Great surroundings, wonderful opportunity for Apple to have a store here. For us Europeans a curious concept of customer hospitality: you tell a memeber of staff why you are there, and they type it in thier iPhone and then tell you to wait until someone arrives to help you. In the mean time there were five staff members waiting on one side, and a few customers on the other side, but apparently it wasn’t the job of these staff to help the customers so we had to wait for another staff member to arrive. Strange. On the plus side: we arrived fifteen minutes before closing time, but they still took the time to help us and answer all our questions and never gave us the feeling that we had to hurry.

A trillion dollar company with a trillion dollar problem. Took my desktop computer (less than 2 years old) to be troubleshooted. Came home one day and the computer just wouldn't turn on. Turns out it "needs a new hard drive" and I have to go to a third party provider to recover my data. Apple is completely unwilling to help with any of it. So I bought a $2,500 desktop computer that broke in less than 2 years. AND IT BROKE WHILE I WASN'T EVEN HOME. All my files gone. And now Apple tells my I have to spend $1,000 to buy an new hard drive and get a third party to recover the data. Apple overprices second rate equipment that breaks out of thin air and they do nothing to help you. Other than say, "here spend another $1,000 on a brand new computer for us to fix it". Ridiculous.

It took almost 45 minutes for someone to come find me (after I was "in the queue"), but Sam was knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I walked in knowing I was gonna spend $5K on a nee laptop. $4800 later, I have a new lack-daddy Mac, and coulsnt be happier.

Wow this place is so much different from most apple stores. I mean I was in I had to wait for some help. Once the “apple genius” came over I told him I was looking to buy an Apple Watch and he gave me the complete run down and let me know everything I need to and he was just absolutely amazing. I know it’s crazy busy but once you get passed the 10-25min wait the “apple genius” is very thorough on what he/she knows and can communicate that to you. The associates call them selves “apple genius” what’s the only reason I keep putting it in quotes but yeah it’s amazing it’s a true experience.

The staff was very unprofessional. We turned up at 8.40pm and the staff was going back and forth wasting our time and at the end we were told they didn't want to give us a "rushed experience" and assumed we needed more work when buying a new computer than we actually did. When we asked for a manager the member of staff went to ask her to come over but instead she just laughed. She only attended us when we asked for her name. Jessie, step up your game.

Don't bother trying to take pictures from the East balcony unless you are using an apple phone. Tried taking a picture with a Canon DSLR, and was told that photography was not allowed from Apples staircase or balcony.

Normally HATE Apple stores with a burning passion. The number of times I've visited one and had to schedule an appointment with a "genius" to make a purchase is unreal... I have money burning a hole in my pocket and it's like they're oblivious. I've walked out several times and made my iphone purchases from Verizon because those sales guys are hungry to get a phone sale. In any case... this store asked me what I needed, I told them some beats, and they got me in and out within 5 minutes. I WAS BEYOND HAPPY!! How hard is that Apple? The girl that helped me deserved the title genius because she could tell a customer needing to make a purchase needs to get in and out! Not wait for 30+ minutes to be served then to also make a buy.

Brought in a newish MacBook Pro which failed after attempted upgrade to OS Mojave. All - literally all - of the self-proclaimed geniuses didn't have a clue how to handle the issue. They tried restoring using migration assistant and automated methods, all failed. They have NO tracking who does what and when. A new day brings up a new 'genius' who is as clueless as yesterday's. That includes the manager.

I love coming here for all my Apple issues. The staff is super friendly and the location is so comfortable with a food court and restroom downstairs as well as multiple train options within the station! I came here to figure out why my old iMovie files were not working on my new laptop and they were totally able to fix the bug as well as answer other detailed questions that I had! The wait time here isn’t too terrible as long as you come during their less busy hours!

Jake from the Genius Bar was super helpful! I had to get a replacement phone because of issues with the volume buttons and he did everything he could to make sure that I got everything done today and helped me transfer all my photos even though they weren’t backed up. Took longer than I expected, but super worth it.

Interesting retail experience as it’s laid out more akin to a museum than shop. You wander the aisles, browsing curiously at a parade of tablets, phones and watches, as if eyeing monoliths from a lost culture that recorded their history in polished glass. The business end is in the upstairs rooms.

D was fantastic. I was greeted exactly at my appointment time. Had a problem with my iPhoneX and D took care of it so fast and was out of there within 15 minutes. I was dreading going to an Apply Store during tourist season around the holidays and I could not have been more impressed with the entire team, especially D. Would recommend to everyone. Make sure you make an appointment. Plenty were available for same day when I checked around noon.

