Every-time I've been here the service has been pretty good. Yes, sometimes they are super–extremely busy, but they're Apple so it's expected. Make sure you reserve your appointment at the genius bar if you need to fix or bring in something, or you won't be able to get seen that day.

This store is really understaffed for the amount of customers they have. I got an appointment and they told me to wait two hours. Went back two hours later and they said it would be another hour. Waited around uptown for a bit before I walked in and they said my appointment was cancelled. I asked why it was they didn’t know why. I had to firmly tell them I couldn’t wait another two hours after waiting since 10 am before they said we will see you in 30 minutes. Albuquerque needs to open another branch somewhere to dilute the amount of customers because the front staff and greeters are overloaded and the customers receive the end result of it. Love the products, the genius staff was helpful and kind, by the time you get to service though it can be a very rough process.

They got a great product but they have terrible customer service bought an iPhone X not happy simply went in after I spoke to customer service on the phone about getting iPhone 6s Plus glass fixed. Was told because it was under one year that the cost for glass replacement for Apple after waiting a week and a half in an hour in the store come to find out it’s 179 and the rep on the phone that works supposedly for the same company was incorrect yet they do not discuss prices with each other nor on do they guarantee what they say on the phone this is a big joke ! Sad world we live in

Always busy here- most of the time I get good service- I've purchased thousands of dollars worth of apple products from this store- I like this store because it's not in a mall- and this one is surrounded by some good spots to eat or drink.They do classes here and more.The best Apple store in New Mexico for sure

Been inspecting their service on purpose for this review and I’m glad to say that the Genius Bar is up to Apple’s company guidelines. Check in was successful all four times and the genius employees know their guidelines and policies. They know when to approve and when to decline service on Apple Products. Manager is really nice and shows professionalism when interacting with a customer. Yes, this Apple Store is very busy at times, but customer service is still really good compared to other Apple Stores I’ve visited like the one in El Paso and the one in Chandler AZ.

I didn’t have a good experience here. Arrived around 2pm at a busy time of the store. I was not acknowledged by any representative. Some were busy and some seemed preoccupied, rushed and totally un engaging. I ended up having to flag someone down to get his attention- wait time was 1.5 hours- Came back around 3 to check in. Still the same experience, I had to personally go and gets someone’s attention to check in- was informed to to go to Genius Bar and wait for a tech. The wait seemed longer than expected so I had to flag another rep to make sure I was going to receive service. Tech seemed knowledgeable, my phones problem was something he wasn’t certain of. I already came from Apple in Tucson who deemed my phone “needed to be replaced” since I could not back up thru icloud successfully and even inserting it to the PC it sometime detected and sometime would not. In general with the lack of communication, service expectation and pricing and time of stay at this store I am beyond frustrated. I alerted the manager who as well seemed like I was wasting his time told me who wasn’t able to comment since he has no primary observation on my experience and wished me an apology. I expect top dollar service for an establishment like this! Sadly only to receive below than mediocre service and unresolved issue. I hope they can Improve on how they handle busy days and customer expectations. The tech I had was personable and friendly but since he was off and I was still in the middle of saving unbackable photos to my PC he added me back to the Queue and I had to repeat the whole process with no one aware on what issues I had with my phone prior to the tech helping me before. Turns out I had to file a warranty exchange thru my carrier instead of having to pay 349 for a replacement. I’m beyond frustrated for wasting 4 hours here.

Apple needs get their store and employees better trained! Made an appointment over the phone and they never scheduled it. Went in because I had to charge my phone 4 times a day. They said my battery was fine and 45 days later it was dead. I love Apple products but this store sucks!!! And their phone customer service is jut as bad. Going to go elsewhere to get a new battery.

