We recently brought a damaged hard drive to Capitol Computer to see if they could recover our data. This type of situation is never a guarantee, and often the data can be lost forever. The folks at Capitol Computer used several programs to attempt this recovery, finally succeeding in recovering over 45 GB of data from the hard drive, although only about 60% of the data was actually viable. Still, perseverance furthers! We were very pleased with the service and professionalism at Capitol Computer. This was a multi-week process and the CC techs were in close communication throughout. We will definitely return there with computer challenges in the future!

This is not your typical Santa Fe business. They are professional, organized, careful, and really care about customer service. Erik installed a new hard drive on my iMac. I took it home and it had major issues. I took it back and he removed it and installed another one, no questions asked, with a guarantee that there would be no charge if it didn't work. It now works perfectly; it was a defective hard drive. They are truly "The Best of Santa Fe"!

They didn't charge me for looking at my computer at all. I had to ask them if I could pay them a tip because I was so grateful. My computer just stopped working. Turned out to be a storage issue (I didn't have any free space on my disk). I could have easily remedied it myself, but the last I checked I has 100 GBs free so I didn't think that could be the issue. Eric at Capitol Computer installed this program for free that shows what is taking up your storage and helped me understand that it was an adobe premiere file. He also informed me that iphoto items were not deleted after they were transferred to photo (mac's new photo app), and so that erased another 135 GBs. In the end I walked out with a fully functional computer and didn't have to pay a cent. They have a good process in place for working through customers, they are fast, and they are affordable.

These guys are fantastic. They know what they are doing, unlike many computer shops. They spent lots of time working on my computer only to determine it was toast. I was not charge a thing for their time and effort. I bought a new one at Best Buy, but they were expensive to transfer my data onto the new one. If I need something tweaked (even after I have picked my computer up), it is handled quickly and correctly. Erik has been my go-to person. Capitol Computer came to the rescue and managed to retrieve all of my files and replaced the old hard drive with a better one and replaced the Microsoft software that was lost. Until recently I had a Dell Optiplex 7020 computer with Windows 7. Although, the system was working very well it would have been five years old in January 2020 and therefore could no longer be covered by Dell assistance or a warranty. Also, I wanted to get Windows 10 to ensure I would have continued support from Microsoft. I accordingly decided to buy a new Dell business Computer, an Optiplex 7060, with Windows 10. I started planning for the installation about 6-9 months prior to when the new computer, printer etc. were actually acquired. I had frequent cost-free telephone consultations with Sarah at Capitol Computer and she helped guide me with planning for the purchases and installation. Eventually, she and I met for a two-hour free consultation to finalize all the details. Sarah is very pleasant work with and also very knowledgeable The actual 3-1/2 hour installation was performed professionally by William at a very reasonable cost and I was very satisfied with the installation. I think Capitol Computer does an excellent job and I have no hesitation in recommending them for anyone with computer problems or requirements.

I'd like to say how impressed I was with Frank and the communication and attention given me in regard to fixing my computer and replacing a malfunctioning motherboard. The day before Thanksgiving, I called with a problem with a printer that had stopped printing just one color. All the online HP suggestions had not worked. Frank suggested a simple way to clean a probable ink clog -- which worked perfectly. What a great company to work with. My computer had a serious virus that prevented all my virus scans and install/reinstall from working, prevented Windows from updating and caused files to corrupt. Capitol delivered fast fantastic service. They came out to my home and tried to fix the issue on site, first, then took my computer back to their shop. They managed to save all my data and restore my system to full working order, and I did not even have to reload all the software - they did that. This was the best computer repair experience I ever had, and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this company.

After installing the latest, faster Xfinity Modem | Router, the Ethernet feed to my computer in my office curiously went silent. After three separate Xfinity technicians failed to pinpoint the issue, I guessed that it probably had something to do with the network wiring to my office. So, based on the reviews, I called in Capitol Computer & Network Solutions and they came out the same day. William Ivey arrived and went to work checking out the wiring and wall plates. Sure enough, there was an open at one of the wall plates, which William fixed. Then, using arguably state-of-the-art test equipment, William continued checking to be sure that was all, and he even re-terminated the other end of the Ethernet wire, given that it was originally terminated by the same person during a remodeling project. The whole process took less than an hour, and I have had no issues since. I am very satisfied that I called in Capitol Computer & Network Solution and I am sure that would go for anyone else.

I have been in Santa Fe for over 15 years, and finally found "Capital Computer" highly recommended by my neighbor in La Tierra Dave Nelson. I had two problem lap tops, a Sony Vaio and Dell XPS. Both had battery, flickering problems. The team starting with Sarah who checked me into the shop, and Angela who figured out the problems with the battery on the Vaio, plus Brian who worked on the Vaio and the Dell were fantastic. What was nice, unlike the other shops I have visited, was that the technician actually showed you what they did to the machine, and explain the fix. After I got my computer, had to return a few time, but they fixed the problem without any further charge. I think I have talked to Johny and other technicians at the shop-all are helpful, friendly - fantastic! They know what they are doing! I have never had to take any computers (work or personal) that I've had over my many years in to be worked on until last molnth. I looked on the internet and found Capitol Computers who said bring it right in and they started checking on it. I received email updates which I appreciated. Eric called me and let me know that they were working on diagnosing the issue and would call me & give me a quote. Eric worked until very late that night to figure it out. It was a cooling issue that would immediately shut down my laptop. They gave me a quote which was extremely reasonable and ordered the part.