The things this store has is very impressive unlike other apple stores this store is way less crowded and it also has great apple items that NOT ALL APPLE STORES HAVES making this store efficient and unique it’s also great to take a break for a while by charging your phone or using your laptop to finish whatever you need to, just visit sometime when you can

I was shocked how bad the service was today. Not only did multiple not know about their own products, their attitude was appalling. After asking around questions about connecting my projector to Apple tv, 3-4 people gave answers that made absolutely no sense. Then i found someone who solved my issue. I'm surprised how little the employees know about basic tech like hdmi. Oh well.

Grand Central Terminal is as it is described, On a GRAND SCALE. It is an amazing place to be. There are tours available to visit the underground areas going 6 storoes below ground. The famous clock is known to be a 'meeting place' to join with family in friends coming into the city off the trains. The lower level food court has been completely renovated and is fabulous. Of special mention is ZARO's Bake Shop, family owned bakery from the early 1900's hailing from the Bronx. The breakfast pastries, cookies, muffins, cakes, sandwiches are made fresh daily. My childhood favorite is the Cheese Danish. Scrumptiously delicious! None can compare to the treats that are baked at ZARO's family bakery. Coffee, juices, and freshly made beverages are also available. Service with a smile and very efficient. Many new shops and services, seating area is clean, pleasant, and sufficiently patrolled by the professional and personal NYPD and our National Guard. Check out the Leather Spa where you can get a shine quickly. The Amercian Flag that hangs high gives you a sense of wellbeing, knowing you are in a place where freedom reigns because of our US military and law enforcement whose service and sacrifice leave us eternally grateful, as Amercians. Take the time to enjoy the GCT!

Zero star - Disappointed. The genius bar and customer service - both could use substantial learning and improvement. Do not pretend to help if you really don't want to. Making the customers wait for an hour and talking to your colleagues while they wait does not qualify as good customer service. Not recommended.

The Apple Store is a great place to try all of Apple’s products and accessories. Specialists will take the time to answer questions and set up new Apple products. There are workshops where you can learn new things. By visiting the Genius Bar you can get hands-on technical support. It's the largest Apple flagship store in NYC. The staff are friendly and helpful. Located in a great location; quite busy so pack your patience

I had some trouble finding this place, but it didn’t turn out to be difficult once I knew where to look. Go into the main hall and look to the balcony. You’ll see a set of stairs with the Apple symbol and there it is. This is a fairly busy store, as you can imagine. It’s convenient and has a lot of product. I was very impressed with how well the staff maintained their poise and customer service while faced with the chaos of the lunch crowd. They had a pretty orderly process to handle people’s questions as well as wait for product that they purchased. I was quite pleased with my visit.

Waited for over an hour and a half past our appointment time (not to mention the 2+ hours on the phone with AppleCare the night prior) to deal with iPhone XS and XS Max connectivity issues - a problem which has been heavily reported and was even acknowledged by the guy who checked us in at the Genius Bar (he also recently upgraded). Our 'Genius' shrugged us off and said 'I've never heard of anyone reporting these problems before. There's nothing I can really do for you, etc' - all in a rude, incredulous, unhelpful and generally dismissive manner. I would have expected far better customer service - massively frustrated and disappointed as both a longtime Apple loyalist and shareholder.

The tech who looked at my phone was well versed as to why it may be giving problems even though the diagnostics came back clean. Gave me some tricks and pointers to try. Solved the problem with some outside the box thinking. He explained the solution easily. It’s crowded of course but was worth the wait.

For all the marketing that Apple does the details on this one Apple has gotten wrong. Apple has placed its stores including its flagship one in New York City but as the saying goes details matter. First off the organisation of the appointments and service is exactly what I would have expected from Apple but that's where issues stop. I've brought an old IPhone 6 to replace a failed battery, which I would have expected to be a fairly routine thing but apparently it's not. So let's start from the beginning. After arriving for my appointment and checking in I was met by an associate almost right away, which gives the points but one would make him to be just a tech and not someone working for Apple if not for the shirt. The testing and diagnostics were fairly routine but then the issues started I was led to believe that the replacement of a battery would only take 2 hours and I would get the phone back the same day but apparently there were no batteries on hand. So I would have expected that they would just take a phone and hold it until the replacement battery arrives do the replacement and then just have me pick it up. That is not the case the way the process works is they order a part email me that the part had arrived and then I would have to bring the phone in to get it replaced. That felt strange but Ok. So I received an email from Apple confirming that they have the part around 2pm even though I was there 2 hours before I was expecting the part to arrive the following day or something but I guess not and the part is either in another Apple store or some local warehouse but why do techs not know this is beyond me. If you are providing a repair service it would one of the very first things you have to take care of (logistics). So I came back a couple days later to get the battery replaced dropped a phone off, which was fairly quick but was surprised that a girl that took my phone had a box that was the size of the phone in her hand rather than a smaller box which I would have expected to hold a battery. So in an hour I get a call to come pick up the phone when I get there I am being told that a bracket holding the battery broke and I am getting a replacement phone. I didn't complain because I didn't care but still I am not exactly an idiot and I have watched a video on how the battery is replaced and I can't shake a feeling that noone actually wanted to replace my battery but just to give me a replacement phone but if that is the case why go through all this charade to do that. Anyhow got me a different working phone. Restored everything and now back to operational phone but still. Another point that stands out about this store is that other than IPad tablets for work and Apple shirts people who work there don't seem to wear or use any other Apple gear. What exactly does it tell the customer? Are you so cheap that you can't afford to use your employees as marketing tools, which is what they are supposed to be or do the employees actually know something about the gear that we the customers don't? I mean it's one of the best real estate locations in the city make it work.

