The team at OBCR went above and beyond. They were able to recover my photos that were never backed up to the cloud. My phone would no longer charge so they kept replacing the battery and backing up the photos for more than a week until all of the photos were in the cloud. While vacationing in Nags Head my oh-so-cute baby girl decided that she was 'ahh done' with my corporate provided iPhone 6 Plus. When she was 'ahh done' so was my screen, on the concrete near the pool... This business was both kind, courteous and responsive in my case. They quickly quoted and repaired my iPhone using quality parts which got me back to work (yes on vacation...) within an hour of my stopping in. As an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician, I'd highly recommend this business to anyone needing quick and knowledgeable support!

I was vacationing in kitty hawk dropped my IPhone 6s Plus and destroyed my screen. Looked these guys up and saw good reviews and I felt they were acturate after my experience. Dropped my phone off that morning and picked it up that afternoon ( they had quite a few phones to do) cost $168 for the new screen. my phone was super clean when it was returned and worked just as it did from the factory. If you have a cell phone problem while your in the OBX these folks are great.

Sometimes it's hard to get in touch with them by phone, they are always busy, but they always stop what they are doing to help anyone who walks in. Disaster struck when both my laptop and desktop computers became infected with a bad virus. OBCR was able to save/retrieve all my files; disinfect both computers and upgrade to new virus scans. When I wanted a new computer Tim built me one with exactly what I wanted on it and it’s been awesome! As I live 50+ miles away, they do Remote Access which is very much appreciated and Tim is so knowledgeable and patient, explains things to me and answers all my questions plus their prices are very reasonable! After arriving in Nags Head, my phone died. I tried charging, pushing buttons - nothing, just black screen. There is no T-mobile store around here and I didn't trust walmart. I thought maybe it was the battery although I had not had any problems. Google searched (on my husband's phone) and found this place. Explained problem and the fella (sorry - I didn't get your name) was going to see what he could do. Problem was we were leaving the next day for a funeral and I really needed my phone. He had the magic touch! He removed the case and held the power and volume buttons and voila! my phone was back! He said it may have overheated or somehow became locked up. The great thing was he wouldn't take any money and just asked for a good review. So here it is. If you're stuck, especially from out-of-town, these guys will do their best to help you out. This company is by far the 5-star standard for any business. Absolutely magnificent tech problem solvers. My first experience was with my own iMac, which I bought as a refurbish from a 3rd party seller, and I quickly learned from Tim of OBCR that it had hardware installed that had "corners cut", and he showed me, explaining WHY and comparing it to the proper standards. Tim searched right away for the best deal to replace the parts, installed everything ASAP, and updated me along the way. Since that first positive fix, I've brought various iMacs from my work's office 3 or 4 separate occasions (all with high volume, sensitive files), and OBCR came through with prompt, unbelievably fair, even better-than-before resolutions. Every time. Even if you know a little bit as far as tech repairs go, it's important to get an explanation for things- which they do...it's all in being professional. You may even learn a thing or two. Or three. The Outer Banks is lucky to have this team. I highly recommend.

I am thrilled that everyone else had such a great experience, but somehow I must have gone on all the wrong days, I suppose. We first arrived about a month ago after being rudely dealt with when we called asking for directions. My computer's hinges were messed up and it was cracking my display. The first week communication was great, they contacted me every time a new part came up, updated me all the time. However, I had to listen to a lot of explaining and re-explaining of everything - as someone who knows a decent amount about computers, this was very degrading. Around a week in we decide to just get a new computer and swap harddrives. They call me on the 19th to let me know that a new part has popped up and they can fix the old one, I tell them to go ahead with the harddrive switch. And then nothing. I called when I returned from vacation on the 29th, we called at least 3 times after that, no response. I came in today with my mother, and we were both upset, but he just kept insisting he had called and even pulled his phone out as evidence. When I showed him my phone had gotten none of these calls, he didn't seem to care. He then argued with me when I told him I did not want Windows 10. In the end, he took some charges off our bill, but made himself seem like a saint for doing so when any decent business would have done it out of apology. Wouldn't stop talking about how busy they were and how awesome that was. Overall this entire experience was humiliating, and I will have no problem driving to Virginia to have my electronics looked at to avoid having to return here again.

