I have had good experiences with this store in the past but after tonight I will not be returning. The lady who “helped” me was extremely rude and condescending. She had an attitude the second she walked over. She made no effort to help me and immediately told me that I needed to “go home and work on that” before bringing my phone back. Those around her seemed to think her attitude was okay and no one else offered to help either. I walked out and attempted to fix the phone on my own. When I returned the greeter insisted that the same lady help me. Needless to say my phone was not fixed. The incompetence there is shocking!

I cannot express how grateful I am for Stephen and Silvio’s help with my Apple Watch. I had bought an Apple Watch and within 9 days I looked and saw that I had a very small scratch on my screen. So I went to Apple store at Northlake where Stephen and Silvio helped me without hesitation. They let me exchange for a new watch. I appreciate their help in making me a satisfied Apple customer!!!

I was pleasantly surprised at how simple it was to go to this Apple store on a Saturday afternoon- we hadno appointment and my daughters phone was saying disabled - so we went received an appointment for 2 and a half hours later ( understandable they were so busy) we proceeded to shop at the mall and within 2 hours received a text. They say is at the Genius Bar and we had to wait a small amount of time but the two guys that helped us were professional took their time and fixed my daughters phone !!!!!

He listened to me carefully and fixed my problem in the quickest most efficient way to stop my iPhone from freezing. He also offered me to come back at anytime if it freezes again. Apple's motto for years has been "Think different". This is great if it means folks will buy your products. It's not so great when you arrive 20 minutes early to your appointment, only to be told you can't check-in yet. Then once you're checked in for your appointment you get to wait an hour for your appointment that was scheduled 45 minutes earlier. The experience pretty much sucks. From a resolution standpoint though Apple cannot be beat. They are fair, they are upfront, they are consistent, and they are good.

I was able to get my screen replaced on my iPhone XS in less than an hour by pre-registering with Genius then arriving at my appointment time, in fact the repair was completed earlier than the time promised.

Had a scheduled appointment, was seen on time, had everything regarding my need for repair on my watch was explained thoroughly. This Apple store isn't as good as the one in Southpark mall but they have everything you need. Customer service has been decent to me and this place stays clean. I wouldn't come during peak hours if you need help though.

No matter how great your products are if your employees lack the basic morals you will ultimately lose. People coming to apple store to buy at least >$300 worth of products they don’t even get the same customer experience as they would at a fast food where they spend $5 to $10 on a meal, that’s a shame.

Overall usually expected experience from within the Apple Store. Appointments are never completely guaranteed. The amount of people in the store is always a massive amount, no big surprise. Customer interaction seems to be really great however and very helpful during my last experience there.

My daughter got her first Apple phone for Christmas and we could not get it to boot. We had not been to the Apple store prior and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were taken care of a very busy Saturday morning !! Upon arrival we scheduled a consult and given about an hour's wait time, giving us the opportunity to shop around the mall. Shortly before our appointment, we received a text to see if we were ready. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient ! I would highly recommend anyone to visit the store for troubleshooting.

Cons: Making a reservation is almost as awful as being a walk in. The wait times are insane. I was explained that there’s an algorithm that dictates waiting periods; if that’s the case, I hope Apple corporate reads this review. Apparently there are news articles all about it online. I tried to make a reservation, and the closest one available was a week from when I was trying to go. So, I headed down to the store on a Sunday when they opened at 12. Well, I get to a Genius that checks me into the queue not much longer after that. They said they could text or call me when it was my turn, which ended up being an hour and a half after I checked in. There were almost no people waiting in the queue. Furthermore, when I showed up at the request of my text, I had to wait another 20 minutes for someone to talk to me. THEN I had to wait an hour for the actual repair. It was pretty ridiculous to be honest. it sucks cause if you break a screen or something, they’re really the only ones that can do it properly. Pros: They have anything you’d need for your Apple product. Also, the staff are very friendly and able to help when they do reach you.

Great experience. Was in and out in less than an hour. Trading in device for upgrade with no appointment. I have been in there much longer before. Made it a point to get there when they opened. Transaction was done very quickly and he was quite helpful. I know going in can be a headache, but this time was great. Thanks.

Lots of employees standing around talking amongst each other. Line usually long with only 1 person doing check ins even though 6 other employees are laughing and talking. Wait time usually 2 hours or more.