I love coming here for all my Apple issues. The staff is super friendly and the location is so comfortable with a food court and restroom downstairs as well as multiple train options within the station! I came here to figure out why my old iMovie files were not working on my new laptop and they were totally able to fix the bug as well as answer other detailed questions that I had! The wait time here isn’t too terrible as long as you come during their less busy hours!

Rating is for the store. Make sure if you call them to check something, you do it twice and different intervals. Not necessarily the person who is answering your call is knowledgeable and may end up giving wrong info. Yesterday i bought an ipad, Experience was superb, the person helped me understand lot of stuff and also encouraged me to sign up for the business client. But Then I realised they gave me wrong keyboard of some other model. This morning i called them to check whether it will work for the ipad I purchased coz i could read some articles saying ipad pro is the name on ipad air keyboard box. The person on the call. Clearly said no it has to be changed. Cost me two hours of time with 40$ conveyance. I go to the store and they say oh it will work for your iPad because that how it is as of now. New boxes of keyboard for ipad air are yet to be printed. Complete negligence. No attempt to compensate the loss on account of their ineffiencies

I had to get a replacement phone because of issues with the volume buttons and he did everything he could to make sure that I got everything done today and helped me transfer all my photos even though they weren’t backed up. I had to post a review for this location. My Iphone X was giving me some trouble and the screen was not responding AT ALL. So I went to the Grand Central location for assistance. I have to admit I was a little confused at first on who to go to ( I must have slipped through the greeters) but after a point in the right direction I was all set to make a walk-in appointment. After 10 minutes I was able to check in, my phone was assesed and taken for repair (free). I was nervous because water damage is not covered and I didnt want to fork up the expensive fee. But after 2 hours my phone was all set and I was ready to go. No issues on my end. Everyone I spoke with was respectful and knowlegable. No complaints at all :)

Disorganized and the air of apple arrogance is prevalent EVERYWHERE!!! only decent group of apple employees is the upper west side location. What the benefit of buying online and store pickup if you make me wait in a line for over 31 minutes just to look at my email and then wait 20 more minutes to have it brought out when I could just walk in grab of shelf and pay at register!!! My 16 year old brother went to return AirPods at this location at around 6:40pm on 3/23/19. He was told that the store was closing. The store closes at 7 pm. I do not understand why he was turned away.I can understand if he needed a repair or was ordering a phone..... Fortunately, the 5th ave store is 24 hrs and he was able to return the item with no issues. Side note, the reason for returning the AirPods because there is an updated model. I will order his AirPods “2 “online. I will never go or recommend Grand Central. Bad customer service.

Not much experienced sales personell - specially if you want to use/ take your device abroad. I got the clear information that Phone and Watch will work in Europe - but the watch doesn't. I am trying to reach someone there for help - as i was told by the support hotline and no one answered so far. I am travelling and can not return it in the US within the 14 days limit. Somehow this is not what i expect from Apple when you buy less technology for 3times the price. For this service i can go to a Mii store. Update after 3 Weeks: Have called and send approx. 10 Mails - no answer at all - no support.

They ran diagnostics on my phone, reassured me that everything was ok and even sent me an email for troubleshooting on my own should the issue persist. Their prices are... well Apple prices though, the only draw-back.

