FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS. THEY PROMISE STUFF FOR PICK UP AND WHEN YOU COME TO THE STORE THEY REFUSE TO GIVE THE ITEM BECAUSE OF SYSTEM ERROR. PLEASE DONT ORDER ANYTHING HERE!!!!!!!! I ordered AirPods for my brother, we paid for it , and it was saying available for pick up today. We came here to the store and they are not available, they have the AirPods on the stock and they refused to give them to us. Very bad service, we called costumer service and they were very rude saying if you want to cancel your order we can give you the money back in next 5 business days. Very disappointed with this store, very bad service. Wasted my time and have to wait 5 days to get my money back.

I went into the store to upgrade my iPhone to the latest 11pro max. I called the store to see if the phone was available. I was told it is and I’m able to upgrade thru the store. I arrived at the store about 11pm. I waited and waited to be helped, while all the phone techs assistant customer and some are just standing around. I then walked over to a young lady for assistance. I told her what I needed and she then went over to another tech and Exchanged some words. Come to find out AT&T can’t be upgraded after 9pm.. this didn't sound right to me so I then called AT&T and of course they told me that not true. AT&T then offered to upgrade to the latest model while I was on the phone. I said ok. I then go back to the same tech and told her I have AT&T on the phone. Her story changed to “we don’t sell iPhone after a certain time”. So i said ok and left the store. I felt real uncomfortable so I called Apple corporate to find out if the information I was provided was true. As per Apple the info I was told is not true at all. I’m sorry and I hate to use these words but the Apple on 5th ave racially profiled paying customers. This is not fair and it’s not ok.

For imagery alone, the Apple Cube is one of the prettiest things I've ever seen in Manhattan. Set aside any challenges inside and just remain outside looking at the Cube. Order your stuff on-line and avoid all the Apple snottiness, but take a moment to let the light bounce off the glass to your lenses delight. It's truely a work of art, we all know this. Recommended

Massive Fifth Av location, not real disabilities friendly but managed. Class was cancelled but got set up with individuals that were quite helpful, probably worked better for a first time iPhone owner. Jerry was extremely helpful

The experience was great I preordered and payed for the New Iphone 11 max pro before coming. And set it up for pick up I scheduled it by 12:30 and I arrived by 12:15 .They Take you and put you in a separate line until your time since I was the first one there I got to be servered first they were helpful and asked me if I wanted to set it up there. But I decided I could do it at home and left in total the time it took for me to be in and Out was 15 mins at most , very helpful and I will do it next time I need to get an upgrade.

Worst Apple store experience. This store is a circus with no ringleader. Apple's tourist trap. During peak hours they only have two people checking in customers at Genius Bar except, wait, there is no Genius bar. So be prepared to ask 10 people where to find these two workers who are dressed like every other employee in the store and search for them in nondescript location. Then be prepared to wait 20 mins after your scheduled appointment before anyone comes to help you. One of two workers came over to check in with me after I went to verify I was checked in. He was very nice, as was the employee who eventually helped me. The new iphone was recently released so this may be contributing but even still.

The store is amazing and when you get someone to help you it's great.but sadly they seem to be understaffed even for a Wednesday midnight hour. There was long waiting lines and you really had to wait for someone to attend to you. The staff that was assigned was also not very knowledgeable

She was super friendly, explained everything we needed to know and always had that friendly smile. We absolutely loved her, she made the whole experience so much better! I took my Mac book pro for repair, they couldn’t even find out what was wrong with the computer they first told me that was motherboard but when I checked it I found out it was screen which I had replaced just 1.5 years ago and Although there was no Crack On the screen then costumer rep. put that down as crack screen. to sum up what ever your problem is they will find a reason to blame you for the issue.

If you need help don’t go there, this is just a saling place. After installing ios 13.1.2 I had an issue with mail (lost icons), and was happy and proud to be in New York and be able to go to that store (I am from FRANCE). In fact I wasted my holiday time, caught in a « support » proccess totally desorganised (not the nice welcoming staff). I left thinking that I should also leave Apple.

Great store! The best apple store I have ever seen and experienced. I like store atmosphere and the entrance to the Apple Store. Service is excellent and staff is very friendly ,attentive, patient and also could solve the most of your inquiries and issue. I love the interior of the store as well as the lighting system. The final point is that, the amount of tourist in the shop blew my mind, but still the service was fantastic.