I was able to order my item online and go inside the store to pick it up less than an hour later. Picking up the item was super easy and quick. Prior to arriving to the store they allowed me to add the ticket for the item to my wallet. Upon walking into the store I was greeted right away, my ticket was scanned, and my item was brought out to me. The reps at the store were super friendly and ensured I had been waited on a few times although I literally only had to wait about 5-10 minutes for the entire process.

I would not typically frequent this mall or this Apple Store location, but seeing as how the SouthPark Apple Store is closed indefinitely for renovations, I had no choice. This location was double the distance for me, so that was a bummer. I tried repeatedly, but was unable to make an appointment online for several weeks, so I was left with only one option: show up randomly and wait for the Genius Bar to resolve my hardware issue on my iPhone 7, which was still under warranty. I got there right at noon, and was told that it would be 1-1.5 hours to be seen, then whatever time it took to make the repair or replacement. Wayyyyyy better than the 5-6 hours I was told once at SouthPark to resolve an Apple ID issue!! Anyway, I didn't get out of the store for over 3 hours, mainly because there was a problem with their repair equipment (the diagnostic calibrations machine?) that even though they replaced both the camera and screen on my phone, that they were not able to finalize the repair. In the end, they gave me a new phone and transferred everything all over to it from my old phone. I just wish that this was the initial proposed solution, rather than messing with my old phone for almost 2 hours, then being told it was a lost cause. If that had happened, my visit would have been half as long. The staff was all SUPER friendly and helpful, and I left with a brand new phone with 2x the warranty coverage my old, broken and 'tampered with' phone would have had (~40 days vs. 90 days). In the end, I'm happy!

First of all this place is straight up trash. My MacBook Pro had juice spilled over it. I called Apple Support and had an appointment set the following day on. I checked in and sat at the "Genius" Bar and the tech ran the diagnostics on it. We conversed for a while and then he went to the back with my laptop to get a "deeper" look. Literally he came back five minutes later and told me the damage was extensive and that it did not look good. The options were to spend over $800 to repair and get it back a week later or just get a new computer. It did not seem right and way too much. So, I got a second opinion from my local IT repair store today. He told me the condition was not as bad from what I was told by the Apple Store. It was cleaned and fixed within four hours and it was only $200! Rather than the $800 they wanted to pressure me into spending as if they were my only resort. Girl bye! Now I am currently writing on said laptop instead of a week later. If you do not liked being played a fool and conned out of your money, I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere instead of these scammers!

Terribly long wait to get an iPhone 6 battery replacement. Asking myself if it was worth the discount of $40 (I can pay $69 at uBreakiFix). Basically be prepared to leave your phone there all day or more than a day.

DO NOT GET SERVICE DONE HERE! This Apple store is even lucky they get a 1 star rating. Worst service ever. Our I-phone batteries were not holding a charge like they used to, so I called Apple on 4/26/2018. The customer service rep said it would be $29 to replace each battery. He contacted the Northlake Apple Store and said they do not take appointments, but they take walk-ins and be sure to get there early so they can take care of us because it gets really busy. I took my phone and my wife’s on 4/28/2018 and showed up when they opened at 10:01am. One employee took my info down, and rescheduled me for over an hour later. Why couldn’t they do that on the phone? 1.5 hours later, came back to another employee telling me it is going to be about an hour and a half to change both batteries because they were busy. Stuck at the Mall for another hour and a half. 3 hours total. Finally got both our phones back with new batteries. Morning wasted! Unacceptable! I’ve purchased a car in less time it takes this place to change a damn battery in a phone. It sucks that we had to go to this store since the South Park store is closed.

Came here to purchase my first Apple Watch. The lady that helped me pick out my watch was patient and very helpful. The older women, I believe her name was Julie who was supposed to help me set up the watch was extremely rude and condescending. That person through off the whole experience resulting in a bitter mood when I should be happy and excited to use my new toy.

Terrible! LONG line, LONG wait, arrogant sales people. You can get a cracked screen or minor problem fixed at ANY cell repair place for a whole lot less $, and much quicker without being totally annoyed.

