Passionate and selfless service :') I was having the oddest issue, my computer would boot up in my local computer shop but wouldn't boot up at all in my apartment. My local computer shop wasn't very helpful and were dismissive of the issue. I ended up calling MACPC NYC out of desperation for advice, their staff- Abdo (hope I spelt his name right), spent a good half hour on the phone with me troubleshooting the problem. He was so kind and patient and I'm extremely grateful for his help. I'm definitely visiting the store in person if I ever need their services, highly recommended!

Was sent here by squaretrade to fix my note 8 screen. Dropping off the phone was smooth, I was promised a 24 hour turn around. The next day I called and was told the part was running late. At the end of the day I got a call around 7-8pm, the phone was ready and he was going to drop it off by my house! Door to door service, can ask for better then that and more then made up for the few hours extra of wait. However, that's where the 3 stars end. As I began inspecting the phone the cookie crumbled. The screen had burn in, indicating it was a used screen. The bigger issue however was the body of the phone. When I gave it in there wasn't even a spec on it (always kept in a case). When I got it back there were a ton of scratches on all 4 sides. I can only assume it was from removing the screen but it made me very upset. I refilled with squaretrade and had a replacement sent out. I'll admit I didnt go back to the store to fix it as I didn't feel the need too.

Abdo is the best! The last time I needed my Lenovo fixed I had to ship it to Texas and wait several weeks. Abdo took a look at my computer for about 5 minutes (without an appointment), suggested a quick software fix that resolved the issue (which I'd been dealing with for months), and then refused to charge me for it! I will definitely be back.

My track-pad had been giving me hell and slowing my work to a crawl for almost two weeks. I had friends recommend a few other places with fancy buildings but they all wanted more money for just a diagnostic AND needed to keep my computer for 3-days before they even told me what was wrong with it. Abdo Zandani took my laptop and had me in-&-out in under 1hr. ALL REPAIRS made along with cleaning out the fans and checking my battery at no extra charge. MacPCNYC Rocks!!! My entire experience was great! I was given a same day appointment. Abdo gave me a 2 hour window to look at my laptop, that I haven’t used in 2 years after a soda spilled on it. He determined nothing was actually wrong with it. He removed a few items that might allow a virus or malware problems to occur. He only charged me the nominal inspection fee. He could have easily, easily taken advantage of me. He could have made up a technical problem to charge me anything. I appreciate his honesty and quick assessment. I have my laptop back! I am sorry if I got the owner/tech's name wrong, Abdul? He's the gentlemen who I believe owns the business. Very kind and considerate. He actually took the time to give me advice on my hard drive after he fixed another computer of mine. If he has cheaper / discounted parts to fix your computer, he will give you that option and a much cheaper price. As well, he gave me a few supplies (what?!), which is so kind of him. If he has anything he can help you with and the time, he will be able to advise you and give you a fair price that is far cheaper than what other near by services would give you. I believe he gives one to 3 year warranties as well up front. SO GLAD HE'S IN MY HOOD!

I filmed something on my Sony a6000, and when I went to transfer the files off the MicroSD card onto my Mac, it said the files could not be read! Adbo worked with me patiently over the course of about an hour, and he was able to get his PC to read the files, and we then transferred them both onto my external drive as well as onto my actual computer. Plus, it cost me less than $100 since it was less than 64gb that I needed recovered. (He has a tiered system where the price corresponds to the size of the files that need to be recovered.) He also gave me some pointers about how to avoid this situation next time. You're the best, Abdo!!!!

Man, where do I begin with my praises. I am always just so happy with the work done by Abdo and his team at MacPCNYC! They are very competitive in their prices as they are the least expensive electronics/computer repair shop anywhere around (in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan...I've called and checked!) and their services are top notch, very professional and QUICK!!! Yesterday in the late afternoon, around 4 pm or so, I call Abdo at the store on a Saturday and tell him about my iPad cracked screen and messed up headset jack, both of which need replacement. He tells me to bring it in for repair and quotes me a great price. I get an email the next day (on a Sunday) at 10 am that it is ready for pick up. He even throws in an Otter Box case for me so I don't drop it again. OMG. This is why I keep sending all of my friends his way. My friend even brought her iMac from Jersey City in for him to do some work on it, upgrade it and transfer a bunch of stuff onto various devices and wipe it clean inside, all at a very low price and had it back to her the very next day as promised, so she made the trip and spent the night at my place for this. Yes, it is totally worth it to bring your computer for Abdo and his team for a customized, individualized consultation (call him first) that can have your machines up and ready to go, like new, for a really competitive price you will not find anywhere else. Thank you Abdo for my iPad that looks and feels like new!

I concur with all the other people who have posted very favorable reviews of this computer repair business. The owner is Dr. Abdo Zandani. He is not a medical doctor, so don't go to him to treat your headache unless your malfunctioning computer is the reason for your headache. Abdo has a Ph.D. in computer science and he is the most knowledgeable and capable person you are likely to encounter in this field. Not only that, but if they awarded advanced degrees for being a good person he'd have a second Ph.D. I have been consulting Abdo for years whenever I have a computer problem and he invariably solves these problems expeditiously and for a very reasonable fee. He will even come to your home if it is difficult for you to visit him at his store: this means that he is a computer doctor who makes house calls! Abdo works a full day seven days a week. Since I get tired after about two hours of work, and consider four hours a long day, I asked him how he manages to work such long hours. He told me that when what you do is fun, it's not even really work. Have fun, Abdo!