I made an appointment for 8:00 pm because I had malware on my MacBook. 20 minutes prior to my appointment time I received a text reminder. I arrived a few minutes early and was immediately greeted, assured that the problem could be easily rectified. They quickly took care of it, removing the malware. It all took about 10 minutes. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Super happy with my experience. Came in with a broken Air charger. A new one would cost $80, but there was only one tiny piece that was actually broken. The geniuses were able to change out the piece for $8! Not only did I save on money, but reduced the waste that throwing away a broken charger would’ve produced. WORSE store experience ever!!!!! This is the only Apple store in Albuquerque where I live but I will never go there again. Had to wait around to find someone to help me. When I finally did I started to explain the help I was looking for. I tapped the female sales person on her shoulder in a friendly gesture. She said “please don’t touch me”. I said OK and would she like me to work with someone else. Then she accused me of touching her breast! Really?! I told her I was leaving. There were plenty of other salespersons around who saw this interaction. Absolutely NO ONE came up to see if they could help. Then I tried multiple times over hours to get a human on the phone at the store without any luck. So I called Apple customer service who were also unable to get anyone at the store to pick up until after 5 tries. I did finally talk to the store manager who was very receptive.

Very bad experience at the Apple store yesterday evening. Just learned by internet research that we were given completely wrong information by an Apple employee. We were trying to find out how the new iPhones (which are HUGE) compare to the smaller and older iPhone 8. We were told that to get the low light picture capability (I have since learned that this is called night mode in the new iPhones) , we would have to purchase the iPhone 11 PRO as the iPhone 11 did not have this. And, we were told that the capability of the iPhone 11 in low light was about equal to the smaller/older iPhone 8. I have since learned that the iPhone 11has the night mode capability and is much better in low light than an iPhone 8. My advice is to beware of any advice you receive and check on it with another Apple employee or do follow up research on the web. I have been unable to get anyone at the ABQ store to answer the phone so I could relate the issue - was on hold two separate times for more than 15 minutes - the first time disconnected after a long wait - the second time I just gave up. YMMV.

Went in with simple question on iPhone 5s with battery swelling causing screen to push out (it still works). The simple question: Could it be fixed and if not we would buy a new phone? If it could be fixed how long would Apple support it? This is the second 5s we have had this problem with. We got three different answers from the people we talked with - 1st person - “phone expert” - no problem to fix and the phone would be serviceable for at least a year, 2nd person (the guy running the Genius Bar) no problem to fix phone and it would be serviceable for 18 months plus and they had would replace the phone with a new 5s from stock for the battery charge of $49.00 and finally from the genius technician - this phone will be obsolete and considered “vintage” in August or September and won’t be supported beyond then. (and they would need to order the phone which could take up to 10 days). Lots of passing us off from one person to another to another with restarting the wait process each time. We arrived at 12:30 we walked out in total disgust after more than two hours of conflicting stories and not sure who to believe or what to do. We walked over to AT&T and perhaps stupidly bought a new Apple phone, but it was pleasant as spending $1,000 can be. This store is seriously disorganized lots of people running around assigning you to a person. This is the second time this has happened - we will never return!

All I wanted to do today was cancel a battery check appointment at the Apple store. The Apple IVRU is very difficult to use and it's almost impossible to reach an "Apple Customer Care" associate at the ABQ store. I always have to be transferred from another customer care unit to the actual store I'm trying to reach. That said, when I finally do reach someone at the store, the associate is helpful and get the problem solved. The process to reach someone to get help is horrid. I also think having to make an appointment to have your battery checked is ridiculous and not very well communicated.

Went in to see if I could drop off my phone because it will not keep a charge. Not hip on the Apple Support. Did not know you had to make an appointment and couldn’t just drop off. Little guy who I first talked to was rude and condescending. Just told him we did not live In town and it is not that easy to make appointments then started to ask if they had the old chargers and he stepped in front of me and got in my face and asked if I understood what he was saying. Guess if you are charging people that much money, you aren’t too worried about customer service. Have been along time user of Apple and now with this experience, really disappointed!