It was a busy Saturday and the store was full but still the service just took under an hour which is good. They explained the process and made sure I m comfortable before proceeding with the service. I walk into the Apple store, a gentleman walks up and says he'll find someone to help me. 10 minutes later a different gentleman walks up, informs me he can't help me, says he'll find someone else. One of the reasons, its relatively quiet-- compared to many other Apple stores I visited from east to west coast. Mike, a hard working man who I would classify as one of the Northlake Apple stores greatest assets gives you expert and honest advice, hard working , and friendly. He is supported by others who make you feel welcome to be an Apple customer. The NYC teams could learn a thing or two from the team here in North Charlotte. One note here... The mall where this store is located has seen some evening crime problems recently (as have numerous malls) including a shooting. So, if your buying a $2,000 computer; daylight hours for purchase may be a word to the wise.

I would not typically frequent this mall or this Apple Store location, but seeing as how the SouthPark Apple Store is closed indefinitely for renovations, I had no choice. This location was double the distance for me, so that was a bummer. I tried repeatedly, but was unable to make an appointment online for several weeks, so I was left with only one option: show up randomly and wait for the Genius Bar to resolve my hardware issue on my iPhone 7, which was still under warranty. I got there right at noon, and was told that it would be 1-1.5 hours to be seen, then whatever time it took to make the repair or replacement. Wayyyyyy better than the 5-6 hours I was told once at SouthPark to resolve an Apple ID issue!! Anyway, I didn't get out of the store for over 3 hours, mainly because there was a problem with their repair equipment (the diagnostic calibrations machine?) that even though they replaced both the camera and screen on my phone, that they were not able to finalize the repair. In the end, they gave me a new phone and transferred everything all over to it from my old phone. I just wish that this was the initial proposed solution, rather than messing with my old phone for almost 2 hours, then being told it was a lost cause. If that had happened, my visit would have been half as long. The staff was all SUPER friendly and helpful, and I left with a brand new phone with 2x the warranty coverage my old, broken and 'tampered with' phone would have had (~40 days vs. 90 days). In the end, I'm happy!

First of all this place is straight up trash. My MacBook Pro had juice spilled over it. I called Apple Support and had an appointment set the following day on. I checked in and sat at the "Genius" Bar and the tech ran the diagnostics on it. We conversed for a while and then he went to the back with my laptop to get a "deeper" look. Literally he came back five minutes later and told me the damage was extensive and that it did not look good. The options were to spend over $800 to repair and get it back a week later or just get a new computer. It did not seem right and way too much. So, I got a second opinion from my local IT repair store today. He told me the condition was not as bad from what I was told by the Apple Store. It was cleaned and fixed within four hours and it was only $200! Rather than the $800 they wanted to pressure me into spending as if they were my only resort. Girl bye! Now I am currently writing on said laptop instead of a week later. If you do not liked being played a fool and conned out of your money, I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere instead of these scammers!

DO NOT GET SERVICE DONE HERE! This Apple store is even lucky they get a 1 star rating. Worst service ever. Our I-phone batteries were not holding a charge like they used to, so I called Apple on 4/26/2018. The customer service rep said it would be $29 to replace each battery. He contacted the Northlake Apple Store and said they do not take appointments, but they take walk-ins and be sure to get there early so they can take care of us because it gets really busy. I took my phone and my wife’s on 4/28/2018 and showed up when they opened at 10:01am. One employee took my info down, and rescheduled me for over an hour later. Why couldn’t they do that on the phone? 1.5 hours later, came back to another employee telling me it is going to be about an hour and a half to change both batteries because they were busy. Stuck at the Mall for another hour and a half. 3 hours total. Finally got both our phones back with new batteries. Morning wasted! Unacceptable! I’ve purchased a car in less time it takes this place to change a damn battery in a phone. It sucks that we had to go to this store since the South Park store is closed.

Came here to purchase my first Apple Watch. The lady that helped me pick out my watch was patient and very helpful. The older women, I believe her name was Julie who was supposed to help me set up the watch was extremely rude and condescending. It was a busy Saturday and the store was full but still the service just took under an hour which is good. They explained the process and made sure I m comfortable before proceeding with the service. I’m pretty upset about how I was spoken to at this store. I dropped my phone off for a battery replacement and the male apple person was very condescending to me. He asked me what was going on and I explained why I needed a battery replacement. He replied, “is that what you think is happening or actually happening”. He then went on to say, “would you like to know what actually happened”. This was communicated in a very condescending and disrespectful way. Apparently I was wrong with what I thought was causing the battery issues but the way he spoke to me was like I was unintelligent and he made me feel pretty small. I don’t mind having someone explain to me that I’ve been misinformed- that’s fine. I want to have the right facts. But there are respectful ways to do it and disrespectful ways, especially when you are only discussing why a battery needs changed. Hope he felt good about himself at my expense.