Really good experience in this place almost 10 years ago, back when apple was awesome. I remember getting into this store and being amazed by the architecture and products. I bought a pair of headphones and the team of people were super friendly, helpful and professional. I've been using my iPhone for 3 years now and I'm desperate to change it, and would love to go back to this store and purchase it. But the truth is that I find the new iPhones dreadful, that notch is simply unbearable to me. Hope they get the design right once again.

Long wait despite having an appointment, some staff are nice and helpful but not all. Like DMV workers but with God complexes. And shameful that there’s no bathroom available to customers. Plus despite paying for the Apple care, they charge you for repairs. I’m not sure why Apple has its excellent reputation, This isn’t the first time I’ve been unimpressed. But it’s my own fault for buying their products.

A beautiful all glass building. You have to see it if you're at 5th Avenue. Apart from apple products, they also have a nice collection of audio accessories on upper deck. I am a tourist here, and so visiting the place was a privilege, even though I didn't intend to buy anything. What I didn't like is that the apple watches and mobile phones weren't marked with names so sometimes it was difficult figuring out which model it is. Oh, and mac pro is a work of art!!

What customer service? My son went there on July 28 and found out he had a defective product. He was to receive a replacement as it was still under warranty but they didn’t have any in stock. He was told it will take 5 to 7 business days. After waiting for 10 business days he called and was told that its on back order and will take longer. “Maybe next week” was what he was told. They’re not even sure. Really??? After all this wait?? My son’s been waiting desperately and they didn’t bother to at least let us know? They have all our contact information. If they can’t cover a defective product still under warranty in a reasonable time like 10 business days, couldn’t they just replace it with any similar products? I’m not asking for free upgrade here but then don’t make us wait forever. Now I know this was a VERY conditional warranty all along. I’m just so upset and disappointed with their customer service. Learn from Samsung and BOSE when it comes to replacements.

The Apple Store on Fifth Avenue is a great store and a great tourist destination for so many reasons. This is Apple’s flagship store & it’s right by Central Park. Architecturally speaking, I like the glass box entrance (even though it does remind me of a Borg Cube). I also love that this store is open 24 hours, so if you keep odd hours (like me), you can come here and not have to wait so long for help. I came here first during the afternoon, but wasn’t prepared for the crowds, so a came in after 2 in the morning and it was kinda surreal cuz I’m not used to making large financial transactions in the middle of the night without worrying if I’m going to be arrested… I got the iPhone that I wanted in the color I wanted with no problem!

This location is great for trying new products before you make your selection. You are assigned a team member who will walk around with you and answer any questions, then they check out your purchase on the spot which is really convenient. If you go late in the day the people hanging around to charge their phones can be an issue while you are trying to make your selection. There are a few of each item on display so person walking around with you can usually show you to another one on display that you may not have noticed. This location is also great for repairs, though my experience has been that you have to check in with them. Twice they lost my reservation, but after checking the confirmation that I had received they worked to fix the issue and get me out the door in the same amount of time it would have been if everything went perfectly.

Two stars just for the costumers service that try to help, but for Apple itself I would give no stars. Previously I asked apple to recover my account and they made such a big deal about it up to close my account permanently which made me switch to Android and so happy with my decision. Today I went there to help a friend of mine to recover his account, and guess what, they came up with the solution that makes us wait 14 day so they can verify the account. What in hell do they need to verify for 2 weeks, are they getting a lawyer and go to court? So irresponsible of people's need, my friend can lose his business since he can't access to any of the client's numbers or addresses saved into the apple account. I would suggest to everyone I know and anyone seing this message, Move to Android and you'll be much happier.

The redesigned Apple Store on 5th Ave NYC is an Oasis. The spiral staircase that goes around the elevator is beautifully built. Aside from the lighting fixtures; the daylight from circular cut outs in the ceiling fill the room. There are also real trees and plants in the middle of the store as well as along the walls where there are seating areas. While you sit, you can also charge your phone as you’ll find chargers next to the seats. Outside the Apple store there are circular metallic seats on both sides of the Glass Store entrance. You can see the mirror image of the surrounding buildings on these seats. Apple seems to continue to put out brilliant ideas and awe us.