Today I went to the Apple Store in Albuquerque and was expecting a not too pleasant experience given some of the reviews here. Contrary to my expectations, I had a very pleasant experience! I got to the store just prior to its opening at 10:00 a.m. There was a small group already waiting when I arrived. We were greeted by a young woman as she opened up for us. There were many red-shirted, smiling individuals waiting to help all of us. I had experiences with three different individuals, Luis, Andrew, and Eduardo. Luis greeted me and told me what the process would be for replacing my iPhone 6s battery. I got to the service counter in record time where Andrew checked my phone to make sure the battery was the problem. Once that was done, I was told my phone would be ready in an hour. It was...and Eduardo checked me out quickly. Everyone was great!

Ordered a phone online and went to pick it up in the store. It was absolute madness in there! Very unorganized. I had no idea where to even go! After finding help, it would’ve been a 20 minute wait to get my phone that I had already paid for online. I just left and came back later. Came in on a Saturday and was initially helped by a person named Kait. She was rude from the get go and really unpleasant to work with. After the initial encounter, a different person helped me and was super helpful. Got me setup for a repair and gave me a time to come back. I got back and the phone wasn't quite ready. When it finally was, it as good as new. The whole process took maybe 2.5 hours and was super simple. If I'd only gotten to work with Kait I would have sworn off Apple forever. Other than her, great experience!

Josh the technician took care of the repair/replacement of the single airpod that was defective. Very crowded and a little confusing to get someone to help you. We asked a bunch of questions because a desk top computer purchase is expensive and the technology now is so new and different .. maybe we asked way too many questions? But that’s what they are there for right? I thought so until the sales associate said “look I don’t know, I don’t make them- I just sell them” — That was a bummer and then all the computers were “buggy” and not working so she couldn’t show us anything on the computers either... so we left disappointed and without a computer.

This is the worst Apple store I have ever been to, which sucks because it’s the only one in Albuquerque. The 1st time I visited this store for a phone screen repair I had to wait 3 hours because I did not make an appointment. When someone finally helped me he was rude. I am now on my second visit, I made an appointment this time and showed up 15 minutes early. I walked in nobody greeted me. I attempted to talk to 2 people wearing Apple shirts and holding iPads, assuming they worked there, they completely ignored me. It took me 10 minutes just to find someone available to check in with.

Managed horribly. Went in to get my iPhone battery replaced. Had to make an appointment and come back just for them to run a 2 min diagnostic to identify the battery was bad. Then they gave me a 430pm pick up time, phone was dropped off at 230pm. Showed up at 7pm and waited for 35 mins just to receive my phone. A whole bunch of people standing around doing nothing. Only a select few can really do anything.

You would think with all the technology that apple offers they would have a better way to offer amazing customer service. Just to even sign in there members. I have been here for over 30 minutes and not one out of 30 employees have even bothered to ask me if I have been helped 9/18/19 at 2:13pm. It seems the culture has changed to where working at apple makes you to cool and you have bigger priorities then greeting. Walmart has even stepped up there game. Simen sinek would talk highly about this place but apple clearly lost their reason WHY they do what they do. It takes 2 people for every customer. I recommend coming in a recording how staff treats guests.

Sick and tired going to this snoby store, went there for a new battery, the college age guy, (green behind his ears and arrogant) brought my phone to the back for an inspection and told me they wouldn’t touch the phone because the battery clip was broken. Yeah, Really.?? Brought it to a repair place and I saw with my own eyes, that the guy blatantly lied to me. Had issues with this store before, but this was the worst. I've been to this location a handful of times now and it has always been a pleasant experience. Of course it's busy, a lot of people have Apple products! I've always had the sense to just book an appointment and have always been seen on time. Yesterday Vernon( I believe, I'm terrible at names) helped me with my phone that was having speaker issues. He ran some diagnostics and found that the best route was to replace my phone. I was in and out of the store within 45 minutes, and that is with transferring all my data over. Everyone is always extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They're also very personable. I'll always recommend this location.

