Went into best buy for a TV wall mount. I asked the guy if they mount the TV on my wall and he said yes I asked him how much he said $200. I was like so far that's the cheapest I gotten a rate for. As he was ringing me up. He said oh your a total tech member. I was like yeah. He told me it's not $200 ,but $50 bucks. I was like what. So I bought 2 TV mounts for my 55 in TV and they mount them on for 50 bucks. Not bad.

Buyer Beware!!!!!!! I wish I could say something positive about the place, but EVERY time we go here we are swindled by the customer service/repair center team. It sucks, this is the closest one to Hoboken/Jersey City because they are total scam artists. I’m not sure what business owner or manager would encourage this kind of behavior from their employees. I’m not sure when Best Buy stopped standing by their products, (we’ve purchased 2 laptops, TV, home security cameras, desktop, etc.), over the years and have gone there for repairs when those products go faulty and they suddenly take no responsibility, or throw out an arbitrary number even when products are BRAND NEW. It ALWAYS seems like there is a made up number for repairs or for them to even look at a faulty product we’ve bought there. They could care less about the customer’s schedule and take their sweet time. They aim super high and offer no “guarantees” and try to push the Best Buy warranties on you. I am really disappointed with the customer service and constant pressure to buy their packages. No customer service savvy whatsoever. Best to go elsewhere. Read the Yelp reviews- Stay away!!
One of the guy who was helping us has no professional ethics. How come you are spanish, understand the language very well and couldn't responded in spanish while the person who needed help did not understand english.

Ordered an AC online turns out they don’t have in stock at the Jersey City store. However, online said otherwise. Went to the 86th St store in NYC to get it they tell me it won’t arrive until the July 26th which has passed. Still awaiting confirmation of when my AC will be in. Called customer they say the 8th or the 25 of August. Terrible service. How do run out of AC 12k units in the season for AC’s! Pretty much pointless now. It’s been hell with this heat wave.

I purchased a laptop for school prior to going on vacation. After coming back from vacation I noticed that the laptop I was given was the inferior model, looks exactly the same but has lower specs. The superior laptop was on sale making it exactly the same price as the inferior one, therefore making it impossible for me to tell the difference until I actually checked the specs at home. I went to exchange the laptop and Alfonso and Cherry were very professional, quickly recognized that it was a mistake from their colleague and were looking to help me even though the return policy had recently expired. However because a student discount was applied at the time of purchase which was no longer available, they did not have the authority to exchange for the same price. They had to escalate this to their manager called Sheryl. Sheryl then began to insist that she couldn't do anything for us. I explained to her my frustration of not only having this inconvenience happen to me but that it wouldn't be fair for me to be penalized for a mistake that was not mine. She continue insisting that she could not do anything for me and that the best she could do was offer me a reasonable discount for another item. (Meaning I would now have to look to spend more money on another item. Not store credit or gift card but a reasonable discount). After I refused and mentioned that I understood that maybe she couldn't do something but that someone above her or corporate should be able to, she quickly started asking for my information and was miraculously able to override the system and perform the exchange without me having to pay a single cent extra. She did not speak to anyone else or research at all. Meaning she lied to me several times during the 2 hour wait period that I was there for, when she said there was nothing she could do. To make things worst she finished off not by apologizing for the inconvenience but by giving me an attitude and telling me I need to make sure that in the future I have the right product within the 15days. I am a content creator that has thousands of followers and I have always talked well about Best Buy. I always purchase my electronics there. It is very sad that Sheryl does not trust in the professionalism of her colleagues but instead believes I should expect them to commit a mistake.

UPDATE ON THIS REVIEW.. delivery guys come today at 5pm after fridge stays outside since 8am yesterday with no clue of that they are they for. Call dispatch, their boss had no idea either. They are not even installation guys, only drop off. We tell them to just take the fridge back. They say they are going to the truck to charge their phone AND THE DROVE OFF!! You can't make this up. Best Buy has no resolution but I am having them pick up all 6 items that were on the order! Wish I could review less than a 1!!! Customer Service experience has been absolute worst and noone can help! Had a $3900 refrigerator delivered. We declined what they call "installation" charge. The description only talks about a water line install. I didn't need help with that so I said no. Turns out this means they won't even remove the fridge from the box or give you enough time to remove and look at it to make sure its what you even ordered, let alone in good condition. Now we're stuck having to take the doors off and take it apart to get it through the door on our own. This wasn't explained and the website says free delivery gets the fridge delivered to your room of choice. That doesn't mean my front porch!
Went to buy a Chromebook with specific functionality for my son's school. Emmanuel was great to work with, knowledgeable, honest and very patient with our questions. He spoke to my husband in store, and since I couldn't be there, spoke to me on phone in case I had any specific questions for him. Although the staff is very cooperative and have a lot of patience. We were at the counter for about 30+ min I didn't see the guys on the counter stressed out due to that. But option wise I could see Amazon is still cheaper. Why would I go that far to buy something which I can get at my door step for free and about 10$ cheaper. The only good side is u can touch the product and verify what u want. But I have seen much bigger and better stores than this. 4 stars I gave for the guys on the cell phone counter. Sorry I forgot their names but they are all good.
I had been there to return couple of things, there was huge queue when we had been there and only one lady was there to collect the returns, we had to wait for almost an hour in queue just to return the item. They should put at least 2-3 people in return section, except this rest all is good with this shop.