The things this store has is very impressive unlike other apple stores this store is way less crowded and it also has great apple items that NOT ALL APPLE STORES HAVES making this store efficient and unique it’s also great to take a break for a while by charging your phone or using your laptop to finish whatever you need to, just visit sometime when you can

There are workshops where you can learn new things. By visiting the Genius Bar you can get hands-on technical support. It's the largest Apple flagship store in NYC. The staff are friendly and helpful. Located in a great location; quite busy so pack your patience

I had to post a review for this location. My Iphone X was giving me some trouble and the screen was not responding AT ALL. So I went to the Grand Central location for assistance. I have to admit I was a little confused at first on who to go to ( I must have slipped through the greeters) but after a point in the right direction I was all set to make a walk-in appointment. After 10 minutes I was able to check in, my phone was assesed and taken for repair (free). I was nervous because water damage is not covered and I didnt want to fork up the expensive fee. But after 2 hours my phone was all set and I was ready to go. No issues on my end. Everyone I spoke with was respectful and knowlegable. No complaints at all :)

Best Apple Store experience I’ve ever had. The Grand Central Store is well laid out & convenient. Service is fast & friendly. They fixed the issue I brought my device in for as well as another cosmetic issue under my AppleCare warranty. Their estimate was 7-10 days and my device was repaired in 6 days. Had been getting very frustrated with Apple’s customer service, but this experience really made up for a lot of my negative ones.

D was fantastic. I was greeted exactly at my appointment time. Had a problem with my iPhoneX and D took care of it so fast and was out of there within 15 minutes. I was dreading going to an Apply Store during tourist season around the holidays and I could not have been more impressed with the entire team, especially D. Would recommend to everyone. Make sure you make an appointment. Plenty were available for same day when I checked around noon.

Interesting retail experience as it’s laid out more akin to a museum than shop. You wander the aisles, browsing curiously at a parade of tablets, phones and watches, as if eyeing monoliths from a lost culture that recorded their history in polished glass. The business end is in the upstairs rooms.

One of not many representatives that genuinely cared that we leave the store satisfied with the purchase and all set ups in place that sometimes could be painful. For example, some of the pictures in my old phone were not backed up properly to ICloud as such were not transferred over to the new phone after activation. Grand Central Terminal is as it is described, On a GRAND SCALE. It is an amazing place to be. There are tours available to visit the underground areas going 6 storoes below ground. The famous clock is known to be a 'meeting place' to join with family in friends coming into the city off the trains. The lower level food court has been completely renovated and is fabulous. Of special mention is ZARO's Bake Shop, family owned bakery from the early 1900's hailing from the Bronx. The breakfast pastries, cookies, muffins, cakes, sandwiches are made fresh daily. My childhood favorite is the Cheese Danish. Scrumptiously delicious! None can compare to the treats that are baked at ZARO's family bakery. Coffee, juices, and freshly made beverages are also available. Service with a smile and very efficient. Many new shops and services, seating area is clean, pleasant, and sufficiently patrolled by the professional and personal NYPD and our National Guard. Check out the Leather Spa where you can get a shine quickly. The Amercian Flag that hangs high gives you a sense of wellbeing, knowing you are in a place where freedom reigns because of our US military and law enforcement whose service and sacrifice leave us eternally grateful, as Amercians. Take the time to enjoy the GCT!

Blocking your path, taking selfies...stupid stuff, but that place is huge, filled with tourists and all those bodies with barely any fresh air makes Grand Central Terminal and the Apple store unbearably hot. I was close to passing out in there. They tell you to expect to be there for at least 45 minutes. We were only there about 20, which is not bad AT ALL. Especially for a Saturday at 6pm. But we do have to go back. Problem not solved. I would suggest going there. With a cool drink.

I was shocked how bad the service was today. Not only did multiple not know about their own products, their attitude was appalling. After asking around questions about connecting my projector to Apple tv, 3-4 people gave answers that made absolutely no sense. Then i found someone who solved my issue. I'm surprised how little the employees know about basic tech like hdmi. Oh well.

I went there around 5 pm to change the battery of my iPhone and was able to speak with Franklin just after 6pm. He was arrogant and while I was signing in on my device he turned his back to me and decided to have a conversation with one of his colleagues. One star for Franklin. He told me to pick up the phone at 7pm. Much better experience I had with the guy that did the repair. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Five stars for him.

Grand Central Station is the most beautiful place architecture saved by Jackie Kennedy it is a treasure of our city that we should protect and we should maintain and had it has been brought into such a Splenda and Beauty it is an absolute work of art in its own right. We are lucky to have it we are lucky that it was saved it was going to be torn down never ever again will that idea ever come regarding Grand Central Station in fact I go even further I think the Great post office on 34th Street should be turned into Penn Station. There was a plan to do this and it was not done but so let's see what they do in the future. I had some trouble finding this place, but it didn’t turn out to be difficult once I knew where to look. Go into the main hall and look to the balcony. You’ll see a set of stairs with the Apple symbol and there it is. This is a fairly busy store, as you can imagine. It’s convenient and has a lot of product. I was very impressed with how well the staff maintained their poise and customer service while faced with the chaos of the lunch crowd. They had a pretty orderly process to handle people’s questions as well as wait for product that they purchased. I was quite pleased with my visit.