If you want the WORST!!! service and most unprofessional tech people or at lest the one I got then please go here. I took my mini ipad in because it wouldn't bluetooth to my heading aids ( I'm am 75% deaf and really need this to work) the first thing out of the of this morons mouth was, he needed out of the case but told me to do it, like he was to damn lazy to do his job. Second this was, your ipad is old, ( not sure a product that is 2 years old falls in the category of being old. Apple should be a better product than needing to be replaced every year as this person said. Anyway this moron wouldn't listen to my issue and he became very aggressive and was of NO!! help what so ever.

Horrible experience!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I get the kids an iPhone 7 for Christmas. Update to 12.1 which on very few iPhone 7 models bricks the phone. Known issue at Apple. Take it in, woman brings out a replacement device, great....then the system “glitches” and now we’ll ship you a new device in 13 business days. Take the replacement to the back. Asked for a manager and there is “nothing” they can do. The can’t cancel the order. They can’t redo it. So now, my son’s Christmas present is 2 weeks late, which his other 3 siblings have their new phones. I love Apple, been loyal for decades. However, this Apple store doesn’t deserve my business, your business or the Apple logo. They don’t understand service which is one of the largest reasons to buy Apple products. The store leader here is a joke and clearly has lost complete control of what service means at Apple.

Helpful and friendly despite holiday craziness! I really must give kudos to The Apple Store at Uptown. I don't know why their rating isn't higher, they've always been very helpful to us. Most recently, my phone battery was dying and I obviously needed a replacement. Looking around online the word seemed to be that battery replacement would take 3-5 days (possibly due to shipping it out?). This upset me because we're a week away from leaving town and the prospect of possibly not getting my phone back OR going out of town with a phone that needs a constant, external battery was daunting. So I went to the Apple store. It was PACKED with with holiday shoppers and other customers. The energy was intense! Patrick checked me in and got me settled. When he saw that too much time past my appointment was passing, he switched roles and immediately helped me. I could've hugged everyone in the room when he told me it would take all of 2 hours for them to replace my battery. Worries just evaporated. He had me taken care of in a matter of minutes and I went off to have fun while waiting for my phone to be fixed. It was all so easy and stress free. And this is not the first time they've come through for us. Thank you!

I tried calling them seeking to buy a battery. I only got an automated answer to my call. When I finally got transferred the second time, I always finding myself waiting and waiting for someone to answer....had to go and could not wait any longer. This happened to me twice today. I hope to get a Samsung next time! Update hours later. I am on the phone waiting for them to answer for 20 minutes and nobody has answer the phone yet. All I got was music in my ears. I hope to get a Samsung Google Phone. As long as I have my Google package, I will be happy. I am going ahead and purchase my iPhone 5s battery and hope for the best or better than waiting forever for Apple to answer me!

While the experts assisting customers in the main Apple showroom are generally helpful and gracious, the genius bar personnel are often arrogant, unhelpful, and plain unknowledgeable about their products. I HIGHLY recommend talking or chatting with someone at Apple Support. They will give you the time and patience that the Uptown genius bar folks won't. I tried several times to get help at the genius bar for issues with my iphone storage. Each time they just tried to sell me a new phone. The person at Apple Support was able to help me understand and ultimately solve my storage issues by helping me to reset various settings and learn how to manage storage. My old phone is working great!! Thank you to Apple Support. DON'T BOTHER WITH UPTOWN GENIUS BAR.

We drove 2.5 hrs. from Taos to visit this store. Ha! Like several of the other commenters, too bad you can't give zero or negative stars. The person who waited on us had zero knowledge of Apple products. My wife and I quickly zipped around the customer interface on one of the display computers, requested the computer we configured, and the poor guy looked dumbfounded. We left and will take care of things ourselves online. On a brighter note, the guy waiting on us at California Pizza Kitchen across the street had a great grasp of CPK products and was eager to learn more. Re the Apple store... I kept thinking about the bit on Big Bang Theory where they talked about going to the local Apple store and making fun of the people working at the "Genius Bar". Obviously no such thing at Uptown Apple. Negative 5 stars. Bad Apple.

