple stores I've been to. Horrible customer service from the management down the employees.

Brandon Mulvahill

This place is horrible. Overpriced. Superior attitudes. I'll never go back.

Dede Hurford

very difficult to get to talk with a person at the apple store to try and make an appointment. have tried 4 different times and so so tired of holding that I would finally hang up. makes me think maybe I should purchase a Surface from Microsoft. I am still on hold 5 more minutes and again I will hang up.I didn't have to I WAS HUNG UP ON....

J. Henry

This store is a cluster, and the manager is a patronizing, inefficient simpleton. To get service for a defective ipad keyboard, I first had to wait in line 15 min to then be put into a queue to wait for a specialist. They notified me after another fifteen minutes saying it was now my turn, then I waited another fifteen minutes and still no specialist. There were at least 20 employees on the floor. My keyboard was visibly defective, literally coming apart at the seams. I should have just been given a replacement, and sent on my way. I'm almost sorry I even bought Apple products if this is the type of customer service to be expected. I'd strongly suggest going to a different Apple store. The manager is a dolt and some of the employees don't fall far from that same designation.

Kenny Talbot

Very helpful and kind people

Michael Osherow

It's an Apple store for goodness sake. Can I say anything more?

Nerd Orb

Kind people and got attended right away

Abril Borja

My first time here. I came to pick up a pair of airpods for my husband. I ordered and paid for them online. I only had to wait a couple of minutes to pick them up.

Ror Dog

I showed up at noon for my appointment, waited 15 minutes, then was informed that I would need to wait 2 hours to have my phone battery changed. When I asked why I had to wait that long, when I made an appointment precisely to avoid this situation, the sales person waved his hand at the store and simply said, "because we are busy". He made no apologies. Instead, he had plenty of "take it or leave it" attitude. I left. I will likely move to the Android operating system for my next phone.

Beth Howard

Seriously understaffed for the store traffic they had this afternoon. And the person who helped me didn't know what power brick went with my new MacBook Air.... But I got what I needed, so there's that!

Pankaj Varma

Checked out iPads. Bought online finally.

Charles Sekafetz

Not a single Apple employee greeted us or checked on us if we wanted help. Customer service at it's finest. Great selection, a lot of staff, just .....

Jim Baker

Great selection of stores but be ready to walk!!

Cameron Johnson

I had to get a company phone unlocked, and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. All of the tables have chargers, which is convenient. Is it insanely overpriced? Of course it is, but what did you expect? It's a toy store for rich people.

Mike Aiello

Downloaded something I shouldn't have. Brought my iPad pro in and my situation was remedied in 5 minutes. These folks know they're stuff.

Sydney Lehman Steen

Horrifyingly bad You guys used to care. What the hell happened? Pathetic and useless. This is "Customer No-service." This isn't a business model. It's an avoidance model. I had to give one star in order to even post this review. This is an insult to Steve Jobs and technology.

Seda Yildirim Babakiray

waited 1 hour to get help with the iwatch stand. The only thing I was going to ask for was to see some additional bands which were not on display. Apple also can not refund to their very own apple credit card which was quite hilarious. I decided not to buy the watch and I’ll be using my 7s till it dies. I am not upgrading either.

Grace Hoang

Going to the Apple store has always been a dreaded experience. After dropping my phone and breaking my screen/LCD, my phone kept inputting incorrect passwords and permanently locked me out! I got it repaired at uBreakiFix (wonderful place down the street btw). I tried to wipe my phone and restore it at home, but the phone was not cooperating, so I had no choice but to go to the Apple store. It was busy for about 2:45 on a Wednesday, but I can't blame them. I explained my problem to a Genius there and they directed me to someone else to schedule an appointment. They told me that I would not be helped until 5 pm! I wandered around the mall before returning for my appointment. I thought, because I had to wait so long, it must be some laborious process to fix my phone if it didn't work at home. Nope! A genius sat me down at the bar with a Macbook, plugged my phone in and left me there and only returned to unplug my phone and take the Macbook. While she was supposed to be helping me, she was attending to another appointment. When I had a question, she was nowhere to be found. I waited over two hours for about a minute's worth of help. Horrendous organization and the only reason why I'm giving them two stars is because I eventually restored my iPhone on my phone at the store, with no help from my Genius.

Guillaume Dutilh

The place is always packed! Now, that’s true of most Apple stores I’ve been to, sure, but it doesn’t mean that I like visiting it more often than I need to. So I only go when my Apple devices force me to, which fortunately isn’t that often. On the other hand, the staff has been very capable and helpful when I needed to visit.

Bryan Sotomish

Place was super crowded and real busy. Once I did get service it was really fast and helpful.

Lynne Ryan

I hate I phones always breaking

Ryan Jacobs

Would give 0 stars if that were an option. HORRIBLE service. Waited for 2 hours only to be told I'd have to pay $300 to have my phone fixed. Apple is truly a horrible company. I'm switching to Samsung.