I've never had a problem that Tim and the crew at OBCR could not fix be it a computer or smartphone issue. I had a water damage issue with my IPhone this week and took it there and they fixed and cleaned it in an hour saving me $200 plus dollars if I would have had to replace it. Their rates are MORE than reasonable and their knowledge on a problem or advice on purchasing a new product is unsurpassed. They will always be my and my family's go to place for any electronic repair.

I was looking for a fairly specific cable, one that Staples, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target were not carrying. I called this place and (despite having to explain the cable very thoroughly with the other stores) asked about the cable and they knew exactly what I was looking for. This company is by far the 5-star standard for any business. Absolutely magnificent tech problem solvers. My first experience was with my own iMac, which I bought as a refurbish from a 3rd party seller, and I quickly learned from Tim of OBCR that it had hardware installed that had "corners cut", and he showed me, explaining WHY and comparing it to the proper standards. Tim searched right away for the best deal to replace the parts, installed everything ASAP, and updated me along the way. Since that first positive fix, I've brought various iMacs from my work's office 3 or 4 separate occasions (all with high volume, sensitive files), and OBCR came through with prompt, unbelievably fair, even better-than-before resolutions. Every time. Even if you know a little bit as far as tech repairs go, it's important to get an explanation for things- which they do...it's all in being professional. You may even learn a thing or two. Or three. The Outer Banks is lucky to have this team. I highly recommend.

I am thrilled that everyone else had such a great experience, but somehow I must have gone on all the wrong days, I suppose. We first arrived about a month ago after being rudely dealt with when we called asking for directions. My computer's hinges were messed up and it was cracking my display. The first week communication was great, they contacted me every time a new part came up, updated me all the time. However, I had to listen to a lot of explaining and re-explaining of everything - as someone who knows a decent amount about computers, this was very degrading. Around a week in we decide to just get a new computer and swap harddrives. They call me on the 19th to let me know that a new part has popped up and they can fix the old one, I tell them to go ahead with the harddrive switch. And then nothing. I called when I returned from vacation on the 29th, we called at least 3 times after that, no response. I came in today with my mother, and we were both upset, but he just kept insisting he had called and even pulled his phone out as evidence. When I showed him my phone had gotten none of these calls, he didn't seem to care. He then argued with me when I told him I did not want Windows 10. In the end, he took some charges off our bill, but made himself seem like a saint for doing so when any decent business would have done it out of apology. Wouldn't stop talking about how busy they were and how awesome that was. Overall this entire experience was humiliating, and I will have no problem driving to Virginia to have my electronics looked at to avoid having to return here again.

Took my broken iPhone to them and One that had a good screen for them to switch screens . They did a fantastic job and was done in less than 2 hours for 45.00. Highly recommend them.

Had the typical "My phone won't take a charge issue." I thought I needed to have the charging port replaced on my iPhone because sand/moisture. They took a look, cleaned it out (properly) and it was back in action. They were friendly, knowledgable and experienced. Did I mention they did not ask for payment on such a rudimentary task?

I've never had a problem that Tim and the crew at OBCR could not fix be it a computer or smartphone issue. I had a water damage issue with my IPhone this week and took it there and they fixed and cleaned it in an hour saving me $200 plus dollars if I would have had to replace it. Their rates are MORE than reasonable and their knowledge on a problem or advice on purchasing a new product is unsurpassed. They will always be my and my family's go to place for any electronic repair.

I was looking for a fairly specific cable, one that Staples, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target were not carrying. I called this place and (despite having to explain the cable very thoroughly with the other stores) asked about the cable and they knew exactly what I was looking for. I went into the store they had the cable. They were extremely helpful and generous about getting the cable to me, and the whole process only took me about 2 minutes from walking in and leaving. Highly recommend going here for anything related to computers, or laptops, high end or normal.