If I could write the store a half star or no star I would. Recently went in to grab an Apple Watch charging cable a 6 foot cable was in the wrong SKU box marked as $29 as opposed to $39. When I brought it to the register they rang it up as $39, I explained and showed an image, that was shown on the shelf they were marked as $29. After the woman behind the register spoke with the manager they told me there was nothing they could do. I disagreed with them and said that it was not my fault that it was marked at $29. They should have given it to me for the original location marked as $29 but of course not. I will go to Amazon and get it. This is why stores like this need to close.

Person on the phone, II thin his name is Don or Dan wasn't nice at all, told me my pick up order will be ready between 1-2 hours meanwhile, the recording in the phone said 45 mins just like the people from other Best Buy who sent me here. Once at the store, the girl was very nice. The merchandise had a broken box and she was really helpful changing it for another one. She definitely saved the day, I think her name is shanadashia or something like that ( sorry for no writing it right) but she's the girl in pick up store dept. Because of her, I gave 4 starts, because of him it's NOT a 5 stars.

Best buy employee are only there because they want to stand around doing nothing while getting paid. They have no interest in improving company's reputation or bottomline. Came to this store, literally total waste of time. I told 3 sales I know what phone I want and ready to purchase, but all 3 told me they can't because they are too busy to be bother with. I can clearly see they were standing around doing nothing. Now, I rather wait on amazon at least I don't have to deal with sales who can't be bothered.
David and Miguel from the geek squad were excellent. They dealt with my issue speedily and were very knowledgeable. I really appreciate their expertise and patience with my specific requests and I’m excited to be able to use my computer again!

The guy helped us is really patient. We spend 3 hours to migrate data from our old phone to new one. The problem is on us, we didn't clean up the old phone, neither did we charged it(2% battery), but the guys eventually get all technical issue solved for us and get all our data migrated safely.

took quite a while to get service which was particularly frustrating since we only wanted to see the open box computers which were stored above the stock shelves and not viewable from the ground. othe best buys have boards that list the open box items. once we were helped, the young lady was very informative and helpful. with a small amount of effort incorporating an idea from other Best Buys this would have been 5 stars.

It might just be a sign of the times but Best Buys are a little smaller than they used to be. This one is actually about the normal size, has a big Geek Squad area, and an area to recycle your devices and electronics. They're reasonable selection of items, and let you look and actually touch with Georgie of the things that you were actually interested in like iPhones or computers. That's pretty useful in this day in age of electronic Amazon purchases. The front near where the checkout is has evolved a couple times but generally looks like the Staples actually nearby.
They told me i had a 1 yr protection plan when I was supposed to have 2yrs
I almost walked out of this store with a computer that was not appropriate for me. Luckily, I came upon an employee named Daniel that got me on the right track and even made sure I got a great deal. So intelligent. Thank you Daniel!
This location in my opinion is not ran very efficiently. You go to Geek Squad you're usually waiting just for someone to check you in or address you as a customer. I waited 10 to 15 mins before someone came to ask how they can assist me. I took my computer here and they lost a part from my computer. I went to inquire about it and I was told they would look into it. I went back after no follow up and Miguel took my info down a week or so went by no follow-up. I went back again because I was in the area to.ask for a status on the missing piece.... all I wanted to know is whether they ordered the part or not to replace. The guy Victor said he would call me with an update.... guess what no call. On top of all this you can never get in touch with people from the store. I really don't care for this location. I only go there if I must!

This store provides great service. Recently bought a 77” tv from them and the process was nice and simple. Gustavo sales associate was great. Junior, one of the managers, is awesome. He actually helps and is courteous to the customers all the while being great for the store at the same time. He’s def an asset to Best Buy and shows excellent customer service every time I’ve been there. Outstanding overall store compared to some of the others in the area.

I was looking for an 8 in tablet. Poor displays scattered throughout the store. This made it hard to compare the few they had. I left and will look elsewhere, probably Microcenter, much better and I depth displays and better run.

Their staff was very helpful. I was looking for a modem router combination and they were able to explain very well how the different products work and in what way they were different.
Many products were out of stock when I visited the place. Also some of the staff were behaving very rudely.

One can definitely visit it for electronics. Specially televisions and end user computing. You may find great offers. Look for open box items which are offered at a great price and are basically heavily discounted. Just for reference, I bought my 43 inches smart LG TV for 200 dollars from the open box section. :)

We went in to get a new TV since the one I've had at home got damaged after I sprayed it with Windex. I shopped at the Jersey City store today. The young lady Charisse took her time to explain the pros and cons of the different TVs we were looking at. At one point, i was forced to ask if she was an Engeenering major because she had so much knowledge of the products. We ended up purchasing a 70 inch LG TV and a sound system. Overall, because of Charisse's excellent customer service skills, Papa, Isaac and I had a positive shopping experience and we will definitely shop there again.

I bought a huge box of +7i robot vacuum and no one was able to help around. The cashier was horrible. He told me that “you have 2 hands, carry it out”. Never come back this location again!

I went here for Geek Squad service and the man lacked the knowledge to properly help me but he did ask for assistance. I suggest when you lack knowledge you work on your delivery to customers. The young man less than courteous and was rude. I expect better service and high expectations of how a customer should be treated especially when you are spoken to with respect.
Be carful when purchasing an open box item, try to find as much as posible about why it’s an open box item because they may be very used, couple months ago I bought an open box Sony mirrorless camera and I found out that the shutter count was over 5000 clicks, it’s supposed to be an open box item that hasn’t been used that much, probably was a model that was used as a display.

I went to the geek squad for apple support. My iPhones charging port seems to be loose. They did not even look at my phone and refused to support onsite. When I later went to apple store it was just some lints inside the port. It would have been helpful if they just had a look. The same thing happened with other gentleman in the line. Not sure if they really want to give tech support or just sell stuff. Bad experience!!