They told us on the phone that repairing my wife’s phone wouldn’t be an issue. Then when we drove 4 hours to get there, they said the wouldn’t repair the phone because of an aftermarket screen (doesn’t affect anything on the phone). If you didn’t want to do it you should’ve just said something on the phone before we drove there. Lazy.....

I feel horrible giving the Apple store at Uptown 1 star.....but zero stars was not an option. Came in on a Tuesday to have the battery checked on my dead iPhone 6plus. The greeter asked if I had an appointment. Well, no. I just want my battery checked. It will be about a 4-5 hour wait, or we can schedule an appointment with the earliest being next Saturday starting at 3:15. Went to UBREAKIFIX and had the battery replaced in half an hour at half the cost Apple would have charged.

I would give the store 0 stars had it not been for the overwhelmed staff. the staff would get 5 stars, because the staff was friendly and professional and clearly overwhelmed by the lack of employees or resources.

I went to trade in my iPhone (a 6 for an 8 Plus) and the guys who helped me were amazing!! They didn’t push new expensive products on me like I was afraid they would. They listened to what I wanted, helped me get the most for my money, and even set me up with a free business account. Super friendly and helpful, 100% will go back for all of my Apple needs. Thank you Apple dudes for actually making this a good experience!!

I had purchased some AirPods two days ago come to find out there is a defect in construction. I called Apple Store to see if I can just do an exchange. I’m easily within the 14 day policy. They won’t be getting any in for a couple weeks. I called support to just do the exchange over the phone. I don’t mind the hold on my card. After talking with a total of 4 people (including the store) and explaining this to every one of them the final person informed me I can’t do an exchange over the phone they can just replace that defective earbud. I wanted to just exchange the whole thing. Then I was told that I can be put on hold again to talk with someone else. I proceeded to explain to the lady I thought this is crazy considering I could just walk into the Apple store and they just exchange them out right in person. So now I need to get my money back and order them online??? Maybe I’ll just get my money back at this point.

We call asking for a specific phone, they say they have it in store and we get there to wait 40 minutes and be told they don't have it. If you don't have the phone don't say you have it wasting our time.

First in for battery, still kept having trouble. Went in again and they had to redo my software. First time the greeter tried to tell me there was no way I received a call to come in, but I could make an appointment. So I said fine I'll make an appointment and the minute I spoke with someone else they saw that I was in the system to come in. Second time I checked in and the didn't enter me as checked in so then I was waiting. Now after all that my photos are totally gone when I was told to give it a while and that they'll pop back up. It seems like they are more interested in fast service and herding people in and out for numbers rather than taking their time to give quality customer service. Oh and when I went back in a second time, it was now a software issue, they verified I had backed up my photos and contacts in I Cloud and now they are all gone. Hmmmm, thanks. I own not backing photos up on my computer but we are all not computer savvy and rely on the Apple support staff to guide us in the right direction.

I called with questions regarding the Battery Replacement Program, and lucked out by getting Mark on the phone to answer them. He was informed, he was patient, he had a 10+ sense of humor, though there were a mere 20 minutes left in his day. He answered all my questions quickly and accurately and saved me time in the process. I suggest taking some of Apple CEO's $3.06 million salary and $9.33 million incentive payment from 2017, and use it to GIVE MARK A RAISE!

I advise you NOT to go to this store ... it’s a complete waste of time I scheduled an appointment for 4:40 didnt get talked to until 6:35 just for them to tell me they couldn’t fix my phone because they didn’t have another phone just like it just in case they broke it they knew exactly what kind of phone I had so it would’ve been great if they just canceled the appointment and told me before hand and oh during that 55 minute wait they had employees standing around texting like they couldn’t help .ugh most annoying experience ever

My husband had to get his phone fixed and boy were the lines long & his phone wouldn't be ready till closing time so we had to leave it and re visit the following day.There was a line but not to bad.My husband was told that there the only store so that explains the wait.I recommend if you need to have anything repaired there that you just drop it off.Other wise you better not take your kids unless you take snacks or lunch.