When could not face the fact that they made mistakes and provided me with wrong instructions, they sent a person could “Zoe” to dismiss me . She was the worst . Very rude . The level of apathy amongst the staff was shockingly high. I had a trade-in that was inspected and ok'd but when I returned a week later after receiving the phone's replacement, they said they changed their policy a few days ago and won't be accepting the phone. Once presented with the situation, two separate employees had said "this was not their problem". Very uncomfortable experience.

I visited the Apple 5th Avenue store on it’s opening day, which coincided with the release of the new iPhone 11 series. Needless to say, there was a very long wait, over two hours, to get inside the store. The people on the line had pre-ordered phones and I expected fast service, but in reality it took 15-20 minutes to complete each phone purchase. I am hopeful Apple can devise an Express Line for people who just want to pick up their phone and leave without going through the setup /activation process at the store. Anyway, I am writing this positive review because once I entered the store via a beautiful spiral staircase, I was greeted with a truly beautiful experience. The underground space is airy and well lit. The skylights are an excellent touch. There are many trees with seats around them and a wall of fern-like greenery, making this store feel like it’s not in Manhattan. There is a large high quality video presentation screen with ample seating. In the center is a shiny round chrome elevator which also has the effect of reflecting everything around the store. It was worth waiting outdoors to have such a non-crowded experience indoors. The store carries ample stock of all the latest items, including Apple Watch Hermes and the new iphones. Everything is laid out beautifully and I felt very relaxed once inside the store. Apple did an excellent job with the interior design of it’s iconic 5th Avenue store. I am impressed. I highly recommend a visit.

Quite a few employees here look like they’re just here to socialize. I couldn’t get a diagnostic done on my phone, after it shutdown unexpectedly, because they’re standing around talking to each other endlessly. Even after asking multiple employees for help, I was shuffled off to other employees and finally got fed up and left. At least the first guy we talked to at the door was helpful, but after that, forget it.

He was really patient and offered me all variants possible, and then with the help of his manager Kevin, found the best solution! Great team! Apple is the best company, best service, best products! I called the apple care customer service, it's really long wait on the phone to get someone and the line disconnected easily. The voice quality is not good during the phone call. Today 07/15/2019 I came to the apple store to check my phone which had some problems. But Their service is sucks! Misinformations lead long wait. Very frustrating! Reserved a phone online today and arrived in time for my pick up window. Ended up speaking to three different associates before any of them could figure out how to find my order in their system. Left an HOUR later and guy helping me didn’t even know how to complete the transaction. I work in a busy retail store too so I get that it’s busy. But interviewing employees for months before hiring them and then they don’t even know how to deliver a product? Ridiculous. Every associate you speak to will send you to wait in a different area. There are no signs so you can’t blame the customers for being confused and angry. Maybe properly train your associates before dropping them clueless in the busiest location. Would rate one star but the plants inside looked nice so fine I’ll raise it to two.

For the most part the customer service is helpful and kind but sometimes you get the feeling that they don't want to be with the customer. For the average apple customer, I would personally recommend a smaller store. The smaller size and smaller ratio of employees to customers just makes it a better experience overall

1.5 - 2 hour wait from the time on your reservation and that's only if you have a reservation, and at best mediocre support. Apple has really dropped very low sadly. The lines are either incompetence or a marketing ploy taking advantage of their users for a little free press. :(

It's a Signature store with limitations-serious one's. I got my Mac book pro from here a year ago. Then they renovated. It just opened last week with release of iPhone 11 family. Now it's open 24 hours*; 24 hours but they stop selling, or transactions stop at 11pm. You can not buy here between 11pm and 8 AM. That is the limitation. If you are a visitor who doesn't want to wait in line during the day to buy something from here, if floor some reason it's convenient for you to come here at midnight to surprise your wife with a gift, or if it just works out for you to get an apple product after hours and want to get it from store instead of online; you can't do that here. Solution; order it and schedule it for pick up here at midnight between 11pm to 8am an you will avoid all the waiting and get a magnificent view of a portion of Manhattan at night- no traffic but be safe. Our trip was useless, employees were repeatedly sorry but it didn't make much difference because I wanted to get my wife the iPhone 11, whichever she chooses and off hours were the only ones that would work for us but we ended up eating our time and smiling my surprise and not able to get it for her. I hope the review helps. Make a reservation if you want to pick up after hours.