I drove 45 minutes to the store for a warranty issue with my phone and was told they were not taking anymore walk in appointments even though the store did not seem busy. He told me the next available appointment was a week from today. They were more than happy to help people looking to make a purchase but to busy to help one with a product issue! I informed the manager that I my Dad is in the hospital with stage 4 lung cancer and I cannot afford not to have a reliable phone. I asked if he would make an exception due to my situation and he quickly said he could not. I am in the customer service business and i can always make an exception when a customer is in need. This was the store manager by the way!!! We have 5 I phones and just purchased 2 Mac books 3months ago. I now regret it. It seems Apple is great at selling products but they certainly can’t keep up with the repairs. I am extremely disappointed and I will be certain to tell everyone about this poor customer service experience!!

I visited US last week, got caught up in heavy rain and condensation formed in iPhone X. The phone powered off and I didn't bother charging due to condensation. I went to Northlake Apple store as I could not book an appointment (as my phone was not powering on). They told me it's an hour waiting as I was walk in which is fair. I went after an hour and a "genius" had a look at the phone. She opened the sim tray and said "its bad" Apple doesn't cover liquid damage. It had been 15 months since I bought the phone so obviously the warranty was expired. I explained that the phone was supposed to be water resistant (up to 1 metre depth for 30 minutes). She said "sorry can't help you" as it is liquid damage. I took the phone as I was flying back to Australia in two days. I booked a genius appointment the next day of my arrival in AUS. She had a look at my phone, opened sim tray and explained to me that the seal has not turned red and hence it is not considered water damage. She replaced the phone as the phone didn't function as it was supposed to after confirming no modification was done on the phone. The new replacement also came with two years warranty which is standard in AUS. Very poor customer service and disappointed by "Genius" at Northlake Apple store in Charlotte.

Went for iPhone 6 battery replacement. My daughters phone was not lasting at all. Battery was operating at 90 percent. We showed up for appointment and dropped off for 1.5 hrs to find that they did nothing because of a third party battery previously installed. They said it could cause fire if they tried to remove it. So don’t go for battery service if you have already had an aftermarket battery installed.

We happened to be at Northlake Mall today and thought we would pick up a replacement I-pad and maybe a new laptop. We looked around passing time waiting to be approached. I got tired of waiting. I see black shirts with the apple logo talking to each other and a half dozen just dazed and confused. Don't let the clothes fool you. We have 2 Apple X phones, an I-mac and 3 I-pads. She said "sorry can't help you" as it is liquid damage. I took the phone as I was flying back to Australia in two days. I booked a genius appointment the next day of my arrival in AUS. She had a look at my phone, opened sim tray and explained to me that the seal has not turned red and hence it is not considered water damage. She replaced the phone as the phone didn't function as it was supposed to after confirming no modification was done on the phone. The new replacement also came with two years warranty which is standard in AUS. Very poor customer service and disappointed by "Genius" at Northlake Apple store in Charlotte.

Went for iPhone 6 battery replacement. My daughters phone was not lasting at all. Battery was operating at 90 percent. We showed up for appointment and dropped off for 1.5 hrs to find that they did nothing because of a third party battery previously installed. They said it could cause fire if they tried to remove it. So don’t go for battery service if you have already had an aftermarket battery installed.

We happened to be at Northlake Mall today and thought we would pick up a replacement I-pad and maybe a new laptop. We looked around passing time waiting to be approached. I got tired of waiting. I see black shirts with the apple logo talking to each other and a half dozen just dazed and confused. Don't let the clothes fool you. We have 2 Apple X phones, an I-mac and 3 I-pads. We were ready to purchase, waiting for any sign of acknowledgement that we were there. Obviously, I have been to other Apple stores. This was the first time I just had enough. I don't NEED to purchase anything at this store.