Why is it every time I come to the Apple store there are 10 employees checking people in and a bunch standing around. They still make you wait forever even when they're not busy. Maybe don't have work many check in people and have more employees a tually helping customers.

This place is ridiculous! My mom has early stages of Alzheimer’s so I wrote a note explaining everything that my mom needed help with since I couldn’t be with her! The employee who helped her got in her FACE and called her a thief! My mother needed help with her iPhone she just purchased with T-Mobile and this is how she was treated? She has memory loss and didn’t know her iCloud password and you are gonna belittle someone?!!!!

Came in the store to get a phone fixed that had a defect from an upgrade. The upgrade never took I was told they would fix it. Waited for two hours and was told I would only have to wait an hour and a half. All I see is the guy who is to repair the phone walking around talking to other staff members. Very disappointed in will probably affect my decision on if I buy another iPhone ever again. I never want to come back to the store again. Very very bad experience.

While the store is always packed, it’s also very well staffed. In the few instances that I had to wait for a salesperson, I was always advised how long the wait would be, and I never felt rushed into a purchase decision. The staff pay attention to people coming into the store so you’re not left wandering around, looking for help. What I also appreciated on my last visit was that when it came to making a decision re. a new pair of AirPods to wear on my runs, the person helping me with my new iPhone actually went and found another employee who was a trail runner like myself and could address my specific concerns. That definitely beat making a decision based on online reviews.

I called to ask if they had batteries for iPhone 6 in stock. It took 2 automated answering algoritms, and then two live persons--in total, several minutes. You'd think a store could tell you more quickly whether a certain item was in stock! This experience only fueled my long-standing disappointment--anger, even--at Apple's products and unwieldy customer service.

They have far exceeded the ability to care for the amount of customers coming into the store. Management needs to sound an alarm. This store is too small for the entire state of New Mexico. Wait times are unreasonable even with a Genius Bar appt. Spend some of that cash you are sitting on Apple and step it up in NM.

I have visited this store several times and I end up leaving disappointed every time. I get the feeling that the customer service employees in the store could care less if you buy an apple product, or if you have a good shopping experience. The wait time to buy a phone was absolutely ridiculous in spite of watching employees practically tripping over each other walking around the store. Also, when trying to call the store to get a simple answer to a question, the phone keeps ringing and no one answers. If I wasn’t already familiar with apple products, I would gladly switch to Samsung.

Very poor service, had a display issue with my 8 plus and the backlight bleeding through. Said they needed to replace the screen. 45 mins later I see the same backlight bleed and they pass it off as all iPhones have that. I know my iPhone and it never had that issue. Talked with manager and he refused to swap it out for a new iPhone and or redo there work. Worst apple store and worst customer service!!!

These people need customer service training. Even simple things like being polite, and knowing how to engage with customers seemed beyond their comprehension level. I was rudely told my battery could not be replaced (after making an appointment and hours of waiting), and that I would have to buy a new phone. I was then ignored for an additional 15 minutes. I then decided, if I had to purchase a new phone, it would not be an iPhone. I was able to find another store to replace my battery and they did it in 5 minutes.

I bought the most expensive iPhone to use with my business and now when it's not working I can't get an appointment with the local Apple store until a week from today!!! Sure, it's under warranty which does me absolutely no good because the local store is so short staffed that they don't even take walk-ins when I went to the store. The "helpful" Apple Care staff say that the only thing I can do is send the phone back and do without my business phone or wait a week to get an appointment at the store. In ALL of my years of having different types of business cell phones, I've never spend SOOO much money for such POOR/NONEXISTENT service.

Apple store was horrible, tech gave attitude when trying to reset iPad password for my mom. Apple gives attitude that they are great and both tech and manager had smug attitudes blaming mom for not remembering password. Wait time was horrible too as their system did not send text message saying appointment was ready and made us wait almost an hour when they said would only be 15 mins. Apple is a brand that needs to die.