What a bammer. They make you have to wait to go into the store. And they are no real lines. Apple tries to upscale just by making it difficult to get to them, though for a company like Apple you get the feeling that this is the beginning of the end.

Okay I tried to get in over the opening weekend and I was prepared to buy a new iPhone MAX Pro and Ceramic Edition Apple Watch 5 but due to the 2.5 hour wait I decided to walk away. I couldn’t understand why there wasn’t two lines, people that were going into just walk around vs customers ready to purchase. Oh well, lesson learned.

Went to get Mac repaired at genius bar, it was busy and they still managed to accommodate me within few mins, employees were super helpful, took care of the issue and shipped it to my home within 2 days despite the standard 3-5 business days turnaround that was communicated. Talk about surprise and delight.

Easy to see right off of 5th Avenue servicing Midtown and the adjoining areas of Manhattan. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. New York City prices so bring your credit cards. Staff is nice. We will definitely be going back.

Exceptional staff and management team. my daughter was at the store in the middle of her mid-terms and her computer was not rebooting. The staff and Management team works around clock in assisting her with her issue. Next day I get a phone call that is ready and to be picked up. The staff is exceptional. Carter was the genius that worked on the laptop and he really hit out of the park. Bravo!!!!

They aren't all given the same training so on any given day you'll get different information from different technicians. I feel like Starbucks does a much better job at training and they're job isn't as cool as working at the genius bar. Experience was horrible and I felt like they treated me like I was lying because he's kept saying " that's not what we do" .

This store gets really busy. I went for an iPhone issue. There were no appointments available on their website so i ended up walking in. They said the wait was 40 minutes so i was put on the walk-in list. Stepped out and received a text message 15 min before my name was to be called and then started walking back to the store. They really operate efficiently here. Update: New Apple store looks amazing. So much bigger, bright, and same amazing staff.

They Always have every apple product in stock. last three months i went there to get my AirPods, i was searching for them in multiple apple stores, but all of them were out of stock in which they recommended me to order online. Apple fifth Avenue was my last choice, as soon as i went inside the customers service employees were too friendly and guided me to get my new airpods. The experience there to me was amazing I highly recommended.

It's sort of an iconic location at this point. Go here, take some Instagram pics, show your apple-loving friends back home what a worldly person you are. They'll be jealous, even though they can buy the exact same stuff anywhere. Works every time.

I went to this store on a week day and was not so crowded. The attention was really good and I found what I was looking, in my case was IPhone X cases. In my opinion is the main store in New York City so if you are looking for Apple products you must go there first. Enjoy it!

Terrible service, the people who prepaid an iPhone and scheduled pick up time should stay and wait outside about three hours to get inside. However, some people who just walked by just get inside right away and a few people from the line who has impudence just went inside. What the point to allow people to make an appointment on specific hour if you cannot make it.

Useless staff and long waiting times. They make you feel like you don’t understand while you just want to explain yourself. They all have script and customer service is the least of their concerns. Just go to Apple Williamsburg is much better.

I really enjoy going to this store. If can be a bit busy, and the recent construction makes it harder to find. For that reason, I can't give it the five stars it usually deserves. I also prefer the store at Grand Central for both convenience and appearance.

An amazing Apple Store. Very big, well placed and on two floors. You can buy a lot of things. Of course Apple devices but also DJI products, BEATS headsets, Philips Hue etc. People there are very kind and helpful. If you need any advice, don't hesitate to ask them, they will help you very well.

I was at Apple Fifth Avenue in NYC today, and I had the best experience. Justin and David, store managers were amazing. I love all of my Apple products, but when you get great service, you love your devices more. Being in a service business, I understand how important service is. Horrible service. They didn’t care about my problem and blamed the problem on me. I went in again to fix my battery drainage problem because the technician I had 2 days ago told me if there was anymore problems, to come to the store again and they would have another solution for me. This time, The check in person was rude and said it was my fault and for using my phone too much when I only use it to listen to music and I also told them that the battery dies in 4-5 hours but they said that that’s because I use it intensely. I barely have anything on my phone. Very unsatisfied. Some technicians are nice but today, I met two that were very impatient and rude. They just blamed the problem on me.Before I got a battery change, I could probably use it for a day but every since I changed the batteries, I would only use it for 3 hours. The second time I went in, they changed it and now it lasts 4-5 hours but it’s still not much so I went in and the technicians were just blaming it on me.