Very disappointed with this store as I was being discriminated by saying that I wasn’t being able to be assisted due to the store was closing in 15 minutes and they had 5 people to buy ahead of the manager Emily checked 3 people ahead of me to help them but when it came to me she told me know coz phone transactions take long and they have to close at 9pm on dot. Being in service business for 11 years if my customers come in at 8:59pm and my store closes at 9pm I still take them and sacrifice going home late but I gues these people don’t care. First they slow your phone down then drain your battery to force you to by another phone then discriminate you when you go to the store wowww Apple I guess that’s a new and nice way of taking care of customers.

Over a month to replace a battery for an iPhone 5 when we were told that a replacement phone with the battery would be in within 3-5 days. And, $80.00 for a battery?? Worst service I’ve ever had with Apple and I’ve had them for decades. I had an appointment. The young man said he would wipe the memory of my laptop and it would take about 30 mins. So I came back at the designated time and he wasn’t there. Was told “he was around somewhere “ but no one ever got him and 30 mins later he was still not there. Another guy said “it’s done, you can go”. Without any more assistance with how to get the rest of my data reloaded correctly and absolutely NONE of my questions answered. Now I have an appointment (thanks to the lovely people at Apple Care) at the South Park location where I’m hoping to get more assistance.

Woof. I know Apple stores are always chaotic, but on multiple occasions now I’ve had to wait upwards of 20 minutes for an appointment schedule days in advance. You get seated at a loud table with others waiting. Then the Apple employee comes over to you and does business with you right there in front of everyone. It’s just not a super comfortable experience. It’s loud, over-stimulating, long wait times, and then the service feels rushed, and if you have questions you feel like you are impeding on someone else’s appointment time. You just feel like a sheep.

Apple is one of my most favorite stores. Not just because I am an electronic junkie, but also because every time I go the customer service is amazing. Sure wait times for the Genius Bar can be long, but that's expected. When I went recently I had to wait to be seen, but as soon as I entered the store one of the guys came straight up to me to point me in the right direction. The guy who signed me in for a Genius Bar appointment was super nice too. Cameron, the technician who helped me with my issue, was great as well. Very helpful, quick, knowledgeable...it was a smooth process.

I have had a MacBook Pro for several years and I was in need of an updated computer. I called the store prior to bringing my device to get a trade-in credit and was told over the phone that I would receive a credit for my computer towards the purchase of my new computer. When I arrived to the store, the store was super busy but they did get to me pretty quickly because I made an apt. Upon speaking to the store representative they quickly informed me that they do not handle any trade-ins and that needed to be handled directly with Apple online. Because I could not wait on purchasing my product I went ahead and told him I was going to purchase my computer anyway, then they sent me to the sales representative; he was very cutthroat, down to business asked me what I wanted, made the sale told me that I needed to purchase these other devices to transfer all my documents from my old computer into my new one, which I knew this was untrue, I knew I could do this at home on my own. He continued to try to convince me to purchase additional items to transfer my information, i declined and I went ahead and told him I was going to purchase my computer only. He Closed the sale and sent me on my way. Was very disappointed with their lack of help, poor customer service and it seemed like all they cared about was to make more and more sales not really about my satisfaction. Not only that but i have tried calling the manager at least 4 times without a return call. I will definitely not go back to that store .

Beware when it comes to a repair issue, they might be able to fix the problem on your phone but is more profitable for them to tell you that your phone can't be fixed, keep your phone and sell you one of theirs, keeping your phone they can use your parts make profit with your phone and make you feel like they selling you a phone at a very low price when in fact they're making a profit by selling you one and keeping yours. I took my phone in for fixing they did not fix the problem that I brought it for and they broke another part of a phone and they don't want to take responsibility for it in fact they want me to pay for their mistakes.

The worst customer service experience in 8 years I ever had at this store. First of all a manager who was on the floor was jumping customers over my turn and was ignoring whenever I try to check about my order. Once I got the product, package Pin was missing in the pack, pin that is used for sim card slot. When I ask the girl who was helping my daughter for more than 15 minutes about the missing pin, instead of getting the pin, started misbehaving with unpolite, unprofessional tone and language, as far as she told me to leave the store for just asking her to expedite. She even got other customers looks like her relatives involved in this conversation, who are not supposed to meddle between Apple store employee and customer. This employee Marina refused to give her name when I asked, but another manager came in to help and provided her name. I want Apple to know that Marina is responsible for loosing my business of Apple with this last visit and will switch over to Android products. I had been buying couple of Apple products from this store every month as gifts to friends, families and staff.