I was so happy and grateful to discover MACPC NYC! This is honestly THE BEST place to get your computer repaired in NY. I work as a designer and am very dependent on my laptop for my work. I had deadlines due the next day, and I accidentally spilled liquid on my laptop. I needed my computer looked at and repaired asap! Most of the other places, I called, said it would take 5-7 business days. After doing a quick google search based on highest ratings, I stumbled into MACPC NYC Repairs and spoke with the owner directly after calling. He didn’t snob me like the other repair businesses did over the phone, who mostly mentioned that they people in queue and it would likely take a week or more. He was super cordial and attentive and asked me to bring in my computer and gave me a great rate in advance. Upon meeting Abdo, he was really friendly, honest, earnest and super-efficient!! He said my computer would be ready the following day, but ended up finishing it in a couple hours. Highly recommended!!! Don’t hesitant in getting your computer repaired anywhere else!

Mr. Abdo is a stand up guy. Twice he's repaired two of my computers. This time my computer's fan is messed up (error message basically says that my computer fan is not working). Mr. Abdo told me to try Ultra Duster to clean out my computer vents first and see what happens. I didn't have one with me or know where to get a can.. so he gave me a can of his. Who does that??? I'm going to do this....but I already think the fan isn't working since it does get hot and shut down after a few seconds. I should be able to get my computer back within a day or two after submitting it....I highly recommend this place especially if you live nearby!

Before you start crying about the woes of your device, GO HERE!! My experience: The charging port on my (very very old) iPad Mini was broken, and wouldn’t allow me to charge my device or create any backups on my computer. Apple told me that I had to pay $250 dollars for a replacement iPad AND lose my data. However, I believed that there was still hope. That’s when I came to MACPC NYC Repairs and met my kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable savior, Mr. Abdo. He took a quick look at my device, even though I didn’t have an appointment, and immediately told me what the issue was, how he would fix it, and that he would be able to fix it. He gave me a reasonable quote—which was much better than Apple’s pricing to replace the device—and fixed the issue within a day’s time. I was absolutely elated, the service and professionalism were phenomenal. I can finally finish my term papers without anxiously hoping that my iPad doesn’t die on me! This is the best place to have your computer repaired. We had a comllicated issue with an Alienware laptop. They did a great job, the turn around was quick , and the price very reasonable. I came back another time and instead of having me waste a lot of money on repairs basically let me know it wouldn't be worth it. Very very helpful and super nice.

I can’t speak any more highly of this place. In a city where there are tons of repair people it’s awesome to stumble upon one as incredible as Dr. Abdo at MACPC NYC. Amazingly quick service, very honest and personable. My Mac was already outside of AppleCare and crapped out mid edit for a project. The typical repair would have taken 4-5 more days than I had but he offered an alternative solution. He took care of my issue, secured my hard drive, and gave me a sweet deal to boot that didn’t break the bank. I was pleasantly surprised at the quick turnaround time (24 hours for my issue!) and walked away with a faster computer at the end of the day! Don’t pass him up!

My laptop was bootlooping (turning on and then off repeatedly) so I brought it here, and he was able to fix it. Come 3 weeks later, the issue is happening again so I called him up as we were within the 30 day warranty he provides, and he fixed it again, this time it was a semi-related issue, and he fixed it for free! Abdo will be the only person I'm going to go to whenever I have any Mac issues or iPhone issues!! I accidentally dropped my laptop & I came to Abdo & he fixed not just 1 of my laptops but 2. The best part was I didn't lose any data at all & he was SO HONEST about what repairs I really needed and also helped me save about $300 by advising that my batteries on both laptops still had some life left and to bring it back when I start seeing the real symptoms of when it really needs to be replaced. He's such a hard worker & he treats everyone with kindness & respect. Oh & he gave me a loaner which was CRUCIAL for my work (I'm a freelancer) and it was a really good loaner, not some old outdated Mac. Anyway, can't recommend him enough. There is no one else in the Brooklyn area (maybe even the entire NYC) with work that parallels that of MACPC. Mr. Abdo is by far the best, and his prices are very fair. I had some issues with my PC, in regard to the most recent update, and I'd read every forum available to me and tried everything I could to fix it myself. In the end, I felt I needed to take it to a technician. I read the reviews of MACPC, and thought that it might be a good place to check out. So I gave him a call, and he was more than accomodating, even going so far as to wait after hours to receive my desktop, since I was running late. He didn't complain when I called; he simply said that he would wait. And he did, patiently. I was very impressed with MACPC, and if I ever run into trouble with a computer again, this place will forever be trusted with my business. Five Stars, Mr. Abdo. You're a great guy and an amazing technician.

Fantastic, PATIENT, and honest service. I had two computers repaired at a discount. The owner (I believe) gave me good advice and even a few supplies to help me w/ my issue....(I will give him back the tiny screw drivers as soon as I'm finished with them!!)I don't know anyone who does that. I think I will bring my other old computer in for him to fix the hard drive. I called other places including GeekSquad and they seem to charge a lot more. Walkins are fine, but it's also best to call him directly for appts. I think he and his co. can fix just about anything! MAC OR PC.