MWM MWM

Always too crowded

Astrida Fuse

Love going there!

Greg Piper

Still on death-hold........ maybe an estimated wait time or you are number X in the queue......

Rhoda Kandoll

Don't use any Apple electronic products. Thank you.

kevin neet

Well this is a tough one to explain. My sons phone screen was not working but no real damage. Less than 1 yr old warranty? No i guess not. But the real kicker is i was not very nice at all and the manager on duty was able to get me to reboot(barely) he dida wonderful job and i left the store with a working phone of course i paid but ok ill just say his name Sean P. Great job!! I was not easy.

Jellie Scalzer

Omg the people working there had the cutest shirts with little apple on them and it was so cute so I asked where I could get them so they said I had to become an employee so I did but then they were like no you can’t work here so then I went home and I was sad so I bought a ticket to France and I decided to live there and I saw someone with an iPhone and that made me sad because they wouldn’t hide me so I bit him and then I went to jail and i bit everyone and now I’m in jail

Zhieco S

Mangers don’t know anything

Bob Young

My salesperson was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. All products I came to purchase were in stock, available immediately. My wait time was short. Great experience.

Margaret E

I sat for over an hour and a half with the promise someone would help me soon. I finally approached one of the employees for the third time after being promised it would only be an hour then 10 mins to be told that it would be a least 40 minuets more. I asked the fellow why he did not just tell me this and he said they were just busy... really? I guess too busy for your customers. Last time I go there. Do yourself a favor and just go on line.

Ms_B 02

After a 3&1/2 hour wait time, I was seated and sat there an additional 1/2 hour waiting for a "Genius". Bella sat down and didn't stop until ALL our needs were met. She walked me through the reality of a dying $500 phone, made sure that ALL my data was backed up before she pulled the plug, and did it all with excellent customer service with a smile. Her speed and precision were appreciated. If I ever have to go back she would be the one to get.

Steve Childs

Unnecessarily waited for 30+ mins, instead of helping us, the iPhone "genius" was chilling with his colleagues right next to us the whole time. Attitude was also subpar. Go to another location if possible.

Hax Dagron

The usual excellent Apple service.

Ama Pretty

I went there with my husband to get his phone fixed of a problem that's got to do with the earpiece hub but was denied fixing and or replacement even though the phones warranty is yet to expire mid way through this year 2019. The problem isn't a physical damage. The earpiece just stopped functioning. Actually this iphone in question is a replaced phone from Apple after we complained about the charging hub of our original iphone. And barely two weeks after, this replaced iPhone's earpiece hub stopped working. You don't hear a thing when you plug in the earpiece. We reach out to Apple again and there the tossing begins..... Finally today, with some sort of hope, ONLY for Apple to tell us that we ought to pay $268 to get it fixed at their end because even though we still on warranty, it doesn't cover the the persisting problem incurred. What the f**k!!!! It was such a terrible treatment from apple as a company to promise warranty and yet not fulfilling its promise.

Austin Meros

Everyone who helped me was friendly and very patient when I had to transfer my files onto my new computer.

David Hiltner

Great Service! Wonderful Experience!

Jay Marie

Scheduled appt. for screen repair- The guy took a brief look at my phone and tried to explain to me since the damages were so gnarly there would be a higher chance of my phone being non-repairable and then continued to persuade me into purchasing a new iPhone for $399 (Had a laugh about that after I left). Declined his business and went next door to the kiosk, Cellairis. Fixed my screen for $80 plus a screen protector with a total of $95 in just under 30 minutes.

mohamed samir

Uncertain wait times, you can book appt at 6pm then they text you at 5pm saying we are ready for you to check in now!!. If you are not ready and choose the option to delay by 30min to get there. They tell you sorry, you have been rescheduled for 8pm!!!! Or wait on a chair for unknown time.... What is this!!! Useless horrible arrogant customer service (the genius bar schedule staff). The sales staff is much nicer and cooperative though.

Jill Lee

I wish it was possible to give zero stars. This is the first Apple store I’ve Ever been to that didn’t have anyone greeting. Not one person acknowledged me in the first 15 minutes I was in there. I had 5 people walk by me. David the “greeter” was not greeting hand half way inside the store. Then he didn’t apologize and made up excuses. As a retail manager I can tell the sales floor wasn’t properly ran. Asked for a manager and waited another 10 minutes and no one came out. Who was running the store? Adam was suppose to be the manager on duty. Worst service ever.

CN Lyman

The people at this store are very helpful. I had a complex Apple ID issue involving 3 devices. It took a couple hours but they solved it without any app or data lose. I recommend this store.

Daniel Elliot

There are three Apple stores in the area. I recommend avoiding the one in Washington Square Mall. Not sure if this store is run as a franchise or something, but it's a totally different experience than normal Apple stores. The people are super rude and don't really know what they're doing, and they seem to just pick people at random to help; no organization.
